Pros: This was a fantastic hostel with a wonderfully friendly host! Very comfortable beds and very clean kitchen. Kalle, the host, is very hands on and makes sure that you have everything you need. Highly recommend this place, which in actuality is NOT a hostel in the true sense but a cut or two above that...no bunk beds...all single beds according to your needs.
Pros: Kalle was the best host possible! Very kind, explained everything and was always available when needed. Highly recommended!
Pros: Very nice staff and clean nice rooms.
Cons: Bad soundproof. Couldn’t sleep because a guest in the room next to us was snoring a lot. Don’t forget earplugs.
Pros: Clean, comfortable, spacious, well equipped. A very warm welcome from Kalle and his friend who gave us great ideas for things to do in the area after the arctic swim. Great to have flexibility in cooking/ catering as very little nearby and shop closed for most of weekend. Amazing sunset/ sunrises- very close together! Enjoyed the walk to the Geodetic survey post at Svanstein ski and fabulous Utblick restaurant. Thankyou
Cons: A washbasin in the bedrooms or even in the bathroom area outside the toilets, even just with cold water would be good.
Pros: Kalle met us, was so friendly and helpful and obviously loved his village which added to the positive feeling. A very nice spot to stay.
Cons: Nothing we didn’t like and the mosquitoes enjoyed us a lot

Pros: Friendly staff. Decent, clean room. Decent breakfast (unless you're vegan). Wi-fi.
Cons: UNBEARABLE, non-stop noise from a generator or some other machinery they use for the rest stop/gas station/diner downstairs. Perhaps I should have asked to switch rooms, but as they have only eight, I figured there's no use. Had it not been for the ear plugs I always carry on the road, I would not have been able to sleep at all.
Pros: Roomy and clean rooms. Basic facilities, but good value for money. Breakfast was good and served early.
Cons: Service was fast but not very friendly, reception is at local petrol station, so staff is rather busy.
Pros: 10m² room and it was spacious enough for 2 people and 3 dogs (2 lapphunds, 1 collie). It was clean and comfortable. Breakfast was delicious. Staff was nice.
Pros: On the highway in Pello. Value for money. Rooms large enough for four adults. Good facilities for kitchen. Nice bathroom. Grocery stores and petrol bunks nearby.
Cons: Towels were very hard by continuous washing. No other complaints
Pros: Gaz station on premise, grocery store across the street, next to main road going north & south Breakfast and linen included in the price
Cons: The room was extremely uncomfortable hot making it impossible to have a good nights rest The keysystem to open doors is very unhandy and difficult
Pros: Breakfast included in the room price. Also towels and bedlinen which is almost "unusual" in Finland. Excellent value for money
Pros: All was great, no need to think twice to take this accommodation. The farm is little bit stranded but that’s all we wanted for our Christmas Eve. The owners are very kind and nice people and we were glad that we picked this house. Hopefully we will go again in the future.
Cons: We had to leave. Everything else was great.
With a stay at Hotelli Pellonhovi, you'll be centrally located in Pello, 22.4 mi (36.1 km) from Arctic Circle and 32.2 mi (51.9 km) from Church of Overtornea. Featured amenities include complimentary newspapers in the lobby and luggage storage. Free self parking is available onsite.
Pros: Good breakfast. Friendly service.
Cons: Bed was not comfy and pillow too hard.
Pros: The coffee and the tea selection
Cons: It was like you’d imagine something leftover from the soviet era. Run down, shoddy, view of a concrete backyard with a cable hitting the window in the wind. Tiny TV on the wall. Uncomfortable bed. A strange smell in the whole hotel. The poorest breakfast buffet I’ve ever seen; nothing tasted nice. The cooked breakfast was of very poor selection and was over cooked. There was two types of cereal and a bowl of yoghurt you could ladle from next to a jar of herrings. There was no butter for the bread, tho one day there was some margarine. No staff in the dining room. There was a loud disco going on till 2 am on the Friday making it impossible to sleep. Also it wasn’t soundproof at all, you could hear ppl snoring in adjoining rooms. It’s one of the two worst hotels I’ve ever stayed in, but the other one was half the price of Pellonhovi, making Pellonhovi the worst value for money hotel I’ve ever set foot in.
Pros: Simple but functional hotel. Clean rooms, comfortable beds, friendly staff.
Cons: Rooms could be better equipped with places to hang clothes. Especially in the middle of the winter with small kids it would have been nice to be able to hang all winter clothes to dry after an excursion outside.
Pros: good food
Pros: good Breakfast
Cons: had to order pizza as resturant was not open
