Manary Praia celebrates traditional Northeastern hospitality in warm elegance, just across the pedestrian promenade from Praia de Ponta Negra. This well-appointed boutique property's cozy, intimate feel-and its acclaimed restaurant-make returning a pleasure, whether you've spent the day lounging in a hotel-provided sun bed on the beach, or exploring Rio Grande do Norte's coast.
After all, there's plenty to see here. Morro do Careca, the picturesque "bald" dune, looms just 1.5 miles (2.5 kilometers) down the beach. A 5-minute drive away, you can hop onto scenic Via Costeira; the coastal road leads up through Natal's urban beaches to the star-shaped medieval fort Fortaleza dos Reis Magos, a must-see 25 minutes north. Just over an hour farther, popular snorkeling destination Maracajau beckons with its warm, crystal water and stretches of coral formations. And Manary Praia's on-site car rentals and free parking make excursions a snap.
After hours in the sea air, sit down to a delicious meal at the hotel's own restaurant, Manary Gastronomia e Arte, where artfully-prepared dishes highlight regional flavors. The restaurant serves a complimentary breakfast, as well as lunch and dinner. (The restaurant draws patrons from all over town, so being a little early for dinner can't hurt.)
You can also order a bite to eat from the lovely outdoor pool area. Staying here all day can be tempting, so complimentary wireless Internet access (also available in the bar and guestrooms) is a nice touch.
When you're ready to unplug, Amana Spa can help. Treat yourself to a massage, facial, or a full body treatment. Just need a little alone-time? Sneak an hour in the spa tub.
And speaking of soothing retreats, 23 guestrooms offer sea views, or look out over the tropical garden, waterfall, and carp pool. Verandas with hammocks allow you to step out for a breath of fresh air (and they even have complimentary wireless Internet access). Surf the cable channels. If your stomach is rumbling long before the buffet breakfast begins at 6 AM, room service is available until midnight.

The hotel is sandwiched to the north and south by Praia do Meio and Praia dos Artistas, two of the city's most visited beaches. Both beaches are located within a 10-minute walk. The popular Ponta Negra beach is a 20-minute drive away. Once here, walk to the end of the beach for spectacular views of Morro do Careca, the city's largest sand dune. Many of the city's best restaurants and bars are clustered just a short walk from here. The Ponta Negra neighborhood especially comes to life around Avenida Engenheiro Roberto Freire. The Forte dos Reis Magos is also a must-see while you’re here. The star-shaped fortress lies at the northern tip of the city, about a 10-minute drive from the hotel.
While restaurants abound in the neighborhood, you'll always have the convenient option of enjoying some local cuisine at Maranello, the onsite restaurant, and don't forget about the complimentary daily breakfast buffet. Need to make a fax or copy? The business center has got you covered, and complimentary wireless Internet throughout the hotel will keep all your devices connected at all times. If you do want to "switch off," you can kick back at the pool or have an invigorating workout in the fitness center. With secured onsite parking, you can travel to area beaches and sites without worrying about finding a spot at the hotel.
After a day at the beach, return to a bright and comfortable room with windows that open to cool sea breezes. Grab a drink and a snack from the minibar, or order up some room service if you feel like staying in. Complimentary wireless Internet access allows you to stay up-to-date on email, and premium cable keeps you up-to-date on your favorite shows. Private bathrooms include hair dryers and extra towels. Accessible rooms are available for guests with physical disabilities.
