The location of the hotel is great - near Bonn and Ahr wine area. Close connection to the Spa is convenient. We do appreciate the lovely breakfast of the hotel. We didn't remember to order specially non smoking room (hardly ever nowadays you will get the room / the whole floor smelling tobacco in this grade of hotel) and the smell was recognisable. The hotel is a bit pricey for staying overnight. For elderly persons the hotel would be a perfect match with a lot of arranged programme with the nice price.
Lovely town and surrounding area and helpfull staff geared up for the older clientele
The staff was exceptionally friendly and spoke English fluently. The hotel went the extra mile with a welcome package of bottle of local wine, fresh fruits and muffin. The restaurant dinner buffet was superb. The spa seervices seemed disconnected from the hotel proper and it was difficult to find out information about them as well as about other related activities going on in the area.
Its a beautiful building and the spa is wonderful The rooms are small and out dated. More like a 2 star not a 5 star
Position was excellent across pedestrian bridge into town centre. Has sanatorium facilities in the building for those who enjoy such things. Not really geared to passing trade. Car parking is sufficiently far to get soaked in the rain. Charges for internet are outrageous.

Excellent location, nicest area of Bad Neuenahr Friendliness of the staff, very helpfull and knowledgable Breakfast buffet Warm pool, excellent for relaxation after a bike tour along the Ahr Definitely not a 5 star room and bathroom, outdated with obvious signs of wear, lack of basic amenities you would expect from a 5 star hotel Small and hot room
Hotel parking space limited. Access to public parking a short walk away.
The accomodation is excellent, location is beautiful , quiet, but also so convenient for the race track . Nothing to dislike.
This is a brand new holiday park, and, although still being finished, the accommodation was excellent and of a high quality. We have been to this area on many occasions and just wanted the house as a base, so the fact that the park wasn't finished didn't matter to us. It looks as though it will be very plush when completely finished. There weren't any!
Quality and location None
Clean. well designed. excellent facilities. friendly and efficient staff. great location None!
The facilities within the house were very good. I would like to see what the other amenities are like when they are finally constructed None
Great place to live when visiting Nürburgring. Clean, spacious and luxurious accommodation build recently.
Convenient, friendly, spotless
Good quality rooms, helpful staff
the complex was brand new and a very high standard. the location was perfect for where we were going and the staff were very helpful
Sight from the balcony. I thick it'll be better to provide WLAN-Internet as free-of-charge, I can say that it's a standart in the such-level hotels in Deutschland. It's better when I don't care about buying some cards and then thinking about how to use it entirely.
Location and hotel style. A little pricey for what is starting to become a little dated.
An excellent hotel with excellent facilities. Recommended. Nothing.
Superb location for car fans. Spotlessy clean.just needs a smoking ban in the bar. Only bad thing See above
Location is fantastic on the Nurburgring track start line. Some smell in the rooms and we missed tea/coffee maker in the rooms
Loved been next to the Nurburgring race track It was very quiet there, not many guests
The buffet breakfast is fantastic only bettered by the rack of lamb in the evening.
The best thing about this hotel is its location, on two race tracks, the hotel forms part of the grandstand, so excellent views. It is like a motoring museum, also clean and comfortable, great food, helpful friendly staff who always make you feel welcome. The 'Pitstop' bar is fab. The pool is nice too. Great base for a driving holiday.
Great motor themed hotel and fantastic location to explore the nurburgring. Friendly staff, lovely comfortable rooms, lovely welcome plate of goodies which was very appreciated.
Excellent food and good value. It was very hot in the communal areas.
Quality of food, location Size of Bath Towels very small
Very clean, looks new to me. Nicely located for those coming to the Nurbruing race track. The hotel restaurant glass was dirty and I have to send them back for clean ones
Excellent room, Excellent breakfast buffet (included in the rate), Very polite and helpful staff and great view from my room overlooking the Eifel country side. Only thing I could think of was the unstable Wireless connection, but maybe that's because the hotel is still brand new and they were getting ready for the Formula 1 event at Nurburgring.
Breakfast - Excellent although service a little slow, however that can be down to the hotel being very new. A double room features 2 single beds (mattresses) pushed together
The Hotel is separate from the other hotels which makes it a lot more quite during the night. Luxurious room with a good quality bed (Junior Suite). Dinner and breakfast are good. Staff is excellent and professional. No view on the race track, at least not as standard.
Beautiful new hotel, which I would class as 5 star.we ate in the restaurant and would say it was one of the best meals I have had.
In line with my previous visit to the Lindner Hotel, the service was great, as well as the hotel room and the facilities. Two minor items: Unfortunatelly room 401 is under the stone floor of the 5th floor on which high heals are heard clearly. Also the argentinian steak was not as tender as experienced during my last visit so not a continuously high level of performance from the kitchen.
New one There is no bath tub
The hotel is a new hotel although i dont' think it's managed to get itself any identity, the decor is modern (business) hotel with a token race car in the reception. There is no atmosphere whatso ever and if you'r not goin on business don't stay here. I'd also say that the rooms are generous in proportion and well equipt. the beds are comfortable although the shower although looked the part had no pressure at all. i did not like that when i turned up i was told if i needed help with my bags the trolley was outside and i had to go and get it myself and take the bags to my room myself. (not good when you're paying upward of £250.00 per night. The hotel bar had only local motorsport press and the usual corporate types in there, no music and unfortunatly no atmosphere. The davidoff barr (cigar bar) was equilly bad. The rooms were clean but if you are not here racing and simply uising the hotel as a Base i'd reccomend going elsewhere.
There is no kettle to boild water in the room. This means to ask a cup of coffe for room sevice and spent a lot of money. 19 euro for one pot of coffe!
friendley staff and fantastic food
The location was such as to be able to walk into the town without any problem but not too close to any noisy distractions or busy areas. A great mix of Restaurants are within easy walking distance if you don't eat at the Hotel. The staff are excellently well presented and very helpful, the breakfast is good and leisure facilities are ready on site straight away. The secure undercover parking is also a very welcome asset.
Location was excellent and great variety for breakfast.
easy parking, good breakfast, friendly staff, nice quit room, easy access to nature but also to highway
a pleasant and wonderful atmosphere. everything was fine.
Very plush and comfortable Staff were disinterested to learn that one of my party (my brother-in-law) had recently died and wouldn't be joining us. Their response: "You can't have a refund"! Also, we found it impossible to reserve a table for our evening meal. We tried for three nights and couldn't succeed.
All excellent. Staff all very friendly and did their very best to understand our requirements (in English) and do what they can. Bar Man very good and service excellent. Nice touches with the baby (wont spoil the surprises!!)
Good welcome; comfortable and very clean room. Staff very helpful. Breakfast good. Airco quiet. Wonderful location and views. Hotel follows the landscape and is unobtrusive and well thought-out (even though you have to get used to the layout).
Excellent quality of room.
Location near the center of town. Staff did have some knowledge of English, although the patrons are almost all Germans. No.
friendly staff, good kitchen, good breakfast a little difficult parking
We loved the position of the hotel and the view from our room. We wish there was information leaflets about your hotel facilities available in English. We came to attend the GregoR Lersch floristry demonstration and chose your hotel because your website had booking details in English but there was no information available in English at your hotel. I know that other florists from England would be encouraged to stay at your hotel if more English information was available. A lot of English florists attend the Gregor Lersch event each year.
The friendliness of the staff, the clean swimming pool, the breakfast buffet the average age of the guests was a bit high
Smiling faces of the hotel owners and the staff. very good dinner. Probably a little bit bigger room and looking to the river.
it is a very friendly, family-owned, old world hotel within a short walk of the center of the town. excellent restaurants nearby.
Friendly staff. However, the room had no minibar Yes. My room had no minibar- No good
Great friendly staff. Lovely pool and grounds. Good food. Excellent value for money. Family run feeling. Yummy breakfast with lots of choice. Pretty views, rooms were comfortable and had extra touches like slippers and fluffy bathrobes, bowl of fresh fruit, etc No.
Not speaking German, I found the hotel owners and staff considerate, patient, and somewhat conversant in English, giving me little difficulty in my associations with them. My room was lovely with a stunning view of the town and the grape-vined covered hillsides. Services were exceptional for the price and superior to those comparable to hotels I have frequented in other countries. As I needed to leave very early on my last day, the hotel owner, just beginning her day, stopped what she was doing and provided a light breakfast for me. That was much appreciated. The only shortfall for me personally was the lack of complimentary wifi. I was unable to use my phone for the internet because their wifi service was only by subscription. (They did let me send an email on their office computer - that was nice). But as far as my further ability to communicate by phone or internet, they said I would have to subscribe to TMobile. Even if I had wanted to do that, I couldn't access the Internet to do so! I would suggest that complimentary wifi be part of the services provided to guests. It's become a standard in the modern world and business travelers expect it. As everything else was impeccably presented, this was acutely lacking and frustrating.
Every one of hotel people is wonderful. I felt they looked pleased to serve us a nice service. Nice people, their fine foods & wine without exaggeration and spa reluxed and comforted me very much. nothing!
The location and the helpfulness of the staff The location, whilst beautiful, is remote
The hotels staff is friendly. The bar is in the cellar but nice to have a drink in German atmosphere. The hotel is out-dated. We were just staying here for one night on our way further south, but it is not something I would recommend for a longer stay.
We would like to stay at this hotel again and more than for one night because its location is absolutelly perfect, romantic and comfort for both aim touristic and business. We will recomend this hotel for our friends.
We arrived late, had a very good dinner (fish from the lake) on the terrace and woke up the next morning to enjoy the view of the cathedral and the beautiful surroundings. My husband did not want to leave.
the location in combination with the nature the breakfest could be improved
all round good experience parking was near by but this was known in advance
excellent service , good quality for the money no
Restaurant, the food was excellent! also a good breakfast buffet. Staff very helpfull
Location from the Hotel ist fine nearby City and The Room very Quiet.
Quite, friendly, comfortable, central to our travels Parking
The Sonnenhof was a lovely peaceful hotel, nestled away from the town at the top of a hill. The staff were extremely friendly and helpful and the hotel was very well run, incrediably clean and the standard of food was exceptional. Our weekend away was to visit the Nurburgring which is located approx 5kms from the hotel, making this a great location for exploring the area. The Sonnenhof was very welcoming of us on our motorbike as was the whole area. We will definitely be returning to the Sonnenhof and can't wait for our next visit. We would certainly recommend this hotel to family and friends. Due to the location of the Sonnenhof, it may not be suitable for people with walking difficulties as it is perched at the top of a fairly step hill, albeit fully accessable by road.
Friendly and kind communication. Good food. Can relax when staying. Would like to stay again.
it was in an ideal location as we were 5 minutes drive away from the nuerburgring, the food was excellent
The views were lovely
Excellent restaurant, beautiful view from window, good room. WiFi internet connection works only near reception and inside the bar.
the hotel was lovely, much better than expected, the room was huge and we were given a choice of 2. we also had our own patio area. We spoke very little german (our fault) and we had a communication problem, there was 1 girl who spoke english which was good but we really struggled eating food in because all the menus were in german! just 1 menu in english would have been useful.
Easy stay, very helpful and accomodating staff. Beautiful balcony view, large spacious and immaculate "comfort room" with excellent bathroom. This is the 2nd hotel I've stayed at in Adenau and will book again if coming back. No bath in bathroom
We both felt at home here, ideally placed for the Nurburg ring, the Staff were excellent, the young lady on reception took endless trouble to find us a Hotel in brussells ,Super treatment,We only had Breakfast there and it was lovely, nice selection and plenty of it,
Friendly, polite staff who took time to talk to guests.Outstandingquality of food.
Nothing negative to say about the hotel, and location was awesome.
Great restaurant and great location in the middle of the German vineyards. Friendly staff.
The hotel was beautifully situated along the Ahr River in the Ahr Valley, surrounded by vineyards. There was easy access to the Rotweinwanderweg - and just an hour from where we live in Dusseldorf! The breakfast buffet was decidedly unimpressive - especially for a 4-star hotel. Croissants were stale, and they made hot chocolate with water instead of milk.
We liked very much the peace and calmness in and around the hotel We did like the vieuw on the river Ahr no
Exellent service and staff We were staying at the Hotel for the 24 hour Nurburgring race. The hotel did not have the dfs television Channel so we could follow the race at the time at the hotel. a lounge in the bar with a television would be a great thing for this!
Beautiful location and great views from room and terrace of vineyards. Lovely restaurant. Nice staff. This was our second visit to hotel. Both bars were manned by one man on a Saturday which left us waiting more than 10 minutes for our wine order which we eventuallygave up on. When we went to restaurant in evening we found out reason, there was a wedding party there and all other staff from hotel were servicing the restaurant. Also would be helpful for an English menu ( only German avaialable) if they are truly trying to encourage foreign tourists. For price, breakfast should be included.
A truly lovely, characterful hotel, if maybe slightly upmarket for a rucksack carrying traveller. The room was lovely with a balcony above the river (ahhh bliss). Great facilities (sauna etc). Not all reception staff spoke English, which in the hotel trade isn't great. Otherwise fine.
Landscape, swimming pool and sauna, the service. the hotel was really beautiful Not many things to do outside.
Very friendly and helpful staff, comfort and quietness of room, location in old centre of Unkel overlooking the Rhine
This is a super hotel in very charming village and beautiful part of Germany. We were very impressed by the decor, all extremely well designed, the colours perfectly matching and the finish was increadible. We travelled around the world for many years but have never before seen a hotel where everything was so perfect and yet so pleasing and homely at the same time. Very impressive indeed and much recommended.
Nice hotel in pretty German town. Beautiful terrace overlooking the Rhine. Comfortable rooms. There was a wedding, which occupied almost the entire hotel. We could not use the terrace. It was not possible to have dinner in the hotel, which had not been told at check-in. The next morning, we were not allowed to have breakfast in the nice restaurant. Instead, we had to move to a cramped room together with the wedding-guests.
It is a lovely situation and the village is really great. Nice for walks along the Rhine. There is a really awesome, family run restaurant n th village where they serve their local wines and cheese and sausage platters. We ate there both nights we were in Unkel. When we checked in the receptionist was not very friendly. Also, when you book, you have to pay in advance and it is not refundable should you have to cancel for any reason.
Good breakfast Problem getting to the hotel by car through Unkel
Friendly, helpfull,and Clean
The very friendly staff and excellent location of hotel The breakfast was to expensive
peace & quiet no information in English & limited breakfast range
Friendly staff. Very comforable beds. Room was a little on the small side and traffic was only a matter of a few feet from the window.
Location of the hotel is great. There is plenty of room for everyone. Bar is very cosy. Egg waiter only there on the weekends although you could still ask for eggs cooked any way you wished.
Restaurant very good with excellent service. Room was rather small with a poor layout. It was however clean and comfortable
There were only 2 twin rooms, the other 2 were doubles, and people had to share beds - not good
food was excellent
very nice hotel quiet the cost of the hotel for bed and breakfast is expensive
A beautiful, peaceful location
location, and peaceful. Nice restaurant, great staff no
location, food and ease of parking.
A breakfast with all you may want. No elevator in a tree floors building, stairs at the entrance, not wheelchair friendly, and a very very hard mattress, and the room was not soundproof from the inside, voices in the hall at two o clock in the night, and doors slamming.
Extremely Clean Hotel, Friendly staff, great breakfast, good location for those arriving by train.
The hotel is facing the Train Station.
closeness to the station, its simplicity, its a small cozy hotel can't remember anything now
I found the hotel to be clean and tidy and the staff were polite and friendly. There was nothing to dislike about the whole experience
Small hotel in the middle of Ahr River wine area.
Hotel was clean and charmingly decorated. Bathroom was large and included a whirlpool bath as well as a shower, and heated floors! The bathroom in the room was down a steep spiral staircase, which was hard on our senior knees, and middle of the night trips to the toilet.
The hotel staff was very friendly. Nothing
Room 12...excellent..spacious, big bathroom..not on the main road
frthe location is very good, the hotel is very clean and the staff is very friendly no
