We had a great stay and the king suite was amazing!
Gorgeous place, lovely staff. Very relaxed, open feel. Lots for kids to do but as a couple we had a lovely, romantic time too :)
Location, pool, spacious room. We wish Kemah Boardwalk had more things open until 9 pm on Thursday in early November. This was not something the hotel can change, just an observation.
My girlfriend and I decided last minute to make a trip to the Kemah Boardwalk while I was visiting her. We arrived the Monday after Spring Break and essentially had the whole area to ourselves. It was perfect timing for a little getaway. The hotel was great, very sweet and friendly staff. The room overlooked the water with a cute little balcony. It had a decent sized tub and shower. The decor was nautical yellows and blues. Very quaint but not cheesy. Just very nicely done. I would absolutely stay there again. 8/10 No fridge in the room. We stayed on a week night so everything closed around 9, but we didn't have to fight any crowds. It is noisy because of the attractions but not terrible.
Room was clean and comfortable. Employees were friendly.
The location was excellent. I enjoyed being able to walk to shops, restaurants and the boardwalk. The hotel was clean and beds were comfortable. Parking was free for hotel guests. Room stayed nice and cool. Enjoyed having a mini fridge in the room. It enabled us to be able to take cold water with us, much needed on hot afternoons, and because water in most vending machines and at the boardwalk is $3.00 each. Walk-in shower was nice, however, the water pressure was not adequate. Staff was mediocre. Meaning they were somewhat professional and took care of requests in a timely manner, but lacking in hospitality. Never asked how our stay was or really seemed interested. I had booked via booking website. I reserved and paid for a spacious double queen room because we were needing a roll away bed for our 5-year old. We were given the standard double queen room and the hotel does not have roll away beds at all, as stated on the website. We had to purchase an air bed from WalMart. Hotel rate was overpriced, in my opinion. The small, outdoor pool has no shady area and only 1 umbrella. Not great when you've already been in the Texas sun all day. My husband left the room key on the table while swimming with our son and someone took it.
The room was spacious and beautifully decorated. I didn't like that you didn't have enough staff in the middle of the night. I believe that there should never be a 15 min wait for someone to help you check in. I understand that my boyfriend and I checked in late but we waited for thirty minutes until someone could help us. Luckily enough the gentleman that checked us in was curterious and we could tell that he was being split between three different areas. If we hadn't paid already, we would have left.
My two sisters and I were there for a birthday celebration with our families. One rooms had fleas and after being there for 2 hours were no more rooms available so they left and and went back home. That was so heart breaking, because the front desk guy told her that animals were in the \nroom before possibly so why not offer a voucher in good faith for another time nothing was done. The bed had fleas they had true bed bug bites you could see.
me and a friend had read the reviews on this place. and thought why not give them a try. i am so glad we did. we had a great stay from check in to check out. The staff was very friendly and very helpful. As we have never been here before. Wanted to know what there was to see and do. the rooms are very clean, the beds great. i will be telling my friends to stay here.
I stay here at the passport Inn on a regular basis. The hotel is clean and comfortable. I am pleased with the staff service and they treat me good. The money paid is the right price for the area. It is an enjoyable place to stay right on the marina at the Kemah Boardwalk. I reccomend this place to anyone.
The hotel is nice. The carpets looked and felt new to us. Very cushioned when you walk. The beds were comfortable. The sunrise was beautiful over looking the marina. We thouroughly enjoyed that. The area is very nice. A little noisy from all the traffic up to about 10 pm but then just perfect. There seems to be several things to do in the area. The clerks were very friendly to us and helpful in finding somewhere to go and eat. We had some of the best sea food while there. I don't know what sort of air condition unit that was but man it got so cold in the room we almost froze. I should of looked so I could get one for my home. We thouroughly enjoyed the stay and our friends did too. We just wish that they had some sort of deck or somthing where you could sit outside at night and enjoy the company of your friends. That was our only complaint. Everything was absolutely wonderful.
We visited kemah from hot springs arkansas and had previledge of staying in Passport inn and suites in boardwalk area. The hotel was a great bargain being in kemah boardwalk area. We did not have hotel reservation so we looked around for a hotel near kemah boardwalk. It was amazing that we found room at passport inn for less than half the cost that we could have paid at boardwalk inn. Room we stayed in was clean, comfortable and a/c worked real well. Room had a fresh coat of paint and looked very nice with accent color coated wall and had new carpet. We were very pleased with the room and enjoyed the savings on the room cost. We stayed 2 nights though we had planned for one night only.Passport inn is in the midst of all activities and eating places in kemah. Kemah is a great family fun place with lots of activities for kids and great eating places for every body. we thoroughly enjoyed our visit and certainly will be back here and stay in Passport inn again. the hotel staff was very friendly and courteous and helped us with area info and gave us extra pillows and towels with smile.Considering the location, ammenities and the low price of the rooms Passport inn is certainly the best kept secret of this area if you are planning to stay in the Boardwalk area without paying boardwalk's price. Boardwalk is in very short walking distance. Hot springs, Arkansas. Aug 8, 09
Our room was dirty - carpet, linens, tub, etc and the air did not work. We spent our time in the room dousing ourselves with hand sanitizer. Thank goodness we had our own pillows and that we paid a much lower price by going thru online travel website or I would be even more upset! To be as close as it is to the Boardwalk, I expected much more than we got.
This room was dirty. There were iron burns on the floor, the tub was moldy, there was a wine cork on the floor, an open shampoo bottle in the bathroom, and it smelled. When the staff was asked about it, they said it was the only available room and we could ''take it or leave it''. We'll leave it next time.
My sister and I were very disappointed in this facility. It lacked all the standard amenities that you would find in a comparably priced motel/hotel, like hair dryer, remote control, etc. The floor of the room was lumpy. The walls were dirty. Her bed had a bad squeak and made a nose whenever she moved. Fridge not cleaned out. This is definitely a place that if you saw the room first, you would decide not to stay the night. With a 2 day advance cancellation or you're charged for a night, obviously, you don't have that luxury. The door did not close well and the room smelled musty. I definitely will not stay here again.
The hotel is adjacent to the boardwalk and all activities just around the street corner. We really enjoyed the Sting Ray Reef. The staff here have been great, polite, courteous, and helpful. They've reccomended great dining places for us. The rooms are clean, comfortable and fresh. I really enjoyed this stay here. We enjoyed getting up to watch the sunrise and see the boats moving about. Our room was directly across from the docks.
We've stayed in this hotel about two years ago. Wow they have really done some work on the place. The walls are painted very nice and they have an elegant blue colred wall. It looks so nice. New furniture and carpet to boot. I was surprised and the breakfast was nice too. We had to put the air condition on low it was so cold. Even then we still had to ask for an extra blanket. The room was clean and comfortable, we couldn't have had a better time. We'd asked about a bowling alley close by some friends had told us about. We were promptly given a sheet with restaurants, bowling, churches and activities to see in the area. This hotel is so close to everything to do in Kemah and you can walk almost everywhere.
Room was very clean, but several holes in carpet. Fabric tearing off along the box springs. TV was not secured to the swivel tray, so I had to be careful when adjusting it. It almost fell off of the dresser. The couch was okay, but the two chairs were very cheap and uncomfortable. Both desk clerks I encountered were extremely courteous and helpful. Having read other reviews I was somewhat apprehensive about using this hotel, but I have to admit that overall it wasn't that bad. The location is excellent. You can see the Boardwalk fireworks from the hotel. The price was okay too. But there are several Bed & Breakfasts nearby, and probably next time we'll go that route.
This night that we stayed at this motel it was 40 degrees and the room was not equipped with a heater.
