8.2 Excellent
Pros: Location
Cons: Room was too dark and popcorn ceilings
9.7 Excellent
Pros: The room is fantastic and the bed was super comfortable! And amenities! Oh the amenities....
Cons: The pool could have been more appealing especially since you HAVE to pay the resort fee.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: The pool side restaurant was fair priced for food and drinks. Both of which were prepared very well. Breakfast at the main restaurant at the front of the hotel was also very nice. The one bedroom suite was spacious and nicely appointed. It was very clean as were the hallways and common areas. Front desk employees very pleasant. I am sure we will return.
Cons: We are not big pool people; but, the pool area and the chair seating area is not large. The hotel is on the opposite side of the ocean which might disappoint some, we knew where it was located and we were fine with that.
5.4 Okay
Cons: some irritant in the room caused cough- air conditioner, carpets. Needs updating
10.0 Excellent
Pros: The hotel was wonderful, very beautiful facility. The staff was wonderfully friendly. Very nice facility and grounds.
4.5 Okay
Pros: Great location. Nicely appointed room. Great lobby. Food was very good.
Cons: Stayed Feb. 2016 4 nights. We were on ground level and discovered a cockroach in our bed after our first night. Management was quick to respond as we requested the room be sprayed. Next day we came back to the room to discover a small lizard hanging on the inside drapes (we had never opened the balcony doors). We requested a change of room thinking we wanted off of ground level and they moved us up to the sixth floor. Cockroaches were even a worse problem. Again discovered a cockroach in our bed and when you turned the light on in the bathroom they ran off the counter. Front desk clerk suggested that this was possible in a tropical climate. This was our third stay on the islands and the first time we ever encountered cockroaches. Management needs to be more proactive with a pest control program. Made for an uncomfortable stay and would not return. Not good value for the money!
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Comfortable rooms, nice balconies, excellent staff, quaint pool area, great poolside dining/beverage options and service, bike rentals, excellent location in Kihei
Cons: No free beach chair/umbrella service at the beach as you have to rent them from the gift shop, small/dated bathroom in the room with very low water pressure in the shower, carpet in hallways should be replaced (a bit damp and stained)
10.0 Excellent
Pros: gym
Cons: bar was for young only
10.0 Excellent

10.0 Excellent
Pros: Very well-run hotel that has given a lot of thought to amenities.
Cons: Bathrooms were a bit small.
7.7 Good
Pros: I stayed at this hotel for the first time 2 years ago and had a good experience. I had a 1-bedroom suite and it is perfect for an extended stay. The rooms are very roomy and comfortable here.
Cons: Some of the front desk staff were not very friendly or attentive. I found the porters and the housekeepers to be the most friendly and would greet me with a smile and say hello. The front desk staff looked bored and every time that I walked up to the front desk, they were looking at their monitors and it took them some time to finally look up to greet me (without a smile). Not sure why they have to be looking at their monitors when no guest is at the front desk. They should be trained to be aware of who is walking up to the front desk and raise their head and make eye contact with the guest that is approaching the desk. This happened each time I approached the desk and there was no guest at the front desk and the staff were not on the phone. Not sure what was so interesting on their monitor. Leads me to believe that they are surfing the internet or something......
9.1 Excellent
Pros: Loved that it was just a short walk to the beach. And the staff were super friendly which was great.
Cons: There's an additional $20/day resort fee.

7.6 Good
Cons: Didn't realize it was a GLTG friendly condo until we got there. I guess I didn't read the small print but it was not a big deal for my husband and I. It was a nice location and the statt were very pleasant.
9.7 Excellent
Pros: The breakfast was delicious and really fresh! And the view from the 2nd floor room was amazing!
Cons: The key cards had a lot of issues!
10.0 Excellent
Pros: My husband and I stayed at Kohea Kai Maui, an Ascend Hotel in July 2018 for our end of our honeymoon on Maui. We loved the helpful and friendly staff. We thought our room was 5 stars with beautiful high ceilings, comfy bed, remodeled and spacious bathroom. We even took use of the microwave, toaster, and refrigerator during our stay. We appreciated the friendly note and basket of complimentary snacks. Truly felt welcomed and comfortable there. The location was also very convenient. We were centrally located from the north side, the harbor, and airport. We were surprised to also receive breakfast included with our stay that was soo delicious ! I’m still thinking about those waffles !! During the day we were out exploring the island and this was a great hotel for a safe place to make our home base. We highly recommend you stay at this best kept secret on the island. You’ll be happy you did!
7.4 Good
Pros: Beautiful grounds very nice staff.
Cons: I ended up with what I think we're bed bug bites. I had them on my wrists, ankles and feet. The place was very nice and comfortable. The cleaning lady even did the dishes. I've never had bed bug bites before. I was there three days. I had no problems until the third day. I moved here and am still on Maui all cleared up after I checked out.

Cons: Leaving
9.4 Excellent
Pros: The location was fantastic. Literally steps from the beach and centrally located on the island. The amenities and rooms were all very clean and comfortable. The BBQ and pool areas were great for cooking and relaxing at night.
Cons: We had a room that had a door between our room and the neighbor room which didn’t block sound at all. It wasn’t a huge deal because we weren’t in the room at the same time as the neighbors very often, but you could hear everything going on in their room.
7.7 Good
Pros: Nice staff. Rooms were fine.
Cons: Parking structure is ridiculous. Really bad design- But, just something you tolerate
