Polish waiter lovely
Central and easy access to town. Private parking Lacking atmosphere especially at breakfast time
The hotel is very convenient and it is nice to be able to park so close. The slope to the car park was very slippy and could have done with some grit. The bathroom was cold, the picture on the television was very poor.
conveinience to town needs upgrading bathroom poor room cold
Spacious, central, excellent parking facility Single room very poor condition and of much inferior quality to that of double.
We liked the location of the hotel very much, very central. the hotel itself was great as were the rooms. Queuing for breakfast in the morning as several things for hot breakfast had run out and my elderly father is not capable of standing for long periods so I had to do it for him and also for me.
Staff-very friendly, welcoming and efficient. Room - fine. Breakfast - excellent. Would recommend to others. None.
Nice receptionist Poor bar cover Dirty unatractive bathroom, air out take fan clogged with dust & skin.
Location was good and the bar had a very active crowd. Even the house magazine stated that the rooms needed refurbishment which is apparently planned for some time in the future. The bedroom we had on the third floor was small and the furniture chipped and well worn.
I didn't enjoy my stay at the White Hart Hotel. My room was cold and most night I was absolutely freezing even with all the blankets on. On the first morning there was no hot water on shower and the draining system made horrible squak noise all the time when shower was on. see above
Bar staff were very friendly and helpful. Room 310 far too small ! Suffocating ! More minor points were no soap in container above sink. Didn't get requested alarm call or newspaper on first morning - computer programme blamed. Although quite friendly, receptionist on Sunday morning very agitated and obviously sadly appeared to be quite out of control, resulting in everyone in the queue shaking their heads.
Very friendly staff
distance to airport and to restaurant next door nothing
Location - very close to Leeds Bradford airport. Also easily reached by public transport. The corridor smelt of stale cigarettes
Nice friendly staff. Easy to find. Hotel nice and clean, Liked the ground floor room Low bed, slippy bath, hand rails not in right place for me, room cold on arrival (although the room was changed on arrival to move us further away from the main door which was thoughtful of the receptionist. Cracked tiles around 2 of the grab rails in the bathroom and black mould in some of the grouting
Just as expected generally. Great staff, friendly and helpful especially the delightful cheerful girl in the breakfast room! Bedroom cool which was great as so many unbearably hot - we could control temp too. Only one towel in room when prebooked for two people. No remote tv control. Room smelled stuffy on arrival - ? old smoking room so suggest curtains washed as that may deal with problem!
warm welcome, speedy registration, clean and comfortable room, alarm call on the dot.
Lovely, Friendly, Spacious, Clean and close to everything None
The receptionist was very attentive and helpful. She helped us with all our queries at checkon our departure.
Covenience to airport and Beefeater Restaurant Surlyness of Receptionist and offhand maner...did not feel welcome but interrupting her day!
Overnight stay convenient due to location. Clean and lovely breakfst
The large bedroom, bathroom, very clean leisure club, nice plants and friendly staff. Looking very tired, needing paint and some renovation.
Leisure club, breakfast decor needed updating; paint peeling and dated furniture, but otherwise comfortable
Quite happy and comfotabls. Nothing
Close to where I wanted to go in the evening. Just the water in the room.
Staff were very accomodating. Room very comfortable and hotel very convenient for conference centre. excellent value foe money None
The staff were very warm and friendly and though busy they smiled and tried to help at all times. The bed linen was particularly nice quality and the bed was very comfortable. The new decor in the bar and lounge is very 'boutique' hotel and smart but lacks some of the 'old fashioned charm' I have enjoyed at the St George in the past. The bathroom needed updating as the towel rail did not heat up.
Best single room ever, bath as well as shower and lots of space. Central location. Large comfortable lounge area. Varied menu with good food. Car park. Awkward spacing and very cramped
food good sport facilities good Restaraunt service a little slow. No vegetarian option sausages at breakfast and only one vegetarian option at lunch others all meat options
Good location for town centre and Valley Gardens. We found the staff to be very efficient and the food very good.
Location - absolutely perfect for exploring the town and for attending the Kintting and Stitching show.
fair prices in the bar jack johnson music all the time. petty i know but it get to you in the end
The staff were unfailingly friendly and efficient. Also, the accommodation is very unusual -- my room was in a superbly built log cabin within the woods about two minutes walk from the main hotel building -- great facilities (free wireless Internet, swimming pool, gym) and sense of tranquility. The food is excellent too -- I ate in the bar and in the restaurant and both served reasonably meals of an unusually high standard.
It was a delight - in a great situation in the woods which made it easy for doggy walking. I and my dog were made to feel very welcome
The total relaxation, the beautiful surroundings, the restauant was excellent and apart from the private hot tub not working on the first night everything was perfect.
Relaxing atmosphere and enjoyable pool and jacussi Poor service at breakfast opened jams at table not informed of breakfast routine
The rooms were ok. Hotel is very dated, my shower did not work and breakfast did not start until 7.30 meaning that as I was travelling on business and had an early start I could not eat breakfast. They did offer some toast however.
The staff were excellent as was the quality of food. Unfortunately the weather was poor during our stay and the roure tot he hotel from the lodges was waterlogged.
The bar / restaurant Cleanliness and heat of room!
The spa is great and the evening dining was nice. Lovely location. Room was shabby and in need of serious TLC.
Intimate, romantic, relaxing. Food was amazing as were the views and the room. No slippers in the room enquirer about them twice as they. Were on the booking. Only confirmed to me on checking out none available but got surcharge on room service escorted which made up for it. But a phone call or visit to the room with an update would have helped
Excellent breakfast and comfortable bed.
Well run, efficient, clean , comfortable public areas. very good breakfast Felt the room was not of a standard we expected for price we paid. No drawers or tables, no shelves, very small "bathroom" Wash Basin being in the room. This was mentioned to the proprietor, and a reasonable explanation was given.
The location was very good, only a 5 minute walk away from the centre of Harrogate, and the breakfast was excellent.
Prompt efficient and friendly staff who checked us in and assisted with local restaurants local map and parking arrangements near the hotel. Also access into the hotel due to late return We ordered a double room and two single beds were pushed together however the bed overall was still comfortable
Extremely well situated for town centre and conference centre. Quiet street, available parking and close to main line station. Friendly, helpful staff, excellent breakfast. Single rooms not as good as doubles and probably noisier.
Hotel had a nice lounge with an honesty Bar and was in close proximity to the town centre Our room was very small was more of a single room than a double yet we paid for a double. Wireless Internet although advertised as a fast connection was almost non existant infact my web connection on my Mobile phone was faster. The breakfast room was badly managed and understaffed as there were a number of free spaces at the tables but guests were turned away and told to come back after twenty minutes.
Very friendly and trusting staff (they have a self service bar that works on a honesty system. A nice touch in this day and age. ), close to town centre, quiet location, excellent breakfast. All in all it was perfect for us.
The bar and relaxing tv viewing area. Vacum left in my room.
Easy walking distance to town.Tastefully decorated dining room.Comfy Bed. Room too small and shower cubicle small.
Good Location, good free breakfast. Room was kind of small.
Pleasant and friendly service, good location
Owner was nice. They re-used a towel I asked to be replaced. They simply folded it up and left it damp. There was no "pub" in the B&B. Others I have been in did
lovely old house, well maintained, very comfortable wlecoming room. good breakfast, slept soundly and would go back gladly
great hotelliers colin and brenda room 2 decor needs a refurbishment
Was made very welcome, and every comfort was provided
Very clean hotel. Rooms well decorated. Hotel manager was friendly and helpful. Well located near to shopping centre. Enjoyable one night stay at affordable price. Excellent breakfast included.
Friendly Staff. Excellent Facilities. Close To City Centre,Resteraunts, etc. No.
Central location and good value
Thank you VERY much for a nice stay and very friendly and personal service. Please look into your WLAN system - it worked at the next hotel
convenient located, excellent breakfast, very kind owners
A small but very friendly and hospitable Guest House with the little extras included which makes a house guest feel appreciated and welcomed. No, not at all
Beautiful village, good service. Accommodated our preferences.
The room was very comfortable and spacious, and the house is in a quiet area yet near to all amenities. The hosts made us very welcome. No
The hotel is central and amenities within walking distance, the owners are very welcoming, serving a choice of breakfast.(delicious)
Owners very helpful
Very friendly. It was like visiting family no
very relaxed and casual, lovely breakfast and excellent friendly hosts. would have liked a radio with good reception in room, perhaps digital linked to TV?
everything was super from food, to the warm welcome. n/a
The staff were very friendly and helpful The chef for the Brasserie was having a bad night - we sent something back which was returned perfect, so no complaints, then we saw 2 other groups having similar problems with food! The way the restaurant staff dealt with the problems was excellent and very professional.
Parking and service The dinning area and cost of the menu
Quiet, friendly staff. Food a little dull. Chip oil/very suspect. But on the whole not bad.
Peaceful and quiet compared to other hotels Poor service at breakfast - not easy to get tea and coffee
Location and setting excellent Evening meal was expensive set against the quality and variety of local competition.
The meal we had in the Hotels Bistro restaurant was execellent as was the breakfast. Thought the bed was a bit hard.
Helpful staff The noise in the corridors from guests and staff delivering newspapers.
Unfortunately the stay was not good- nothing to reccomend Food was expensive and very poor. Many foreign staff with poor communication skilss, Not value for money
Quietness 1 security . 2 Room not made up until 17.00hrs 3 No T.V. reception for 2 days
From arriving to leaving theHotel we were made to feel very special. We loved it and would definetly recommend the hotel to all our friends. Absolutely notHing to complain about
Breakfast very good,lots of choice
everything the breakfast was superb, great room evening meal good would definately stay here again
Nice comfortable Hotel in good position, friendly staff and good accommodation with everything needed to hand Room rather small, one would expect a 5' bed in most hotels these days.
The complimentary wine, water etc in room. Attention to detail. Cleanliness and decor of room.
Reasonable sized room with superb view. The Tv in my room was just above my head and I frequently hit my head on it and I am not a tall person. It could easily have been mounted higher or on another wall. ? health & safety issue.
room, breakfast and location to town centre
The hotel was lovely and was in a good location. The food was fantastic We had booked a table at the restuarant before we arrived but when I checked it they said they didn't have it which meant we had to eat 2 hours later than planned. They did give us a bottle of wine as compensation though which was good. There isn't really a nice bar area in the hotel so we went into town for a drink instead. The restaurant was cold
very nice breakfast staff, together with a very nice breakfast
Pleasant room, nice and clean.
I thought the hotel was comfortable and it was just what we were looking for, for a great wkend Everything was great.
Was a bit apprehensive after reading some of the reviews, but the staff were lovely and we got a free upgrade to a executive room. It had been snowing in Harrogate when we arrived and the hotel was lovely and warm and welcoming. In a great location for shops, bars and restaurants.
Room was recently refurbished with new bathroom. Also it was a suite at no extra charge. Parking is provided free right outside the hotel. Its a well placed hotel in easy walking distance of town. This is an old style hotel, albeit refurbished in many areas. Don't book this if you like a modern feel to your surroundings.
Very enjoyable in every way. The only thing against it was the heat in the bedroom and bathroom it was stifling
Classic old world ambience Additional fee for reservation and additional fee to pay by credit card or slightly less to pay by debit card. In my 30 years of business travel I have never had to pay a credid card surcharge for a hotel room.
friendly staff - responsive to requests banging noise in room - staff attended but were unable to trace source of noise
the friendliness of the staff and service my room was over the disco and i was very disturbed till the early hours of the morning . iwas offered a room change arround 11.30pm but that after 3 days work was not the answer ,however i was compensated on my account so that went someway into making up .
staff very friendly, good food everything just perfect gin and tonic a little dear ha ha
Its central location, good food and customer service. The bathroom was too small and it was sometimes impossible to get hot water.
restuarant! facilities and design of bathroom. bed linen sub standard. uncomfortable chairs
As terms were room only, I had the choice of having a meal at what ever time of the day I was in the hotel. There was only one selection of bitter beer, John Smiths.
The staff can not do enough to help in person and on the Telephone,Each time myself and family have used this hotel we are very pleased and recommend it to our friends and family.
Reasonable bar drinks price Rooms are in need of TLC
hotel looks lovely on appearance unless you get put in a room in the second part of the hotel, along way from reception, have to walk through to another joint on building, which was awful and looked like you were walking into a hostel. the second part of the building was awful. honestly you havent seen anything like it. the hotel was £59 for a friday night and £5 to the airport and £5 back from the airport on a fly and park stay which was ok, no breakfast, 1 tea bag and 1 pack of two biscuits for two of us! dated bathroom with mould, overall i didnt feel safe staying in this room which looked like the door had been kicked in once!! room, location, open window droppin over huge valley very dangerous with kids, breakfast of no kind available and disturbing unclean room.
Staff were very friendly and helpful n/a
easy road access ,plesent staff, the view.
Just stayed for one night good value for money very clean Room needs a good refurbishment
quietness of the room, quality of the food nothing
Proximity to Airport
clean, comfortable and good food at reasonable price. No negative comments
Location was just right for a visit to the conference centre, which is just a few minutes walk.
evening meal was nice, and fair value for money breakfast was not value for money; cheap toilet paper; no signs saying we could not access path to town (barrier in situ)
the room was lovely and seemd to be one of the better oneslots of space for twins (19mths) to run around smell of paint, scaffolding, over priced cold and missing food for room service, bangers and mash very poor quality and choice what you would expect at a marriot, hotle looked tired in pasrt and was vacious, seemd like a business hotel not somewhere to take the family or for a romantic break
Nothing we were in a 4 staff building in a 2 star hotel Bathroom had mouled and tills falling of the walls, iron missing and radiator not working in all a verytired hotel for £130 for room only
Everything at the Paramount Majestic Hotel (Harrogate) was excellent and i enjoyed my time there.
The view and the breakfast
special August price and large size of room with good sofa in it!
The hotel was a very impressive building in a great location, 5 minutes walk from the centre. Our refurbished room was large and comfortable. The Spa was not luxurious but very enjoyable. Overall a very enjoyable stay. Charge for car parking - would rather it was built into the room price. Part of the hotel was being worked on due to a fire earlier in the year but obviously this work has to be done!
The staff at reception were particularly friendly and welcoming which set the tone for out stay. The hotel was magnificent in terms of size and space and the refurbished room was of a high standard. The dining room was magnificent and large with beautiful chandelliers and decorative wall features. However, the beauty of the room could not be appreciated because of the ugly clash of colours and patterns on the walls, carpets and soft furnishings. A simple interior design scheme involving harmonious colours and patterns would raise the quality of the hotel. This could be achieved very simply.
I liked it all, 10out of 10
The food at breakfast should have been served hotter. It was nearly cold even though it was in heated containers.
the staff were friendly disappointed with the choices at breakfast
Location and breakfast were excellent Unfortunately the windows and doors rattled all night which meant I did not get any sleep. I don't know if that was just my room but it would stop me stopping there again if it applied to all the rooms.
the bed was not comfortable
I booked a twin room with 2 extra beds for our 6 and 4 year olds. When we went into our room we had 2 rooms with 2 en-suites and a connecting door which was infinitely better than I expected. I was very impressed with the facilities and the shower was superb.
Excellent location, good breakfast and very good value A bit tired looking and noisy at night
The location of the Hotel and parking is ideal for shopping and sight seeing in Harrogate The Hotel room was the smallest hotel room I have ever stayed in anywhere. The wardrobe door touched the bed when open.
The organisation by the staff was very good Nothing, it was perfect
The location - very near to the shops, Betty's and Graveley's. The only thing I did not like was the bed. It was very very uncomfortable, so I was unable to sleep very much at all during my stay.
size of room was good also large bathroom long wait to check in as only one receptionist
enjoyed my visit to harrogate to meet up with family and see events the cairns hotel made it that much better
Convenience, cost, friendly Room was a little bit chilly but ok for sleeping - it was extremely cold outside.
old world characture car parking not very good
Warm welcome - staffenabled us to bookin early with no fuss Breakfast uninspirational
'Old school' hotel in a great location. Fabulous for large groups.
The location was ideal for visiting Harrogate being only 10 minutes walk away from the centre. The twin room I had was comfortable and spacious, staff were friendly and helpful. The buffet breakfast was excellent with the choice of hot and cold food. The hotel could do with refurbishing as the decor is dated and worn but that wouldn't deter me from staying again.
Excellent Breakfast no
self serve buffet breakfast
The quality of the room was excellent very spacious and comfortable, staff very very friendly and saw to any needs very quickly, and the quality of the food both in the restaurant and the bar was fantastic Were not told that there was an exhibition that week and that there would be next to no parking spaces except on the grass which turned to mud in the rain
Excellent location for the purpose of our visit TOHhARROGATE.VERY Good food, excellent staff, caring, courteous and very professional in carrying out their duties. Excellent accommodation. Thoroughly deserving of meeting its high standards of service. Nothing to dislike
Very helpful owner, laid back but efficent, great breakfast!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Great accommodation very friendly Comfortable beds very good for shopping
The guest house was very warm, the room was also very warm.It was quite friendly. Nothing really, apart from I am a disabled lady and the bedroom was upstairs, but this was my fault as i did not make this clear when booking.
personal touch, great breakfast, friendly staff, room was spotlessly clean and warm and comfortable
Excellent as usual None
The quality of hotel for the price and the location
The beds were really comfortable. The breakfast was excellent. The host Dave was very welcoming. The garden was delightful for this time of year with a lot of decorative wellington boots all sizes, patterns and colours with plants adorning them. No complaints
Friendliness of owners. Convenient location.
comfortable bed, good host, proxemity to town centre
Friendly owners and staff made us very welcome, comfortable and clean rooms, excellent location for visiting town and International centre
comfort,good food and service no
The friendliness/helpfulness of the staff who couldn't have done more for us. Bit hard to find first time in the dark - perhaps a lit sign would help?
Very pleasant hotel and room was well appointed and comfortable. The breakfast was excellent and well cooked and the staff very helpful, even with one difficult guest!. Very attractive surroundings and close to the town centre a short walk away. Pleasant woodlands and parklands at the back of the hotel. All round a hotel to recommend.
