The location was very convenient. No kugelhopf in the morning.
Friendly staff, reasonable price, calm
Very centrally located with spacious clean rooms. Free easy wi-fi access. It was impossible to move across the bedroom without the floorboards squeaking very noisily at every step. Our bedroom windows opened on to the central square. With windows open the bells chimed every 15 minutes throughout the night!
An very good hotelin every way, location, near restaurants and in the centre. I would highly recommend this hotel for the price and the catergory
The kindness of the staff, the order and clearness of the hotel and its central position in Ribeauvillé.
The hotel is conveniently located in the heart of the city. All the shops and restaurants are walking distance. The staff speaks English and was very helpful and even stayed up late as we arrived after midnight.
Riberville is one of the prettiest villages along with many others in the Alsace region-and theHotel de la Tour is in the most perfect location. It is a family run hotel with the owner speaking very good English. We didn't have the breakfasts as there was a superb pattisserie just round the corner where we were able to sit outside- so can't say whether it was good or bad value. We upgraded our room as the one offered was quite dark and small and were fortunate to be able to. Had we been wanting to change the first Sunday in September ( two days after we left) that wouldn't have been possible as there was a fete on in the town and they were expecting 20,000 visitors! There was a small gym with jacuzzi-which my sister and partner used and enjoyed. All in all would thoroughly recommend.
Our crib was set up in our room before our arrival. The front desk was extremely kind and helpful in referring us to a yummy restaurant (The Black Horse) for dinner.
They gave us a great room with a private entrance. It was like our own little apartment. THe owners were really nice and helpful.
atmosphere of hotel and village
Cozy, clean & fully equipped with mini kitchen. Well worth the money. Good location, close to different villages in the area. Better if they have a shower place rather than just the bath tub.
The Courtyard and pool. Hot tub was too cold. Room was chilly to start.
We enjoyed everything about our stay at this hotel. Our room was spacious, clean and decorated with exquisite antique furnishings. The swimming pool was heated. The food at the restaurant was prepared by an excellent chef. The decor of the old style building was absolutely charming as was the entire village.
It was charming and very centrally located There was only one mirror in the room which was in the bathroom and the bathroom was very small
It's a very interesting hotel, great having the kitchenette, but otherwise quite basic. I don't know if the restaurant and hotel are closely linked, but we found the service in the restaurant quite sloppy, though the food was quite good.
great location, large room, wonderful scenery in the courtyard buffet breakfast--not enough wait staff, over priced, small selection, no hot food
This is the perfect place. We use it as our home base when are enjoying the Alsace area. It is owned by a wonderful family. They also grow their own grapes and you can taste their amazing wine. On several occasions we have stopped in to taste wine and have been given a lesson on the wines and the French people. we love this place!!
Charming hotel in lovely village, conveniently located with modern comforts, affordable, easy free parking nearby, well equipped kitchenette, helpful staff.
very good restaurant, attractive location
Setting, great view and balcony
The location in the middle of the vineyards is fantastic, and the staff are very friendly and accommodating. The food is good and the wine list has a good selection of producers from the immediately surrounding area.
Excellent breakfast (European style) Elevator is a bit slow and noisy
overdue luggage arrived 4 days late and we were not called when it arrived...probably just a language problem with French staff & English only guests
The hotel was nice and comfy. Perhaps some rooms a little bit outdated, but this was overcomed by cleanliness. The free parking lot and the location is what made up our desicion to stay. Despite that we had the updated version on our the navigator, it did not recognize the address that is provided by the hotel or maybe by booking.com (to our surprise neither did google). The very same address with the very same ZIP also applies to the city Colmar (thats what google says). So basically we started our trip to hotel without knowing hotels exact position. As recommendation to the others if your navigator does not recognize the address, use the map on booking.com site in order to find the hotel.
The building was a very attractive one that made us want to step in and stay. The rooms were clean and well kept. The doors are closed by midnight and if a guest shows up after midnight even with fully pre-paid reservation, there is no way to enter the hotel. We had to spend the night in our car in the car park despite a fully paid reservation since we showed up too late!!! When we did make it to the room at 0630 hrs the next morning, we found the bed to be rather small.
Like most French hotels regret no tea-making facilities.
great food but no vegetarian choice. small and uncomfortable double bed.
The location was good. This hotel has a great view too bad that the porch was closed to us so we could not enjoy it. Also there was no staff during the evening so if there was a problem you could not ask for help. Also the tv had a special turn on button which was unknown to us and we were not told how to turn it on.
A charming very French inn with a fabulous location and view of the vineyards, mountains, and nearby castle. The food was gourmet.
Very friendly staff, nice buffet breakfast, very clean rooms, pretty architecture. Beautiful location on the Alsace wine road, near historical locations and walking trails.
Had a very nice room with balcony overlooking the vineyards and Kronenberg Castle. Dining room was closed Mon. & Tues. nights (low time of the week?) although you could book ahead and reserve for dinner if convenient.
the hotel is located in a main spot along the wine rout in a quiet village.the rooms are nicely decorated and large.nice bathroom. the hotel closes everything by 10 pm and there isn't any option for even a cup of coffee.
A very comfortable and friendly hotel. Reception staff were very helpful. Try to get a room overlooking the village with an amazing view of Haut-Koenigsbourg Castle. A bit on the pricey side compared with some other hotels we stayed at in Alsace.
Nice hotel, beautiful location, good service
this was an overnight stop over travelling from Tuscany to Rotterdam. it was a bed for the night and so we really did not judge it more widely. no complaints though!
1)friendly service and 2)location (quiet and nice view) even though very friendly, slightly slow service at the restaurant
Friendly and helpful staff. There was no bar. Needed updating/modernizing slightly.
on the internetpage it says 24 hrs reception, but apparently they would like to close around 23 h. I checked in at 23:15 h, the room had a temperature of approximate 13°C and the radiator didn't work. the radiator just started working at 7 in the morning, means they automatically cut the power off during the night. even more they don't foresee a room temperature above 15°C, that's extremely poor!!
A very nice place to stay en route. rooms were very clean and well presented. restaurant was very good. only issue was lack of staff available on leaving although this was a minor issue
Very nice and comfortable room in the newly opened annex. Hotel well placed in a quiet village with easy (car) access to nearby villages and wineyards.
Serene and beautiful setting. Staff is excellent; they provide specialized attention to your desired travel wants and needs.
It was in a great setting right in the middle of vineyards. The room was very good unfortunately not able to take advantage of the terrace as it was so hot when we were there. The air conditioning worked fine in the bedroom but the bathroom and toilet were very hot. Great food in their restaurant with beautiful views over the countryside.
Very friendly staff. Well furnished and comfortable rooms. Views of vineyards and valley from terrasse. Nice pool and spa/sauna. Excellent restaurant at reasonable prices. Very relaxing place to stay. Nothing. You do need a car or be reasonably fit since the hotel is located high up in the vinyards.
The view on the Alsatian valley is really remarkable The hotel is over 1 km of hard slope out of the town. It's not a downward, it's a pleasent walk between the vineyards, but without car could be a problem
the service was great and the staff was very helpful. Also if you eat in the dinner is of excellent value and quality.
Very friendly owner. Good kitchen. Nice location in the center of Alsase wine district ahd the city itself.
Hotel staff was very friendly. Food was very good (lovely rhubarber tarte). no
Comfortable clean beds!!! Dogs welcomed!!!
Great location. rather dirty and with windowless rooms. I always wonder why they still have these rooms when they have better availables the specific dates at the same rate. pitty!!!! Windowless rooms, filthy carpet, short bed
The owners are warm, friendly and accommodating. The location excellent for touring village and region. It would have been nice to have breakfast included.
Very nice stay in the cosy city and very good room! We don't understand why this hotel has only 2 stars. It deserves at least 3 stars!
The Hotel is situated in one of Alsace's most beautiful villages. The hotel staff are wonderful and made our stay there to a beautiful memory.
The hotel was located in the heart of Ribeuaville and yet it was very quiet. Although not fancy, it was very clean and priced very well for it's location. The bed was confortable as well. no.
Pleasant hotel in centre of pirotesque village, acceptable price.
Charming hotel with dedicated staff. Food was excellent (dinner and breakfast) and the location was amazing. Worth the stay. Parking is restricted and very limited.
The location was charming, inside and out. A lovely stopover and a perfect one-night place during a long car journey. Parking was not easy, but we found a spot--just had to walk a little.
Athmosphere, food and environment.
We loved being out in the country. It was very relaxing to enjoy a drink by the river with newly made French friends. The breakfast and atmosphere were so enjoyable. We ate there one night (need to make reservations) and it was a real treat - food fresh from the market and so delicious. The location was perfect for getting to the wine road and those quaint little towns. Thank you, Stefan, for a wonderful weekend! We will come back.
The service and the room was perfect.
Very friendly staff, they do their utmost. The atmosphere is perfect with country style lobby. The rooms are tidy and clean in the same style like the lobby. Perfect for vacation or to relax a bit after a long business day. You have to book in advance for the dinner, which starts a bit late for my customs: 18:30. The food is quite heavy, which is typical in Alsace as I have experienced. Single menu for taking, or leaving it.
We had a traditional room on the top floor and it was very comfortable with a modern bathroom, good bed, enough space and a view of Haut Koenigsbourg castle. We did have to climb 3 flights of stairs, which was not a problem for us, but may be for others. Breakfast at 12 E each was too expensive for us, and the nearest alternative is in Selestat.
Enough Room size and bed. Silent environment and good restaurant near the hotel.
wonderful, peaceful location along a river smoky reception/lobby area
As soon as we arrived we were make really welcome by the owner. Our room was so romantic overlooking the small river but also well-equipped. The public rooms were so relaxing and truly lovely with an 'honesty' bar. Outside was ample room to relax and enjoy the ambience. Although we didn't eat at the hotel we definitely will next time! The owner made some excellent recommendations of where to eat locally (Maximillian's) and buy wine. This hotel proved to be a perfect stop-over for a couple of nights en route to Italy.
A pleasant small hotel that had obviously undergone recent, tasteful, renovation. Homey, quiet garden behind hotel bordered river. Great for afternoon lounging. The innkeeper, also the chef, went out of his way to make us feel welcome. Dinner was the highlight with regional dishes and wines served to ten diners seated at one table.
The style and ambiance of the Hotel was superb and all staff very helpful with a good grasp of English language. The room was superb with a great big bath perfect after 17 hours driving! We were not told that you had to pre order a dinner if you wished to dine at the Hotel but the staff did ring and book an excellent local resturant
The setting near a river and in a quiet place pleased us. The villages and towns nearby are lovely.
good location clean room No staff on duty for most of tuesday and wednesday days check in only available between 2pm-6pm so no one to assist if anything happen during the night.Very rude management on the phone!
Good location in the heart of old town; easy access to shops, restaurants, etc. There are about 4 public parking stalls across the road from the hotel which are always taken; there is no good parking nearby.
A most beautiful town full of historical interest and atmosphere. We will return for a longer visit as soon as possible. Nearby parking was available and free. Toilet/shower room no natural light. Our one bulb failed late at night. It happens! Suggest fitting shaving lights. Latest check-in request at 18.00hrs is unreasonable. Breakfast average.
excellent position in beautiful village. Staff welcoming and friendly. Good restaurant Lack of onsite aprking
Attentive and charming service from the staff, good restaurant (dinner and breakfast), pleasant, immaculate room, excellent bathroom, delightful and restful situation.
The hotel lies in a very good location in the beautifull village of Ribeauville. Free parking is available very close tothe hotel. The staff is very friendly and helpfull. The hotel personell creates a truly relaxed atmosphere which made our stay very pleasant. The price versus quality is very very good.
The rooms are clean and functional for the price. The hotel reception was not open during the dayj which was not mentioned in our booking. We had to wait for them to open at 3 pm. Also, no fault of the hotel but the town bells ring every quarter hour - all day and all night.
Received by very friendly staff in the newly renovated hotel. Had a double room at a very reasonable rate. Excellent stop over hotel when passing Alsace or for excursions in the region.
The room was nice, clean and comfortable. The bath room was also o.k. The room itself answer very well to our espectations it was difficult to find the hostel. No parking. The breakfast was only from 8:30 and seems expensive (8 euro for a continental breakfast). We had to wait till 8 to leave the hostel (in order to pay for the room and give back the key,
The town where is placed the hotel is very calm. The swimming pool is open at early in the morning and in the evening. The Structure is very clean and very equiped for a 3star hotel. The restaurant is good and very useful for a full total relax.
What a perfectly situated hotel in the most adorable village in the Alsace region. We met the most wonderful wood sculptor and his Dad while walking around the village. Pefectly situated for wine country as well as visiting the Haut de Koenigsburg. The dinner and breakfast buffet were superb.
Excellent dinner and breakfast. Helpful staff. Beautiful pool and hot tub. WI-FI weak. Could receive but not send email, tough for business. Thick beach towels would be nice for pool.
Service was absolutely fabulous!!! We arrived close to midnight and were totally tired after driving six hours and also after a minor misstrack when trying to find the hotel. Welcome was awesome! Even though Hotel´s kitchen and restaurant was closed, friendly gentleman saw that we were tired and propably hungry. He offered us very good local onion pie, salad and excellent wine! Rooms were small but comfy and clean. Our price was 49e/night which turned out to be excellent value for money. Will definately stay here when I´m visiting Alsace next time. If you are planning a trip to Alsace car is a must. Our bed was a bumby and actually a bit broken. AC could have been better.
We got two separated beds unstead of one doublebed
Helpful staff who even anticipated when WiFi access was required and provided the pass word. Knowledgeable and helpful waiters who made excellent wine recommendations. Evening meals in restaurant were excellent and good value. Breakfast, included in the tariff, was not to the high standard of the evening meals and coffee was ordinary.
Friendly staff nice food
The new pool and leisure facilities are excellent. The hotel would be a great place to unwind for a few days. The room tariffs are high compared with other hotels we used in the Alsace. If there is little or no time to enjoy the facilities (we stayed only one night as part of a walking holiday) it offers poor value for money.
Staff were available but did not crowd guests No
The place is great. Great view...
