The fact that it was clean and there were 2 bars of soap. It was not up to 4* hotel standards
Nice pool, nice breakfast, spacious rooms, close to centre and beach of Tolon.
We loved the village of Tolo. We were also very close to the beach and harbor. Our room had a great view of the sea and near islands. The hotel staff was friendly and very helpful.
We got upgraded to a suite which was excellent; nice view if your room is on the seaside (the opposite side might be less attractive) Quality of breakfast does not correspond to a 4* hotel; lobby is a bit shabby
We were lucky enough to have a large room with beautiful views of the bay and pool side. Big, balconies with nice furniture allow you to have a romantic and enjoyable drink/dinner even if your teenagers are with you. Even though it is at the end of Tolo, it is within easy walking distance of most of the town's attractions, except Psili Ammos Beach which is a 30 minuite walk, so take a car. The staff was friendly, attentive, and very helpful. Breakfast was very good. The swimming pool and excellent views, friendly bar man. Wifi also a bonus. Quiet location but accessible to everything in the town. A comfortable hotel Despite these shortcomings, we will stay at this hotel again, but here they are in the interest of fairness and full disclosure. There is a steep slope up to hotel and its parking which our rental car refused to make. Luckily we could park in the back side of the hotel, but either way you have to negotiate stairs and corners. Unfortunately the hotel will not be easy for people with mobility difficulties. The bathrooms were kind of crammed and were equipped with a very loud, noisy and ineffective fan.
The friendliness and helpfulness of the staff. The steep access road was not helpful for my mother and dangerous when conditions were wet. We had an English school tour in the hotel at the time of our stay and they took over the lounge and dining room when they were around, which caused us to vacate these areas during these times - we felt that should have made use of the conference room for their lessons, at least.
Great place for families. Location was terrific.
Very clean hotel. Professional and very helpful and friendly staff. Magnificent view from the front balconies. The rooms are not sound proof, we could hear our neighbours through the walls or through the ventilation system. As well, we could hear everything that was happening in the corridor. The "orange juice" that was served at breakfast was very sweet and had an awfull artificial taste. There was regular coffee for breakfast, but it was not freshly brewed. I would expect higher standards in a 4**** hotel.
As international travellers over the past 40years we appreciated the level of appointment of the establishment and in particular the degree of attention to all aspects of standards. The staff were keen to help at all times. We were disappointed the Thalasso Spa was not functional at the time of stay. Evening entertainment even to a minimal degree would enhance your capabilities.
Luxury and great room, friendly pool bar staff
The room was OK. The hotel is situated on a remote location. Ugly building. During the whole day there was loud music at the pool, beach and even during breakfast. Complaining does not help. The whirlpool in the bathroom caused an electrical short resulting in a power outage in the room. Hard beds. Unfriendly staff. No fresh orange juice at breakfeast, although there are lots of orange trees in the area. In short: the hotel is a big disappointment.
It was very silence place, the hotel is situated outside Kanthia village with its own beach and a huge swemming pool. Perfect place to forget the noise world. They sholuld offer also the All inclusive progame, for a perfect holiday.
Brand new hotel, quit, large room, classic, nice pool, on the beach, deserves 5 stars. The staff who are keeping the hotel in good condition and clean, should be much more professional.
location, beach, and staff i would stay there for 6 months if i could afford it
I really loved the spacious rooms, and the staff was very polite, friendly and helpful. I was amazed by the size of the pool... Breakfast buffet was also very good. The only thing that stood out was the food (quality & taste). It was far from what I'd expect at a hotel like this. Not only was it disappointing, but it was - to an extent - very bad. At the buffet, dinner was very low quality, and did not reflect the overrated price. Room service was also charged an extra 30%.
New hotel, great pool and private beach Spa not available, no buffet breakfast during low season, low value for money
Hotel stuff was very friendly and nice, location is very nice - close to the beach and Nafplio. Car parking is nice and safe. View from the room window and balcony was great! It had fully equipped kitchen. Safety box did not work. Bathroom was not so clean and shower did not work properly. Breakfast was very basic.
It was very peaceful, both because it was set back from the main town and there were hardly any other guests when we were there. The main man was very friendly. We also enjoyed relaxing on the balcony looking over towards the sea. There seemed to be a lot of tiny flies, particularly in the bathroom. Also the jacuzzi wasn't working.
The staff were very helpful and friendly. The view is from the outdoor pool terrace is incredible and the facilities are great!
Amaryllis Hotel Apartments are at a beautiful location. Gorgeous view of the Argolikos gulf. The staff is very friendly and helpful. Tolo is a charming town.
The staff were very friendly and the apartments were very well designed and spacious
Beautiful designed and comfort rooms. Very kindly hotel owner, beautiful view from balcony, great and clean pool.
I checked out after one night, it was too noisy. Too many kids. Not what l expected. IMy fault in expecting a quiet experience at a weekend
spacious studio (for the price) with kitchen equipemnt. perfect internet connection (cable). some of the guests
view over bay
Polite helpful staff, great breakfast. Location not great, Tolo in general is not a very pretty town.
The family that runs it very nice, and helped us make our way around. We were going to Epidaurus for the theatre and this was a convenient location (approx. 35 min. drive). Lots to see in area, Napflio, Mycenae, Epidaurus. Lots of Greek vacationers too! The doors to rooms are very thin, wood only. You can hear every movement from other guests coming and going. New doors and some sealing would help.
The staff was very polite and helpful. The pool was smaller but acceptable. Parking space was available, most of the times. Beyond that, nothing else too exciting. The hotel is classed as 4-star hotel, but in no way it is a 4-star hotel. Rather, it's 3-minus-star hotel with some "technical" upgrades. Not impressed at all with the location/facilities. The 4-star is very misleading; even the offered gym was not to the 4-star standards...
People are flexible and ready to help. Nice and well maintained swimming pool The breakfast buffet is a bit messy.....most of time, things are missing, coffee and tea are cold....so need improvements there
Great facility with great location. Good breakfast included with the price of the room. no
restaurant, swimming pool, staff with nice people bed service
Convenient location to the beach and town. I thought the price was high. We were charged additional money to use the safe in the room and to have internet access.
The location is excellent! Right in the centre, but still in a quiet area just few steps from the main road. The pool is fantastic with a pool bar. Good breakfast. Nice, quiet rooms with air condition.
staff very friendly during the low season, lots of school groups, very noisy especially nights.
our stay was very pleasant at the Paradise Lost Hotel, because of the nice swimming pool and the proximity to Mycenes, Epidaure, Nafplio..., the restaurant has little time of opening (it was never the good time for having a lunch or a dinner) and the manager could give a warmer welcome
The 2-roomed appartment was very spacious with a few nice extra touchs. Breakfast was very nice and plentiful. Plenty of parking facilities. Hotel is a quiet location just off the main street and across from the sandy beach! There is no control or supervision by the hotel staff over the swimming pool area even though there are notices saying no diving - these are not enforced. Children were jumping in all over the place, running and climbing onto the hydro-massage wall of the pool. You couldn't sit in peace around the pool to enjoy a drink and read a magazine. The situation is an accident waiting to happen!
Confortable, quiet, good value for money. Well equipped apartment style room, with small but adequarte kitchen. Secure room. Superb view (though rooms at the side of the hotel may have a more restricted view). Impossible to escape heavy smokers at breakfast - even outside!
Nice garden. Polite staff. Typical Greek miserable BB.
The room was good: very nice outside, comfortable inside, lovely view of the sea from our spacious balcony. It is very difficult to find! Even with map and GPS!
Hostess was very friendly and helpful. Rooftop bar great. Swimming pool refreshing (but not large). Very small bathroom and no cleaning service.
Accommodation is very good. Stuff was extremely pleasant. Scenery is beautiful and hotel is very tastefully furnished. Everything was very clean.
Excellent breakfast Good view Friendly reception no
The room was very clean and our room was spacious. The bathroom was large and there were lovely views. The pool and bar area are very nice. Our hosts, Gunda and Voula, were exceptionally nice and helpful. The Heliotopos is off the main street which is nice, and the hotel is very quiet.
The staff was very polite and the room was spacious and clean. Breakfast was excellent with a very wide choice.
Lots of space in apartment, very nice landscaping outside, lovely view of the town and sea, very close to town (5 minute walk to restaurants, shops and seaside), very basic apartment but great price. Liked that it was available for just one night...should have stayed longer. Would have been nice to have dish soap, salt and pepper and a pot scrubber. Otherwise amazing.
Clean, reasonable room, small by the U.S. standards but functional enough for our needs, good overall facility, great views and good swimming pool.Friendly staff. Excellent value for the money.
Very convenient for Nafplia, Mycenae, and Athens. Also very good for day cruises to Hydra and Spetses The municipality or the Greek Tourism Authority needs to do something about cleaning up the bwaches in Tolo
Overrated. Too expensive do not believe what the advertisements states. Really dissappointed
Professional , helpful and friendly staff.Hotel's position and room's view.
nice swimming pool, parking, view, air condition hair in the bath
Right on the beach, nice sea views, drinks and mezze available into the early hours. Room not too small, air con and balcony. Fairly long walk from car parking area.
Beach, accessibility of ancient sites, cooking of special dinners for us
The staff were very helpful and welcoming and the breakfast was copious and tasty. It was over-priced for the standard of accomodation. A basic room with little extra comfort. A tiny bathroom with bright white neon lighting and no ventilation. Cold floors and basic decoration. The windows onto the balcony were very hard to close. If it had been less expensive we wouldn't have minded.
The rooms were big and comfortable, breakfast was generous and the hotel was two steps from the beach. Air condition didn't fully work.
Great, great location - two meters from the sea (couldn't believe it!) - and unbelievable view from my room. Good value for money and nice people (it's a family run hotel). Will visit again in the summer with my wife and kids and try to stay longer this time - I bet they'll love it!
It was a perfect weekend getaway!! Loved the hotel, the staff and the location.
We got exactly what we expected. There was no overselling. The breakfast was fine and in line with expectations. The difficulty to find the hotel.
The room was good and the staff very nice A smell of fried food filled all the common spaces all the day; the air conditioning could not be adjusted; the parking is a public one and is situated across the beach, so we had to carry our baggages on the sand
Decent breakfast. Few minutes away from (walking to) the beach. Small rooms.I paid for a spacy three beds room.I got a two-bed room with no space for the third bed, with a view to the back side of the building. I asked the keeper for a change (there were plenty empty rooms) and I got a negative response.
The stuff very nice and friendly, specialy Demetry. The rooms and the hotel, the pool and the restaurant are very very clean. It's located in a very good place, beside the beach, the center of the town, and you can travel throw the area, there are beautiful things to see. I have to say something about the cleaning stuff: they do a wonderful and excellent work. I recommend for everyone who wants nice and quiet holiday to go to Apollon hotel :)
clean, helpful personnel ,nice breakfast. that's why we re going again
Friendly and helpfull staff
We met a receptionist named Dimitris at this hotel and he was so kind and helpfull and he makes our stay very pleasent.
Excellent and quiet location off the main road with own parking. Still near to the sea [less than 5 minutes walk]. The reception staff are very good. Problems are treated immediately. Non smoking lobby and restaurant [quite rare for Greece]. Big balkonies. Bathroom could be bigger
its location, breakfast, clean room small bathroom
It is good enough. Thats why, we booked again for the time to come.
the swimming pool & great service by the staff
Lovely courtyard, friendly staff
Good quiet location within short walk to the shops, restaurants and beach suitable also for small kids. Nice pool area. Beautiful view from balcony of appartment (not in ground level appartments). Easy to find with the map, which was kindly sent by email after I had done reservation. We were welcomed with friendly smile even if we arrived 5:30 am and I had to wake up the owner.
High speed wi-fi internet access, near the beach, the supermarket, the bus stops, the port, small but comfortable room, a/c, tv, fridge Noisy bed, thin walls (you could hear what your neighbors were saying and doing), wi-fi did not extend to the room, could only access from the pool area
We were in a Maisonette and the views from both balcony's were lovely. Our hosts were very helpful and hospitable, serving home-made goodies at breakfast and providing suggestions about visiting the area.
The owners were very friendly and the good swimmingpool. That there was no direct possabilaty to go from the room to the swimmingpool.
The staff was very friendly. The apartment was basic but o.k., from the balcony you have a beautiful view on the see. Tolo is a very busy town, with a lot of tourists, shops and restaurants.
We enjoyed the view on the sea from the balcony, and the children loved the swimming pool. The staff was nice. Wa had a pleasant stay. The bathroom was too small.
The owner is very friendly and makes sure you enjoy your stay. Great value for your money, rooms are clean and everything works fine. It's an ideal place to stay if your are traveling with your family. The beach, a supermarkets and restaurants are within a short walking distance
Very nice and comfortable appartment hotel with super friendly hosts.
Very nice staff and a friendly atmosphere. Nice swimmimgpool and close to the beach and the nice city with a lot of shops and caffés and restaurants. Nice and clean rooms. Nothing bad to say about this hotel.
A clean and friendly hotel with a nice swimming pool and good aircon in the rooms. A bit of a walk to town but location was therfore quiet. It is possible to park by Tolo beach teenagers may appreciate more to do at hotel eg. a table tennis table although there is full court tennis.
the pool closed very late The breakfast could have been a bit better, a few more items to choose from.
Very peacefull, we were the only guests on one night. We arrived very late, and phoned to confirm. Staff were very helpful. Bathroom cramped. Door locks were found difficult to secure by some of our party.
Friendly staff, very good price, renovated and very quiet location
Excellent place for family with children, the room was quired.
Clean, comfortable accomodations, very close to the beach, rigth in the heart of the town. Highly recommended if staying in Tolo.
I loved the location Breakfast...
i like and i know hotel staff and it have good place near the see.
nice hotel in a cosy beach village
Good location in the town of Tolos, direct access to beach. Parking just next to the hotel. Owner operating the hotel is friendly and helpful. Shower head can be improved - current shower head feels like spraying your own body with high pressure car wash nozzle.
Quite good breakfast 1) There was an awful smell in the room coming from the bath, 2) We asked for double en suite and we got two single beds placed alongside, 3) The beach underneath is awful, 4) The air-condition was very dirty (like it has been never cleaned) and hardly cooled the room. Definably don't book in this hotel, there are so many (booking does not even have them) that you will surely find one far better.
Position, views, staff
The reception' s colaborators are very friendly. The view over the sea. Acess to the hotel is dificult, no car parking, and the reception is on the beach. It is dificult to take de bags so many meters over the sand on the beach. Very hot rooms
Having stayed in 4 star hotels on Pelopones, I can say that this is an underrated hotel! Unless you will stay in the water, there is no hotel on earth as close to the sea ;-)
Exellant location right on the beach; nice view;just a few minutes walking from seaside bars and tavernas.Quite good breakfast. For it's price it is quite good. For families who stay a long term.
Nice location, on the beach, 5 m to the sea from the hotel entry, clean room, viziting arheological site We have booked a room for 3 persons and we have received a 2 person room that had a double bed and a extra bed for the third person, therefore the space in the room was little hard to move when 3 persons were in the room. We wanted a room with sea view, but at the reception this desire was no possible, stiil there were free roams.
This is an excellent hotel with top, very attentive service. Right on the beach, excellent breakfast, possibility to have lunch and dinner in the hotel. If you bring your own laptop, wireless internet (only available in the - very large - lobby) is free. The rooms without see view look upon the mountain - but also into an interior courtyard that smells from the two restaurants in the back. Not really an issue - even with the windows open, but you can't really stay on the balcony. Balcony is small and some furniture needs replacing. Also: the rooms are not fit for three persons - even if you booked a three person room.
next to bay tile floors, no conditioner, more choices of fresh fruit for breakfast
Beach access at hotel's door, friendly staff
Clean rooms and nice design of the hotel interior and exterior. Nice parking lot. We were actually moved to another group hotel [Apollon], where the receptionist was at least unwilling to help us and referred us for anything to the Minoa Hotel. Our room was having view to a wall and was over the electricity generator and by no means was worth 85 euros. The receptionist was unwilling to help us and we had to walk for more than an hour to get to Minoa and fix this.
If you want to be close to the beach, you can't beat this. You don't have to pay Napflion room prices (especially since one day in Napflion is more than enough), the water is clean and warm, and the main street in town is full of nice tavernas and shops. It's a family-run operation so they try hard to please. Good internet access. Breakfast is pretty much the same every day. The windows are left open in the dining area, thus allowing flies in, so it would be nice if the breakfast buffet was covered so that the flies don't land on the food which is offered.
