Pros: Everything perfect! Awesome room with amazing view! Excellent breakfast and cleaning!
Pros: Excellent view across the lake. Very friendly welcome and little treats around - cookies/sweets. Access to bikes and kayaks - excellent
Cons: Little more choice for breakfast would have been nice but what we had was very tasty.
Pros: The hospitality of the guests was beyond expectation. The canoe rentals and the lake were good. The breakfast was delicious.
Cons: No complains
Pros: The room and bathroom were big, very comfortable and clean. The toiletries are respectful of the environment and that is a plus. The property offers free rentals (bikes, paddles, canoes,...) and a pool. The location right on je lake is amazing. The breakfast was very good also!
Pros: Breakfast was awesome.
Pros: The breakfasts were absolutely delicious, generous servings and they even accomodated by gluten free restriction. The staff is very welcoming and the property is immaculate both inside and out.
Cons: I have nothing negative to say about this property.
Pros: Beautiful, big house with super-friendly hosts and a fantastic breakfast. Our room was large with big windows to let in a lot of light. Lovely view of the lake, too. There were bicycles available to borrow, as well as kayaks and canoes. We had a wonderful paddle on the lake! We didn't use the pool, but it looked very inviting. We're disappointed we could only stay one night and didn't get a chance to go cycling. The route they had suggested (they even included a map) looked pretty cool. We really appreciated the free cookies and the selection of coffee and tea that's available 24hrs.
Pros: Room was very comfortable Excellent view of lake Extras like free use of canoes, paddle boards, bikes, Algonquin passes Extras with free water, snacks, fruit and hot drink makers Very quiet location Friendly staff Good food at breakfast
Cons: Check in was very good and lots of information was taken about preferred drinks at breakfast, however this did not seem to be passed on or used at breakfast. Breakfast could be a little bit more efficient if juice was already poured and was placed on tables in advance or as guests arrived. We were offered coffee both mornings when we had already asked for tea and also had to ask for milk both days. These are both minor things but would have helped to make the stay even better.
Pros: Every part of the property is rich in detail and little touches that make it memorable. The place just oozes class and quality. First class welcome from first class staff. Undoubtedly the best B&B we've ever stayed at!
When you stay at Sands on Golden Lake in North Algona Wilberforce, you'll be on the waterfront and 13 minutes by car from Homestead at Wolf Ridge. The front desk is staffed during limited hours. Free self parking is available onsite.
Pros: We checked in late. The employee who guided us to do the check in was very reliable. Everything was clear, and easy to follow. The online response was fast. The view from the rooms was perfect!
Pros: Had the weather been nicer, I'm sure the views are breathtaking and relaxing near the water. Overall the rooms are quite clean and beds are comfortable. The room we stayed had 4 people in total and it was quite spacious. Balcony was wide and had a nice big window.
Cons: Food options were a bit low in the surrounding area. Although we didn't eat at the property's restaurant, we were told there is no breakfast and they can only hand out grab and go muffin type snacks after 11am. We were also hoping to use the on site BBQ. We understand it wasn't the warmest of days but May shouldn't be considered "off season". Toilets always took a really long time to flush.
Pros: Staff friendly - had to climb up and down lots of outdoor stairs with suitcase which is a little cumbersome at my age, but room was clean and comfortable. Staff was great - food was a bit bland at restaurant. Cold and rainy when we were there so lake and outdoors have potential for beauty but not during our visit.
Cons: Everything was ok. No complaints
Pros: Situated right on the lake
Cons: When we went just as the season was beginning the restaurant wasn’t open for breakfast one of the morning gs although the did have tea coffee and cereal bars set out.
Pros: Wonderfull View!
Cons: The mattress in room 3 has to be changed and a fan or ac installed in each room.
Pros: Location on the lake, and the buffet breakfast.
Cons: Closed window blinds let in a lot of morning light, found it difficult to sleep past sunrise.
Pros: Spacious and clean rooms. White linens and towels. Excellent view onto the lake
Pros: Verry welcoming! Great accomodation! Amazing view over the lake. A place to come back.
Pros: Staff were friendly and helpful, the food at the onsite restaurant was delicious.
