Family-friendly hotel which has plenty of activities for children as well as adults (swimming pool, water slide, sauna, spa). Perfect location for easy access to outdoor activities in Åre. Not particularly cheap if you're a family wanting to make repeated use of the on-site facilities.
Convenient, located where the convention was.
Luxury, and exelent location
Nothing. We booked for three nights but left just after one... In a nutshell: this is not a four-star hotel. The rooms are big but basic. If you don't pay additional fees, you will have an hugly view on the railway station... Breakfast is just like in a canteen. You even have to queue.
The scenery surrounding the hotel is beautiful. The rooms are spacious and there are lots of things to do at the hotel. N/a
The Pool area
I liked the facilities, in particular the sauna world which was a great experience. The location is also great. The beds were not that good, to hard and the cleaning was not state of the art.
We are Swedish people in Sweden. Why is this formular and the booking system in english? We don´t understand everything in english.
The location with a beautiful view and the old style of the building. The travel road and the hair-pin curves was not the best for driving a motorcycle on.
Location of the hotel for skiing is excellent, the best located hotel in åre-ski area. Storage-availibility for skis are very bad at Fjallgarden, total mess in the skiroom.
Staff was excellent!
The nice calm inviroment at the hotel The breakfast could have been bether.
Good location near train station, town square and ski lifts. It really needs a better sign! I was looking for a Hotel Diplomat sign whereas its branded Hotel Åregården with Diplomat in really small letters. Took me ages to find it - especially when I asked locals on two separate occasions and they send me in the totally wrong direction to another hotel under the same ownership - clearly they don't even know which is which! For future visitors it is literally on the town square opposite a bank.
