The Kronenhoff Guesthouse is very nice. Dinner was excellent! The rooms are very spacious and beautiful. Good location to visit the Addo Elephant Park. We enjoyed the stay a lot.
Lovely spacious luxury suite in beautiful historic house. Staff efficient and helpful. Very good breakfasts and dinners.
The attention of Jurie and Hendrien, its owner, and all the staff was excellent, very good facilities, great and clean rooms and comfortable beds. The restaurant with a varied menu of food and wine was excellent for dinner.
We had a large suite and the room was clean and all things worked. We used the Kronenhoff as a base for visiting the Addo Elephant park which was only a short drive. Our hostess was very kind and helpful and we would be delighted to return and stay again. The food and restaurant was homely and simple which we thought just fine but Kirkwood offers no "posh" bars or restaurants to offer diversions. But this is no complaint just an observation.
We had a lovely, spacious room in very quiet and pleasant surroundings in the citrus-growing area of Kirkwood. The guest house is characterful and comfortable. The cheetah breeding centre was an excelent recommendation by the Kronenhof For some it may be considered quite a distance from the Addo Elephant Park. We got lost in Uitenhage so some warning about one confusing junction might be helpful in future
We greatly enjoyed the hospitality of the staff and the food. The amenities were good and the atmosphere was relaxed, ideal for pour short stay.
An excellent guest house. Beautiful clean rooms, lovely gardens and pool. Food in restaurant was fab.Owner very helpful, nothing too much trouble. On main road and only 20minutes from Addo Elephant Park.
This guest house is an excellent place to stay. It is a very quiet place to sleep. The breakfast is top level. The owners are competent and very friendly. I warmly recommend this magic house.
Ok No AC, very hot during night. Hot days.
Design of the room "Open Space" between bedroom and bathroom. 30Min away from main gate of Addo Park. No possibility to pay with credit cards.
there was nothing intresting around the B&B First of all the price !! It was totally overpriced. The room was ok but for this also in christmas time I don't want to pay more than 400-500 Rand. There was nothing around and the Addo Park was 35-40 minutes away. There are plenty B&B nearer to the Addo Park and also defenitly cheaper. The food was the worst that we had on our complete holiday. We had a starter, lasange and icecream for 150 rand each. and it was not good. For 100 rand you get normally an execllent food in a good hotel or perfect B&B. You get woken up at 5 in the morning by the tin roof as the sun makes it expand. We defently recommend you find an alternative B&B as there are plenty off other to choose from. Very welcoming owners for whom nothing was too much trouble Toilet facilities not adequatly screened
The guys who ran the place were great--very helpful and relaxed, and the food was great. Each room was beautifully and uniquely decorated. We felt at home and wished we'd stayed longer! Walls were very thin so we could hear the neighbours, including their snoring!!
Excelent reception and warmth by the owners who helped us in everything we need. I Think the location is excelent for the atractions around (Ado) but far from Port Elizabeth
