7.0 Good
Pros: Great location, beautiful garden, charming room, eager and friendly staff, free parking, delicious complimentary breakfast.
Cons: Although the man who checked us in was friendly, he seemed unfamiliar with his job; perhaps he was new. Forgot to leave us the key, didn't know how to unlock our safe (which we were never able to use), couldn't process our credit card.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: The breakfast and service was amazing
Cons: Nothing
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Location, staff, room, breakfast, everything was great! When we visited, the temperature in Vallodolid got up to 39 degrees, the small pool in the garden was lovely (when not visiting the amazing, 5 minute out, cenote Zaci). We were offered to use the slightly bigger pool next door if we wanted to.
Cons: -
9.5 Excellent
Pros: Small property with a few rooms but everything is very well done and executed. Clean rooms with wifi and air conditioning that works well. Staff are super friendly and helpful as well. It is well located a few blocks from the bus station and next to the main square as well. Great breakfast too.
Cons: Water pressure was a little weak, but nothing major and did not stop me from taking a shower at all.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: It is a beautiful hotel, the breakfast was great and staff incredibly helpful. Thank you!
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Great breakfast! Great service and very beautiful garden landscape.
Cons: The pool is just a Jacuzzi, not really a pool.
9.5 Excellent
Pros: Location of the accomodation was perfect, right close to the city center market. The staff were excellent, kind and spoke good English! Breakfast was lovely, you got to choose of a menu, garden was beautiful as well as the jacuzzi for a cool down! Would defenitly recommend! Ps you are allowed to park your car at the back of the hotel!
Cons: Nothing
10.0 Excellent
Pros: We LOVED staying at Casa Tia Micha. The hotel was beautiful and peaceful, providing the perfect location to relax and cool off after days exploring the town and surrounding areas. The provided breakfasts in the morning were large and delicious, completely holding their own against the many delicious meals we ate in Valladolid and by far the best I’ve had at a hotel during my travels. And the staff a Casa Tia Micha were amazing. Consistantly kind and gracious, all the staff members we encountered made our stay the best it could be. I wish we could have stayed longer and would highly reccomend staying here to anyone who chooses to visit Valladolid!
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Good location near city centre. Friendly staff. has facility to part car in near by Burger Kings.
Cons: Property is excellent. One complaint about Valladolid - I would advise travellers to carry Pesos before going to Valladolid. It is hard to change locally. Banks do not change money. There is only one shop that changes money and overcharges because of no competition. Same problem if you want to buy something in USD. You would get about 6-7% better forex rates in Play Del Carmen, etc.
9.5 Excellent
Pros: Location, room, it is quiet despite being so close to the city centre. Staff super nice ! We will definitely will come back and recommend the place.
Cons: Nothing to companion
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Hotel was very clean, secure and with a beautiful courtyard. Staff was very nice and accommodating. The location was wonderful, just a half block from the town square. Parking was very convenient in the lot next door and was also free.
Cons: Hot tub in the room looked uncomfortable to use. Television remote(s) were confusing. Would have been nice to have been told by the hotel in advance that there was construction directly next door.

8.8 Excellent
Pros: Good location. Room was clean. Pretty garden. Staff was friendly. We booked because of the great reviews but were not satisfied (probably because our expectations were too high).
Cons: Hard to put into words. The decor gave away a gloomy feeling. Room quite dark. Lots of mosquitos, so we coudn't use the garden and pool. (and we used plenty of other pools in other hotels - only a problem there). We just didn't really feel comfortable there. Breakfast was ok. Good, but not as awesome as reviews say. Only ok. We wouldn't stay there again.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Beautiful big and functional rooms, staff extremely kind and attentive, excellent breakfast with sweet and typical Mexican savory options. Everything was perfect!! The best hotel we have been in Mexico!
Cons: Nothing
9.3 Excellent
Pros: We immediately felt at home at Casa Marlene! The staff is very welcoming (thank you Jesus!!), super friendly, and ready to give you tips at all times. The house itself is just lovely, very pretty. The rooms are nicely decorated, the bed is super comfortable. The accommodation is located right in the city center, so you are close to everything. However inside you do not feel like this at all. There is an enclosed garden with beautiful plants which is very quiet and has some nice sunbeds and a pool. The breakfast is just perfect! We loved our stay and would definitely come back should we visit Valladolid again.
Cons: There was nothing not to like. It was just lovely.
8.8 Excellent
Pros: Great breakfast
Cons: AC and hot water
10.0 Excellent
Pros: The space was stunning - a beautiful courtyard including mango and banana trees, an intimate pool, and other tropical greenery. Our room was the deluxe suite, it had a jacuzzi tub (worked perfectly), spacious bathroom, vaulted ceilings, cold tile floors, amazing air conditioning, a mini fridge with free bottled water, cable TV, and plenty of space to hang out. The staff was extremely accommodating, spoke good English, and helped us find the best tacos in town and arranged taxi services and cenoté tours. Breakfast was luxurious, with fresh fruit and fruit juice and/or coffee (Mayan or American), and a customizable breakfast with eggs that changed each day. The location was also ideal, less than a block away from the town center and church, we walked everywhere. Traveler's secret - the best liquor store in town is across the street from the hotel through tall, arched unmarked doors, if they're open, definitely stop in.
9.5 Excellent
Pros: Hospitality of the personnel.
9.5 Excellent
Pros: Breakfast was excellent, inventive, cooked to order The staff clearly take pleasure in doing their work with a sense of beauty
Cons: The coffee maker was broken
9.5 Excellent
Pros: Lovely boutique hotel with refreshing pool in beautiful garden. Staff very kind. Breakfast in the garden - no buffet but a menu. Free parking next to hotel.
9.5 Excellent
Pros: The building is very nice, traditional Mexican house with a very nice garden in the middle. The breakfast offered is amazing! WiFi is very good, there are several routers. The staff is super polite, friendly and helpful. Made our short stay very comfortable! they prepared a printout map with highlights to visit around the city. 24 hours reception and guard at late hours. The location is very close to the central square and safe. Hotel offers also a parking if you have a car.
Cons: Bathroom window didn’t open. The plastic cover of the toilet was missing. The room is old-style which I personally didn’t mind as the apartments are traditional.

Pros: Sara and the other staff were very friendly and accommodating. They helped orient us to Valladolid and to see the beautiful things the town has to offer. Cons: ☆☆☆☆
10.0 Excellent
Pros: The staff was kind and helpful. They had great recommendations on day trips and restaurants. The hotel has a lovely design and was well maintained. Plus, our room had a partially outdoor shower and a hammock!
9.3 Excellent
Pros: Great welcome when we arrived with comprehensive description of the area and possible tours to do (the hotel map was very well made, easy to use and fun). We did all that the manager recommended and really enjoyed it. The cenotes her recommended were amazing and we were the only people there. The room is massive with a hammock and 'outdoor' hot and powerful shower. Good A/C and comfy, clean beds. The cocktails were good and made in an outdoor bar. The breakfast has lots of good options and was served early for us on one occasion as we had to get up early for a tour.
Cons: The pool could have been cleaner, seemed to be a bit cloudy while we were there. The restaurant attached to the hotel seems to be more of a cafe but is only open 5-10pm. There wasn't a vegetarian option available when we tried to eat there.
8.3 Excellent
Pros: Lovely and helpful people! Nice rooms in a small scale hotel. Good breakfast. swimming pool . Parking space. Child friendly!
Cons: Limited diner menu at the restaurant.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Perfect staff and owner very helpful and property was very beautiful
Cons: Nothing
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Our stay at the Hotel San Juan was excellent. The hotel itself is a beautifully restored colonial house. Our room was very comfortable and we loved the unique outdoor showers within the rooms! The breakfast was fantastic and offered early enough to allow you to get to the nearby Mayan ruins and Cenotes before the crowds. We can’t wait to return!
10.0 Excellent
Pros: This was such a nice hotel with a wonderful staff and accommodations!
Cons: The hotel itself was kind of hard to find, and the parking was limited, although the staff was very accommodating.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: It is a beautiful house, you almost feel at home! The garden is amazing, the pool, the rooms, every detail of decoration and the staff! The location is great, like a little oasis! We have a toddler and she absolutely LOVED the game corner. One of the only hotels to offer such an easy but thoughtful detail. You dont want to leave the place
Hostel Candelaria - Valladolid - Bedroom

10.0 Excellent
Pros: Everything was perfect !
10.0 Excellent
Pros: This place was perfectly located in the center of town, and two blocks from the bus terminal. The staff was great and super helpful. Their included breakfast even offered omelettes! Make sure you rent bikes and visit some of the cenotes, Sumbalá was beautiful.
Cons: It's a youth hostel, so it includes the requisite half-naked, barefoot stoners, but they have private rooms.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: This is just one of those places that exceed all your expactations and is surely set up by people that have traveled a lot, collected inspiration of hostels from all over the world and took only the best things with them to put together in their hostel. Clean air conditioned dorms, a free walking tour through the old city (highly recommended), delicious breakfast included, a place to do laundry by yourself (!), basic kitchen needs and a fully equiped kitchen (oil, garlic, herbs and pasta for FREE, so Spaghetti aglio e olio eat your heart out ;) ), nice common areas to meet other travelers, fast wifi, friendly staff and all the information you need available at the front office. Definitely worth a visit!
8.8 Excellent
Pros: The backyard is beautiful and cosy. Having breakfast there is a great experience, especially since the breakfast is freshly made and delicious!
Cons: Our room did not have A/C, but did have a fan to cool us down at night. Unfortunately, the electricity went out a couple of times, which made the heat (30 degrees Celcius) quite uncomfortable. This may not have been the hostel's fault though... The many musquitos in the truly lovely backyard made it slightly less lovely.
9.5 Excellent
Pros: Great breakfast - beautifully done by staff
8.8 Excellent
Pros: The staff at the reception. The garden is amazing! The garden shower, the kitchen in the garden.
Cons: Wi-Fi could be better.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Everything is perfect. Location, Dorm, Hostel public area was amazing. You must to stay in this hostel for Valladolid
Cons: -Nothing
9.5 Excellent
Pros: Breakfast Bed Info Bike
Cons: Bathroom
8.3 Excellent
Pros: Personel was super hospitable. Entrance to the room os not easyly accesable so they took our luggage to the room what was very nice from him. Cute decor.
Cons: First day the breakfast was very poor. We were served only with 2 pankakes and when we asked for more they didnt like it. However secon day was a lot of options. Felt like i didnt dine at the same place comparing 2 days. Rooms are very small. We were 3 in the room and it was difficult to place our stuff and not bumping and jumping over our stuff.
8.8 Excellent
Pros: Price/Quality was excellent. Free breakfast included, which was delicious. Great location, close to the town square. There was a nice vibe in the hostel, and the staff was very friendly!
Cons: It was very hot when I was there, and I only had a shared doorm room with fans, which were noisy. So if you can't stand the heath, make sure to check whether AC equipped rooms are available.
9.5 Excellent
Pros: Breakfast was great every morning. Beds are so comfy and rooms and pretty spacious. Staff were very helpful. Super close to the ADO, it’s great.
Casa Rosario - Valladolid - Building
5
9.2 Excellent (457 reviews)
Overview Reviews
With a stay at Casa Rosario in Valladolid, you'll be within a 15-minute walk of Cenote Zaci and Calzada de los Frailes. Free self parking is available onsite.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Small hotel with super nice & helpful staff (which speaks only Spanish - but with some basics & your willingness to communicate it's not a problem). Rooms are really clean. Hotel offers kitchen to share with fridge (every room has its own shelf). You can also have a tea, coffee toast with marmalade - for free + free bottled water in a room. Location in city center + free parking. Highly recommended!
8.8 Excellent
Pros: Kitchen
Cons: Water from the wash basin in the bathroom .
9.5 Excellent
Pros: Casa Rosario is a nice building, both inside and out, that was clean and nicely decorated. The location is very close to the Ado bus stop, which makes it convenient for quick stays. The staff was very nice and helpful in answering all of my questions. Overall, this is one of the best accommodations that I've had during my Mexico travels thus far.
Cons: Perhaps it's time to retire the bed sheets that were on my bed...or invest in some good bleach, as they were fairly stained.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: We were happy with our stay at Casa Rosario. It all went well, it is not far from downtown so we were able to walk around and eat out easily. Nothing to complain about! Boking's refunds...still waiting for an answer....
7.5 Good
Pros: We stayed in this hotel only one night, we appreciated the possibility of parking inside. The room was clean and with everything needed. Walking distance to city center.
Cons: The room was small and too close to the reception so you could hear the noises of the guests coming back at night.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Great location, very close to the bus station and the main square. Lovely staff as well, always happy to explain anything and just really nice people. This place was exactly what we needed - we were staying in Valladolid for one night to visit Chichen Itza, so we left early in the morning and the late check-out time allowed us to have a shower after our visit before we had to leave the hotel. Sure, the toast & jam was not the best breakfast we had on our trip, but the hotel doesn't advertise breakfast so as far as we were concerned it was a lot better than nothing! There's free water in the fridge as well.
Cons: Nothing, really. The bed was a bit on the small side maybe, but this was not a problem for us.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Very nice and helpful staff. Good location with everything in 2-3 blocks Provide locked and private parking Provide basic breakfast n shared living room.
Cons: No
9.3 Excellent
Pros: Everything: Good location The room was very clean People from the hostel was very very nice
Cons: No breakfast
8.3 Excellent
Pros: We chose the hotel, because it is close to the ADO station, which is in walking distance. The other advantage is that you are close to the city center. Although it was not cheap the guy at the front-desk organized a taxi to Samula cenotes.
Cons: Th street in front of the hotel is rather busy, all buses going to the bus station pass by the hotel. So fo not expect an absolute quiet room.
8.3 Excellent
Pros: Extremely nice hosts, parking space (that even has a locked gate) right outside the entrance of the hotel. Comfortable beds, spacious room. Good air conditioning. Good location and good value for money.
Cons: A little noise from the street outside. Quite basic breakfast: toast and jam with tea/coffee.

Pros: The hotel was very charming. My wife loved the décor and ambiance and I loved the friendly and attentive staff!
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Stunning location! Beautiful garden and rooms. The staff was really friendly and flexible to help out visiting some cenotes, because there was not a car available in town to rent.
9.5 Excellent
Pros: Super cosy hotel close to the center of town. Location is amazing. Pool is small, but nice. Breakfast was super, best we've had in Mexico.
Cons: Rooms could have more light, you have to open a blind in a window, and that will let the outside heat into the room. Nothing else, really.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Everything. Staff, room, bathroom, service.
9.5 Excellent
Pros: Delicious breakfast and dinner and beautiful pool in the middle of the hotel
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Very clean, good food, beautiful property at a central location - staff is very friendly and helpful. Really recommend this place!
8.0 Excellent
Pros: Nice little hotel with a small garden inside. Little pool aswell
Cons: The room was very dark, had no real windows. For the included breakfast you can only choose eggs, you cannot choose from the whole menu Only two people can chill at the pool at the same time.
9.3 Excellent
Pros: Friendly staff at the reception and restaurant. Beautiful hotel and location. Very peaceful. Beautiful, spacious and very clean rooms with airconditioning. Good lunch and dinner menu.
Cons: Breakfast is "included" but when you arrive at breakfast you get a menu card with lots of good choices but 90% of them is not included in your breakfast. Even if you want ham or bacon with your omelette you have to pay extra. For us this is a bit weird: or you include a (smaller/full) breakfast in the price or you don't serve breakfast at all.
9.5 Excellent
Pros: Everything! They are really nice, the breakfast and dinner next to the pool is awesome. We are travelling with car so the parking of the hotel is a great thing for us! Few steps from the hotel and you are in the Main Street of the city and few step on the other side you are at the cathedral :) Rooms are clean and beautiful!
Cons: Nothing
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Very nice little hotel in the center of Valladolid. Super friendly staff and stylish rooms!

Pros: Location is great
Cons: The guy at the gate tried to charge us for returning to the hotel
9.5 Excellent
Pros: Lovely grounds, lots of swimming pools - spacious and filled with trees, birds and other animals. Location with private entrance to Chichen was amazing - we got in just after 8 before the crowds and returned in time for a swim before lunch. We thought the restaurant was good - expensive but not too bad for the Mexican food which was delicious.
Cons: Air con leaked on our bags. No WiFi in the rooms - reflects the size of the property and is understandable, but is a bit annoying nowadays.
9.5 Excellent
Pros: This is a great hotel near the ruins and the bungalows are set in tropical gardens
Cons: The staff often needed to be reminded 2-3 times of a request before they did it.
7.5 Good
Pros: Location is great, natural, food is delicious
Cons: Pest control needs to be strengthened
8.3 Excellent
Pros: The facility is beautiful and the room was nice. This was the third time we have stay in this hotel.
Cons: The food was horrible. We ate breakfast and dinner two days and all meals were bad. They served me a piece of salmon that was so hard I could not cut it with a knife. They said they would make a special dessert to make up for the issue. We told them we did not drink alcohol and they made something with two liquors that was not good at all. No one evwn ask us if we wanted dessert. This is the third time we have stayed here and the food was not that bad those times. Later we spent two nights at the Lodge in Uxmal and the food was wonderful. If they can do it why can’t you.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Loved the sunrise guided tour of Chichén Itzá, utilising the hotel’s own access path. Just a walk out the door from the Lodge. Perfect.
8.8 Excellent
Pros: Staff were excellent and the location next to Chichen Itza was amazing.
Cons: Electricity in the rooms is very badly wired and I think blew my e-cigarettes circuits in the night, Should really be sorted out.
8.8 Excellent
Pros: Excellent location, good size room .
Cons: The restaurant staff took over an hour to deliver our food.
9.3 Excellent
Pros: The pool is good and closed to our room. The stuff are friendly and warmhearted. The hotel has own entrance for the Chichen Itza to avoid the crowds.
Cons: There are some moths in the room. The breakfast is not very good for me, the fruits are not very fresh.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: We enjoyed a relaxing stay at this lovely hotel which has direct access to Chichén Itzá. We stayed in a Mayan bungalow set in beautiful grounds next to one of the swimming pools.
Cons: Not all the swimming pools were heated.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: From the bell boy/concierge, to the restaurant manager, thie staff was fantastic. We stayed for four nights, and felt like everyone started to become family. They went out of their way to make our stay special.

5.8 Okay
Pros: Very nice location with efficient and smilling staff (except reception).
Cons: False description of the room. No Wi-Fi, no siting corner, no desk, no chair, no ironing board, no iron, no mini-bar, no electrical switch next to the bedside table, no coffee machine, no safe. The room was far away from the promised 28sqm. Roughly between 16-18sqm. The terrasse had to be shared with the room next door. We asked the reception staff why such a gap between the description and the reality? The answer : "everything is available in the lobby and the sitting corner and the desk are on the terrasse". Adding to this, the isolation between rooms does not exit. You can follow the entire discutions of the room next to yours and see their light between non closed walls to the roof. The hotel clearly cheats on its customers.
9.3 Excellent
Pros: The location and property are impressive. Staff friendly. Very charming.
Cons: All water had to be purchased in plastic bottles. Other hotels we stayed at in the area provide jugs of purified water. The amount of plastic water bottles that we went through in just a few days overflowed the trashcans. It was sad to think of the massive amount of plastic the waste the hotel produces just to make money from selling overpriced bottles of water. Food at restaurant quite pricey but that was to be expected. Visit the local town for cheap and delicious food.
9.5 Excellent
Pros: Excellent rooms, great and beautiful resort style hotel, direct access to the ruins. Not cheap, but excellent hotel, really.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Everything
Cons: Nothing
8.8 Excellent
Pros: The pools are set in the beautiful gardens. Bungalow was comfortable, with nice seating area inside and on the balcony. We loved the entrance to the grounds of Chichen Itza, that allow you to enter before the crowds (and great many vendors).
Cons: The beds were not too comfortable for two adults, two children.
8.0 Excellent
Pros: great location great staff
Cons: the room was promised with a view of the pyramid. The view was not what was described. Was foliage blocking the view
10.0 Excellent
Pros: The place all the gardens are fabulous!!
Cons: That they don't have an elevator
10.0 Excellent
Pros: The hotel was beautiful and lovingly cared for, meals were delicious and staff was helpful and friendly
Cons: Wifi Signal did not work in room.
9.0 Excellent
Pros: It was beautiful and an excellent location to Chichen Itza. Our room was opulent by my standards, especially the bathroom. Although we did not have time to explore, from what we did see the grounds were also fabulous.
Cons: The internet in our room was non-existent. If we had been there earlier we would have loved to have tried the buffet but it is only in the afternoon.
8.2 Excellent
Pros: I have to improve some important details; such as a warm and personalized welcome. Clearly you need a structural reorganization.
9.0 Excellent
Pros: Location is good and the staff is very helpful
Cons: Need a clear signage in the cross to this hotel
9.5 Excellent
Pros: The grounds were lovely, lots of massive old trees, wide open spaces and palapa style housing with high ceilings. The planetarium show was surprisingly good and the food at the restaurant as well. We woke up feeling like we were in the jungle, lots of birds signing and went to sleep with frog chirping. There were large iguanas all over.
Cons: The humidity and mosquitos wasn’t pleasant but that’s not the properties fault. Haha.

Pros: It’s absolutely squeeky clean, the staff are friendly and helpful, it’s centrally located and quiet (always a bonus in Mexico) and the owner a wealth of local knowledge.
Cons: No complaints.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Nice and quite spot, with nice little pool and breakfast included!
10.0 Excellent
Pros: LOVED this place. It’s comfortable, unique, beautiful, and utterly charming. I traveled with my daughter (age 24) and we both really liked our time here. Claudio was friendly and helpful, I LOVE that you show a great, classic movie outside at night, with popcorn (!), and the room and bed could not be more comfortable. Thanks for everything—we will highly recommend this place to anyone we can.
Cons: Can’t think of anything, honestly
9.5 Excellent
Pros: Great breakfast; dining room staff very accommodating as we arrived too late for dinner one night and they allowed us to WhatsApp our order in from the road so they could cook it and close up the kitchen. Very friendly cats roam around. Mellow atmosphere. Easy walk into center of town. Good value. Rooms large and clean. Beautiful setting. Easy and safe parking.
Cons: My level of Spanish and the front desk guy's level of English didn't quite meet up. He was trying to explain things I should see in town but we had a hard time communicating. It would have been great if they had pre-printed maps of the area and he could have just pointed me in the right direction.
9.5 Excellent
Pros: Location within 10mn walking distance to cathedral and main plaza, kindness of the staff, cleanliness, design, pension style and a luxuriant exotic garden. The owner Dennis is very friendly and cares about everyone. Meet the other guests and share your experiences. Dennis has a passion for geology and will teach you a lot about the history of the area from dinosaurs to Maya civilization.
Cons: Everything was perfect
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Great hostel!
9.3 Excellent
Pros: Big and beautiful rooms with unique murals. We loved the huge and comfy bed. Very friendly service as well. The owner gave us a lot of tips on what to do in and around the city. The hotel is at walking distance from the center yet still very peaceful.
Cons: Breakfast was ok. Yoghurt, fruits and cereals are included in the room price. You did have to go and ask yourself if you wanted tea, coffee or juice. Staff could have been a bit more proactive.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Beautiful setting, very relaxed, friendly owner and staff, great food
Cons: Everything was great
7.5 Good
Pros: The location , the pool , great breakfast and good service in the restaurant
Cons: Appalling service on arrival . Receptionist wasn’t there and no knew what they were doing . We were over charged for our room but eventually got a free upgrade after 45 minutes of waiting in the heat with no water or fan . The shower lacks pressure .
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Out of our entire trip, this was our favorite place to stay. From arrival to departure all of the staff made us feel welcome and comfortable going the extra kilometer even when it was not necessary. Dennis the proprietor was wonderful to listen to on the front porch. He truly loves the place, people, and community that he has made his home. Sit awhile and chat with him if you get the chance, he is a true gem of information. I loved the mariachi band that came and played for the locals on the park square. Casa Hamaca and another local establishment sponsor the regular event that is heavily attended by the locals. We will definitely return.

10.0 Excellent
Pros: The location is fine, very close to one of the cenote, but the main is the facility and the staff. Very welcoming attitude from everyone starting with the reception and finishing with the waiters. The hotel itself is like a fairy tale and a nice place to take photos. The breakfast and the food itself in the hotel's restaurant is amazing (what you would not expect) and I recommend everyone to try dining there. The local recipe for a mojito is a special hit!
Cons: Nothing, it's a perfect place for a stay!
8.3 Excellent
Pros: very nice atmosphere. The cave pool is amazing!
10.0 Excellent
Pros: I loved the laid back atmosphere of the Zentik Project , enjoyed the delicious food and pleasant gardens. The saline cave is well kept and nice temperature, very relaxing. Staying at the Zentik Project and being in Valladolid was a perfect choice for our Mexican holiday.
9.3 Excellent
Pros: The ambience, helpful staff and general Feel Of the place. Very relaxing, great pool and cave pool Too. Loved the tortoises and planting gave it a very special feel
Cons: Not so keen on the zentik coffee!!
9.5 Excellent
Pros: Everything! The staff were great, the food was delicious, the cave was astonishing! We really did enjoy the place.
Cons: Not a single thing.
9.5 Excellent
Pros: The hotel is located a bit out of the way from Valladolid downtown but if you have a car this will not be an issue. There is parking in the premises and the hotel is beautiful, with amazing little details everywhere - the little turtles walking around, , the orchids growing from the trees, the warm and cozy saline cave, the insect net on top of the bed, etc. Everyone made us feel so welcomed and we wish we had more time to spend at this location. Oh and the massages are highly recommended!
Cons: I can´t really think of anything
8.8 Excellent
Pros: Great small boutique hotel. Lovely host (Susanna). Rest of the personal are friendly too. Location is a little bit outside the city centre but with your rental car easy to drive around (and parking everywhere for a few pesos). Good restaurant with various and different options. Lot’s of attention to detail and the way meals are being presented/served. Prefer taste over presentation though. Rooms are relatively large and charming. Great bed and nice showers. They have a pool but the water looked a little murky so didn’t swim. Overall great spot to explore Valladolid. We stayed for 3 nights.
10.0 Excellent
Cons: A lot of the items on the menu have bacon in them and it’s not written as an ingredient. It’s a very healthy place and a place of healing. Adding that doesn’t make sense to me without telling the customer if they’re there to get healthy and heal.
8.0 Excellent
Pros: Very nice environment, 24/7 access to indoor hot pool, free parking. Good bar with drinks.
Cons: Lot of mosquitos flooding room through holes in a door. Limited breakfast menu. Far from downtown.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: We loved this place. The cave was so relaxing. We also loved the little touches at the property. Everything was so personable. The artwork and the design of the hotel were amazing. And the food was fantastic. The tuna ceviche was out of this world.
Cons: Nothing. It was all great.

Pros: Super friendly & helpful staff Great location...town & cenote within 5-10 mins Very clean Lovely little pool & pool towels Great value for money Good shower Really comfortable beds Kitchen with everything you need
9.5 Excellent
Pros: Casa Hipil was clean, quiet for being right off the main road, and absolutely charming.
Cons: The small pool with a hammock over it was not as clean as we’d hoped. The person at the front desk explained about parking in the back, but we were not able to find the entrance. If there’s a sign, we couldn’t see it. We ended up parking on the street, which was fine. There’s no elevator, but we managed to lug suitcases us the stairs.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: The gentleman who checked us in was so helpful in helping us find places to eat and visit. Beautiful little city! This Hoyle was very nice. Narrow stairway going up to our room but the room was very nice. There is a nice small pool in the back with a hammock that we didn't use but looked nice.
Cons: Nothing it was great!
9.5 Excellent
Pros: Best price,good location,friendly staff
10.0 Excellent
Pros: We would recomend a stay to anybody visiting Valladolid. The kitchen was perfect to take a brake from town, and to have a meal and a cool down in the pool after trips to pyramids, cenotes etc. The whole family of five felt at home. Very friendly, warm and at the same time highly proffesional staff. Would love to have another stay.
9.0 Excellent
Pros: Clean, cozy, free water, large kitchen, nice rooms
Cons: Room #1 in front of reception has a poor air con
10.0 Excellent
Pros: The hotel is located very close to the city center and the main interesting points from Valladolid (cathedral, cenote Zaci). The staff was very friendly and gave us some tips of what to do and see (a great hint was the (even free) sound and light show at the church happening at 9 PM - you need to check the times as they change according to the season). A good smoothie place is nearby at Casa Natural and a laundry shop just 5 mins away (for travellers being away for a while :) ). The room is very comfortable and the hotel has a nice charm exhibiting also traditional sewed materials. There is also a small swimming pool, but we did not try it.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Wow, this was a nice place! And also one of the cheapest I could find. Really nice and friendly staff, there is a kitchen available, big room with AC (and really good bed). Clean shower. About 10 minutes walk to the Grand Plaza, I felt safe walking here at night (solo female traveller). And the place was quiet. I think there were lots of other guests staying there but I never saw or heard many people. They have a pool but like other people said, it's really small. I didn't use it.
8.0 Excellent
Pros: The hotel staff speak great english and are very polite and attentive. Although small, the place is kept very clean!
Cons: We had issues with the wifi not working. But they arranged with a sister hotel we could use theirs if passing by.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: The location, the hotel design, the cleanliness and the friendly staff!! We enjoyed it a lot!!
Cons: There’s nothing I would include. Everything was great
8.8 Excellent
Pros: - Nice and clean room with very good bathroom (clean, confortable and spacious) - Very good location - Nice common area (little terrasse for having breakfast or diner)
Cons: - Noisy at any time (dogs and car). Rooms really could have a better isolation. - Equipments of the kitchen could be improved (few glasses)

9.0 Excellent (470 reviews)
Overview Reviews
Enjoy the rustic charm offered throughout the guestrooms and public areas of Hotel Casa San Roque. Conveniently located at the heart of Valladolid, the property is within easy walking distance of local parks and markets. Guests are provided with complimentary wireless Internet and onsite parking as well as comfortable, air-conditioned accommodations.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: The kindness of the hosts, just fantastic. Señor Manuel and the others helped us so much with organising our day trips, that was very kind of them. The hotel is good, but what made it wonderful is the feeling they gave us of being more than welcome. The location is fantastic, super close to the main plaza and just a 10 minutes walk from the ADO bus station, there you can take busses to a lot of different cities!
Cons: The bed was a bit too narrow for us since we got used to the huge beds during our trip through México but it is manageable, of course
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Lovely B&B only 1 minute from the main square, but still quiet inside the B&B, which had a pretty garden and small pool. All the staff were delightful. Breakfast was good and served with such charm. Room was a good size, and quiet. Modern bathroom and plenty of toiletries. Small refrigerator too, which was welcome. Recommended
Cons: Nothing
9.5 Excellent
Pros: Cute and authentic hotel. Nicest staff. Enrique gave us lots of great recommendations. Perfect location to explore town.
7.5 Good
Pros: It is in a good location, 3 minutes on foot from the main square. There is a free parking in the next street.
Cons: The door of our room was not so secure.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: We had a perfect stay at Casa San Roque. The room was spacious, light, and very clean, the bed was very large and extremely comfortable, good shower and good toiletries etc were provided. Strong and effective air con. Wifi was good. While there wasn't a private balcony, there were chairs outside to enjoy the space. The staff were very warm and helpful for us in arranging transport, offering directions etc. The owner was also very friendly and keen to make sure we were having a good stay. The attractive garden benefits from a small swimming pool which is a good way to refresh yourself if in the city - but you're also very close (5 mins walk) to the incredible Centoe Zaci which was certainly one of the more impressive Cenotes we saw in Yucatan. Valladolid is a small and fun city and definitely worth spending a couple of nights in. We used it as a base to see Chichen Itza (before moving on to Tulum) which meant we could arrive early before the less bearable heat and hoards of tourists from Cancun etc turned up. We enjoyed some good dining experiences and nice rooftop bars and the atmosphere if the Zocalo in the evenings. Overall, faultless stay, exceeded expectations and highly recommend staying here!
9.5 Excellent
Pros: Amazing rooms and location.
Cons: Nothing was very good all round .
10.0 Excellent
Pros: The hotel manager and staff were very friendly and provided us with lots of ideas of things to do. The hotel was charming, well-kept and quiet.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Great location in center of city, easy to walk to lots of things. Beautiful little hotel and garden. Very kind staff.
8.0 Excellent
Pros: The location was close to the central Plaza and it was easy to get to the main touristic spots and a lot of restaurants close by. The room and bathroom was clean and functional.
Cons: The airconditioning was properly working, but the room ventilator at the ceiling did not work. When we arrived there were no hangers in the closet and when we mentioned it to the staff they managed to organize 5 hangers, but for 2 persons with no shelves in the closet that is not a lot. The included continental breakfast was only fullfilling the minimum standard and from the 3rd. day we had breakfast in a restaurant close by. The room and the whole hotel lacked atmosphere, a little bit more "mexican-style" decoration would change this impression a lot.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: The Kolibri at the breakfast
Cons: The room was a bit small
Tunich Beh - Valladolid - Bedroom

9.0 Excellent (274 reviews)
Overview Reviews
Located 40 km from the ruins at Chichen Itzá, Tunich Beh is in Valladolid, on the Yucatán Peninsula. It offers bicycle rental and a garden with an outdoor pool. Valladolid bus station is just 300 metres from the guest house. The ruins of Ek’ Balam are 30 km away, and you can drive to the nearest beaches in around 70 minutes. The air-conditioned rooms at the completely non-smoking Tunich Beh feature tiled floors and simple décor. Each one has cable TV and a private bathroom. The property serves a daily continental breakfast on the shaded terrace, where you can find 2 hammocks. Tunich Beh is 8 minutes’ walk from the town centre, where you will find a variety of restaurants.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Fabulous location and beautiful hotel!
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Tunich Beh was amazing! So much charm and personality! Very safe even to park, greeted by a friendly "concierge cat". The rooms are extremely clean, modern, and comfortable. Spacious, private, and air conditioned. Even had Netlix on the TVs. The pool is smaller, but beautiful. The open layout was exquisite. The breakfast ($5) was awesome. Omelette with ham and cheese, fruits, coffee/tea/fresh squeezed orange juice, toast, all made fresh in front of you. Valladolid is a little tricky to get around if you've never driven in Mexico before, but Tunich Beh is easy to find, and get to the city center from. If you want to see Chichen Itza or Ek Balam (while you can still climb Ek Balam, the last Mayan ruin you can climb) and their cenotes, staying in Valladolid is a must. The staff was super accommodating, even making sure I got settled in around midnight after a last minute booking. Being able to pay in American Currency was a plus as there are no credit cards accepted. I will 100% stay here again next time. Bring some treats for the cat!
Cons: Nothing. I wish I could have stayed longer. Valladolid seems like it might not be the safest city with the amount of bars on entryways, but I felt completely safe, and felt my possessions and even the rental car was safe on the property.
9.5 Excellent
Pros: Lovely little hotel with a colorful patio Great location right at the beggining of the calle 41A Secured parking inside Pool perfect for a dip Great value for the cost
Cons: Nothing specific
10.0 Excellent
Pros: The hotel is lovely. A very pretty courtyard area and airy front room for breakfast. The room was very clean. Our only complaint with the room was the lack of lights, only one very dim overhead light but we were out and about most of the time so not really a big deal. The pool was nice to have after a hot day of trekking around. Everything was spotlessly clean and the bed was comfortable. The staff was very pleasant and helpful. The hotel is very conveniently located on a pretty street close to the central square and walkable to the bus station.
7.5 Good
Pros: nice breakfast, fresh coffee and juice and baked eggs
Cons: The TV in the room only supports internet TV, no distribution.
9.5 Excellent
Pros: Atmospheric historical house with great style in a tranquil but central location. Simple but charming.
9.3 Excellent
Pros: Small and very stylish hotel in a historic building, located in centre of Valladolid five minutes on foot from the bus terminal. Very big and quiet room with large and very comfortable bed, very good shower.
Cons: Nothing.
9.5 Excellent
Pros: We stayed four nights at the one-bedroom suite, which was very comfortable. The rooms are located around a nice little pool. Very pleasant place to stay!
Cons: The breakfast was not too exiting.
8.3 Excellent
Pros: Wonderfully decorated historic guesthouse perfectly located, with spacious room, lovely tiled shower, and good a/c. Nice--and also wonderfully rustically decorated--areas to hang outside of your room.
Cons: Perhaps one of the most uncomfortable beds I have every slept on in my entire life. Hard and lumpy. That factor alone would keep me from staying there again or recommending, Despite having eight guestrooms, there were only two loungers by the pool.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: The staff wad very helpful; walking distance to the town. We were allowed to keep our car parked there even after checked out.
Cons: Nothing really; we stayed 1 night & everything was very pleasant.

Pros: Luis is a fantastic host. He is very very kind, funny and really helpful. Gave us a lot of good tips about where and when to go. The bungalow is very simples. Beds and a bathroom outside the room. The mosquitos are all over, but he has very good ways of preventing them to bother you. The breakfast as amazing, with freshly squeezed orange juice, freshly ground coffee, season fruits just collected from the pomar in front of your room. Experience was very nice! Highly recommend it!

Casa Valladolid Boutique Hotel - Valladolid

8.9 Excellent (2,030 reviews)
Overview Reviews
With a stay at Casa Valladolid Boutique Hotel in Valladolid, you'll be within a 15-minute walk of Cenote Zaci and Cathedral of San Gervasio. Featured amenities include a 24-hour front desk, luggage storage, and a safe deposit box at the front desk.
8.0 Excellent
Pros: Great location, just a couple of streets from the bus terminal and from the local buses that go to Chichen Itzá. Spacious, quiet rooms around a pleasant courtyard. We knew that the included breakfast was minimal (juice, coffee, fruit, toast) but it was abundant and absolutely fine. Little café across the street is great and does fresh juices, homemade empanadas and veggie burgers (can't remember the name but it begins with an M!).
Cons: Lots of mosquitoes and the hotel didn't have any plug-in burners, which they could easily have invested in. Pool water looked a bit too murky to be inviting.
8.8 Excellent
Pros: Beautiful inner courtyard with eating area and pool and large rooms.
Cons: Breakfast might have had more options.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Friendly staff, great location and most importantly the hotel itself is really beautiful! Loved every corner!
10.0 Excellent
Pros: The place is like a little hidden paradise. We had an amazing room which was incredible clean and with an amazing view on the garden and small pool. The breakfast is really tasty and the staff more than friendly. There is nothing we didn‘t like about the hotel. Just go there and enjoy your time
Cons: Nothing. Absolutely everything was perfect!
8.8 Excellent
Pros: Everything except the pool
Cons: Water in the pool was rather murky
7.5 Good
Pros: The garden and the room style
Cons: The pool not atractive and towels should be renew with better ones
5.5 Okay
Pros: Location was good. Staff also was good
Cons: Room allocated inside the Restaurant terrace and old fashioned room
8.0 Excellent
Pros: Location - very close to the main square. Helpful staff - the lady who welcomed us recommended a great restaurant nearby. Wifi.
Cons: Pool seemed dirty (in the afternoon / it was clean next morning when we left the hotel). Room furniture seemed a bit old. We just spent one night - no regrets!
9.5 Excellent
Pros: Clean, comfortable rooms. Close to the center but quiet. Nice pool.
Cons: Pathetic breakfast
9.5 Excellent
Pros: Really enjoyed stay in Valladolid. The hotel was great location for that. The staff were lovely and really helpful. The rooms are clean, and basic. It's fine for a family stay, but I think its more of a quiet couple's retreat. That's more the vibe of the place, though, in fairness nothing was ever said, and staff were always welcoming. It is in central area. Ten minutes walk to centre.
Cons: When we returned one eveningdoor to our room, it had been left open by cleaners. Accidents happen, its no big deal, but...all our passports etc in there.

8.9 Excellent (1,520 reviews)
Overview Reviews
Located in Chichen Itza, Hotel Okaan is in a rural location, a 3-minute drive from Cenote Ik kil and 13 minutes from Pyramid of Kukulkan. Featured amenities include dry cleaning/laundry services, a 24-hour front desk, and luggage storage. Free self parking is available onsite.
7.7 Good
Pros: I cannot think of another place like this. From the rooftop in the morning, you are above the treeline and can see such a variety of birds. In a remote location like this, the possibility of seeing more rare/uncommon species is much more likely. Having a rooftop perch allows you a comfortable vantage more often found in observation towers in national parks where you're unlikely to be able to stay as long as you like. Nighttime as well is incredible, being so far from cities like Cancun, the stars are so plainly visible. Breakfast was very good, service were all very friendly. Location so close to Chichen itza was perfect, we were leaving just as the first tourist buses arrived and I believe we didn't get there until 9am or later. When you go to Chichen Itza do buy a bottle of water as you go in, they are not sold within the park.
Cons: The room was hot when we arrived, as to preserve energy the AC is not left on while the rooms are unused. Personally this was not at all a drawback, merely to be expected, but if you are not someone ok with spiders etc I think it may not be as enjoyable. It is the jungle after all. It is a VERY long drive if coming from Cancun Int'l airport as we were. This was not a reflection on the hotel, just something to be aware of. Had we to do it over again we would have been sure to leave earlier in the day and take time to hit a restaurant and bank in the city before departing. It was a bit disorienting driving these roads with very few exits at night. You MUST get pesos before heading out as there is nothing between the airport and the toll collection point. We got by trading dollars for pesos with a passing car, but this was again our error, something helpful to know in advance for other travellers! The lagoon behind the hotel was being serviced and was empty at the time we visited. No matter, it did not take away from the beauty of the location. Beds were just ok, rather hard, but when you're out and active all day you sleep so deep it really doesn't matter.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: If you are looking to shut off from the world in luxury, this is the place! I would stay 100 more times if I could. What a magical experience!

Pros: After a hot day walking around Chichen Itza, to come back and relax in the little oasis with a pool was amazing! Great bbq chicken right outside the hotel and friendly staff! Room was exceptionally cleaned and AC was a dream :)
Cons: Nothing! Was exactly what we needed!
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Amazing place & super friendly people :) a lot of value for small money, the rooms looked like they were from a much pricier hotel. We were allowed to stay at the pool after our check-out to fill the time until our bus left, thanks for that!
Cons: -
9.5 Excellent
Pros: Super comfy bed and great air conditioning. The rooms are set around a lovely shady garden with a nice pool. High end fittings in the bathroom and powerful shower.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: We stayed here for one night, wish we could have stayed more. The room was very comfortable and big. The staff was super accommodating. We arrived very late in the night but still got taken care of. We had a language barrier but still the staff was friendly enough to make us feel welcome.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: This was a surprisingly nice hotel for the price. Clean. Good wifi. The convenient store next door was nice to have. We could see our car parked in the secure lot from our room. Limited English but it should be expected.
9.5 Excellent
Pros: La Casa de las Lunas is in the little town of Piste and is walkable (but very hot) to Chichen Itza. It worked out perfectly to stay here and get to the ruins early to avoid the heat and the tour bus crowds. The complex at the hotel is amazing and is like a mini jungle with amazing plants, trees, and flowers. They keep it up nicely and there was always someone working outside in the garden or on the pool.
Cons: The door to the room is a sliding glass door and there are no windows in the room. Therefore, my options at night were to sleep with the sliding door open or use the AC.
9.5 Excellent
Pros: Close to chicken Itza, 50 peso taxi to get you there. 80 peso to get you to cenote il lk. Clean room with pool view. Reception is helpful in calling taxi for us to place nearby. OXXO next door.
Cons: Ado bus terminal is next to chicken itza entrance, so you need to take 50 peso taxi to get there from hotel, or from there to the hotel.
9.3 Excellent
Pros: It's close to the main attractions
Cons: They charge extra 5% because I paid with credit card. I asked for late checkout of 4 hours and they wanted high sum of money so I gave up
8.8 Excellent
Pros: The location right next to the pyramids, the style inside is nice. Great beds!
Cons: The entrance is so ugly that it gives a sketchy first impression. Once inside it’s nice though!
9.5 Excellent
Pros: The property manager was very accommodating. Gave us good information/directions to attractions in the area. Was accommodating of our late arrival and provided offsite valet parking free of charge.

Cons: We couldn't swim in the pool because they were working in it.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Best place I stayed my whole trip. The room was clean and perfect for the two of us. I read some comment about the bathrooms being small but that is people being difficult I think. The staff were so friendly and helpful. It doesn't say anything about breakfast being included, but they have toast, cereal and tea and coffee. The pool is very clean. Oh and perfect location!
Cons: Nothing.
