The design and nice place and view Service not great, small rooms, not worth the price.
Beautiful porch off penthouse. Gorgeous in general, cute little hotel. There was a bird living above the porch pooping on the table and chairs. We moved it and was ok.
Beautiful hotel, tastefully decorated. Staff very obliging. Restaurant of high quality. Will happily stay again...recommend Deluxe room as others might be too small.... Good quality tea should be provided at breakfast. (There is good quality tea behind the bar, but this is charged as an extra. For a quality boutique hotel, the tea served at breakfast should be as good as the coffee, which was excellent!)
I thought the staff were excellent, and where the hotel is situated is perfect for someone visiting Zefat Our room smelt so strongly of furniture polish, it made me feel a little sick and gave me a headache. If I come back I would mention this problem in advance.
Beds were really comfortable and hotel was just lovely. I would have enjoyed a real bar.
Great place, a fantastic experience
Very pleasant staff Not really 5 star facilities, ie. Rooms could be more luxurious, no tissues in rooms, there are many stairs in hotel and grounds, not at all suitable for disabled and small children, espec. In buggies, most 5 star hotels leave small gifts in rooms such as a bottle of water each day or some chocolates, but this hotel did not leave anything; a bottle of water would have been appreciated the most as we had to go down to the dining room each time we needed a glass of water
Location near art galleries Hotel was extremely run down- we were disappointed! we stayed at the hotel years ago- when it was much better.
delicious breakfast and dinner, beautiful view from balcony, nice large room no free internet
Much enjoyed our stay - however visit could have been spoiled by one very rude/off hand member of the Reception Desk team! Room did not have a balcony and the view is now largely blocked by the growth of trees.
Overall, the hotel was aesthetically beautiful offering excellent food. The view is breathtaking and it's location is central to the artist colony, restaurants, and shops. The beds weren't so comfortable and blankets not warm enough to ward off the winter chill. Coffee/tea cups were dirty upon our arrival, as so one of the bathtubs had shampoo grease.
The best was location next to old city. Also tarace with a view to surrounding mountains is marvelous place to finish your day. Not helpful staff. Lot of stairs make your way with luggage complicated.
Large, comfortable room. Location and setting. Hotel staff were unfriendly and unhelpful.
very calm, lovely scenery. A really breathtaking view of the valleys surrounding the Galilee Sea from our terrace. And thumbs up for the nicest staff ever, in particular Gaad !!! no.
It was a beautiful and peaceful boutique hotel. The owner was very friendly, very kind and helpful to us
Graciiousness of the owner - Jean Yves!
I especially liked its luxuriousness, being transported back into the nineteenth century, being surrounded by art, and just the feeling of a special hotel experience that I have not found elsewhere.
Jean Ives, the owner, is an exceptional host. The hotel itself is gorgeous, fabulously located, and extremely private. Breakfast is superb and cooked to order. Walking distance to everything of interest in Safed, and an excellent place from which to explore the Galilee in Israel. nothing at all
Wow! A 1000 year old former Marmeluk Regional Governor's Palace, fully renoivated with 24 hour open bar, amazing breakfast with home baked breads and gigantic suite rooms for $275!
The design and decor is charming, and the owner is extremely hospitable. The location is terific for both the Artists Colony and the old city.
cleanlinss simplicity beauty and good air conditioning lack of kosher food under the safed rabbinate
