The cosy atmosphere, location and friendly staff.
Fantastic location, beautiful village and walks. Red lion pub very cosey with good food. Manor house felt a bit tatty. Room was ok but overall the place had the feeling of a hostel. Communal areas very dated and in need of some decoration and refurbishment. Some of the younger members of staff not very professional or interested. Very bright lighting in bar area which spoilt the ambiance of the place
Fabulous location.Staff very helpfull and polite.Restraunt is very reasonably priced for the quality of the food,.delicious....My wife loves the Molton brown in the bathrooms.A touch of luxury. :O) nope not a thing.
It has character and is not bland and modern
I loved the hotel & location it was very nice & relaxing! I liked everything about my stay
The Food and the location
Very basic accommodation - would not call them luxury rooms Anybody booking through Booking.com are put in the Manor House and if you book direct with the hotel then you are put in the main building but be warned the main building is twice as much as the Manor House and there is very little difference between the rooms!!!!
Being in a different building to the pub was good. Room and ensuite were to small (Room M34). No alarm clock provided. Iron provided but no where to use it. Coffee pot had previous persons coffee in it.
The location of the hotel was ideal for exploring the Dales Way. The staff were very helpful and attentive making the stay extremely relaxing.
The Welcome was second to none,The Breakfast was about the Best i,ve tasted, and the owner goes out of there way to please
What made our stay extra special was John's help in collecting us from Kinsley in his 4 by 4 as we could not get to them in our car due to flash floods
Friendly atmosphere, well decorated, good breakfast, owner welcoming and helpful, lovely location with good walks from the door. I thought the bed was a bit soft
Homely, very friendly owner, made to feel very welcome, very well situated for Southern Yorkshire Dales, excellent home cooking (breakfast). None
Sam is an excellent hostess. Very friendly throughout our stay and pays a lot of attention to the small things that make a difference.
The room was charming and the living room was very comfy. Sam and John are very welcoming hosts and the breakfast was excellent (so much that we did not have to eat until late evening. We are tall and the bed was a double - we had to snuggle whether we wanted to or not! But, we would stay there again because the rest of it was so charming.
we found the the hotel very comfortable and the owners helpful, also pleasant. Breakfast was excellent and we would recommend this hotel to our family and friends.
Our whole experience at this Bed and Breakfast was delightful......but that's exactly what Warren House is, a B and B. Don't expect swimming pools or spas, Sam the owner is brilliant, a real people person. She cooks breakfast in an AGA and it is a complete meal that leaves you feeling well fed for the day. We will certainly be back for yet more short breaks, delightful house, delightful lady and set in a wonderful scenic location.
This is a really wonderful place and it was great staying here. Especially the friendliness of the owners and the outstanding breakfast deserve being mentioned. We certainly intend to come back!
Very welcoming owner who served excellent breakfasts in a relaxed friendly atmosphere in her family home. The bedroom was quite small but adequate for a short stay.
Excellent welcome, room as advertised, breakfast first class.
Very welcoming, owner very helpful re local walks/drives/where to eat etc. Good facilities, all-in-all a very personal service and a nice experience. Great location. A small point really, you can't pay by credit/debit card so make sure you have enough cash in your pocket. We didn't, but managed to get cash-back at the local shop.
Friendly and clean. Beautiful setting. Handy for everything we needed. Snow over night the first night, very cold in the room even though owners made every effort by having the central heating on. It was very, very cold.
Friendly and welcoming, excellent breakfast, very comfy bed. Owners had good local knowledge to guide our exploration of the countryside
Were made to feel very welcome, will be staying again!
Kettlewell is a very pretty village in the Dales. Pennycroft is right in the middle in between 2 pubs - which is a great place to be! The owners of Pennycroft are very friendly and make you feel very welcome. The room had everything we needed and was very clean and comfortable. Great place to stay for walking holidays. There was nothing that we didn't like
Lizzie and Lawrence were very welcoming and feel like old friends. The breakfast was one of the best we have ever had and kept us going all day. Very comfortable beds.
Beautifull setting in the dale . Owners are very helpfull and it makes u very welcome. Nothing was to much. And the open fire was .brill
This little guest house totally deserves its excellent customer review score. The owners were warm and welcoming, keen to ensure our stay was comfortable and enjoyable - it was both. Little extra touches make Pennycroft special - homemade cake to enjoy with a cup of tea, a coal fire in the sitting room, fluffy bathrobes and an absolutely outstanding breakfast, enjoyed overlooking the lovely garden. We hope to have the opportunity to return.
Comfort, food and location.
