The only positive thing was the location. It's nearby the highway so you get there quite fast. But after I got there I couldn't wait to get away just as fast. The bathroom was horrible. It smelled and it was also very small. I only used it once and I don't thing you could even stay inside too long -- I certainly didn't even thing about doing a shower. The room also looked rather beat-down and the TV, which I never even opened, was also old. One word for the hotel would be seedy.
Perfect location for one night stay, we were travelling and just wanted a place close to the highway. Good value for money.
Value for money.
Convenient location - right on the highway to Vienna, 15km from Budapest.Fast check-in and check-out.Well-heated. Uncomfortable way of bedding, sink not in the bathroom but in the room.
fast internet, A\C hotel marked as 3star on booking is 2star on the hotel, but i would say more close to 1star. May be good just for overnight sleeping
connectivity with city
It is very cheap, very confortable, close to the motorway. Offers a good ratio quality versus price
It is located very close to the highway so for a transit hotel is very good. The staff is helpful although not everybody spoke English. The bathroom could be cleaner; there was a funky smell of public toilet.
This is in all respects an etap hotel which was sold off. The features remain intact with excellent shower and spacious room. Ample free and safe parking. Well placed on m1 motorway with m7 and m0 very close. Price on booking less than half that of the old Etap. No catering facilities other than a poor value breakfast buffet, and machines with coffee etc, drinks and snacks. Travel to city by bus takes about 50 minutes with one change required.
The only good point about this hotel is very friendly recepcionist and that is it Smelly bathroom, toilet, charged 5 Euro for breakfast and got 1 cream cheese,1 liver pate,1 jam,1 butter and 1 kind of bread(you like it or not)
Food good, staff very helpful, Martin is a top manager. I like a firm bed, yours was firm but a little uncomfortable. I don't know what was going on with the room heating airconditioning, I woke up at one stage and both my eyes had dried out so much I had to put drops in them, I then turned off the fan...otherwise everything else was excellent. I would have liked a no smoking area in the lounge like there is in the restuarant.
I was feeling very confortable in this hotel and all the staff is polite including the restaurant .
All staff and facilities were excellent. Restaurant/bar excellent. Room clean and well appointed. Recommend.
Staff Not very clean
room ambiance, breakfast, people attitude, clean location, non-smoking rules. Good experience, value for money. no!
It is close to the motorway but not that close to hear the noise. It has a good parking, big rooms and good breakfast. Four stars is just right. The wifi in the room is payable and very expensive. In the hotel lobby there is no wifi at all. For a four star hotel the wifi should be free. The restaurant takes the last order at 22:00 (I arrived at 22:10...).
Clean and comfortable hotel.Good for transit tourisrs
Close to the M1 Too basic - for the same money you can find much more comfortable hotels closer to Budapest.
We stopped at this hotel two times and in my opinion Gastland is one of the best choices if you are in transit. Easy access from the highway, large and free of charge parking lot, friendly staff, spacious and clean rooms, large bathroom (if you are lucky to have a room with a bathtub then it will be more than you can hope – there is a very nice corner bathtub), hot water all the time, clean bed linen, fast internet, silence and good breakfast. The hotel has a very nice courtyard where you can relax or dinner if you want. Quality / price ratio is excellent. The only thing I could mention as negative is the smell of food which can be felt in the lounge, probably due to the inefficient ventilation from the kitchen.
the location is perfect have to pitstop the blankets were old and not looking good
Very convenient location on M1 Highway, perfect for an overnight stop, very clean and nice room, good breakfast. A nice restaurant is available in the complex. Not very noisy as expected for a highway location.
Excellent Hotel for a one-night-stay, might even consider staying there longer. Next to the highway, but no noise, free wifi, good room, friendly staff, internet connection sometimes lost.
Very convenient for a transit person!
Value of money No
The location of the Hotel, the outdoors grill restaurant. My room, next to the reception, was very, very noisy. The breakfast buffet was rather filthy. Sugar was standing in open plates on the tables, and full of flies sitting on it...
The place is very comfortable for long distance travelling - it's practically on the road. Very friendly staff and good food in the restaurant. For foreigners it's very important that the card-terminals for credit cards are permanently functioning. It was not the case in the restaurant.
The garden and outside restaurant.
Bedroom ok At the time of booking, the web site did not indicate that the restaurant would be closed and the one staff person in the hotel did not speak English. I was unable to ascertain where the indoor swimming pool was and if it was useable. The breakfast was not good. We seemed to be the only people staying in the hotel.
I liked the location of this hotel, i.e. close enough to the highway and to local village centre. I would like to have the way to hotel marked a little bit better.
The hotel location is good and the staff is wonderful and very helpful, breakfast was simple basic but clean and fresh. I recommend renting a bicycle and just bike your way around town. I didn't swim in the lake because of Aruba swimming water standards. No A/C in the rooms and in this part of the summer it gets very hot around these areas. Also no elevators so luckily I had a second floor room and a medium baggage =)
