With a stay at The Datai Langkawi in Langkawi, you'll be within a 5-minute drive of Datai Bay and Datai Golf Club. Featured amenities include a business center, complimentary newspapers in the lobby, and dry cleaning/laundry services. Event facilities at this resort consist of a conference center and a meeting room. Guests may use a roundtrip airport shuttle for a surcharge, and free valet parking is available onsite.
Pros: Set in stunning nature - both beach and rainforest is absolutely gorgeous
Cons: No kids club
Pros: great atmosphere, friendly and helpful staff a great experience on one of the few remaining wooden malaysian sailing boats (if not the last one!) good variety of restaurants We will certainly come back to enjoy this spot again!
Cons: I was rather disappointed that some guests "reserved" loungers at the beach in a 'random" way without using them for several hours, hence limiting the options for a family of 4 like us to find loungers near each other. However the staff was very helpful helping us out!
Pros: We spent a three day / four night long weekend at the Datai in October. It was wonderful. We traveled with two young children who were warmly welcomed. There is an adults pool but I did not think we were missing much. The beach bar area is pleasant although the pool with bigger kids is pretty raucous. There is a toddler pool in the shade. The beach is excellent with lovely warm water and very nice outlook. Probably the best we’ve experienced in SE Asia. The resort itself is hidden in the rainforest. This is very cleverly done. It also means there is abundant opportunity for spotting wildlife. Special mention to Shakira for taking my family and I on a guided walk through the rain forest. So much to see. One another note, my 5 yo Daughter has Celiac Disease so must eat gluten free. There is plenty of choice with gluten free pizza and pastas as well as gluten free local dishes. This makes a big difference.
Cons: I got eaten alive by sand flies. They must like my blood as my Wife and children were fine.
Pros: Everything! It is just excellent. The hotel, location, staff, food. The staff are so helpful ...other hotels should replicate their recruitment and training process. Our second stay this year and it was even better second time. Definitely recommended for a chilled and relaxing time ....we will go again
Cons: Nothing - this stay was during a public holiday and was busy ...well I say busy but it didn’t feel like it and they coped well. Would , however, recommend booking the evening dinners at the various restaurants early
Located in Langkawi, The Danna Langkawi is by the sea, just a 4-minute walk from Pantai Kok Beach and a 2-minute drive from Seven Wells Waterfall. Featured amenities include a business center, limo/town car service, and express check-in. Planning an event in Langkawi? This resort features 1593 square feet (148 square meters) of event facilities. A roundtrip airport shuttle is complimentary (available 24 hours).
Pros: The staff is incredible. Smiling, polite, social, respectful and always here to help you. The hotel is beautiful, and the pool !!! Amazing !
Cons: Nothing, everything was great
Pros: Excellent hotel, staff extremely friendly and helpful.
Pros: - friendly service from staff - complimentary airport transfer - classy colonial style building - beautiful pool & private beach - kid’s club is big & many toys available. My children really enjoyed them - a lot of Grab cars available Lovely hotel & ambience. Definitely a must stay when visiting Langkawi
Cons: - not many shops around the hotel area (ie food mart)
Pros: Excellent, friendly staff, lovely pool, room and breakfast, perfect
Pros: Amazing colonial style hotel with huge pool area and lovely courtyard. Every corner of the hotel is beautifully decorated with plants and running water everywhere. The staff is so friendly, you almost feel like home. All the little attention, starting from the neck massage at check in and ending with the pralines at checkout, makes the holiday unforgettable! Breakfast leaves nothing to be desired, from Chinese over Indian to intercontinental you will get everyhing you dreamed of. The two restaurants and the coffee shop serve perfect food. One of the best Italian restaurants I have ever been to!
Cons: Poor WiFi. The rest was perfect!
Pros: Probably one of the best hotel experiences I've made so far. The staff was extremely friendly, facilities modern and luxurious, clean and quite beach, tasty breakfast...thank you! They made us feel home from the minute we entered the hotel, awesome! We will come back next year!

Cons: Everything ok
Pros: The location of the hotel is good which situated on a private beach. The facilities are great and the hotel staff are friendly and helpful.
Cons: Some of the equipment in room are not very in perfect condition because during my stay, the bose bluetooth radio are not functioning well.
Pros: We liked the elegance of the room and the beautifully secluded surrounding. It really was very quiet and it was often possible to feel almost as if we were there on our own. For a really peaceful and relaxing experience it was excellent. Langkawi is a truly gorgeous island and this was a great part of it to visit (we have been several times before). The staff were extremely attentive and good natured.
Cons: Really, parts of the facility and the choice of operational style made us feel that our experience could have been so much better. The biggest feedback I would give to the property is that the decision to stop serving dinner on the beach (apparently taken by a new General Manager last year) was a TERRIBLE decision. The beach is beautiful, the setting is wonderful but the Happy Hour is a ridiculously early 4.00 to 5.00 pm and the whole beach bar is shuttered and closed with tables covered by 6.45. What a huge misunderstanding of what holiday makers want! A Happy Hour from 5.00 to 6.30 would give the chance that many holiday makers want - to sit on the beach with a sundowner and enjoy the sunset and the stunning scenery. With the private beach effectively shut by 6.45, there are only two choices to eat - an exclusive, must book 24 hours ahead end of the pier restaurant, or the same venue as the breakfast venue - which is lovely for breakfast but cavernous and without atmosphere for dinner. There are no other restaurants within walking distance so the choices were really disappointing - when we would have happily eaten informally on the beach every evening (and probably spent a lot more money in the process!) - it is such a gorgeous spot. Generally speaking, at 5 star plus prices, the details that you'd expect from a really top hotel weren't in place. The telephones rang unanswered (Concierge/ Room Service), there was no town shuttle, there were even off putting additional charges for simple things like the kayaks on the beach. Menus are OK without being spectacular - breakfast definitely the best experience of the day. The kindness of the staff filled in for what I think is a lack of customer understanding from the management. The experience was still great for us, we love Langkawi, I rarely give feedback like this - but it could have been so much better and in hotels at this end of the market (we stay in a lot of them), details make the difference.
Cons: They suppose to have a nice beach as the pictures when we booked it when I get there I got angry because of the view which I spent a lot of money to have it . It was so disappointed
Pros: Everything was perfect. Beach was very clean and comfortable
Cons: If i were them , i will serve middle eastern food in the resort restaurant
Pros: Fantastic service, great amenities
Pros: The reception was awesome! We were well attended to and had no cause for complaints. Butler service was also awesome.
When you stay at Four Seasons Resort Langkawi in Langkawi, you'll be in a national park, within a 15-minute drive of Tanjung Rhu Beach and Langkawi Wildlife Park. Featured amenities include wired Internet access (surcharge), a business center, and limo/town car service. Planning an event in Langkawi? This resort features 2150 square feet (200 square meters) of event facilities. Free valet parking is available onsite.
Pros: Four Seasons Langkawi deserves all 5 stars on account of the amazing, hospitable and exceptionally friendly staff. Suyesh and Emelia in the restaurants know their menus back to front and inside out and can recommend some superb dishes if you're willing to put your fate in their hands, I'd strongly recommend you do - we were never failed by their suggestions and thanks to both of them for broadening our horizons with some FS Langkawi signature dishes. Arvind, Front Desk Manager, is a most charming and engaged member of the team and was great with recommendations of local attractions and tours to take during our stay. The beach offers the whitest sand with beautiful tall and picturesque palm trees sprinkled along the coast line giving even the most amateur of photographers an opportunity to capture some idyllic snapshots of their vacation. Compliments to all those in F&B - the restaurants are exceptional, as are the mixologists in Rhu bar. Let the staff guide you through the menu in Ikan Ikan or opt for a reliable favourite in Upper Serai - the chefs will be sure to please the most discerning foodie! I encourage anyone staying to take part in the inhouse dining events such as the beach grills, lobster evenings (you get to meet the local fisherman which is a treat) and Malay night. The 'jewel in the crown' was undoubtedly the Mangroves Tour and our guide Anduur was the most charismatic and entertaining host for the morning. He expertly guided us around the mangroves, ensuring we saw some amazing wildlife at home in their natural habitat and provided us with a heartfelt and insightful experience at sea.
Cons: The property is old and it knows it. If you want a new, modern resort this is not it. Stays at more modern additions to the FS brand may leave you surprised that this property is still making the grade but the staff and service levels make up for an otherwise tired property.
Pros: Everything was perfect thanks to all staff they make our journey amazing
Cons: Nothing at all
Pros: Best place to relax and enjoy a break.
Pros: Location was amazing
Pros: I really enjoyed staying at this resort, it was amazing. The staff were very caring and everything was taken care off with great detail. The breakfast was very nice and cultural as well.
Cons: Considering there are not many things nearby a few more eating options would be nice.
Pros: Lovely as first time I came here. Exceptional place, professional staff. I would to thank Aerul for the wonderful experience at the resort.
Cons: That I had to leave.
With a stay at Ambong Ambong in Langkawi, you'll be near the beach, a 3-minute walk from Tengah Beach and a 3-minute drive from Pantai Cenang Beach. Featured amenities include dry cleaning/laundry services, a 24-hour front desk, and luggage storage. Free self parking is available onsite.
Pros: Nice and calm location
Cons: Very poor WiFi in the room almost no WiFi..!!!
Cons: Nothing, everything was just great.
Pros: I loved the fact that I was living inside the rainforest :) Comfy room with nice views. I loved the fact that the stuff came to set my room for night mode ;)
Cons: I just felt that for the price I paid, I could have had picked another resort. For one night it felt overpriced
Pros: My wife and I were going there for a long weekend getaway and I wasn't sure what to expect from this location. I booked it because I saw it was in the trees and a little bit more secluded. The place was lovely, but more importantly the staff were the best! Between Lee meeting us when we got there right through to Shami taking care of us at the end, everybody was great! The place was pretty close to town (it's a quick 10 min ride - one of the staff does drop-off/pickup) but far enough away that we could enjoy peace and quiet when we wanted it.
Cons: If you're looking for a beach-front property, this is not the place for you (although there's a beach about 5 min walk away)
Pros: Loved the accomodation - modern, clean, comfortable and the jungle atmosphere was lovely. We loved seeing monkeys in the trees near our room. Staff very helpful. Beautiful views too.
Pros: The whole experience was fantastic, the staff couldn’t do enough to help and everything was above expectations . Such a beautiful location and the rooms were great .
Cons: Couldn’t fault the staff, location or the rooms. Thank you ! The pool is fairly shaded and small but irrelevant as the beach is over the road !
Pros: Staff: I like the staffs at the property so much as they are so helpful and friendly. Very attentive and goes beyond my expectation. Environment: Serene and quiet environment surrounded by greens. Breakfast : Was good on the first day we had it at the Rimba cafe crossed the road at Pool Villa but not on the second day back to rain forest cafe, no fresh juices served but all chilled.
Cons: We found that the the room is not worth the price we paid for, the amenities in room should be according to the money we paid. Hot water supply is good for the first person to shower there was no hot water supply subsequently for the second and third person and so on. Hotel amenities such as toothbrushes and toothpaste was not available upon checkin and we have to request for it and found out that the housekeeping staff forgot to place it in room. The breakfast selection at Rainforest cafe need further enhancement.
Pros: The monkeys coming around the balcony regularly. The friendly staff. The rooms.
Cons: Was expensive for langkawi.
Pros: The staff is amazing and goes beyond and further to make your stay as comfortable as possible. Very friendly and goodhearted people. The rooms are wonderful, cozy and very clean. Because we had to leave early in the morning for our departure the staff made sure breakfast was already in our fridge the night before.
Cons: Nothing to complain!
Pros: A gorgeous boutique villa set amongst the hillside in lush rainforest... We watched monkeys swinging through the trees from our balcony and a view of the ocean. The windows opened up wide from the huge double shower in the luxurious bathroom and you could almost reach out and touch the tress! The staff were so friendly and made you feel truly welcome. All staff were always smiling and happy! We enjoyed a beautiful dinner at Rimba restaurant on the last night over at their sister resort across the road. The staff invited us back the following day for breakfast! Could not have asked for a better place to stay in Langkawi for our honeymoon. Highly recommend! Thank you so much to staff and management for a memorable stay! Jen and Steve CAHILL :)
When you stay at Casa del Mar, Langkawi in Langkawi, you'll be on the beach, just steps from Pantai Cenang Beach and 10 minutes by foot from Cenang Mall. Featured amenities include limo/town car service, complimentary newspapers in the lobby, and dry cleaning/laundry services. Free self parking is available onsite.
Pros: WE had a fabulous time staff were so friendly and could not do enough for us . We would go back tomorrow !!
Pros: Location, rooms and staff friendliness
Pros: I have travelled to Langkawi a number of times over the years and this is the first time I have stayed in Casa Del Mar. The hotel was comfortable and location excellent. What really made the stay special was the staff - the friendliest hotel staff of any hotel I have stayed at in Langkawi and this included everyone from the reservations; restaurant to the gardening staff. It made the stay feel like home and I would definitely stay here again.
Pros: Brilliant location on the beach
Cons: Shower a little small
Pros: Staff very friendly and helpfull Breakfast excellent. Quality and quantity. Bed very comfortable.
Cons: Nothing.Everything was awasome. However, there is room for improvement. Mosquito netting for beds would be appreciated
Pros: It’s friendly atmosphere and attention to detail by the superb staff.
Cons: Lack of lighting on the beachfront for evening dining.
Pros: Wonderful staff, perfect location, stunning food - we will be back there for sure. Staff cant do enough for you. This really is a place to visit.
Pros: Everything was wonderful
Located in Langkawi, Bambu Getaway is in a national park, within a 15-minute drive of Langkawi Beach and Pantai Cenang Beach. Featured amenities include a computer station, multilingual staff, and laundry facilities. Free self parking is available onsite.
Pros: Unique and fantastic place to stay in Langkawi. Quiet and off the beaten track yet central enough to all the main tourist sites if you are able to drive or ride a motorbike. Lovely spacious huts with clean comfortable beds, air-conditioning and a patio. There's even a gym, punchbags, Muay Thai gear and a ring for those who need to work out whilst on holiday...Pretty view at the edge of the homestay as there's a huge paddy field where you can catch the sunset everyday. There are good food options nearby (Pia's the Padi) and the main restaurants in Pantai Cenang are only 20-25 minutes away by car. Various other tourist attractions and beaches are 10-15 minutes away by car. Kamil was a fantastic and hospitable host. He was easily accessible via Whatsapp and always ensured that our requests and questions were attended to without difficulty. He made sure our stay was comfortable and provided helpful tips on places to eat and visit around the island. He can sort out car rentals for you for a cheaper price. He even drove us to the marina himself really early in the morning when our taxi didn't arrive on time so that we didn't miss our ferry to Koh Lipe. We couldn't have asked for more and we are still very grateful for this. Breakfast was great with different options and could be served to you on your own patio if you wish. Generally helpful and friendly staff.
Pros: The bamboo garden concept is splendid. Wake up early morning and watch beautiful garden and the paddy rice field. Love it. Will recommend my family and friend to try the house concept
Pros: very nice place. good gym, room, view, atmosphere, and host was kind. You can rent a motorcycle here, so you don't have to worry about access to the beach or shops.
Pros: The serenity, away from people and quiet place.
Pros: The scenery, View, The open minded staff and host. The cleanliness and The resort. very peacefully and suitable for family trip and gathering.
Cons: we facing some electrical problem in our room, but they solve the problem imediatly.
Set in a tranquil private bay on expansive grounds overgrown with a 10 million years old rainforest, with a pristine beach that overlooks the turquoise waters of The Andaman Sea - The Ritz-Carlton Langkawi enjoys a setting so unique, you have to experience it first-hand to truly grasp the incredibly diverse beauty of the place!Built in harmony with the surrounding nature, and designed in a contemporary style with intricate details inspired by local architecture and indigenous art, the resort’s residences provide a complete privacy while delighting with an airy, sophisticated ambiance and spectacular vistas that lend each suite and villa their very own character. Enveloped by dense jungle, the futuristic three-story glass towers and the rainforest villas with floor-to-ceiling windows allow you to observe wildlife from a distance you never thought possible. And the lavish beach and overwater villas will take your breath away with panoramic ocean views and magnificent sunsets.
Pros: Staff, Hotel Rooms, Food....etc
Cons: It is less private
Pros: The place is magical. We had a wonderful stay. Thank you.
Cons: Couldn't think of any.
Pros: Very clean and friendly staff. This is a definition of a five star hotel. Loved every minute of it! Made our anniversary that extra bit special
Pros: The cleaniness, the ambiance, the staffs & breakfast buffet
Pros: It was just perfect
Pros: Wonderful location, peaceful and immersed into nature.
Cons: The staff is very nice and friendly but poorly trained. They forget a lot of your requests and you need to ask over and over again. Our villa was very nice but bathroom not properly cleaned upon arrival, a leak in the middle of the room and the 4th bed was extremely uncomfortable and cheap. I was expecting much more attention to details given the price paid.
9.2 Excellent (214 reviews)
Located in Langkawi, OYO 44124 De Langkawi Resort And Convention Centre is in a rural location, within a 5-minute drive of Hot Springs Village and Galeria Perdana. Featured amenities include express check-in, express check-out, and a 24-hour front desk. Guests may use a roundtrip airport shuttle for a surcharge, and free self parking is available onsite.
Pros: Awesome place to stay away from crowded Cenang. You are just in the middle of small local village, but all beautiful island places are still very close if you have a car or a scooter. The staff is very nice, room is spotlessly clean with everyday cleaning (thank you so much for this). I would love to stay here again and can totally recommend the resort
Cons: Nothing at all
Pros: Staff were very friendly and helpful. Room was clean, bed was comfy, shower and AC both worked great. Can hire scooters, short drive to beautiful less busy/touristy beach on the north of the island and waterfall.
Pros: Actually booking it for my boss & she said it 4⭐!!! I'm grateful!!! Tq!!!
Pros: Everything! Super clean room, very comfortable bed and pillows. Brilliant shower! Close to the best beach Tanjung Rhu. Very good local places to eat within walking distance.
Cons: A bike or car is needed to get around. Luckily we hired our scooter from here!
Pros: Great location away from all tourist's and fairly close to the tajnung rhu beach. Staff is extremely nice. They clean your room everyday along with nice scent.
An ancient rainforest cradled between the Mat Chincang Mountains and the beaches of the Andaman Sea is home to The Andaman, a Luxury Collection Resort, Langkawi where centuries-old trees, sparkling limestone outcrops and dense vegetation offer a window into history. Allow our naturalist to take you on a nature walk and introduce you to the abundant wildlife of this environmentally friendly beachfront hotel. Restore and replenish mind and body at V Botanical Spa. Take a dip in the sparkling pool or dine poolside overlooking the rainforest. Extraordinary rooms with airy, contemporary design effortlessly blend splashes of indigenous art and culture, surpassed in beauty only by the breathtaking views of the Andaman Sea or emerald rainforest. Your brilliant adventure awaits at The Andaman, a Luxury Collection Resort, Langkawi.
Pros: - love the tranquility of the resort surrounded with nature and beautiful beach; - my son enjoyed so much the water slide and young explorer club; he has been asking to come back for his bday; - very friendly staff to make the staying even more enjoyable; - as a Marriott member, we got upgraded to a jacuzzi room which was a nice surprise; - room is quite spacious and good for family with kids We absolutely enjoyed our staying at the resort and would come back again.
Pros: The location is quite remote if you are the type of person who likes to go out and about locally. Apart from the Datai hotel next door, there is nothing much here. Car hire is easy however and the roads are good so getting about is ok. The hotel is very nice and the staff incredibly helpful but it is a bit tired in places. Our room had a stale damp smell on a few occassions but I put this down to being in a rainforest! I think it came up through the drains. Breakfast was plentiful and the variety suited every palette. On site restaurants were varied and the same applied to the pricing. Captive market so unless you travel outside the hotel for food, you are stuck somewhat with what is there. The staff are attentive without being overbearing and I would single out Raja (Uvarajah Krishnasamy), Guest Experience Manager in particular. Great customer service with a very personal touch to it, which i very much appreciated.
Cons: As I said previously, it is a bit tired in places and would benefit from some refurbishment to bring it up to what I would call a decent 4 star hotel. Damp smells in some rooms need looking into as it surely cannot be the first time this has been mentioned.
Pros: I like the location, although a little challenging to get to, because it's very secluded and somewhat exclusive - it's like you've got the entire bay to yourself (and the other hotel guests of course!). Staff were very friendly too.
Cons: I feel like the decor needs updating - all the dark wood and cream/brown colour scheme were a tad too dated. I particularly didn't like the fact that they don't have a medical emergency facility or medically trained staff considering where it is located - very remote! Unfortunately my son had an emergency incident upon arriving at the hotel and the best the staff could do was to point to the right direction, which was the hospital 45 minutes away!
Pros: The place is of unimaginable beauty. Service levels can't be beat!
Cons: My only comment... And this is 100% my personal tastes (in no way reflects the hotel at fault). But this hotel is very much out of the way... So when you are there... You are there. I personally love to get out and taste the local flavor... And am less interested in hotel food which 9 times out of 10 is a bit bland. But I want to emphasize this is just my personal tastes!
Pros: Breakfast spread was wonderful. In room dining was so yummy! We were there during Halloween and the hotel gave us all a cupcake made to look like a witch - it was a small gesture but really goes to show how they put attention to detail. The hotel was gorgeous and the private beach was always so clean. Staff were very friendly and the kids playroom was a nice added touch. They have activities for kids above 4 yrs old which is quite cool. Pool is huge - lots of space to chill.
Cons: They placed us on the floor that was having some minor renovations. We were able to bypass by taking a longer route but it wasn’t the easiest as we had a stroller with us. Small stuff compared to how well we were treated.
Pros: The breakfast selection was superb!
With a stay at The Smith House in Langkawi, you'll be a 4-minute drive from Langkawi Beach and 9 minutes from Pantai Cenang Beach. Featured amenities include a business center, a 24-hour front desk, and luggage storage. Free self parking is available onsite.
Pros: Great breakfast, with various food. Very good lunch menu for a good price. Very close to the airport. Very comfortable beds. Nice pool on the roof. Helpful staff.
Cons: They charged my card before arrival without asking me the payment method. The location is close to the airpot, but you need taxi for the beaches or for going anywhere.
Pros: Everything about the stay was excellent! We loved the room decor and were pleasantly surprised that there was a smart TV in the room with free movies included. We also highly recommend the in-room dining beef burger; it was amazing!
Cons: The only downside would be the location. It's around less than 5 minutes to the airport and was not a problem getting around to the main attractions with the use of grab, but there was a lack of nearby shops to explore. The other thing was the RM100 deposit required which was not stated within booking.com fine print.
Pros: Clean and comfy.
Cons: Only one lift to the rooms and no lift to the swimming pool
Pros: Comfy. The pool are really amazing plus there are many shop below the hotel so it was easy for you.
Pros: The location is very close to the airport. The room is well equipped and the design of the room is good and quiet with the window closed.
Cons: The rooms are on the level 2 and it’s quite a bit of walk to my room.
Pros: Nice staff, clean and comfortable

Pros: Amazing staff, beautiful beach
Pros: Breakfast was good.
Cons: No wifi connection in room no 101. Not enough flat bed at the beach. Garden maintenance was so bad not reflecting a 4 star hotel.
Pros: I stayed for 3 nights and the resort exceeded my expectations. The staffs were so kind and very helpful. The room was very clean and the staffs cleaned it 2 times a day. The complementary breakfast had so many options for people from different countries and you can’t complaint anything. The food was so good. The resort also had a private beach access. The swimming pool was good. They also helped with booking tours for the attractions. When I checked out at morning 6 am, they packed and gave the breakfast for me. I am seeing this for the first time and I was completely overwhelmed. Overall I am completely satisfied with the resort and I will definitely recommend it for everyone..!!!
Cons: Free pickup and drop for the airport is not available and I felt like for the amount I paid, they should have included it. The fair for taxi is not high though. It is RM 25.
Pros: Breakfast like
Cons: The room concept dont like
Pros: I like the pool, not much people together used it
Cons: Need to improve breakfast menu
Pros: Lovely, quite new resort. We were very happy we chose to stay here. All the staff were friendly and helpful - I know the staff read these reviews and pay attention to them, so thank you to each and every one involved in taking care of this lovely resort. We loved: the welcome drinks and welcome cake delivered to the room, the fabulous 70m long pool and swim up bar, the beautiful beach front, the ice cream bar at the beach, the lovely views from the restaurant and that we could eat right by the beach, the great value cocktails, complimentary minibar and the super comfy beds. We booked a trip with the tour desk to go island hopping which was fun and also had a massage at the spa - very relaxing. There was a great choice of buffet and al la carte breakfast and in the evening the food was tasty and good value. Easy walk to shops and restaurants. We had such a lovely relaxing stay here and would happily return if we are lucky enough to come back to Langkawi!
Cons: As other reviewers have mentioned, there is noisy construction work going on at the next door property. We were aware that this would be happening so it did not spoil our stay - this is clearly not under the control of the hotel and it won't go on for ever!

Pros: - Value for money - Location was slightly offgrid but near to ferry terminal. - Staffs were friendly especially conceige who help parked my vehicle during downpour and pass the car key to my room -Brilliant Customer Service
Pros: Staff and comfortable beds
Cons: Coffee wasn’t so great Utensils smell during breakfast Waffle and pan cakes not up to standard
Pros: All was excellent, the staff were so amazing love them all.
Pros: The beach front view is really nice, not too crowded place and the property is quite big with a lot of things to do inside. Can visit the nearby St. Regis Hotel which is more modern but the view in Westin area is nicer...
Cons: Costly and I paid extra MYR aside from the price posted in booking.com as they explained that booking.com forgot to add some charges. The small cottage (for private dining) in the beach area which is one of the highlights of the hotel looks old inside and requires renovation
Pros: Good breakfast spread
Pros: Good room, lovely pools and a smashing position, close to the port but facing away from all of the town. We did not sample the food but loved the don't open the windows due to monkeys signs. The monkeys seemed pretty friendly.
Cons: Cost for a taxi to airport was RM80 if ordered through hotel yet we paid just RM30 from 300m down the road. Charging more than double than the drivers get paid does not sit right with us and gave the impression that the hotel was money grabbing. Something for the management to think about.
When you stay at Villa Molek in Langkawi, you'll be on the boardwalk, within a 10-minute walk of Pantai Cenang Beach and Underwater World. Featured amenities include dry cleaning/laundry services, multilingual staff, and luggage storage. A roundtrip airport shuttle is provided for a surcharge (available 24 hours), and free self parking is available onsite.
Pros: Chilled environment. Personal touches. Friendly owners and staff
Cons: Nothing really.
Pros: Everything was perfect!!!! Thanks!!!!
Pros: Staff were excellent. Breakfasts delicious. Apartments spacious with attention to detail. Peaceful ambience. Ten minute walk into main town area for Pantai Cenang.
Pros: Had wonderful stay at Villa Molek. It was cozy, private and the attention to detail was great. The owners and staff were so friendly and helpful. Location was great, close enough to Cenang without having to be in the middle of the noise. The beach was close by and it was beautiful.
Pros: We loved these villas. Quiet and yet close to wonderful restaurants and the beach. Extremely clean rooms and friendly staff. A hearty breakfast kept us going most of the day and caters for all tastes. Nasi Lemak for him, smoked salmon omelet for me. Delicious.
Cons: Bed linen could use updating but was always clean and comfortable.
Pros: Comfortable beds, spacious apartment. Very helpful reception staff. Good breakfast. Amenities such as beach towels and beach mats were very helpful. Complimentary snacks
Pros: The staff were friendly and very helpful. Rooms are clean and cozy.
Cons: I think it's overpriced. Breakfast was mediocre. For this price you can book a chalet that's so much better.
Pros: Good wifi. Fridge freezer. Location to quieter beach and more up-market restaurants. Cafè Lattè were lovely. Breakfast was good, bread was lovely.
Cons: Being charged when booking out for our joint 50th birthday celebratory cake! Not particularly friendly staff. Confused interior design of the apartment amplified by the mis-array of bed pillows. TV of little use as no western channels apart from a news channel.
When you stay at Motel Aurora Damai in Langkawi, you'll be on the boardwalk, a 4-minute drive from Tengah Beach and 9 minutes from Pantai Cenang Beach. Featured amenities include express check-out and coffee/tea in a common area. Free self parking is available onsite.
Pros: + spacious room + facilities are great, everything that you would need + staff are nice + the location is perfect, not on touristic area (cenang beach) but not too far from it either + there is onsite restaurant that serves amazing local food we originally booked for just 2 nights, but then extended for another 2
Cons: - the only thing that i can think of is just the receptionist is not 24hrs. we don't really need them to be honest though.. for a footnote, we booked a mangrove tour through the hotel, it was good and on a good price too. it's just that we only had 1 tour guide for 3 boats (about 25 people). it could have been better if we had more guides. NOT the hotel's fault though.
Pros: This place is so nice, im sure to come back to stay here again! Thank you for the hospitality
Cons: Nothing, all is good
Pros: I loved the compound and facilities.
Pros: Spacious room with all necessary equipment. The employee was really friendly and helpful with all our questions. Location is about 15 min from the beach, but that was no problem. Great bargain
Pros: Very clean and spacious room. Good bathroom with warm water. Fridge. Very nice and helpfull staff.
Cons: Quite busy street nearby. No breakfast available. You need to rent a scooter or car. Be prepared to hear regular praying from the mosque. It didn't bother us but might wake you up quite early.

Featured amenities include a business center, complimentary newspapers in the lobby, and dry cleaning/laundry services. A roundtrip airport shuttle is provided for a surcharge (available on request), and free self parking is available onsite.
Pros: Rooms were large and comfortable. Great view from the sea view room. Lots of green and space around the hotel grounds. Very relaxing, with a large, virtually deserted beach. Right on the edge of the strip with bars and restaurants, but far enough away not to notice.
Cons: The tennis courts were in a bad state of repair. The Western buffet breakfast was very simple, bog standard. Nothing special. Seafood buffet on the weekend left a lot to be desired.
Pros: Right on the beach with fabulous views. Large pools. Rooms spacious and modern but in lovely Malay style. Resort set out like a Malay village which makes it really authentic. 10 mins walk along the beach to restaurants.
Cons: Service is slow in the restaurants
Pros: I wanted to be near Pantai Cenang as this seemed to be the center of action in Langkawi, but cenang is notorious for having mainly mediocre hotels around the area.I wanted a little bit more upscale resort in the area and The Meritus Pelangi Beach Resort checked all the Marks for me.It is a big resort with lots of amenities to enjoy. From the moment I entered the reception I knew this is going to be a nice stay. The reception area was impressive and The check in process was handled in a very professional way.I had a room overlooking a pool which was very nice and well maintained. The resort actually had two pools and two lakes, two restaurants and a long stretch of beach front rooms. The room itself was very spacious and sparkling clean. The breakfast in the asian restaurant was a little bit pricey but I enjoyed it.I had a late flight so the hotel kept my luggage and allowed me to enjoy the hotel facilities till I left for the airport, which was appreciated. A short walk from the hotel will take you to Pantai Cenang where you can find food, drinks, watersports and tour agencies.Staff were really friendly and trying to do their best to help.Overall my experience was very nice. For sure I will consider it again if I come back to Langkawi.
Cons: The only disadvantage actually stems from the architectural design of the hotel. As most rooms are actually sharing a wooden building, sound insulation is very poor. You can literally hear every conversation, cough, and door slap on the room next to you. This could be a problem if you got noisy neighbours and you are a light sleeper. In my case my neighbours were quiet and nice and I tried to do the same for them.
Pros: Check in was fast as I was attended by Faizul and he is friendly so here my 5 star rating for him. Thumbs up to the concierge staff and those at the animal farm as they are friendly and excellent in their job. My kids loved the animal farm and so excited to go in the morning.
Cons: To my dismay I was asked to pay for my child"s breakfast the next day at CBA restaurant when I have confirmed that my booking includes breakfast. The restaurant staff can be more attentive by checking first before making such mistake. I asked the reception as when the kids club opens and was told at 830am. Went there at 84am it's locked and later found out they only open in the afternoon. How disappointing that the hotel staff don't even know their own services and the fact it's a 5 star hotel. I booked this hotel as there's water slide at the pool but unfortunately the slide is closed due to water pump issue. Stayed there for 3 nights and it wasn't fix. Wish the hotel could fix it sooner.
Pros: The location right in front of a pristine beach and nice facilities such as the pools
Cons: Food options not very high quality
Pros: Staff were great, food was also excellent. Beach is perfect
Cons: Not much
Pros: Food, beach view, location and excellent bar (CBA).
Cons: Some parts of the Hotel are in need of refurbishment. The children's play area at the pool requires immediate work; holes in the ground and slides need a paint. Gym equipment is very dated. No wifi in gym and the CD's that were playing were skipping songs. Quite annoying as there is no staff present and was up to the guest to change the CD. Eventually I turned off the stereo as all CD's seem to be skipping.
Pros: I love the kampung environment at the chalet. its calm and private. the location of my room is also near to the adult swimming pool. easy to bring my 3yo kid. i also love the swimming pool because its very big.
Cons: from my chalet, its quite far to walk to the beach with small kid around. yes they have buggy, but usually its quite late. select nearer chalet to the beach if you can. you have to call and remind the room service to clean the room, because they came late during our stay.

Featured amenities include complimentary newspapers in the lobby, dry cleaning/laundry services, and luggage storage. Free self parking is available onsite.
Pros: I like the interior and the ambience
Cons: The grass a bit out of maintenance
Pros: - the concept - beautiful houses and rooms - nice pool - great food at restaurant - friendly staff - small shop with souvenirs
Cons: - thanks to low season wasn’t expensive but if I had to pay full amount I would not be happy with the breakfast which is basic and have to make your own. We couldn’t sit outside so had breakfast inside. Staff only came in afternoon to clean up so many ants and other small animals will come to the room. We had a frog in the room and cockroaches too in the night. A bit more extra cleaning and good breakfast with good coffee, I would recommend this to everyone going to Langkawi!
Pros: Great breakfast is served, and the location is great as it is near to the airport as well as the beach. Overall, we enjoyed our stay at Bon Ton!
Pros: Personnel was super friendly and helpful. We received great suggestions which were an added value to our stay at Langkawi. Babymonitor worked fine while we could enjoy some time together, every night was data-night! Dinner at the restaurant was fingerlicking good!
Cons: Although good, we would have enjoyed being able to order hot/local breakfast. But this is the only small detail we can write.
Pros: Very peaceful and close to nature !
Pros: Great location, close to Centang beach yet isolated for comfort. Great stay to travel with pets. Well maintained swimming pool (in Temple Tree).
Pros: If you are the person who likes adventure, this is a right place to be! Staffs are super attentive and warm, our stay was overall amazing. It is definitely a wonderful place we would line to revisit in the future. Cats are everywhere is the property which makes the trip even more pleasant.
Pros: Just the most wonderfully relaxing place, staff so friendly and food in the restaurant excellent
Pros: Amazing and unique place with some really old but well furnished kampong style wooden villas. Kudos to the owner who gave us a free upgrade to a bigger villa. Bọn ton is situated a few minutes ride away from the main shopping district and also a night market. Although the breakfast is basic and not a continental style buffet, we really liked the fruit cakes which were delicious! Highly recommended as you will not find another place like that around the world. Worth the experience.

Pros: Because is close to my family house
Cons: The most they need to change is their blanket. Its was super thin.
Pros: Great location . Near to airport &pantai chenang.
Pros: The room is spacious , near to the mosque and easy to find food around.
Cons: The matress should be changed.
Pros: The strategic location
Cons: Hot water not working

Cons: It is far away from the town in benet junat and you need taxi to reach that arara
Pros: Wonderful Place. Beauty n clean of the beach.. So Natural Place n Fresh.. Friendly Staff they give Surprise Birthday Cake to my Little Princess.. Veriety of Breakfast Menu..
Cons: The Way to the Hotel quite Dark at the Night.
Pros: Meet expectation except the breakfast was horrible. So slow. The abandon building should be settle as fast as possible!
Pros: Quite place, perfect to relax. The breakfast buffet is good, but not special.
Cons: We had a good time, but I would say the place is overpriced for the region.
Pros: Really amazing view. Very friendly staff as they greet you with a smile and very helpful too. Very peaceful atmosphere if you during off peak. Good facilites.
Cons: Shutyle service to city or tourist points would be nice.
