The location (although a long bus ride from the airport) it was very Greek. the Hotel staff and entertainers were friendly. as it is on beech the water sports are attached tot the hotel. and the rooms are all spacious and well kept. the long bus journey as going was 3 hours and was advertised at 1hour 50min.
Many facilities for children, spacious room, private beach. Not far from city center. Monotonous food, sometimes of not very good quality, but appropriate for this price.
- manolis and sabina are so charming and warm with the beauty of the the mountains all together in a very beautifull hotel, it's probably one of the best places in crete! - plus a very good food and a lovely swimming pool!!!!
If you are looking for a unique small hotel embedded in nature with a gorgeous view look no further. We spent a week in this truly lovely hotel where Sabine and Manolis, in their welcoming and obliging manner made it an unforgettable holiday.
A fantastic hotel in a superb quiet location with wonderful views over the valley below. The accommodation to an high standard. The owners provided good advice on where to visit in the area. My wife and I look forward to returning to this great place for a holiday away from the mass tourism of the coast.
Very peaceful & remote. Owners and staff very friendly, and the food was regional, simple but well done. Wonderful if you are into horse riding, but also a good base to explore east central Crete.
Probably all rooms have great view to the beach. Clean. Easy and cheap food. Pool, fitness, beach nearby. The receptionist helped me find best route via Ziros and Xerocampos to Zakros. Food quality is good but plain. I was looking for hotel in city centre of Ierapetra, but it was 2 kilometers to the east. Its on a hill, good sign on road (one sign is missing). You feel a bit trapped, as Ierapetra in general, doesn't have that much to offer. Except the Venetian fort and Napoleon house.
Very nice place! The hotel + restaurant (excellent traditional food) serves as the meeting point of the whole (traditional) village (musicians, families, friends included), and the whole family seems to help, serve, in the hotel, in a very friendly and welcoming way. Therefore, it is a good place to have a taste of true traditional Crete atmosphere. It is located a bit far in the mountain (30 min to the sea), but this is probably what makes it so traditional, as the owners want the place to be. And the view is very nice. The rooms are very romantic. But be careful: traditional also means no air conditioning, even if a fan can be found on demand. Note: don't miss the annual village honey party, which is a pure Crete experience.
