Pros: The staff were very friendly and the spa was good. The breakfast was also of a very good standard.

9.0 Excellent
Cons: It would be very helpful if the staff could speak English
10.0 Excellent
Pros: It’s walking distance to the station and local restaurants. There’s an amazing hot bath on the roof that gives you a gorgeous view of the city and the castle at night. There’s free laundry washing, you only pay for drying. They allow you to lock your laundry if you’d like. They have what I call the “Onsen milk” in a vending machine outside the hot baths. There’s also a nice little lounge you can wait for your laundry in with manga and a TV. Very large rooms for Japan with all the amenities you need. On the first floor there’s a business lounge with computers and a printer if you need that. Everything was very clean. Great staff. The breakfast bar was delicious. They also give you a late night ramen snack for free.
Cons: Nothing bad to say. If I could make a suggestion though, I think the only thing this place needs are maybe bicycles for rent. Since it’s a nice small town it’d be great to borrow a bike to get around the city. Otherwise, amazing place and would highly recommend!
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Wonderful view over Kakegawa including the castle, large room even with a fridge, wonderful spa, microwaves, washing machines and dryers available. Late night ramen for guests staying more than 1 night. The spa (onsen) is also great for people who have not been in an onsen before.
8.8 Excellent
Pros: Great room and Onsen in the property. Free ramen at night. Very good Japanese breakfast buffet. Went out of their way to look after us during the Typhoon.
Cons: Nothing

9.6 Excellent
Pros: Staff was the best! The lady at the reception was polite and really kind. She took time to give the information and really took care of the customers. She also asked if I wanted anything when I walked past and helped me keep my luggage. Others seemed pretty kind. They welcomed everyone with smile and I felt welcome. There's this happy hour meal in the evening that you can have home cooked curry with rice and it's self-service which was pretty cool. I didn't have the chance to try that because I had to go to the concert. What a shame. I really wanted to, though. The location is everything. It's next to Kakegawa station, so convenient, only steps from the station. And there's a mini mart at the station so it's super easy if you want to have some snacks or meals. Overall, a pleasant stay :)
