Cons: Parking can be a little remote if there are no spaces outside but this is a 17th Century village.

Pros: Great decorations with outstanding hosts. Spacious rooms. Very clean. Breakfast was awesome! Love this place. If you like wine you must try the wine offerings.

There is another very good restaurant a few minutes walk away so if you arrive tired after a long drive as we did eating is no problem.
Cons: Nothing, next time we will try their restaurant. From the outside appearance is not impressive - it is a working German winery, but inside is great.

Pros: We were in Europe for just over two weeks and this was the best breakfast of them all. We loved the room and balcony. It was beautifully decorated. Frank, the proprietor, was fantastic. He was so helpful in directing us to things to see and do while we were there. Dernbach is a nice quiet town, off the beaten path but close enough to the Deutsche Weinstrasse. Great location. Highly recommended.
Pros: The room was very spacious and had amenities many hotel rooms don't seem to have like a hot water cooker, refrigerator and slippers. The bed was very comfortable and the decor was very nice. The breakfast buffet was terrific, had many different meat specialties from the region and a couple of warm egg dishes which were delicious.
Cons: Everything was great!

Pros: Restaurant closed that day, but they recommended Culinarium in town and it was excellent. The room was more an apartment with simple cooking facilities etc. Great for longer stays but even one night like us was lovely.
Pros: The food in the restaurant was fantastic
Pros: A large appartment with all facilities, car parking anda good restaurant. The Wendel wine was excellent and it was all good value for money.
Cons: No air con, but the room was cool enough despite the 29 degree heat due to good management. Meal took ssome time to come, but the restaurant was very full and when it came it was delicious
Pros: Very quite place. Gentle & family management. Restaurant is very good also. Their own wine was at fair prices and good We spent only 1 night (trip back from vacation)
Cons: Honestly, no special comment
Pros: Amazing, friendly and wonderful food, a real good find, will definitely come back
With a stay at Villa Waldfrieden in Annweiler am Trifels, you'll be within a 15-minute drive of Palatinate Forest Nature Park and Sandstone Church. The front desk is staffed during limited hours. Free self parking is available onsite.
Pros: I was happily surprised Will book again next time I am in Annweiler
Cons: Please use my full name Goetz Boje
Pros: Accommodation was, frankly, quite exceptional for the price. Three bedrooms and three bathrooms for a couple travelling with their disabled daughter was amazing - wouldn't expect this standard of cleanliness for the price. The staff rang to ask about our Daughters mobility requirements - twice in fact - which was extremely thoughtful. We came to an understanding it would be acceptable given there were a "few" stairs. Breakfast was well presented and adequate, on a par with the standards of the bedroom.
Cons: Let me just preface this by saying we arrived at Annweiler in what can only be described as a biblical deluge!! The only thing missing was an Ark. Given the torrent of rain blocked our mobile and GPS signal, we fought our way through the drain covers flying up to find the Villa entirely by the well placed signpost through the town. We were a little peturbed to then be told on the GuestHaus intercom that the key had to be picked up from Kurhaus Trifels, a couple of kilometres away! This could have been more clearly explained, particularly during our two brief telephone conversations. We are willing to give the hotel the benefit of the doubt though, since this may have been in the booking information and might have got the confused with some of the other half dozen bookings on our Grand European Tour (of Roadworks!) Incidentally, if you are thinking of booking this accommodation with someone with mobility issues, I would be more prepared for 40 or more, both to gain entrance and within rooms 50-52. Not an issue for our resilient Daughter, but slightly more than anticipated.
Pros: Super modern and comfy suite of rooms
Cons: Little odd that the house we stayed in was not the main property, and located elsewhere from the hotel... it was really nice but a little confusing, and no info prior to tell us where to go to get the key etc...
Pros: Beautiful room, very clean, elegant furnishings. Views of Annweiler and mountains. Quiet. Plentiful breakfast with cheerful staff; most food labeled BIO, which is rare and appreciated. Great location to access multiple hiking trails (wanderweg's), or walk out the hotel door into nature. Annweiler is a bit away from the Weinstrasse, so less crowded. Charming historical town, cultured, many events and music all year.
Cons: Add 30 minutes to drive to another location, check-in, then get back to the hotel.
Pros: Clean, modern, comfortable, spacious rooms. great breakfast buffet. Very pleasant staff
Pros: Excellent location. Close to the forest and wonderful hiking paths. The terrace in the apartment is spacious and has a great view (shared with room next door). Great shower (no bathtub). The villa has a beautiful design and everything is very clean.
Cons: We were quite mislead by the good reviews. The Kurhaus is nice but there is definitely a lot of room for improvement. The price per night did not match the overall quality. We read about the check-in being in a different building but did not imagine it is a few kilometres away. We also had to go to the main building for breakfast which was a bit inconvenient in the morning before leaving. The breakfast options were quite limited and the overall quality not great. The staff at check-in and breakfast were not particularly helpful. They seemed confused when we arrived for breakfast and then the coffee took a very long time to arrive, and when it finally did it was cold. But the worse was the bed. We expected a king size bed but instead got two smaller beds put together which would slide away from each other with the slightest movement. Needles to say, they were not comfortable whatsoever.
Situated near the boardwalk, this spa hotel is within 1 mi (2 km) of St. Dionisius Church and Palatinate Forest Nature Park. Muskatellerhof Winery and Südpfalz Therme are also within 3 mi (5 km). Bad Bergzabern Station is 30 minutes by foot.
Pros: Everything. Staff very friendly and helpful. Good food in evening and at breakfast.
Cons: Room under the roof without airco was a not so pleasant experience when it was over 30°C outside ...
Pros: Very friendly staff, everyone was welcoming and the hotel was clean and nice. We ate at the restaurant and the food was delicious so we'd recommend that. One of the best meals we have had and for a fair price.
Cons: The breakfast buffet was overrun with flies, they were on most items of food which was a shame as it looked really delicious but I didn't fancy it after seeing the flies.
Pros: We absolutely loved our dinner at the lovely courtyard: great food, very good wine and super cosy.
Pros: Located in a lovely village on the Wine Road. A well run, charming property with wellness spa. And elevator.
Cons: Everything was lovely.

The hotel provides a tour desk to help plan activities. Landau (Pfalz) West Train Station is 6.5 km from the property, and the A65 motorway is 12 minutes by car. Free parking is available.
Pros: Very friendly staff, very helpful, a lovely room, very clean. We had our evening meal at the hotel which was escellent.
Cons: Nothing we didn't like
Pros: Breakfast was delicious with a large assortment of local favorites. Staff were very friendly. Room was small, but served its purpose, and was immaculately clean.
Pros: The location is outstanding. You escape the main tourist route but remain deep in the winefields. The hotel is modern and spacious and solid, just as you imagine German hotels. A private, family hotel, with a top chef owner. The food is outstanding. The sense of calm and beauty wrapped in a family hotel is special.
Cons: The bathroom and shower could have been a fraction larger.
Pros: Really good place. Calm. Include restaurant. Good food.
Pros: the beds are extremely comfortable, and breakfast sumptuous.
Pros: Excellent restaurant for dinner. Beautiful area for walks and friendly people
With a stay at WeinHotel Fritz Walter in Niederhorbach, you'll be steps from Palatinate Forest Nature Park and a 5-minute drive from Südpfalz Therme. Featured amenities include complimentary newspapers in the lobby and refrigerator in a common area. Free self parking is available onsite.
Pros: Food and room style
Cons: No air conditioner. Else everything was perfect
Pros: Very beautiful little boutique hotel in the middle of germany's wine region. All four rooms are very tastefully decorated, filled with little designer features. The restaurant is extremely good. It's worth the stay, just to have dinner at the restaurant.
Villa Hochdörfer Gästehaus offers a garden and a terrace and is located in Landau in der Pfalz, surrounded by vineyards. Free Wi-Fi access is available and bikes can be rented from the property. Rooms at Villa Hochdörfer Gästehaus are bright and classically decorated. They each feature a view of the surrounding countryside, a flat-screen satellite TV and a private with a shower, hairdryer and free toiletries. A variety of restaurants serving both regional and international cuisine are just a 10-minute drive from the property. The centre of Landau can be reached in 10 minutes by car and Landau in der Pfalz Zoo is 3.5 km away. A range of activities can be enjoyed on site or in the surroundings, including cycling and hiking. The A65 motorway is an 8-minute drive away from Villa Hochdörfer Gästehaus, which also offers free private parking. Landau(Pfalz) Main Train Station is 5 km away.
Pros: Very friendly host and they were very flexible for our check-in time. As we had quite some distance to drive, it was difficult to know at what time we would arrive. It was no issue for them and we could arrive at the time we wanted. We had a parking spot just in front of the entrance (always nice when the weather is windy and rainy) The minibar in the room contained some small bottles of wine (of the Hochdörffer winery, of course! :): great way to end the day after a long travel... Very nice and delicious breakfast buffet! Both parents and kids enjoyed it!
Cons: Nothing particular
Pros: The breakfast was delicious! There was a wide assortment of savory and sweet breakfast items. Also there was yogurt or cereal. The owner welcomed and greeted every guest personally, which I thought was very sweet! Also one mini bottle of wine is complementary with the stay... and their wine is great!! The winery is also just a beautiful location. Great for morning walks or runs! They recommended an Italian restaurant for dinner (I am forgetting the name) but the pizza was delicious and the tiramisu was THE best I have ever had!
The Hotel Leinsweiler Hof is an ideal choice for travelers who want to take in the sights and sounds of Leinsweiler. It's easy to keep connected with the property's Wi-Fi in designated areas. This hotel makes a great place to kick back and relax after a long day of sightseeing.
Pros: The hotel is very nice, especially the pool is incredible. The room was very comfortable and clean, wifi worked perfectly and the breakfast buffet was great. It's a great place to escape hectic city life.
Cons: Around the hotel and in the small village of Leinsweiler isn't really anything to do. Almost no restaurants so to grab a bite to eat or get groceries you had to drive to a nearby city. We went to Landau quite a few times (about a 10 min drive). We dined at the hotel once but it was a little too expensive for my taste.
Pros: The view and surroundings
Pros: Nice hotel with beautiful surrondings of the German wine countryside
Pros: Wonderful location on a hill in the middle of vineyard fields. Very charming and peaceful area. The rooms may be not the most modern ones, but clean, spacious and comfortable. A great view from the restaurant terrace. The restaurant itself is somewhat pricey (as you don't have any alternative nearby), but the food is tasty. The breakfast is good. The pool, sauna and wellness area overall are excellent, really enjoyed swimming and chilling there in the evenings. The staff is friendly and welcoming. Will gladly come back again!
Cons: The only thing I missed was an electric kettle in the room. Would have been nice to make my own tea/coffee.

Popular activities in the surrounding area include hiking and cycling, and it is a 35-minute walk to the Trifels Castle. Pros: Very good breakfast. Beautiful clean room. Public free parking in front of the facility.
Cons: Nothing !
Pros: Very comfortable, central and happily minimal room ideal for travelers and hikers in particular. A nice little town, charming to walk about. We had a really nice dinner at a place called red beard. It was a happy stop on our Weinsteig. Oh, and good breakfast at a cafe right near the trail and owned by the iceworks. A really nice cafe! Included in room rate.
Cons: Nothing except the ice cream store below closed too early! Also be aware that you must pay in cash.
Pros: Clean spacious room. Wifi access. Free parking. Great location.
Cons: Had to ask for wifi password as not written down in room and how to check out but none of this was problematic.
Pros: See above
Pros: Location was great
Located in Annweiler am Trifels, Kurhaus Trifels is a 1-minute drive from Palatinate Forest Nature Park and 13 minutes from Trifels Castle. The front desk is staffed during limited hours. This hotel has 6 meeting rooms available for events. Free self parking is available onsite.
Pros: Nice restaurant on site and a very decent breakfast with plenty of choice.
Cons: Nothing not to like....
Pros: The staff, especially Emma were really helpful, and made us feel welcome despite not speaking German. The food in the restaurant was excellent, served with local wines at reasonable prices if you wanted that. The location looked very nice, with lots of walking trails nearby. The rooms were spotless
Cons: Didn’t like dogs being allowed in the breakfast room.
Pros: Lovely house with great views of the hills and Burg Trifels. It's very easy to find the hike trail for the castle (easy to drive also). WiFi was OK. Parking very good and free. The continental breakfast was really nice. There is a well lit pedestrian path in to Annweiller which takes about 15-20 mins.
Cons: Check out is unusually early especially for a small place like this - just beaware. No air-con and the windows didn't open fully.
Cons: A very brusque welcome, after a long journey, the first welcome was, sign in and pay now! Not very welcoming,
Pros: The hotel is beautiflly situated , The balcony of our room is one of best I have had in an hotel like this, with a stunning view.
Cons: The breakfast could have been more exciting, even though it was not bad
Pros: Staff very friendly and helpful.
Cons: Smoking area was outside the bedroom which means that the window can only be open when there are no smokers about.
Pros: On our way to the hotel we were phoned to inform us we were being moved to a sister hotel Villa Waldfrieden. On arriving at the hotel we were offered a very ordinary room but were eventually upgraded to a nice large Tower room with panoramic views over the village and valley. Breakfast was OK. Parked outside the door which was good.
Cons: We booked a hotel in a parkland setting with a superior room. The Villa Waldenfrieden guest house was in a suburban street There were 20 steps from car parking to reception and 60 steps to climb to our room. No hotel facilities other than a breakfast room. No lift, no porterage and at €120 expensive.
Pros: Beautiful location
Cons: Hard beds
Pros: Very quiet location in a beautiful scenery.
Cons: Breakfast only starts at 8u30 so being awake at 6u with a baby is not convenient in this hotel. We had the impression the hotel was not managed very well. They nearly lost the babyfood. Some of the personnel are very friendly and helpful and some others are really not client oriented. Also we were suprised that a "kurhotel" does not have any wellness facilities. It feels like a hotel without a soul. A pity as the location is fantastic.

Pros: Lovely hotel ina lovely area. Good evening meal with good servicediff
Cons: Difficult to find not very clear instructions on how to find this lovely hotel
Pros: We could eat there, but no restaurant open fro July 10th to late July. We walked to a pub near.
Cons: Not wifi.
Pros: The best breakfast we'd had all week - i.e. bacon and eggs! We loved the restaurant with its working water wheel, and the Italian staff were very friendly and helpful
Cons: Tea/coffee making in the room would have been useful, and although we managed to park, there isn't really an official parking area
Pros: Lovely location. Very good breakfast and my husband's lactose intolerance was very well catered for
