When you a stay at Hotel Ordoñez Sandoval in Ubeda, you'll be in the historical district, just steps from Plaza del Marques de la Rambla and Casa Museo Arte Andalusi. Featured amenities include a 24-hour front desk and luggage storage.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Pepe, the owner, could not be more helpful. He was wonderful. The ambience and family artefacts around the place made for a very memorable experience.
Cons: Nothing to dislike. But if there was an honesty bar I would have given this 11 points out of 10!
9.6 Excellent
Pros: There are only 3 rooms in this lovely hotel. The building is 250 years old, and the decor reflects that. The house has always belonged to the same family, and the owner lives in the premises. The room was huge, and there was a big bathroom with a tub. Breakfast was nice. A couple of minutes walk to the old town.
8.8 Excellent
Pros: The hotel is in an about 500 years old wonderful 2 stories house, lots of family collections and antiques. The room is pretty modernized, comfortable and clean. The excellent breakfast is served in a large beautiful dining room, one can imagine dining like a royalty. There are many restaurants around and very easy walk to all the attractions! One other amazing experience is that we got waken up by thousands of birds chirps!
Cons: The showehead is a little broken, so the water spreads all over!
9.6 Excellent
Pros: The two words that best sums up Hotel Ordonez Sandoval are 'authentic' and 'gracious'. The hotel is the family home of your host - and is furnished to a high standard with authentic family furniture. The building is a large professional person's house renovated in the 19th century. The rooms are large, very comfortable and elegant. This is not an ultra-modern new building thrown up behind an old facade; it is an old building that has been tastefully modernised. The complimentary breakfast was a good Spanish-style buffet and a great way to start the day. The hotel location is ideal - just inside the old town (so within easy walking distance of all the main sights) but lose to the Plaza Andaluzia (and its underground car park at which hotel guests obtain a discount). An easy walk with the suitcases.
Cons: Nothing - it was fabulous!
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Beautiful mid 18th century grand house which has been in the same family since the beginning. A real honour and pleasure to be able to experience multigenerational history made real by current owner who generously shares family stories told through photos and paintings of his ancestors. Thank you!! House is situated in narrow street but good public parking is about 100 metres away. Perfect location to explore historic Ubeda.
Cons: Everything was perfect.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: A authentic period home with original interior decor maintained and restored for us to enjoy. The host was genially proud of his heritage home, he was friendly, helpful and informative. The town a gem with many eateries and not so touristy.
Cons: Nothing
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Pepsi (the owner) was brilliant. More than happy to share the history of the 1750s building. All facilities are great and the proximity to restaurants very close. Breakfast was more than adequate and presented beautifully
Cons: Difficult to find the entrance to hotel as GPS struggles to find it in the old quarter, but well worth the effort
10.0 Excellent
Pros: A lovely historic building with lots of character in a great location

Pros: The building’s historic architecture, furnishings and the clean spacious rooms. Access to tea and coffee making facilities with small refreshments Amazing breakfast selection Amazing host Good position for exploring Úbeda

Pros: Wonderful hospitality. We really felt like guests in someone's home.
9.2 Excellent
Pros: A charming historical hotel, in a good location for seeing the town
Cons: The room was cold and we could only get cold air to come out of the room heater although it was set on a high temperature. Neither were any of the radiators on.
8.0 Excellent
Pros: Charming place, good location, difficult arriving with a car.
Cons: Mediocre internet reception, which is a problem for me.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: This whole experience was stunning. Rosa greeted me like an old friend, gave me her mobile number in case of need at any time, and told me she hoped it would feel like home. The building is gorgeous and furnished with real character. Rooms are just lovely and look out onto leafy courtyards - perfect for peaceful reading in the sun. Lots of nice touches, too, tea/coffee and snacks, a bowl of sweets in the room. This really felt like staying in a palace, a private home, and not a hotel. And that's very special. I was sorry to only be staying one night but this place is reason enough on its own to return for a second visit to Ubeda. Thank you!
Cons: If you really want a Corby trouser press and a 24hr reception desk this isn't for you. Otherwise this place is faultless.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Fantastic 16th century manor house in the centre of Ubeda. It was beautiful, full of old world charm. Our bedroom was huge with access to a private garden and very large sitting room. We didn't see another guest although we were told one other couple were staying but the were attending a family wedding. Felt like we had stepped back in time. Rosa, who checked us in was charming and prepared us a delicious breakfast each morning. Just loved our stay.

Cons: Breakfast could have offered healthier options, fruit, yoghurt, museli etc
10.0 Excellent
Pros: This is a beautiful hotel in a medieval home in the spectacular Renaissance town of Ubeda. I stayed in the single room which is likely the most basic room in the hotel, but was very comfortable with European decor and a great bathroom. This hotel also had the best breakfast I have ever had in a hotel, bar none. What stands out for me however with this stay was Lorenzo's INCREDIBLE kindness and helpfulness when this bonehead's rental car was towed (it was Semana Santa and parking was at hard to find in Ubeda, but I still should have known better). Lorenzo drove me to the police station, helped me pay the fine, drove me to the impound lot and waited with me for the police to come and spring my car. I never would or could have expected this, but I can't even begin to say how grateful I was (and still am). I had a wonderful trip traveling all over Spain but I think that Lorenzo's kindness is going to be one of my fondest memories, even if it was a result of my stupidity. GRACIAS LORENZO - I hope to stay with you again in Ubeda, maybe not during Semana Santa!
Cons: Nothing
10.0 Excellent
Pros: The fascinating, old fashioned room The superb, quality breakfast in front of old cellar (homemade churros!) The easy access to city Excellent price/quality ration
Cons: The fan of the bathroom was a bit too noisy
9.6 Excellent
Pros: Stylish & old fashioned high quality service. Great location, comfortable bed, good shower - everything you'd want at excellent value. Really enjoyed the breakfast which was centred around artisan embutidos, jamones, quesos, etc. This may not be to everyone's taste or dietary requirement, but I loved it. Already planning our return.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: This hotel is so beautiful, clean and well managed, I don't think it gets more lovely then this. The breakfast was fit for a queen!
Cons: Nothing.

8.8 Excellent
Pros: The staff were friendly, the facilities were very modern with a huge 2-person sized shower, and the breakfast was good. The hotel was located very centrally in the heart of town and there was parking available just 50 metres away.
Cons: The room was better for a couple rather than 2 friends. The twin beds were jammed together and wall shelves meant you couldn't move them apart. Then the toilet and shower had frosted glass doors, so not very private. There was also no proper window, only aircon.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: A fabulous small boutique hotel in the centre of town. The free public car park is close by. Breakfast was stunning and by far one of the best we’ve ever had in Spain. I cannot recommend the hotel highly enough.

The bed and the pillows were extremely comfortable. Bathroom was large and everything needed was supplied. Also, there was AC in the room.
9.0 Excellent
Pros: A modern hotel well situated but would advise the use of a sat nav .Seemed to be managed by a very young staff. Food was pratty standard but that was offset by very reasonable price . close to most sites no need to use a car once you've arrived at the hotel. Street parking only and we were lucky to get a place opposite the front door. For a short stay we would recommend this place rooms are small but very clean pool very private staff excellent.
9.2 Excellent
Pros: An enjoyable hostel, nice room, close to everything of tourist interest. The evening spent in the hostel’s cafeteria very enjoyable, also due to the agreeable personality of bartender. It is lovely how the city abruptly ends with fields touching the streets – there a lot of parking place might be found, some 100 m from the hostel.
Cons: Breakfast could do with some more imagination.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: The room, location, airco, free parking not far from the hotel, and the pool. Lovely place!
Cons: A lot of shade by the pool so it was pretty cold every day. Breakfast was simple but ok. More fresh fruit would be nice and maybe one milk alternative like soy milk for those who are intolerant.
9.6 Excellent
Pros: Nice ladies on the Reception desk. Good location. Would definitely recommend.
Cons: Too thin blankets

5.8 Okay
Pros: Top location in the city center and in an old refurbished Palacio
Cons: The room was not worthy a 5-star gl hotel. The shower -although very sophisticated- did not work properly, the bath was not cleaned well. TV positioned way too far from the bed and hidden by the sofa. Batroom furniture not practible ar all. Check-in, reception too small and manned by only one person leading to increased waiting time to check-in &out......in short, this hotel can do a lot better and has to do better to deserve 5 star grand luxe rating!

Pros: Lovely parador in historic building. Old style, but very comfortable. Great breakfast. Perfect location for exploring the gorgeous architecture of Ubeda.
7.1 Good
Pros: Reception staff were particularly friendly, attentive and helpful. Food and service in the dining room was great too. The building itself is wonderful and in a beautiful location.
Cons: Rooms are not all of a luxury standard, especially the bathrooms, which are quite dated. The first room we were given was rather dark with little natural light, only had one chair and no room on the table to put any of our personal belongings. We asked for a different room after the first night, and it was much better, bright and spacious but again, the bathroom was dated and there was a leak over the handbasin. Maybe our expectations were too high but we expected a more luxurious feel from a Parador.
8.3 Excellent
Pros: The building and bedroom
Cons: Restaurant environment stuffy, supper menu dull and average breakfast. Reception staff spoke very very limited english. The building itself is magnificant

Maria de Molina - Úbeda - Building
16
8.6 Excellent (511 reviews)
Overview Reviews
When you a stay at Hotel María de Molina in Ubeda, you'll be in the historical district, just steps from Alfareria Tito and Ubeda Town Hall. The front desk is staffed during limited hours.
8.8 Excellent
Pros: Excellent location
Cons: Very limited facilities at the hotel, no tea/coffee making facilities or even enough water which was the only thing in the mini bar. After a very warm night the hotel could not provide more water even after we offered to pay extra and as it was a Sunday there were no shops open for us to buy water.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: The location was perfect - many sites were merely steps away! The best water pressure ever in the shower
Cons: The air conditioning could not keep up - however it was over 100F so that could be why.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: The hotel
Cons: The city of Ubeda
7.5 Good
Pros: Ubeda has a lovely old town when you find it, they really do maintain the area well. This hotel is amongst the old architecture and fits in beautifully. The receptionist was great and explained how to get in and out at night when they lock the front door, we found a restaurant called Bar El Mano nearby where we possibly had one of the best meals of our life. The breakfast is possibly a bit pastry heavy, but maybe I was just lucky
Cons: Unfortunately I have had to mark the hotel down for the bathroom. There was a large oval bath, as this is a large if slightly awkward shape bathroom, so could be fantastic , but the shower screen was very rusty and there were cracks in the tiling , sealant etc all round the bath area. The bedroom needed a little attention around electrical sockets, which was a shame as amazing view over the square and large room.
7.1 Good
Pros: Excellent location and friendly personnel
Cons: No Inter in the rooms end though it was advertised in their web site. Also, the international in the reception was very weak and working intermittently The water in the shower was either too hot or too cold, I could never make it work properly
9.2 Excellent
Pros: I liked the location, friendliness of staff, cleanliness of room.
Cons: We weren't offered any cooked breakfast.
9.6 Excellent
Pros: Historic building . Stall very helpful and good breakfast
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Beautiful small hotel in former private home that an integral part of this enchantingly preserved and restored small , mostly Renaissance town. Quiet, historic, without too many tourists (in October). Somehow the tasteless touristy intrusions of 21st century have been restrained or kept out completely—unlike so many other towns in Andalucia. Fine breakfast.
Cons: Nothing to not like. Furnishings a little worn, but that just adds to the atmosphere. We found street parking, but imagine parking might be challenging in high season.
9.6 Excellent
Pros: Great little hotel !

Pros: Location, room size.
Cons: Cold (hot) breakfast, missing breakfast items. Car parking process - the car park is accessed by car-elevator which is ok however one has to park in front of the elevator then leave the car and head on down to reception and check in before the car park lift is opened! Not ideal when there is a queue!!

Pros: Very well located
Cons: The lift for your car no signs telling you how to park for it to work. If you are not right it does not work lights go out not good if you suffer from claustrophobia

Pros: Great building (who doesn't love staying in a palace?) and a very comfortable room. Location was perfect for me - 10mins walk from the bus station, a few seconds' walk in the other direction to a lovely local bakery for excellent simple breakfasts with the locals, 2 minutes to the main square.
Cons: Somehow in the process of turning this into a hotel it's become rather corporate. Yes everything works efficiently, but the place rather lacks personality. Bedroom furnishings were very bland (though the bathroom was lovely). 9euros for breakfast is a bit cheeky, too (I declined, my 2 euro option at the bakery was perfect).
9.6 Excellent
Pros: Fabulous historical property. Very central location. Advised us where we could park car for free short distance away.
Cons: No drink making facility in the rooms.
7.5 Good
Pros: The hotel building was a former palace. When you look up the ceiling at the reception, you will be back to the time when the city had been flourished.
7.9 Good
Pros: The actual building itself
Cons: No window in the room, only on the corridor of the court yard. They have no credit cards facilities so only cash is accepted≥ . Only Spanish speaking was available.
9.6 Excellent
Pros: Breakfast was good Spanish style not hot but everything fresh and tasty The ancient house is fabulous When we arrived the owners son was having a birthday lunch, we were immediately invited.
Cons: I have no criticism at all

The breakfast was also great. we felt that the price was cheap for the beauty and excellence of everything. we will come back for sure. Thank you so much for the beautiful moments in the Palace. Heinrich and Joana Stammen
Cons: everything was perfect. Perfect.
8.3 Excellent

Cons: Met expectations
10.0 Excellent
Pros: We stayed here while exploring Jaen, Ubeda and Sabiote, and had a really lovely stay – one of my favourite hotel in the world! The Palacio was built in the 16th century, and has an amazing hall, where you have breakfast – it is such a wonderful place to sit! And a very good breakfast! The service is excellent, and Andres at reception had helped me on the phone and then was a great help again with recommendations for restaurants. He recommended ‘Canela en Rama’ – we had the best tapas we have ever had – great taste with a modern twist – the cook clearly varies what he does and adds his own touch. You can park just along from the hotel (not on the main road) –I think we parked in Pablo de Olvide – make sure you buy a ticket if you want to park in the early morning or in the evening as there is a traffic warden – she is very friendly and will help you pay if you have a problem! You can’t drive up to the doors of the Palacio – so try to park there if you can – there are quite a few places and it’s cheap to park (about 55c an hour for the periods when you have to pay). The room we had was large and comfortable, and we had a lush bath – very relaxing to lie in a huge bath when you have been sightseeing. The bed is comfortable, with a long thin pillow (a small bolster) – you may want to ask for more pillows. Our room had windows which looked onto the hall. My favourite thing about the whole hotel is the large wooden carved ceiling by reception – it is stunningly beautiful – and with all the other features of the hotel, just makes it an amazing place to stay and experience – with this hotel, you will definitely remember it as an experience, whether you were most impressed by the six hundred-year-old ceiling, the large staircase or the hall with all its arches on all floors. We will definitely come back to Baeza, just to stay in this hotel!

Pros: Everything was perfect (aside from a dodgy shower head). The three different members of staff on duty during our stay were all very nice indeed. The pool is perfectly cool for a hot July and the bar service great. Great location too. Free parking close by but we opted to park a short walk away on the edge of town. Would definitely return.

Cons: Breakfast was a bit basic coffee and a small baguette with butter and jam.

Pros: Nice, large room with large balcony. Lunch was Nice too, restaurant was closed however for the evening. Good to have this hotel as stopover during our cycling trip. Not much else around for many km’s.
Cons: Breakfast is very simple (toastada with jam and coffee). Staff not unfriendly but neither very welcoming. Bed is rather hard and with plastic undercovering. Quite sweaty...

Pros: Very comfortable hotel. Good food. Good value.
Cons: On edge of town in slightly industrial area, though very nice views of mountains, so quite a walk into town centre, though fine if you want a bed for night
