Pros: We loved our stay at Highfield House. It is like stepping back in time and staying at the manor house of a fine estate! The furnishings are all beautiful and everything was clean clean clean. We arrived very late in the evening and the hosts didn’t mind that we brought in some dinner and they made us feel very welcome as we set things up in the common/dining room. The location couldn’t be more perfect - a short walk (~3 minutes) to the town and Trim Castle. We could see the castle from our room.

Pros: This was a really quaint BnB in the countryside (about a 10 minute drive from Trim). Cecelia was a delightful host. Although the property is in the country and well distant from other houses, there are good restaurants a short distance away in Trim.

Pros: The grounds of the golf club were lovely and it was quiet and peaceful.
Cons: The listing indicates wifi, however there was none at our apartment. The next morning I was told I should have come and let them know and they could have provided a portable booster. If the admin knew there would be no wifi I why weren't we offered this upon checking or why have they not provided a booster for the apartment complex? The bathroom tiles around the shower could have been cleaner. The duvet was thick and heavy and not required for the current weather conditions.

Pros: Had read some very petty reviews about noise and not knowing it was over a pub etc before staying so wasn’t sure what to expect Rang before hand to just ask a few questions and the man was super laid back and confirmed all for me We arrived around 8 on Saturday and went into the bar & the lady who check us in was so lovely and showed us up to the room and the different door to use for the rooms We asked about food, as from traveling from Kerry we were starving and it was so close to the town Centre The room was lovely and perfect for the 2 of us and looked over the car park towards the side away from the town When we arrived back around 11 the pub was hopping& the pub across the road was hopping as well, we headed up to bed and couldn’t hear a thing, was fantastic! Got to sleep straight away & up at 7 to leave for the Equestrian Centre - we had breakfast at 8 & the lady on breakfast was fab - got us anything we wanted and we headed away happy as Larry

10.0 Excellent
Pros: The whole atmosphere in the hotel was really good. We loved the evening meal and the breakfast was delicious. The staff were attentive and very helpful. The only pity was we were staying for such a short time we will be back again.
Cons: Actually everything was up to and above the average standard there was nothing we didn't like. We have no negative to report.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Overall the accommodation was fantastic. The bathroom was amazing. The food in the restaurant was excellent. The staff were friendly and courteous and very professional. I will certainly come back if I can get the same room and take advantage of the beautiful ambiance of the hotel.
Cons: Finding the correct switch for the various lights was a little complicated. It got very warm at night and I thought the duvet a too heavy. There may have been a thermostat in the room, but I did not have the time to read the information pack in the room.

Cons: Limited bar food menu.

10.0 Excellent
Pros: Fantastic food, exceptional staff, beautiful room..perfect stay!
8.8 Excellent
Pros: The meals were delicious at the restaurant and it was only a short walk taxi ride to town.
Cons: Unfortunately during our two day stay I had some clothing stolen from my suitcase. A pleated skirt with multi coloured dots on it, and a new shirt with New Zealand place names on it, eg Piha, Raglan etc. they could’ve had the shirt but the skirt was my favourite. Also, I was travelling with my 83yr old dad, and he couldn’t shower because he couldn’t get in and out of the bathtub. A walk in shower would have been better for him. Mind you, it was the same in most of the hotels we stayed at in Ireland, they must really like baths over there.

9.6 Excellent
Pros: Lovely big comfortable bed! Great food!
Cons: This hotel would appeal more to families if their was a pool.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: We booked a double room but were given cottage three in the courtyard. It was absolutely beautiful. It was enormous, beautifully decorated, clean, warm and very comfortable. I really didn't want to leave. The bathrooms are huge with jet showers and a jacuzzi bath. We had our dinner in the bar. Staff were very friendly and efficient. The food was ready very quickly and was delicious. The reception staff were lovely, I wouldn't hesitate to return and would highly recommend this hotel.
Cons: Very minor thing, bed in cottage three master bedroom very very creaky. It's a beautiful old very comfortable bed but any small movement creates a lot of noise which reduces sleep quality.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: We enjoyed our spacious suite overlooking the complex. The staff were most helpful and friendly. The breakfast buffet was varied and generous. The resort is quiet, with lovely gardens and lawns surrounding the area in all directions. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay. Not being golfers, we didn’t go for a round of golf, would it be a perfect place for those wishing to do so.
Cons: Nothing.

7.1 Good
Pros: The rooms interior was nice and bathroom also nice
Cons: When we got the hotel we were asked were we with the wedding - I said no. We were put on the first floor. We seemed to be one of the only rooms not part of a wedding. From the time we got there , there were kids constantly roaring and screaming in the corridor and banging on doors, also adults were shouting down the corridors to other family members etc, they were really inconsiderate to other guests. Someone next door to us put their TV On, the walls were so thin I could hear every word on their TV. We called reception 3 times to explain the noise issue and that we wouldn’t be able to stay in that room with all of that going on on that floor, each time we were told we would be called back. That didn’t happen. We went to reception and asked to speak to a manager, we were asked what it was in relation to , then the girl at the desk then moved us to floor 2. Which was fine, however zero apology that we had to go to reception and demand a response. The room was twin so we had to wait for it to be made to double then. The staff in the bar all seemed to be either new or just had no clue what they were doing, wrong orders were going to tables the whole time we were there and we had to ask for knives and forks. It’s a Nice hotel physically but nothing else about it was good and definitely wasn’t worth the money we paid considering the customer service we received, would not recommend staying here.

10.0 Excellent
Pros: Mark was really welcoming and went out of his to help.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Perfectly placed to give us head-start for our driving trip to the west the next morning, avoiding the bustle of Dublin. Mark was very friendly and welcoming despite our flight being an hour late and our arrival time much later than planned. He'd lit the fire in the sitting room and spent time having a good chat with us before we went to bed. He tailor-made a breakfast dish to our (vegetarian) needs and made us feel most welcome throughout our stay.
Cons: Not exactly a complaint, but Mark needs some new jokes. My husband, who's quite a joke collector, knew the punchlines to almost all his jokes! They very much enjoyed sharing the craic together.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Mine host, Mark, was a delight, he made us more than welcome and we wished we could a little longer.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Mark is the greatest host! The house is nice, big and clean in lovely countryside. Mark even offered us lift to pub next village what I found super handy! We had to leave very early it the morning and even though Mark woke up before us and made amazing breakfast for us! Wish we had more time to explore the area.. Do not hesitate and book your stay
