Pros: Stunning location and village blends into surrounding countryside. Lovely bar area built around the rocks. Food excellent. Friendly staff. Loved the sunset guided walk with sundowners.
Cons: Low shower pressure with large shower head did not work well.
Pros: Good location 15 minutes from Fish River Canyon. Beautiful scenery.
Cons: Usual frustrating wifi
Pros: The Canyon Village was designed and built to blend with the surroundings with all the comforts one would expect. The staff was very friendly and helpful!
Cons: Too pricey for South African citizens! Should at least be half board!
Pros: The great staff service! Also the location and houses were good.
Cons: Insufficient vegetarian options during breakfast and dinner buffet. Rain shower head was wrongly installed which resulted in all the water dripping down the wall instead of on your head (room 26).
Pros: Service was exceptional. Staff were super friendly, well trained and accommodating Rooms were crisp and comfortable The spread at breakfast and dinner was extensive and scrumptious Staff were very accommodating towards our dietary restrictions Location, Views and decor were wonderful Very good value for money
Pros: Everything. It was an excellent stay and the staff were so friendly. We cannot wait to go back and see everyone again. Food is also really good and the pool area is amazing. Ask for James, he will take such good care of you.
Pros: Wonderful setting, close to the fish river canyon. Lovely pool area. The kids enjoyed the donkey cart taking our luggage to the room. The dirt road has been recently graded- what a pleasure!
Cons: Overpriced! Dinner very mediocre and no choice given, and not included in the room rate, and horrifically expensive! Tried the gondwana canyon roadhouse for lunch the next day and even more expensive, and we were served raw cold food, and extremely slow service! Such a pity! Only 100 mbs and very slow wifi per day. No fridge in the room, to keep drinks and meat for the rest of our trip cold.
Pros: It’s general ambience was excellent.
Cons: No fridge in room. The Wi-fi was both expensive and terrible. Long periods of no Wi-fi access.
Pros: stunning location. enjoyed the walks around the area.
Pros: Beautiful location and very high quality service food and drink. Really thoughtfully designed property with large central square. And the way they collect the luggage in the morning is just so cool! Won’t apoil the surprise by saying how it happens
Cons: As a family of 3 it would have been better to be able to book a triple than two full price doubles. I asked about it but ahead of the trip but never got a reply. Having all the rooms as twins as I think they are - maybe some are doubles - is very inflexible.
