Excellant location and view, nice breakfast. Bed was too hard, not comfortable.
the reconstriction of hotel, especialy facilities old refuniture, the price very expensive
The staff was very friendly particularly the cleaninging staff, as well as the staff at the morning breakfast. I found overall t was a good experience staying here. My wife and our two girls stayed there in 1981 as well and brought some good memories from the past.
Locatiom run down and old
The breakfast was pretty good and the lobby was a good space for using our laptop. The quilts were too hot the bathrooms were small the hotel is dated and needs an upgrade
Excellent location, near all the main attractions. The rooms don't have wireless internet and the hotel itself is getting old.
The excellent view from the room and the ideal location of the hotel
The breakfast Nothing
hotel rooms are old and smelly, the carpet was sticky and the bathroom smelled like a mens public toilet - terrible.
value for money for families with young children. rooms are in need of renovation.
breakfast room is very small & TV - old-fashioned
A very comfotrtable hotel with excellent views and very helpful staff.
We enjoyed the hotel
Very good room, very good breakfast, great view! Nothing, all ok
The hotel is located in good location the room was clean and the staff friendly. however the room was a simple 2 star hotel room. I was very disappointed. because for such a room the price was extremely high.
Excellent breakfasts, very clean, great pool, amazing views. Very very small beds and rooms and few commodities in the room, considering the price.
Honestly nothing about the hotel other than location overlooking Haifa proper and the Mediteranian Stayed in rooms 1212 and 1210. Furniture old, scratched..etc. Dull hotel. Carpets looked dirty and rooms smelled bad. I think hotel reflects very poor value for money.
The location by the beach was nice. The room was a spacious suite. The beach was nice. The hotel is very tired and needs a renovation. The smell in the lobby and hallways of some disinfectant was horrible. The cleanliness was lacking. The dining room looks like it is from the 50s.During our stay the TV did not work and could not be fixed due to holidays. You could not get a coffee with your dinner. The surrounding area was littered and needed cleanup and sweeping.
The only hotel in Haifa located right on the beach. Very quite room (may be because the hotel was quite empty during our stay, but still). Exellent sea view from the room, good breakfast, helpful stuff. Free undeground parking. Very quite area, nothing but the waves of the sea could be heard from the room at night. The hotel is rather far from the city center with restaurants, bars, tourist sites, etc. However we have had a car with us, so that did not bother us. If you are looking for true 4-stars hotel, this will not be your choice, the room was good and clean, however it definitely requires some renovation. We have stayed by a special offer - 4 nights for a price of 3, that was OK for me, the regular price of $200 per night seems a bit overpriced.
The see and the beach Oldfashion bathroom
The view Poor service, low hygiene - dirty, bad & unfreshed food.
business lounge was very good;wifi rather weak. elevators long waiing time ; staff using extensively elevators without reagrds for the guests
Staff were good The description was misleading. It's a hotel for large families on a budget. Cheap food, sparse 'east clean' rooms with old furniture.
Apartment very confortable with look to the sea, good breakfast and a good lokation to go to all citys around. I didn't used the swimming pool and fitness instalations.
The pool is very good.
Only Sea View. .. Service is not good enough, including the staff competencies, bath room and breakfast restaurant were dirty, delivery of the luggage from the room to the reception (when we checked out) took around 45 minutes... and we have been obliged to go back to the room, as nobody was in charge of it. Food was not at standard 4 stars hotel level (any fruits juices , any fresh fruits, but a lot of various salty meals for a breakfast.)Any direct access to a beach (as indicated in the hotel description). Hotel needs a general service improvement and refreshment!
The indoor pool is excellent The telephone in the room did not work most of the time (out of six days)
The hotel is not 5 star. By usa standards, it is 3 star. The hallways were not air conditioned, so you step out into a Sauna in the hallway. In general, the appearance of the room was closer to 3 star than 5. Compared to other overpriced hotels in Haifa, I suppose it was still an ok deal. Service was slow to arrive when asked for.
excellent cuisine relaxing environment no
The hotel was so relaxing! Loved the treatments and all the food. The service was really good as well.
i like very much the Spa the swimmingpool and the food
It is quiet and luxurious and designed for those having spa treatments, but with many other activities and great food.
The Spa lived up to expectations which were high. Staff are warm, smiley and polite, the location is excellent for rest and relaxation and the food is excellent
Excellent hotel, excellent spa, no kids and gourmet cooking, what more could one ask for .................
In addition to all the spag treatments, the hotel is set in the middle of the Carmel Forest with a view of the seai in the distance. The outdoor pool is well heated and large with plenty of lounges and beds outside on the lawn. They recommended signing up for treatments before arrival but never answered phone and did not answer message left on machine.
the peace and quite is incredible !!
This is a great place - setting is spectacular, facilities are great, activities are varied and nicely done. The whole experience --- almost --- was amazing, and probably a good value despite the very high price (nearly $500 USD for 2 per night, full board). The food was great, nicely presented, good service for the most part, and lots of it. You will not lose weight here. There were some surprises: For one -- drink charges at the meals and lack of coffee or tea with lunch and dinner. I may be the only person in the world who likes my dessert with coffee or tea, but you can't get it here. You have to leave the restaurant and get your coffee in the lobby, one level up, after your meal. Just strange, and a bit annoying. Also, the waiters ask you what you want to drink but do not tell you that a lot of the beverages (like a simple coke or mineral water) are not included in the "full board." So, after you order, get served, and begin drinking, they come with a receipt to sign!!! When I complained, they basically said "tough luck." Strange.
Ambiance of the hotel.I have stayed at the hotel on several previous trips to Israel and I recommended it to others. I felt hotel was overbooked for the staff it had. The Dinner hours became problematic with seating. The staff seemed to be in a hurry to clear the tables.Certainly very different form my other previous visits to the Spa.I had with me 4 other guests from Canada, who checked out early!! Too bad.
The hotel staff is friendly and helpful; this is a step up front usual Israeli hotel staff many of which do not understand the concept of customer service. Israeli hotels, especially outside of Tel Aviv are still grappling with this concept. Same for retail and food stores. Unfortunately, Israel is great at building things but very poor at maintaining them. The Crowne Plaza is typical was built but 15 years ago and is already starting to look shoddy around the edges. We noticed that mold is starting to appear, especially in the bathrooms, and the wood trim is beginning to rot away; Haifa can be quite humid during certain times of the year. Also, the hotels A/C is either on or off, no temperature settings other than 4 settings indicating warmer or colder; after that is just stays on blowing. Friends of ours stayed at a competing Dan hotel, but the situation is the same. They characterized it as a "tired" Hyatt.
Absolutely amazing facilities, kind staff, great location, great value for the money! I stayed in the 'unicorn room'- the one with the blue lights- and loved evey moment. The shower might just have been the best part of the amenities (youll have to stay to see...). AMAZING complimentary breakfast provided through a voucher with an adjacent resteraunt. Top notch all the way!! Also, the location in Haifa COULD NOT have been better, right at the foot of the Baha'i Gardens! I liked it all. No complaints whatsoever.
This was the best hotel of our stay in Israel.
Spa like, country style room with modern conveniences
Quality small boutique hotel in good Haifa location
I liked the location and the personal touch of the team.
Location, wife and I walked to Bahai Gardens, rooftop jaccuzzi and food quality; No Local beers!
Our room was lovely and the service, food and attention was faublous.
Breakfast included was lavish and tasty and served with warmth in a wonderful open garden room/cafe style. The wallpaper was black with some white flowers - nice but a bit too dark for our taste. The bathroom too, was black which although the lighting was good, it was a dreary feeling. Bathtub had jacuzzi which we do not like, and very narrow, so larger people would have trouble standing in it to shower!
Attentive staff. Nice to be in a smaller, boutique hotel with amenities.
Friendly and efficient staff. Charming atmosphere. The room was nice but a bit small, especially the bath, but for a simple stop en route north it was satisfactory.
Very nice hotel, good breakfast and restaurant. Hotel did not have bar/sitting area. Only central space was the restaurant. However, this is a guest house, not a hotel so that is not such a surprise.
Beautiful architecture, friendly staff, tasty & varied breakfast, central location
clean, modern, great staff, great breakfast buffet and awesome location. It was the best place we could have stayed. Maid service was a little spotty. They didn't replace coffee in our room.
breakfast fickle Internet
Great Quality, Location, friendly staff..a perfect experience More parking places would be of advantage and travel directions from website should have default settings as Airport Ben Gurion to Haifa is difficult if e.g. airport address is not known.
the best location in Haifa, it is a walking distance from the Bahai' Gardens and close to the bus stops. I would recommend it for all type of travellers. None
Room are clean and well equiped. Hotel is placed on an animated street and close to the Carmel garden. Staff is invisible ...
Excellent location, steps from Bahai Gardens, several restaurants on the same street, the hotel has its own parking, very clean, very good breakfast, free internet They charge for the calls made using the calling card. This was the only hotel out of four we stayed in Israel where we were charged for calls using calling card. I would understand charges if we called without calling card, but charging us when we called using the calling card it is not fare.
The hotel was located in a very nice area and had amenities of a very high Western standard
the elevator works consistently and a female voice announces floors and door openings and closings in a pleasant British accent my room had an old fashioned tub (okay) but no full fledged shower
the bathtub was awesome. the room was clean and comfortable the staff was very helpful. breakfast was very good.
Highly recommended! European-style family hotel. The view from the breakfast terrace is incredible - we had a relaxing 2 hour breakfast overlooking the seacoast with gentle harp music piped in the background, the staff was very friendly and helpful, the rooms were simple but spacious and comfortable and breakfast was fresh and delicious. The reception closes at 9:30 pm and is replaced by a combination lock, so contact them in advance if you plan to check in late at night. We didn't mind, but there are steps up to the hotel and also inside - so not for the the physically-challenged. There were families with strollers who seemed fine with it.
It was interesting to somewhere used by 'locals' instead of an 'International Nothing' Hotel. Position was good for visiting the town and Caeasaria if one has a car. View was super. It was certainly a 'change'- and, for all its faults- we enjoyed our stay. Quite a nice and very acceptable breakfast. Steps!!!!! Up to the Hotel itself, up to our room on the third floor- they were helpful carrying bags but, in the heat.... no joke.... they need elevators desperately. The room was very spartan and a small. Its a small town and, as the Hotel was a couple of kilometres from the centre- dead at night and a bit hard t find.
Breakfast was beautifully served and complete. Room was very clean. We enjoyed the hot tub.
The food in the dining room was excellent although overpriced. The hotel has no elevator so we had to climb, with heavy suitcases, 2 floors from the road to the front desk and another 3 full flights to the room! Not the kind of adventure you will enjoy. Five flights everytime we needed something from the car or left the hotel for meals. The shower had no lip to prevent water from flooding the entire bathroom, very tight fit in the bathroom. No tub. No clean towels on second day. Ants were marching all over the bathroom and maybe more. No microwave. Breakfast was the usual Israeli salads and yogurt. Internet in hotel cost outrageous but there is a free internet cafe in town.
The location. Some of the staff were very nice, some a little less so
The proximity of the Hotel to the sites we wanted to see. They were in walking distance. We must take this opportunity to thank Danny and Nesrean. They were so helpful with check in and out. Directed us to one the best restaurant we have been to in a long time. They went above and beyond when it came to personalized customer service. These two people made our stay in Haifa a wonderful experience. My wife and I liked the Hotel. No negative experiences.
Did not like the traffic noise from our room and the parking lot was very awkward and not easy to maneuver. Also had to ask for extra pillow.
I loved the jacuzzi in the bathroom, and the huge wrap around balcony/terrace. I did not like how we were not allowed to have guests come up to our room. The hotel staff was very nice to us, however extremely rude to our guests.
how competent and nice the reception desk lady Nasreen was! There was a registration error in the system and I found myself with 2 bookings the same night. she solved this problem and some similar ones the romm has not been claened after the first night
Accomodated us to other rooms when we complained a lot. Free internet Wi Fi in rooms. When we got a decent room the bed were firm. Very dirty rooms, towels smelled like fish and dirty, very small room.Very noisy and difficult to sleep due to hotel stall and dining facility. Hotel overbooked. Construction all night in the stree. Some of the staff were not that helpfull others were very helfull. Tried to put us in a roon with two kids soft springy beds until complained and moved us to a suite. Had to change room the first 3 days, difficult to unpack. We ended cutting our business trip short at Haifa and relocated to Tel Aviv which was a great decision to move out.
Leaving The staff were rude, the beds were hard and small and overridingly the location was ugly, loud, intimidating and un pleasant.
The very bad hotel all
- pretty central location if you are looking for the usual spots (Bahai Gardens in walkable distance) - nice view on the harbor from many of the rooms and from the roof - VERY friendly and helpful staff - Rooms were comfortable and clean - bus stops with lots of lines nearby, so I guess you will be able to get around easily (if you rely on public transport). Intercity bus stop just 5 stations away. - have been happy with the choice overall and would recommend it to others - squeezy parking, not for claustrophobic cars or drivers with a tendency to bump into stuff... - in a busy neighborhood. So if you are looking for a quiet, garden-style setting, this is not the one.
I enjoyed the different artists' work that was represented on each floor. The layout on each floor was enjoyable as was my room though it was on the small side I checked in at 4:00pm and my room had not been made up yet. The cleanliness of the bathroom was not sufficient though I did not complain. (There was still hair in the bath tub from the previous guest). The WiFi signal did not work in my room. I had to connect to the internet through another signal.
Website deceiving as to accommodations. Jacuzzi quoted for rooms but only in suites. Very expensive for hotel quality. Parking lot ridiculously small.
the desk staff were very nice and very helpful. The breakfast was very good. I had dinner one night and there was more food than I could eat.
