The hotel is located near the crosspoint between Sweden, Norway and Finland. Low quality of TV-set, no Internet, high prises at restaurant.
The surrounding wild nature, the sauna by the frozen lake, the very close location to the Artic ocean (compared with the long driving trip from Rovaniemi), the nice restaurant with specific sami food (try the Poronkäristys and the salmon soup, it's simply delicious, or Grandma's pickles at breakfast - they'll surprize you) looking over some crazy birch trees you could contemplate the lake and mountains through The room view was to the car park area while the opposite side was much nicer towards the lake. Asking at the reception desk about the possibility of exchanging the room, we got a polite but firm refusal (while the other rooms have not been occupied yet - apparently there was a reservation for a tourist group that came in later in the evening). The room was neat but spartan style, no comfort compared to other hotels from the cities we stayed in, still I believe the best you can find in the area.
Very good sauna with ice cold lake to swim. A pleasant restaurant with very good service and nice salmon dish. Old and small rooms.
Wonderful area, great service, great food, comfy bed
Very basic room but good value for money. Nice and informative personnel. Good breakfast. Restaurant prices were high.
Atmosphere and landscape, small and peacefull. Quality of the furniture in the rooms could be improved.
