Building was beautiful, really nicely done, big room and bathroom, luxurious. Very Private. Very clean. Breakfast wasn’t grand but simply sufficient but we think there we only two other guests. There has been a lot of investment in the property and it’s visible everywhere. The chandeliers and all the other lighting was immaculate.
We booked the room online at 20:08, at 20:11 I received a text message asking our arrival time. We arrived at the property at 20:23. The gate to the property was locked. I received another text message saying the person in charge will be there in 10 minutes... after ten minutes wait someone arrived and let us in. He told us the restaurant was closed and asked if we wanted anything from bar. He also asked what time we want breakfast. Then he slowed at us to our room, told us minibar is full and everything is ready. Within a few minutes I found the fridge to be empty, there was no tea, coffee or milk and no water glasses. As there were no other staff at the property I called the man who let us in,he said he will bring everything to the room. He came with jar of coffee, 2 mineral waters, 2 cokes, 1 beer and 1 non alcoholic beer. No spirits, wine or mixers etc. A Few minutes later I was getting ready for a bath only to realise there were no toiletries, only a bottle of shower gel. By now it was 9pm. The next day after breakfast we left and have been charged extra for one spring water and a coke. This place is not a hotel. A hotel has staff 24/7. They should really market it as Private Chateau at the moment. It is gorgeous but it is not a 4* hotel. I am sure it will be amazing when all the issues are ironed out. It is a work in progress and could be amazing with more attention to detail and more customer focus.
- ancient historical castle, museum-like; - fully renovated, all brand new facilities; - ginormous apartment with a size of bathroom equal to the sizes of the whole apartments in many other hotels; - completely quite rural area, lakeshore; - free welcome drinks in the fridge.
- no dinner available in the local restaurant, closest place to eat is in 10 minutes drive. Breakfast was good though.
Amazing small palace aging 16th century. Close to motorway and ruins of another castle on top of the mountain. Spacious, rooms with beautiful, authentic decor and furnitures. Super nice and friendly hosts, great breakfast. Possibility of horse riding.
What a lovely getaway! Beautiful location and the lady who takes care of the guests was very kind and friendly.
No room service or maid service but towels were provided when needed. Nevertheless, this would not stop me from returning to this lovely Zamek.
There was not much to say other than the internet was a bit slow and x but this is to be expected in rural areas
