Pros: Serene stunning setting! A real getaway. And to see the volcano, the gorgeous lake, cranes, wildlife and sounds was just so healing. The staff is remarkable! They were exceptionally kind and did their everything to ensure our pleasure.... lovely fires, arranging local Ugandan meals rather than western ones, taking us to the wonderful local church. We left feeling so sad bc we felt at home there. The room was comfy and we loved when they turned down our room at night with hot water bottles. Food was tasty. Ask for the local food to get a real village taste of organic veggies and meat and fish. Thank you !
Cons: Cold water. The hot showers weren’t stable
Pros: Very friendly staff, did everything to make the stay pleasant for us. Nice clean rooms with a good view to the vulkanoes. Will recommend it! They lit a wonderful fire for us every night. Woke us up with freshly brewed coffee. Perfect balance in service level allowing for a lot of privacy.
Cons: The booking.com rate did not include 18% vat, which was misleading

Cons: They could make it more comfortable for visitors with small things like hot water for showers
Cons: bad food and cockroaches, the bed and room was clean though, but not woth the money
Pros: It was a quiet retreat from the bustle of Kisoro set in attractive gardens with great views of the volcanos. Staff were very helpful in respect of meals and helping to organise other activities whilst staying there.

Cons: The lady tried to charge us twice for our drinks. No systems in place. Also no running water.
Pros: First the staff had the right attitude and made my stay enjoyable. Second the meals were very nice.
Pros: The female reception staff was full of smiles although it felt forced.
Cons: Overpriced. Water heater didnt work. The kitchen didnt want to prepare hot water. We ended up using the shower in one of the ensuites. Just strange. When we said we didn't want their lunch pack, the attitude changed. We were locked in on the morrning leaving for gorilla trekking despite us telling the reception our departure time. The staff said no problem and someone would bee there. In the end, we had to search the whole front desk to look for keys in the dark. Theres no sign of staff and no clue where they slept. We ended up being the last to arrive at the park office. The lunch pack was overpriced and was expensive made for westerners. If you've been to local shops, you'll know how cheap things are. We didn't get it. You'll likely find rolex joints near the park offices.
Pros: Friendly and helpful stuff, very nice backyard, close to the center
Cons: Rooms looked a bit outworn, no WiFi connection in the room, not so charming from the outside, mosquito net got holes so I put up my own
Pros: Good location for getting to gorilla parks nearby and two minute walk to a cafe and some shops in town. Great value and very friendly staff!
Cons: Basic room. Only downside was the wifi wouldn't work at all, but fine besides that.
Pros: Staff were super friendly and helpful, specially Bridget
Pros: I would recommend this place if you stay in the private rooms. They are clean, well furnished and have instant hot water. The staff will treat you like family. I showed up at 9pm and they arranged my transportation to the Gorillas for the next day and everything was very professional and on time (definitely recommend Dennis as a driver!). There is a nice aaccommodating restaurant attached with good food.
Cons: I would not recommend the dorms unless they make some upgrades. The shower does not have hot water which isn't a deal breaker where hot water is a luxury in Africa, however the shower head doesn't work properly and water only comes out in a single stream from the middle. The dorm has a pretty dank smell and there were no light bulbs, this may have been fixed though.

Pros: Joshua the manager was extremely helpful in making sure I did all the activities I wanted to do.
Pros: Staff was generally very friendly and helpful. Breakfast was good. Great location. Easy to walk into town and grab food, etc.
Cons: -Mosquito net full of holes. The mosquitoes are ruthless there. Got more bites than I have during my entire stay in East Africa so far (two months). -No hot water (website said they did) -No wifi (website said free wifi) -Got charged twice for the room. Was charged fully on my credit card, but then asked again for full payment in cash at reception. (Didn’t have wifi to confirm my CC purchase)
Pros: Room was clean and with mosquito net on the bed.
Cons: Prepaid with CC through booking, at the end of the stay they asked for the entire payment. They barely knew what is booking.com. After telling them that the stay have been already paid, they called some "manager" in the town. After 30 minutes, we needed to go, so we never met this manager. We didn't pay anything and leave. I'm still wondering why the structure is on booking if they don't even know what it is. Old room and toilet with broken parts.
Pros: Jane - manager is really a star!! She is very helpfull and nice. Many Thanks for preparing breakfasts early Morning !!
Pros: Very friendly staff. They were helpful in any way. The phone number we got from booking was turned off when we arrived at 2a.m. and the hotel was closed. But in front of the house was a plate with the right number and the staff welcomed us kindly. In the evening we could give our breakfast order and tell at what time we would like to have it (breakfast is severd at any time you wish). The guesthouse has also a restaurant for lunch and dinner. The food was tasty. The place is very near to the Gorilla tracking office, near the bus stop and the center.
Cons: Moskito net had some wholes, only cold shower. The hotel changed the name to Sabyinyo Guest House, that was a bit confusing.

Pros: Reasonable rates, great quiet location just off the main road.
Cons: I normally do not book hotels which has no reviews but this in this case I did and wish I had not! Upon my arrival the receptionist was laying on the sofa in the lobby watching loud TV on her laptop. She did not speak a word of English so it was very difficult to communicate with her. No WI-FI in the hotel, very old and dirty hotel, the sink was leaking in the bathroom so the floor was wet, uncomfortable bed and pillows, no fridge or safe box in the room. The pillow cases were too small for the pillows, the curtains in the room were too long so hanging on the floor. The toilet flush was broken, no hangers in the closet and one side of the closet was locked. Noisy neighbours outside the hotel, noisy staff in the lobby, small old TV with no international channels, the shower was broken and could not be used and no hot water because there wa sno power. The bed mosquito net had holes, the hotel has a bar which was noisy with locals who did not stay at the hotel. Loud TV in the lobby area (staff watching it). I was the only guest in the hotel so the staff locked all the doors and main gate and put a padlock on the main door and left for th enight! The power was out for 15 hours!!!! At 11:00 PM I went to the lobby to ask the staff to fix the banging metal gate outside my room. The staff members were 2 young girls (not very comforting) and they were both sleeping on the sofas so I had to wake yhem up. They were unable to fix the banging gate because there was no power and it was so dark outside to see the gate. However, they told me they had fixed it. When I went back to my room I realized the gate had not been fixed so when I returned to the lobby at 11:30 PM the staff members had left and I was all by myself in the hotel. No security guard, no guests, no staff, nobod. All the windows, gates and doors had bars on and there was a big pad lock on the main door so I was basically locked inside the hotel all by myself and there was no power. The staff arrived at 6:15 AM.
Pros: Not much. It is too expensive for the area. Nicer hotels in Kisoro cost less.
Cons: They offer to book online but the staff does not know anything about the booking. It took some time to prove that I had paid online already. The bathroom was filthy and really needs some renovation. The breakfast contains 2 slices of bread with a boiled egg and a Nescafe.

Pros: The staff was very helpful, the breakfast was nice, when we went for the gorilla tracking they get up very early to give us some eggs
Cons: We paid in advance and after are arrival we were asked to pay again. I showed them the message and the bank statement but they refused to accommodate us until we pay again. They said they are not getting the money sent via bank transfers for 6 months. I picked some better room and it seems like I lost 40usd!!!
Pros: The staff was very friendly and helpful. The location was perfect, with atm and good restaurants nearby. They have contacts with great guides, and they always have fresh beers :)
Cons: It was sometimes tricky to get a hot shower but usually after around 20 minutes we could have one. It was also a bit long to get a breakfast even though we ordered in advance.
Pros: This place is well situated but defintely needs a makeover. Ok for one night, but needs to be relived. Wifi didn‘t work the whole time.
Pros: Good location in town
Cons: It’s ludicrous to call this place a hotel. It had a reception area but it’s never manned. The staff are nonchalant and seem to do nothing. The bedrooms are very basic: no fan, no toilet seat, no power socket, not clean, no WiFi, no tv, not cleaned daily. The place is dirty throughout and I saw rats on more than one occasion. Maybe the staff could stop watching tv and playing pool and clean the place occasionally. The WiFi works intermittently in the common area. Beside that is a tv room (laughably referred to as a conference facility) which is filthy and used by staff to watch tv. After the first night I left early for a trek. They gave me a ‘lunch’ which was tiny and revolting. After the second night they tried to make me pay for this lunch. I said it was a breakfast which was included in the price. The staff member replied that breakfast was not included. When I showed him email booking confirmation that it was, there was no apology and no offer of breakfast for day 2 (which I would have refused having seen how disgusting the place was) He just shrugged his shoulders and walked off. This place has a lot of business from overland trucks it seems. They don’t care about their guests. It’s a disgusting dump. Avoid it like the plague.
Cons: When I arrived at the premises an hour after I had reserved for a single room via booking.com. I was told the last room had been reserved a minute ago via phone. The manager was not even bothered that I reserved an hour earlier. He even went ahead to show me the telephone number on his future phone. I don't understand why they register for online services yet the management doesn't respect online reservation.
