The owners were very friendly and the breakfast was delicious.
Breakfast was freshly cooked with proper locally-sourced ingredients and at a time to suit (I changed this on each day as each day was different). Carol also gives great advice about eating locally and will happily book you a table. There is a decent if simple pub nearby (10 minute walk) that does pie and chips, gammon and chips but no real ale (if that is important to you!) called the Farmers Inn - however, a 10 minute car ride away is the Red Lion and it has a more comprehensive menu and a choice of at least 3 real ales.
Nothing really - it is a bit out in the sticks/wild - but that's what I was looking for (however you are 15-20 minutes from Carmarthen so it's not all bad by any means!
Breakfast was great, plenty of choice, and lots of it. Location is quite off the beaten track, but as I was looking for somewhere in the village, this was perfect. As someone who often travels alone, I particularly appreciated being able to enjoy a comfortable double room on my own, without having to pay a single supplement
The place needed a good clean. The amount of extension sockets seemed unsafe. There was too much fruit before a large breakfast leading to significant wastage.
Carol and Hugh were lovely and welcoming to the B and B. Peaceful location, comfortable and clean. Breakfast was lovely too, plenty of choice.
