THE HOTEL Nestled in Austria's Tyrolean Alps, Hotel Zhero - Ischgl/Kappl is a true blend of traditional Alpine hospitality and upscale, innovative design. The hotel is within walking distance of some of the world’s top ski, snowboard, hiking, and climbing locations and arranges a free shuttle service to the famous ski resort of Ischgl. After a day of activity, guests can retreat to one of 79 luxurious rooms and suites, or dine at the Zhero Open Grill where executive chef Klaus Brunmayr has created a menu mixing regional and international cuisine. Guests may also take the day off and relax in the tranquil spa, with a menu of treatments to soothe and salve the soul. MADE BY ORIGINALS Before founding the Zhero Hotel Group in 2002, Jens Liebhauser was in the real estate business, acquiring German residential properties and shaping an international luxury development organization. In addition to the hotel group, Liebhauser oversees over 20 affiliated companies in various industries—ranging from high-end fashion to restaurants and cafés—putting his education in economics and interior design to good use. ARCHITECTURE & DESIGN Despite the impressive architecture, Hotel Zhero - Ischgl/Kappl doesn’t distract the onlooker too much from the beauty of the surrounding Verwall, Samnaun and Silvretta mountain ranges. In fact, the building is translucent, reflecting the natural splendor with its shimmering façade and architect Manfred Manfred Jäger’s use of glass, wood, and stone. Oversized windows diminish the boundaries between inside and out, while a synergetic mix of Tyrolean tradition and innovative design in stone, fur, and wood characterizes the interior design. Natural, local materials are used throughout, while top-brand furnishings keep the aesthetic progressive.
