Pros: The property was good. But we felt the smell of cigarettes from another room through the air conditioner. It was horrible. When we opened the windows we felt the cigarettes from outside. Because our neighbors smoked. But I love the design of the hotel and the hotel staff was very nice.
Cons: Before check-in I had some misunderstanding. I booked 1 room with a dog ( I called to the hotel and I asked exactly which room I have to book ). But when I came they said that I booked a wrong room and I have to pay more 33 euro

Cons: there was a hair in my food a mouse in my room it stinks there I don't recommend this hotel housekeeping does not knock always and when you say something about it they react very bad
Cons: I recommend van der valk hotel because here the stuff don't give you a welkom feeling they lie and make things up (manager Paul) en the CEO (Suzanne) don't talk at all even If you ask her questions
Pros: This hotel is great value for money. The rooms are big and the bathrooms are also adequate. The staff are helpful. The location is great away from the noisy nightlife and still not too far if this is where you which to head for when in possession of a car. Great for golfers ( which I am not ). lots of green surroundings. The breakfast was also great value for money €14.50. Overall I would recommend this hotel and would definitely stay there again but with a car.
Cons: This hotel is excellent when in possession of a car. I was unfortunately without one on my 2nd stay. The weather was bad, windy, rainy and cold. So needed to use the taxi service offered by my family who live in Purmered. There is apparently a bus stop about 5 minutes walk away from the hotel. I have not been able to locate it. It is also pitch black and deserted for a lone person to make use of this late at night. This due to the lack of street lighting. When in a group of friends it should be manageable. In my room one of the lights was not working. I am sure when called for an engineer it would have been fixed. I was only there for one night.
Pros: We enjoyed the bike hire
Cons: Unclean and very standard rooms, for high prices.
Pros: parking and entrance, bar
Cons: Room was not clean beds are old and not comfortabel wifi is not stronge signal and strange sound like airco running all the time
Pros: Comfortable bed, large rooms, bathtub in bathroom, friendly staff, interesting layout
Pros: Nice staff big and clean room nice golf course

Pros: It was okay for a person who does not know what comfort means but not good as I expected.
Cons: The beds were very uncomfortable and the service was very poor she does not change the towels everyday (but she calls it CLEANING) she just keeps them as it is to be used even on the next day.It wasn’t worth the money we spent during the stay at this place. I don’t highly recommend this place. it’s a small room that you cannot even breathe, I felt like I am in a Hostel, to be honest it’s the worst place I have been to.
Pros: Very beatiful place, a lovely house. Has everything you need! :) Enjoy :)
Pros: The place is surrounded by beautiful scenery, very quite and cosy all aroumd. The unite was furnished very convenientlly, cute attention to details.

Pros: Everything, it is a beautiful hotel, amazing spa, great food and value for money. We will definitely be back there.
Cons: The spa is not included when reserving through booking.com only when you do it through hotel.
Pros: The architecture, location, history and management of the Hotel is impecable. The staff is more than friendly and go the extra mile to make your stay unforgettable. Loved every minute of it!
Cons: The breakfast could have more options but the quality of what is there is quite good.
Pros: The authenticity of the site, the decoration, refined cuisine, good wines, hospitality. The pleasure to discover the polders. I did not experiment all the healthness facilités, sorry.
Cons: It’s difficult to get on to the venue. I suggest you indicate the train to get there and organize a shuttle from Purmerend to the hôtel. À taxi from the airport will cost you a fortune.
Pros: Perfect location for my trip staff were friendly
Pros: Great design and comfort and beautiful wellness
Pros: Spacious and very confortable bedroom. Awesome spa ! Good restaurant at the spa
The Budget Hotel de Witte Hoeck Amsterdam Wormerveer is an ideal spot for travelers wanting to discover the city. After a long day of sightseeing, guests can retire to the comfort of the hotel. Airport pickup can be arranged by the hotel upon request.
On the threshold of Purmerend, you will find Hotel Purmerend situated on the fertile grounds of the Zuidoostbeemster. Compared to the other much larger Van der Valk accommodations, Hotel Purmerend is small, original and charming.
Pros: The hotel was convenient and good breakfast. However, the staff is highly unorganized and lack customer service, which made our stay less pleasant.
Cons: I have booked 5 rooms for 10 people, including one room for which an extra bed was needed as initially agreed with the hotel. Knowing that we would have a late checkout past 11pm, I have first called to confirm my request weeks before and went physically at the reception 2 weeks prior the arrival to ensure it is there. On the arrival the staff had no noticed of it, and we had to switch room after midnight, knowing that one of the rooms was on the second floor with a tiny spiral staircase and no elevator. To make things worse, the man at the reception was a temp and it took more than 30min to sort it out. Furthermore, one of the rooms had no heater during the night for 3 nights in a row (really cold during that period) and only worked during the day. We have told the staff every day and on the last night at 1am, the person at the desk told us he couldn’t do anything about now, and we will discuss a discount at the checkout. On the check out time, no records (once more) of such issue and we were told that the manager we call us to discuss and solve it after they wrote our number downs. It has now been 4 days and I haven’t received any call. Lastly, the smell in the second part of the building is very bad, a mix of humidity and sewage type of smell. Fortunately, not present in the room.
Pros: Staff is always friendly. Nothing is too much and it is small and cosy
Pros: Breakfast was very good. We were very confortable during our stay. We had to leave one day earlier due to a personal issue and they managed it directly with booking to give us a solution, even when they did not have to. Dinner was also good. We strongly recommend this hotel and if we come back we will be happy to book it again.
Pros: it was good in general . the waiters was not so cooperative .as i asked for honey but they reply it was finished.
Cons: I have booked for 3 me and wife and my little daughter with breakfast and i have paid accordingly . but when i checked out i have shocked that i have to pay for my 5 years old daughter breakfast . so i think you should keep the deal at it advertised on website
Pros: Breakfast is really OK. Generally the hotel is fine
Cons: No indication to the parking when you arrive, so I was driving around in all the small streets around, although it could have been very easy.............
Pros: Looked nice , nice location, good parking
Cons: Smell on stair case, drainage, Breakfast ran out approx 9am every day when it doesnt end till 10
Pros: Good location Friendly staff Nice food

Cons: Cold rooms, need to turn on heater on in November.

Pros: Friendly host, nice breakfast and close to Zaanse Schans historical area.
Pros: Very nice owner! Makes you feel at home. Talked during breakfast with Australian guests, which also makes breakfast more fun than eating on your own.
Pros: The hostess was very welcoming. She was kind & pleasant.
Pros: Quiet place with nice breakfast
Pros: Location is approx. 25 minutes from Amsterdam Center using Park and Ride. As no public transport is close by you need a car to come/leave. Rooms are clean but rather small.
Pros: I got exactly what I wanted but the country side was even nicer!
Pros: Rich breakfast and pleasant landlady Miriam
When you stay at Hotel Villa GROET uit Avenhorn in Avenhorn, you'll be within a 10-minute drive of Museum Hoorn-Medemblik and Markermeer. Featured amenities include dry cleaning/laundry services, luggage storage, and laundry facilities. Free self parking is available onsite.
Pros: The village was really beautiful and the breakfast nice, and the room was clean and nice. Parking Satisfied
Cons: No soundproof
Pros: The rooms were clean and the shower was hot. The staff was very kind and friendly.
Cons: The rooms are basic at best and the walls are so thin you can hear everything going on in the other rooms and in the hallways. We were unable to sleep as it was all so noisy (a party nearby did not help matters) - we left a day earlier than expected. There are no amenities such as a kettle or hairdryer in the room. The food in the restaurant seems to be taken out of freezer bags and cooked.
Pros: Big room, comfortable bed, nearby free parking lot. Hot tub, modern shower.
Cons: Bed linen was not completely clean, had a bit dust/sand crumbles near foot end. The room has been changed, so pictures didn't match. So (fortunately) no frame with curtains around the bed. There was no closet, nor hooks or shelves to put your stuff & clothes in/ on. No table, no water cooler, no TV.
Pros: Cleanliness, simplicity and quiet location.
Pros: The place was clean and nice.
Cons: It was really noisy! The night of our stay there was a party at the hotel restaurant and we were able to hear everything from the room. Luckily they stopped the party after we called the owner, but we were still able to hear toilet flushes from different rooms and noises from upstairs (really hard to tell what it was). Bottom line, out of us 4, only 1 slept properly. We didn't have a good night of sleep. Was not quite at all. For references, we were at room 5 and 6.
Pros: Location, breakfast and stuff were so friendly and perfect
The De Rijper Eilanden is an ideal spot for travelers wanting to discover the city. There's plenty to do nearby, with Raadhuis en Waag De Rijp uit 1630, and De Oude Herberg all just a both distance away. After a long day of sightseeing, guests can retire to the comfort of the hotel. A pickup service can be arranged for guests upon request.
Pros: The interesting décor - great for family games of eye-spy at dinner and breakfast!
Pros: Great location and design of the hotel. Good breakfast included in price.
Cons: The bathroom wasn’t good clean.
Pros: It was okay for location for what I had come for to that area
Cons: The breakfast was okay but lots of mosquitoes in the lobby area and breakfast area and so much clutter but I understand that’s the style but they can reduce the clutter cause it creates dust and so many mosquitos can hide around
Pros: Staying in this hotel is a special experience. The corridors could serve as background in any Tarantino movie and the collection of old cars, technical devices etc in and outside is more than impressive and makes the place unique. Breakfast was good and staff very friendly. Our room offered enough space for 4 people and offered a large and clean shower. Great value for money.
Cons: The only thing we didn't like were the beds. Way too soft mattresses.
Pros: Unique place to stay, like being in a museum Excellent breakfast, lots of variety
Pros: Location was ideal Bed was comfortable WiFi was good
Cons: Bathroom was dirty Hairs In shower But cheap

Just 5 minutes walk from bus stop that takes you to Amesterdam in 20-30 minutes. Hospitality we received was amazing and we felt like home!!!
Pros: Theo and Elly are very nice and with lot hospitality. Perfect stay experience.
Pros: Huge thanks to Theo, the owner, who was really helpful and spot on with his advice. He booked us a restaurant for dinner. The next day we had planned to get a bus to Amsterdam but there was a national public transport strike so he agreed to take us close to the IJ tunnel then lent us bikes to go the rest of the way. The bed was comfortable and the location was quiet but an easy walk to the nearby town square for dinner. Breakfast was lovely. There were lots of thoughtful extras in the room including wine.
Pros: The personal treatment, the location and the attention received by Theo and Elly were excellent. The bed was very comfortable and the area was quiet. Gracias por todo!!
Pros: Very nice town, easy access train twenty minutes to central station. A two minute walk to b&b. Wonderful host. I highly recommend .the room is small but I never plan much time in the room. Nice balcony
Pros: Perfect hosts, helpful in all ways, great location and pleasant atmosphere, it was provided to us more than we needed and expected. We will be coming back for sure. Thanks for all again :)
Pros: The hospitality and the service of the B&B. Oh, and the breakfast, of course.
Pros: Super comfortable, clean, and close to Amsterdam. Very good location and the bus stop is 5 minuts walking from the place. Lovely hosts with a lot of knowledge of the area and very good tips for places to visit. Breakfast was also delicious and plenty. Big recommendation. Thank you for awesome weekend!!
Pros: Elly n Theo are excellent hosts. Very kind people and ready to help anytime. Property is at excellent location if u want to stay far away from the noisy Amsterdam surrounding. Yet it is close to Amsterdam as u have a bus station right next door. Amazing place to stay.

Pros: It was a cute small apartment for three in a quiet neighborhood with a blooming fruit tree orchard on the property. The simple breakfast was handy for us. We enjoyed the semi-rural location and used the park and ride about 15 minutes away to take the metro to the city. Nearby small towns on the water made for quiet dinners and sunset touring after a busy day in the city.
Cons: The stairs were steep and had narrow steps.
Pros: I did like the location. Perfect green space, and clean area.
Pros: The area of the Beemster is lovely. Purmerend, Alkmaar and Amsterdam are not far away.
Cons: The B&B is in a converted barn and the insulation of the noise could have done better.when other guests are leaving their room early in the morning, you more than ‘notice it’. We were welcomed by a plaque of ladybirds. The owner explained what caused it.when the room isn’t used during the colder times of the year and the heating is put on, they come out of the openings in the wall. It isn’t nice at all all to find them in your bed and on your pillow. Further than explaining the cause, it didn’t seem to bother the owner. Considering not to rent out the room is obviously not an option. Finally, the accommodation is bang on the A7 motorway. We won’t stay here anymore.
Pros: the location is perfect! The room is comfortable! The breakfast is nice. The owner is helpful!
Pros: The staff is extremely nice, friendly and always help with information and advice you may need or request. The location is great. You can easily reach Zaanse Schans, Amsterdam and a lot of other beautiful places. It is a typical Dutch experience - neat, picturesque and peaceful place with orchard and a trampoline for kids(not just:-)). I would highly recommend this place.
Pros: The owner of the hotel was incredibly helpful and friendly. The room was spotless when we arrived and the facilities available were excellent. The free wifi was also great.
Cons: Location was outside of Amsterdam and required a train to go back and forth but even with the location this hotel was worth staying at.

Purmerend is just over 20 minutes away by car. Guests can make use of bicycle and boat rental and packed lunch services.
Pros: Room is spacey, all really clean, own entrance, great service of the personal, very friendly!
Cons: Bed is simple, tv small and not HD, no fruit at the breakfast table
Pros: location, nice atmosphere
Cons: this is the third time we came back but it wasn't like the previous times. for breakfast the door was still locked at 0800 every morning. you had to wait and after 10 minutes of sitting at the table they finaly came to the table to take your order for coffee. the first morning we didn't get eggs. the second morning the service was better
Pros: Great welcome and plenty of helpful assistance. Excellent Breakfast Will return.
Pros: Interior designs and restaurant at the hotel.
Cons: It was very cold in the room and bathroom.
Pros: Breakfast was good. Nice scenery
Cons: No lift
Pros: The staff were very friendly and accommodating food was good and reasonable priced.
Cons: Loads of mosquitoes in the room really needed mosquito nets on the windows and the room spraying. Room was OK but furniture was a bit basic.
Pros: We stayed only one night. Location was ok for us. . Staff was very friendly, the big triple room and bathroom are basic and a little bit old but clean. We taked the dinner there, the food was tasteful and the breakfast too. Thank you!
Cons: The bathroom has not a hairdryer, but it is not so big inconvenience.

Pros: near to amsterdam, good breakfast for little money, nice staff and rooms.and very good restaurant

Cons: Yes, I did not notice the opening hours of the hotel. At weekends it only opens at 4pm. I arrived in Amsterdam at 1PM. Fortunately I was saved by a shop attendant close to the hotel who phoned them and asked them to open the door for me.
Pros: friendly service. personal touch. perfect soft boiled eggs for breakfast.
Pros: Very nice, small hotel outside of Amsterdam. Very close to the train station.

Pros: Great place to stay - lovely location and the breakfast was fantastic. Also ate at the restaurant across the road which is run by the owners which was one of the best meals we had on our trip. The couple who run the B&B were really friendly and helpful.
Cons: The room we were staying in didn’t have a door to the bathroom - just a translucent curtain - which made it not very private. If you want a bit of privacy (or at least this illusion of it) in the bathroom, this isn’t ideal! I would guess this doesn’t apply to most rooms - it seemed to be partly down to the architecture of the room.
Pros: Everything was perfect. Modern and clean rooms, a small but wonderful garden, the best breakfast we ever had (!), very nice hosts! Amsterdam, Alkmaar, and the coast are not far away. De Rijp is a beautiful small town.
Cons: If you stay for more than a week and if you want to stay mainly in the garden of the B&B, the planes which go to Amsterdam airport could be somewhat annoying.
Pros: The house of the B&B Het Pakhuys is an old but extremely preserved and renovated house, located in the centre of the village. Our room was at the top of the house with a nice view to the church and the village. It was very comfortable! The owners and their dog were very friendly and welcoming, offering us a delicious and huge breakfast, full of local food in the morning! This B&B is really a gem - just like the village of De Rijp!
Cons: I want to make sure to point out that the following is definitely not the owners’s fault or responsibility: the bell of the next door church is really loud and it strikes every hour, even through the night. If you are a light sleeper, that may disturb you a bit - at least until the authorities finally decide to make it stop :)
Pros: Right in centre of town. Lovely place, super clean brand new modern B&B that’s in an hysterical old building. Comfy beds and spacious shower. A-ma-zing breakfast. Fresh fruits & breads, orange juice and cheeses that come straight from around the corner. The owners are amazing and super friendly. They make you feel at home right away. We even could drop off our luggage at 9am as we were with public transport that allows us to go and explore on the day of check-in, but also -out. Thank you both!
Cons: There is nothing not to like!
Pros: Fantastic hospitality and breakfast you will hardly ever experience. No buffet but a very nice offer. Accross the road, do try 'het wapen van Munster' restaurant, it's from the same owner so you will not be disappointed.
Pros: This B&B is located in WORLD UNESCO AREA, so the village is beatifull. It' s suitable for walking around and cycling. Breakfast is great, especially handmade original quiche and yohgult.
Pros: stunning, central location - best breakfast - helpful - nice garden, on a sunny day
Pros: Modern, very clean and well maintained. The hosts were very accommodating, spoke excellent English, gave good advice on transportation and provided an excellent breakfast each morning. The property is close to three restaurants within easy walking distance. The one across the street is owned by the B&B owners and gave a 10% discount. Excellent food too!
Pros: Fantastic character property, with a modern interior. Lovely location, with great staff and a fab restaurant across the road.

Cons: There was no ac, small bathroom.
Pros: Extra Shower place
Pros: Very romantic and cosy place just located by the lake.
Cons: The bathroom’s layout needs some reworks. There is not door to close the shower, so you can go to the toilets and have your feet in the water at the same time so it is not very convenient.
Pros: Beautiful and interesting accommodation. Excellent breakfast.
Pros: The guest house was adorable! Just perfect! It’s from the 1700s! The architecture was incredible! You’re right on the canal and can enjoy your coffee there in the morning. Loved the layout and decorating. The host and hostess were very accommodating and kind. We loved her store and bought some goodies to remember our trip.
Pros: Very quirky, lovely & quiet. Very nice setting.
