Great location on a fantastic beach.Clean room.Good breakfast. Lack of choice in restaurant in evening.Staff OK but not exactly friendly.
What a surprise to come across such a relaxing, well maintained, authentically Turkish hotel on a beautiful beach around 10 kilometers out of Fethiye. We googled "nature, relax, hotel, Fethiye" and this came up. It was perfect. Wireless access, private cabana on the beach, fresh organic food, wildlife (birds, ducks, chickens, turtles, crickets.) Even the Turkish wedding at the campground next store with music into the night added to the ambiance. We read, ate, walked miles down the deserted beach in one direction. The owner is a young man with a good eye for design and we were pleasantly surprised with the postcards left in our room of some of his photography.... Definitely recommend this place!
This is a great location right on the beaches of the Med. The food is nothing short of excellent. Dinners are magnificent and if you stay at the lodge I would strongly suggest you take your dinners in. All meals our served down by the beach and you have the option of indoor or outdoor dining. We ate outdoors right on the beach. The breakfast is also very good. In addition to the breakfast that comes with your stay, they will cook several other “breakfast dishes” for you. Meal pricing is reasonable. I believe we paid 15TL for dinner and additional breakfast items were 3-5TL. I can’t say enough about the dinners. The food is served “family” style. Not only is it plentiful it was the best we experienced in our 3 weeks touring the country. The staff was great and can arrange everything for you. The only inconvenience is that is some distance from downtown, however, the local busses run every 15 minutes and are located just down the road from the lodge. Once we learned how to use the system it was no problem. The room was great. We stayed in the “Penthouse.” I would recommend a room on a lower floor as the Penthouse was more like staying in a loft. I had to bend over when entering the room and walking around in some areas of the room. The beach is truly tranquil and the sunsets are traffic. There is no nightlife however, the hotels down the road has entertainment including live music. The area is safe. If I were ever to return to that region there is no doubt I would stay there again. I already miss the sea bass and the fresh pasta! The Penthouse was not truly a Penthouse. It was a loft and hard to walk aroun in. Take a different room.
The location was the ideal getaway from the stresses of day to day life. Peace, quiet, tranqility, private beach and a river, chickens, ducks. Not the place to go if you want nightlife and shopping, but to relax - it's paradise! And the owners and staff - and the villagers - were extremely friendly and attentive, and really went out of their way to make my stay an enjoyable one (even giving me the experience of attending a family wedding!) Oh - and the food was absolutely delicious! The only negative is that it is perhaps a bit too isolated, with a lack of other restaurants and services available nearby. However, I think this was largely because my stay was at the very end of the season, and places had closed down already. But with the food at Yonca Lodge, there was no need for other restaurants anyway!
Very friendly helpful staff. Excellent location. Great organic and fresh food Noise from the unpleasant development next door.
Quiet, literally on the beach location for dining with stunning views across the bay, relaxed atmosphere, natural and home produced cuisine. Chickens running around ducks and turtles in the adjacent stream. Friendly helpful staff. There were no staff in reception when we arrived and we had to go to find them, although this was not a major problem. A neighbouring club had loud music/entertainment some nights. The penthouse room we had is not good for tall people, literally in the eaves, but we were not inside much so it was not a problem.
The location of the lodge was perfect, right on the beach. Very simple but so relaxing. We had a lovely meal in the evening with a table on the beach. The staff were very attentive. Sadly, the hotel is located between two larger hotels which play very loud music into the early hours. This is not the fault of the hotel but it is the only thing that would make me think twice about booking again.
Perfect place for relaxing holidays, with or without children. Very quiet, arranged with taste, small really relaxed place with huge garden, nice half sandy beach only 12 rooms, well maintained and clean. People (family) who have this place are really doing their busines with love and like to do it. Well, we decided to come back for the rest of our holidays after couple of days at another place.... Maybe some more variety for breakfast e.g. juice, not necessarily organic even freshly squeezed would be fine, yogurt, pastries or pancake ? All the rest was simply great.
Yonca Lodge is a quiet oasis of calm in a busy world. It is family run and provides fresh organic food in wonderful surroundings. No
