Good room Pigeons on the roof (very noisy and annoying) no parking space around
Good service. . But it's hell finding the hotel coming from the highway
We, I did not like that the breakfast where more expensive then you said, we have to pay 13€ not 12€, as it was when we booked the room.
better cost benefit (price per day Vs quality of room and facilities )- close to all principal city exits / nice pool area as well expensive breakfast
Comfort, location, free internet.
Efficient and pleasant service. Nice swimming pool. Good, if slightly expensive, breakfast. Comfortable bed and bathroom.
cleanliness and comfort
Conveniently located for visiting Aix. The staff was very gracious and our request for a quiet room was fulfilled. The room seemed small for a 'luxe' hotel and the window was also small and placed high which contributed to the claustiphoic feel.
1.) Good quality breakfast buffet. (but the most expensikve one of all 4 star hotels I know). 2.) Komfortble parking facilities. No, nothing that could not be taken care of at the desk.
Very clean and comfortable. The facility is good and good location. It's convenient to reach the downtown area. No.
The hotel has recently been renovated and was very clean and comfortable. The staff was generally good to excellent. There were not enough personnel at Reception when checking in and checking out. Epsecially when there are tour groups at the hotel, it is essential to increase taffing at the Reception desk.
The location Did not like the restaurant staff. One waitress was very, very rude.
no bath although one was requested-room smelt of smoke ,although non smoking requested-when mentioned to reception told that they were full and nothing could be done
Staff were very friendly and helpful
we liked access to the thermes (whirlpool, hammam, sauna) and the location of the hotel. staff not really welcoming and the bathroom was not as clean we expected.
Location, bright room, clean. Access to the spa (not free), sauna and jacuzzi and fitness (free). Parking included (10 euro per night). Regular price is 195 euro and it is very high. We stayed there for our 39 wedding day and your agent informed them about it but they did nothing about it.
The relaxed ambience and the excellent pool facilities
The location was excellent in the centre of Aix and we especially enjoyed relaxing in the sheltered garden in the warm sunshine in November.
The location in Aix-en-Provence was ideal - right in the heart of the city center, close to all the shops, cafes. The price was good considering the location, and our room had a wonderful view.
Very good location, close to city center The shower hanger was broken.
This hotel offered ideal, central location, accommodating and kind staff, great value and charm. We were looking for a relaxing stay and it was quiet, peaceful and our balcony offered a gorgeous view just above the city. The table and chairs outside were a perfect place to start the day with coffee and enjoy the sunset shinning from St. Victoire to Marseille. The TV offered channels in several languages and fresh robes and slippers always available to wear over to the spa. Although we never ate at the restaurant, the bar offered good drinks in a nice environment. Excellent value and experience. Parking was a little tricky, would be nice if they offered vallet with the overnight fee.

location, staff, confort...
good room. clean --
It was close to airport for car drop off. That was the only thing we liked about the hotel. The room was very low budget. Not nice. Restaurant had no ambiance. The only hotel we did not like on our trip to France. We will not stay again and will not recommend it. Staff signed us up for shuttle and there was no Shuttle. If you are used to upper class hotels, stay somewhere else and take their shuttle or a taxi to the airport. It was a bad way to end our trip. We ended up lugging our luggage for at least a half mile to shuttle to airport. You may as well stay in a nice hotel and have an enjoyable last night...and you won't have to lug your luggage. Unless you can't afford a better hotel, don't stay here.
The friendly and helpful staff.
Friendly patron and his wife. Off road secure parking available for an extra fee. Decorated with colourful patchwork wall hangings made by a member of the patron's family. Good breakfast. No chairs or suitcase stand in the room. Limited hanging space for clothes and no chest of drawers. Bottles from cafe/bar tipped noisily into a bin at 5 o'clock in the morning.
helpfull staff, can speak english, can point you in the right direction, where to go what to see, where you can eat.For me it is close to Mont San Victoire and great walking and cycling area. none that are worth a comment.
It's close to a mini-supermaket what is good because of the lack of restaurant choices nearby the hotel Reception desk and parking closes at 20:00.
Authentic hotel/inn in pleasant town Bed had seen better days
- the position - the room was quite small
clean, quite, good location small toilets, small rooms
great atmosphere no fridge in the room
Very friendly staff. Speak English. Big rooms. The rooms are well isolated from the sound of the street nearby. Good restaurants nearby. No
Very helpful and friendly staff (hotel owners, I guess), cosy hotel, good breakfast, several good restaurants for dinner in walking distance from the hotel. Perfect location for exploring Provence - no trafic jams, no big problems with parking, everything is not far if 100 - 200 km per day is not a problem to you. No problems with English, French would be an advantage, of course. There was a little bit noisy in the room from the street side in the evening, but this problem can be solved by closing the window.
A real find. An excellent hotel.
The staff was courteous and helpful and responsive to special requests. The rooms were renovated and had wall TV and internet connections.
Helpful staff. Free off-street parking. Caramel candies at the front desk. Free internet access.Free soft drinks in the minibar. Design of the lobby and guestroom. I thought the 19-euro price for breakfast was high, so we did not eat there.
The hotel staff were very helpful and extremely friendly in a relaxed natural manner. We had a boiler breakdown (no0 hot water) one morning and they were very apologetic and provided breakfast without charge. The rooms are a little tired - clean but carpet stains and chpped paintwork let them down.
The location is good and the room is clean & tidy.
An excellent, clean, well run hotel with some nice touches close to everything!
This is a great place as a home base for touring around the South of France. It is clean and confortable and unique. It is within walking distance to Cours Mirabeau and provides free parking if you reserve it in advance. We were relieved as parking in Aix en Provence is a challenge.
The facilities were excellent, staff very friendly and helpful and the location very handy to the historic centre, restaurants and shops. A very comfortable hotel, modern and well-thought out rooms.
Location / Staff / Breakfast served from 06.30am until 12 noon Have stayed before second visit.
The room was spacious and clean and the design was modern. Free internet and staff that was generally helpful.
The restaurant is high quality and children friendly. Tennis court could be better maintained
Clean, comfortable and functional No coffee makong facility in the room
Welcoming staff, excellent food with very quiet hotel and surroundings. The bar closing just after 10pm. Needs a closing time of at least 11pm for guests, as there are no coffee making facilities in room.
The hotel was easy to find and the room comfortable and clean. It has a nice swimming pool. The staff had a tofee nosed attitude and the breakfast considering the price was very poor.
friendless of staff, quiet ambiance. no
Hotel staff were all very friendly and helpful. Interconnecting rooms (118/119) suited us very well. Lot of noise from people above using shower in the morning
Location; large, light airy bedroom and bathroom Only dinner option available was very expensive gourmet menu - not suitable for a vegetarian (me) or my teenage children.
The general atmosphere and impression is inconsistent with the price of a very good if not luxury hotel that its price and description implies; the termal waters and other spa procedures turned out to be difficult to obtain (special reservations are required for everything in this city and the hotel does not help with this, just charging extra for any little service); you feel unwilling intruder there rather than a guest
Hotel is a little gem with excellent facilities and health suite. Pool is small with limited sun beds but the service at the hotel was excellent, as was the food.It is situated within easy walking distance of the village centre and lakes are easily within reach for access to water sports. A very enjoyable stay. We had 2 rooms. In one the air conditioning worked very well, in the other it did not.
Staff couldn't have been more helpful. Restuarant was of a 5* standard, although not stuffy, food was excellent, the best of our holiday. Outdoor pool was great with plent of sunbeds. Garage parking avalaible. Really well run hotel, we completely relaxed here. Will definately return.
Brand new, comfortable with great staff. In an odd location but great to stop off at if enroute. Difficult to find. Room service was slow and they charge 25% surcharge.
Clean, modern, new rooms. Quiet location. Friendly staff. Restaurant service was quite poor although food (dinner) was good. Would recommend not eating at the restaurant, except maybe for breakfast.
The restaurant was excellent for business entertainment.
Excellent shiny new hotel. Large clean room with all mod cons. Free parking. Staff friendly and helpful. Decent restaurant and breakfast fine. Not close to city centre but we knew that when we chose it purely as an overnight stop.
the room was comfortable and it was very clean. the staff was helpful. it was hard to find, even with a gps in the car.
The staff were fantastic. They spoke good English and were very helpful. The rooms were modern and clean . I would like there to have been internet facilities available. The price did not include breakfast and so was quite expensive compared with other hotels we stayed at while in France
We liked the cleanliness of rooms, convenient location, good amenities (including internet access)
New building hotel ,new forniture, parking free .Staff Gentle No difficulties to reach it by car if you put in your GPS one address as "Avenue Agostine Fresnel " near to the Hotel) The Change( little increase ) at moment of the payment of charged price per night (from the one agreed trough Booking.com) only on 2 more nights extension directly requested on site
It was very clean and comfortable. Free wifi. Breakfast should be included in the price.
Nice and modern facilities... Their official address is far from the actual hotel. We arrived to Aix-en-Provance at 2 a.m. and spent more than an hour trying to find the location. Very annoying. The receptionist could not guide us either so by pure luck we got on to a highway that eventually took us to the hotel. Part of the reason why we booked this hotel was due to the location and to our surprise the hotel was 10km from the given location.
Lot of activities for children in this vacation resort Poor breakfast. Nor ideal for people who want to be close to the typical Provencal vallage, since this is approx. 2 km outside the village centre
Misleading Name,as it was like a holiday camp ,Nothing like a Chateau.
Everything! very comfortable and ideal for families. Big rooms.
The delicious dinner in the beautiful outdoor setting, the lovely swimming pool, outstanding morning coffee, our lovely balcony
The Chateau itself is nice -- it has a nice 'rustic, old world elegance' about it. The grounds are lovely and the staff was friendly. If it wasn't for our rooms, I would recommend the hotel. However, if you can verify that your room will be in the chateau itself, the whole experience may be better. We were placed in another building outside the chateau. The rooms my family stayed in were not up to the Chateau's 4-star rating (be warned!). I will say that they were large enough and had nice sitting areas outside - a nice addition for families travelling with children or in groups. Note that the pool did not have a 'shallow end' - so this not ideal for small children. But my kids loved running around the grounds.
authentic XVI, XVII and XVIII century building with many features remaining unchanged. It creates a very special atmosphere; flexibility of breakfast time and checkout - no-one called us at checkout time to ask us leave the rooms. there is no public transport connection to the city on Friday; the lobby staff had very limited knowledge of the surroundings (e.g. bus schedule, airport transportation, shops opening hours etc), the restaurant was closed and we weren't notified.
Attention to detail....staff could not be more helpful...
area and nature around the hotel. service and Cuteness.Restaurant with high quality and professional food.
Nice Chateau Hotel but surrounded by big suburbun malls
Yes, very much. We stayed an extra day. Price of drinks.
beautiful place. felt at home very quickly, probably because all is very open. you can come and go everywhere.relaxing atmosphere. We had a room with a little private terrace which was very nice. We did not eat the at the restaurant, but it looked good. the lighting of the main terrace could be improved. nevermind it was nice
I liked the chateau and grounds, the pool, the outdoor dining area and my room. The location was not optimal for the type of visit I had.
I liked the rooms with private garden, the shady trees, the grounds and the food.
The pool at the end of a hot day was fantastic. It was easy to get into centre ville from the hotel and the air conditioning actually worked.
Very nice room, for fair price. Wireless connection to internet for free for 15 min. It's enoght for quick checking emails. Why there is just one plug in for electrical devices? Now days on holidays you have notebook, camera or digital photo camera and mobile phone. And you have to charge them over night.
newly renovated hotel with perfect bathroom& High bed^very comfortable to sleep it is very far from city center!!!! good for business confereneces^ probably but not for family rest for such a price
Location in Aix de Provence Directions to the hotel, it difficult to find, drove around for an hour at night trying to find the property. Thomas was very helpful when I called for better directions.
- restaurant open and not too expensive; - close to bus stop: - confortable, large and for free parking - noise from highway very well screened - small room for three persons - no minibar (you could need to keep low temperature for children's food)
Parking, clean rooms and reasonably quiet although close to motorway Location - not to stay here without a car
nice and tidy room, unlimited wifi service, spacious carpark... room too small, distant from town centre...
the size of the rooms. i had to upgrade to a suit with no discount
The hotel is great! The room is cleaned and had the towels changed everyday and the bed is very confortable. The breakfast is very good as well. The location is perfect, because is near to the highways and you can travel around Provence easily. The parking is free!
Very clean rooms, had a fitness room and good gym equipment (2 treadmills, 2 ellipticals, and a rowing machine), free parking, good rate, quiet. Far from the city center, small rooms, staff was okay but not overly helpful.
Very friendly, service-oriented staff. Convenient for access by car, with on-site parking. Room very small, rather cramped, and immediate surroundings not appealing.
The price is ok, but it's a little far and the bus doesn't stop in front of the hotel.
Great staff and warm atmosphere in the hotel.
Friendly and helpful staff.
Very pleasant basic hotel. Lovely staff.
The location was very convenient to access the autoroute as well as walking to Aix tourist spots. The room was very small and there was a charge for everything ( ie: 2 euros for a cup of coffee) Staff was not particularly helpful.
Lovely hotel. Friendly, helpful staff. Highly recommended!
We found the hotel welcoming; comfortable and relaxing. It was conveniently close to the centre of Aix and we were able to do all we wanted to do without using the car. This was safely lefted in the hotel carpark
This is a very basic hotel along the lines of a Super 8 in the United States. The desk staff was very friendly and helpful. The bedspread is obviously not washed regularly (as it is not in most hotels) and moving it caused both of us to sneeze.
Great hotel! The rooms were clean, and the staff were very helpful. I would recommend the hotel to anyone.
Personnel was friendly Not clean (bathrooms); there was mildew all around the sink and the shower head was about to come out of the the wall. Towels were not the cleanest either. There was hair everywhere.
excellent location: most of staff very helpful only provide 1 roll of toilet paper per stay and do not provide automatic dish washer soap: need to buy both at market:
It was probably the best breakfast ever offered at any hotel I've stayed at in France. The waiting staff however, seemed a bit clueless - not noting all the used dishes stacking up on the tables and having to ask them to fill up the milk and hot water flasks. Also, a tramp followed us into the hotel one day, through the parking garage. He went straight to the garbage room and started raking around. When I mentioned this to hotel staff, they said they were aware of it and allowed him to do this. Although he seemed harmless, I felt this innapropriate in terms of the access he had to the cars and also that he could gain directly into the hotel!
close to city center, friendly staff, good facilities, Nothing at all
it's better to making your own meal in your room because it's very hard to find one interesting restaurant in town. I have to wash all cooking appliances. They all kinda dirty, and got a lot of stain.
The location was great. The suite was very well equipped with cooking utensils, drying rack for clothes, blankets, dishes etc. It was quiet and comfortable. It was good value. Convenient to supermarket.
Friendly staff, easy access, perfect location and nice, spacious room with kitchenette - in my opinion the perfect choice for exploring Aix-en-Provence
Got in after reception closed and had to have taxi driver call for instructions on how to get in room.
Idea of having our own kitchen facilities and its location Although I booked well in advance and requested both - the lack of a double bed and no smoking apartment on our arrival. The lack of any housekeeping for a 6 night stay when you get daily service for less than 3 night stay. having to empty our own bins.
Very well located, close to the city center and all the shopping and restaurants. Has its own parking lot so you don't have to worry about not having any place to park. The hotel staff was nice enough to help us make a few calls for restaurant reservations. The room is quite sizable for Europe's standards. The room was okay clean and average, don't expect too much. There's only one elevator and so it's super slow and it smells bad.
Great location, good for a weekend visit to Aix en Provence, or longer. Cooking facilities in the room were excellent, as was the manner of the staff of the reception desk. The corridors of the hotel are in desperate need of refurbishment.
Excellent in every way. On arrival receptionist was wonderful - happy and helpful. Very comfortable hotel and in such a great location - couldnt be better. We stayed on for a fourth night because we liked it so much We honestly couldnt find any bad points. However, we think your website does not do justice to your hotel. It was because of guest reviews that made us decide to book the hotel
It's located center of the vill and close to bus stop of T.G.V.,,,but calm. When I reserved this hotel , I noticed that there is under renovation. Because you said so. First night It's old room, we were not comfortable. So, next day I asked so. They changed to new one. We are very appreciate .
Great location and good sized room overlooking the amphitheatre. We decided to change the room, which the staff were very accomodating in doing so. Good breakfast and hotel facilities.
Perfect location for us: close to the thermal spa, not far from the Cours Mirabeau and tourist office, delicious restaurant 5 minutes away (Le Petit Verdot). Friendly and helpful front desk staff.
location and large room entrance to hotel - stairs are very tired and stained
Nice and clean, reasonable value for money. only stayed one night and no complaints, it was perhaps a little noisy in our room next to the street, but it really wasn't that bad
Very friendly staff and the central location. 1) No single hook in the bathroom. 2) We got exactly the same breakfast during the 5 days of our stay which was served on a tray (no buffet). 3) No lift. 4) No single English TV channel (minor disadvantage)
Location Poor sound insulation
Room was to a very high standard, very centrally located and although on a busy road, the two windows with double glazing kept the sound out. Some of the staff were a bit rude but all staff provided the service they are meant to.
The hotel staff was particularly very nice and the location is great.
Excellent location, V. short walk to the Cours Mirabeau and the main sights. Friendly receptionist, and nice big rooms for the price. Decent value for money. Nothing to major, if being picky the bathroom could have done with a shower curtain.
the room size it was a little cold
Very nice hotel. Good Restaurant. Spacious room and bathroom.
The garden The room was tiny and the bed was small and old. A bit overpriced for what it is.
The location , confort and hospitality
The facility and the grounds were great. Staff was helpful and accomodating. Everything was good.
Beautiful hotel and grounds. The staff were excellent and very helpful. The breakfast is very expensive, as is the restaurant if you decide to eat in the hotel.
Quiet hotel but close to town centre, very comfortable with beautiful garden
The hotel staff is trully excellent, very knid and readu to help at all times. The hotel is plainly beautiful, with amazing gardens and a nice swimming pool! Moreover, we can very strongly recommend the restaurant, probably the best food we ever had.
