Great location and good value. Very noisy - kitchen, patrons, and local street noise. Not good for young children,
We liked some of the staff, receptionist"Franciska" was very friendly and helpful. The food was nice, breakfast and dinner. Live music on the Sunday night was really good. The outside noise was bad. The room did not have a bath and the bed was rockhard.
Very old and historical, charming. Good food. Very reasonable. Extremely difficult to reach as it is located on pedestrian marketplace and cannot drive to. gps did n't help, nor recognize that. We are not young travelers and have some difficulty walking, so actually driving close to the hotel was problematic. they should state precise driving directions (to the parking garage, because you cannot get to the hotel)on the site.
Central location, parking availability and dining area Not overly welcoming to a foreign traveller unfamiliar with the area, hard to find the hotel in town and the parking area
Helpful staff. Good breakfast in the morning. Beautiful surroundings. Easy walk to train station. Lovely town and hotel. Some features of hotel could be updated. For example, carpets.
The staff was very helpful. They helped us find an adapter for the outlet and with our luggage. They reocmmemded a concert too. We loved the menu and the musician. They could update their beds.
Excellent staff and restaurant. I would ask the hotel to review the procedures for using the Value Added Tax (VAT) form with the tax authorities, which allows U.S. Armed Forces to not be charged the VAT and the hotel to not have to pay the VAT to the tax authorities. A wireless internet connection should be installed in the hotel.
The hospitality was good. The empty gesture of a plastic rose on the bed, plus a note not to take it away, not a good message. The hotel is fine without a cheap plastic rose. Also, if they got one of those blue electric lights they might improve the problem of flies in the breakfast room. Unlike the other hotels we booked the tax appeared in addition to the stated fee, it should be stated on the website. The beds in our room sloped down towards the wall, prop them up, it's easy. The double doors on the rooms are not great.
veranika was the greatest
Great ambience, super food, friendly staff. None
Everything was nice. We received a lot of good information about what to visit around. The hotel is in a very peaceful area outside the town of Mittenwald. Nothing to complain about except that our stay there was too short.
The owners of the hotel are very friendly and polite. We got a lot of tips for activities. The hotel is situated in a quiet area.
BMW Biker Festival No
Very friendly and welcoming. Beautiful views, comfortable room, felt like home. Ingolf and Heidi were fantastic. Very memorable part of our journey!
We were made to feel extremely welcome by kind and attentive hosts .The position is fantastic with a wonderful view of the mountains .
beautifull location with a great view; helpfull and pleasant landlord and landlady; nice room
Breakfast, kindly staff ----
We loved it so much we stayed an extra day and wished we could have stayed longer. We hope to visit again.
The Boeges were wonderful hosts and were extremely kind and helpful during our stay. Marvelous view of the Karwendel mountain range. Our room was comfortable and well kept. Availability of food and beverages throughout the day was convenient. Free internet access was a plus.
Nice small family and friendly hotel, very clean and nice rooms, helpfull staff, delicious food, perfect location - nature. We were very satisfied and could only recomment this hotel.
The room was clean and comfortable and the staff very helpful. I like all costs announced when booking. Fees not mentioned during booking were added to my bill. Everything should be crystal clear at the outset.
Very friendly & helpful, well appointed hotel None
When we arrived, the man who cannot speak Englich said no,no,not here, and another man brought us to another hotel. It was over booked !! After having negociated with H.Bichlerhof, finally anothe hotel accepted us with the same condition. We were very afraid !
Everything A great find Staff Wwonderful warm welcoming and so helpful Location fantastic Facilities great Breakfast more than adequate We really have no complaints
the balcony was nice, the hotel was quite central The "fitness equipment" was an exercise bike in the hall that didn't work!
We liked the location. The staff was very friendly and ready to help whenever possible. We would stay there again!
Hotel staff is the most friendliest, and the hotel is clean and cosy. Rooms are all a little bit different, its a lot like home. You can feel that its run by a family.
Hotel was nice but we requested a triple with an extra bed for a second child. We showed up with our triple turned out to be a double with a pull out chair and no room or bed for the second child. We had confirmed earlier with the hotel about the 2nd child but obviously there was a misunderstanding. The hotel tried to make it right but it would have meant having one child sleep alone in a room 2 floors below. Not acceptable for us. Fortunately the staff agreed to let us out of our agreement and we moved to another hotel. Overall nice hotel and nice people just make sure for the sake of the hotel and yourself that your needs are understood!
Staff and Breakfast was excellent. They negotiated our contract for 5 persons stating the contract was incorrect (using the cost for the previously booked 3 persons)
the room was hot, the staff were "doing there job", nothing special.
Delightful mid size hotel in a delightful valley town in the Alps. Great place for hiking, skiing nearby, chair lifts operate in off season for great views. excellent breakfast included and excellent food in the hotel restaurant and many other places in town. We found all the local people we came into contact with to be helpful and friendly. One day too short. More information on the train to the hotel from Munich airport or city would have been helpful for planning. Once at the airport it was no problem but we had booked (and cancelled) a car just in case.
it was central the balcony was very poor, considering that the other rooms had much, much nicer ones.
Great location, good breakfast, pool was nice The room decor could use some updating, still perfectly functional and nice, just older.
Rooms were clean and nicely furnished, with a very reasonably priced minibar. View of the mountains was great, and hotel was located close to what appeared to be the more active part of town.
Great front desk staff who are very friendly to international visitors. Very nice rooms. Awesome Bavarian decor.
Hotel staff was extremely helpful and friendly, spoke very good English. Room was clean and neat. Cozy lounge air with bar service. No air conditioning so stick to the cooler months for visit. Overall great experience, would definitly stay again. Would like in room air conditioning, there is a near by clock tower that rings a be every 30min, not conducive to sleeping with the windows open.
Breakfast was very good. Good service and a lot of choice.
Great staff, peaceful and quiet hotel in small, laid-back Wallgau, 20-30 mins from ski resorts, rivers, lakes, hiking etc. Nothing
Friendly staff; excellent spa facilities; great food; good location for walking and bike riding; small village atmosphere.
Kathrin, the owner was incredibly kind and helpful. The views from the Alm are truly beautiful and the breakfast was the best I have had in Germany - home made jams, great meat and cheeses and scrambled eggs. Dinner was great. Best of all, she contacted a doctor for us when my husband was sick. Truly a great stay.
Friendly owners, very comfortable and well kept room, great food! The views were fabulous, and a walk to the ski lift for hiking!
Personal and friendly wellcome by staff. Clean room! Only complaint I have, was the lack of warm duvet (feathers)
I was delighted with my stay. Everyone was so friendly, and the setting stunning. I left with a big smile!
Great view over the town and to the mountains. Very friendly owners. Great breakfast and kitchen. We can recommend this hotel!
The sight from the window is just marvellous! The owners vere absolutely fantastic and waited for our arrival till late because of train delays. The location is uphill, so all Mittenwald is at your feet, gorgeous!
Superb scenario from room balcony. Good food. Kindness of people. Rooms may be better.
We had a great view of the surrounding area and town. An excellent breakfast was served each morning. The staff was very helpful. The hotel was great, however, the walk from town was steep and the directions to the hotel were unclear.
The owner of haus Schweigart is a very charming and friendly person, the apartment was lovely, well equipped and very clean.
Location is very nice. Owners are really nice and helpful. We had a nice room even if it was the smallest in the house - excelent maybe for family with no kids. A very big terace but maybe better to use in summer.
The attention to detail and customer service was above the ordinary. The room was clean and cosy. The view was magnificent. We could not stop raving about our experience at Haus Schweigart.
My husband and I were traveling threw out europe and we loved mittenwald and our location was great we could walk everywere . Karin was a great owner and hoast. She made sure we had everything we wanted. She went over and above to help us. We would go back again! The owners have a very nice it italian restaurant that we ate at every night.
The service was excellent and the owner is fantastic, was helpful throughoutthe entire stay! No we loved everything!
very frienly and helpful owners
Hospitality of the landlord, location, fully-equipped cozy apartment
The apartment was on the top floor of the home. The rooms were large. We had a great view of the Karwendel mountains. Karin, the hostess, spoke perfect English and lives in the house next door to our house. The home is close to the center of town. There are several restaurants near the home.
