10.0 Excellent
Pros: Lovely friendly proprietors
8.8 Excellent
Pros: Welcoming hosts, after I had booked Nicky emailed to let me know there was no TV in any of their rooms as they are so small which was very thoughtful of her. We had a comfortable night in our cosy room, helped by the beautifully soft bedding. There was a lovely view from our window and a coffee machine and fresh milk (in a flask) which was so much nicer than sachets of coffee and UHT milk. We ended our stay with a delicious cooked breakfast, particularly nice sausages and the best toast ever.
Cons: The weather was really cold when we stayed so a heated towel rail or other small heater in the bathroom would have been appreciated.

Pros: Lovely, friendly, helpful couple, always willing to assist with local information etc. Well cooked choice of breakfast and food. Excellent outside garden space and views, easy to locate with a bus service passing by. Onsite ample safe parking.
Cons: En suite shower bathroom, good size, but had no extractor. Sadly small crittal metal window in poor condition with cracked glass, did not try to open for fear of issues? Shower lacked water flow. Bedroom 6 good, with all the normal bits, but on the smaller size and felt cramped, needed some TLC and better positioned 13amp power sockets. Can be a tad quite at times.

9.3 Excellent
Pros: An excellent service, beautiful setting, clean room and nice garden.
6.8 Good
Pros: It was a nicely decorated property and the staff were friendly and helpful . It was a nice touch to have a bottle of water in the room.
Cons: For the money it did seem a lot for what you got. They could make some simple improvements and I feel it would make the stay that extra bit special. It might even save staff time too. Breakfast- you had to ask for juice and coffee . It appeared that it was a filter coffee and for us would have been better if you could help yourself from the filter and not have to wait for staff. This would also save staff time. The same for juice and water, would be helpful if a jug of water and juice was out for breakfast too. It would also be handy if sauces were out for guests and you didn’t have to ask. Just a suggestion as guests had to wait and it would save staff time. Room - the internet didn’t seem to work at all and the instructions didn’t seem to be relevant to what you actually had to do . Took you to a page called net gear and not sure what you had to do following that. No instructions on net gear. Key was also very temperamental for the room Overall it was a pleasant stay and these are just suggestions to help staff in future and guests.
9.5 Excellent
Pros: Bed was excellent.... Staff were very helpful.. Location was excellent.
Cons: Although gluten free things were on the menu and were excellent the hotel perhaps needs to be more switched on for gluten free. For example at breakfast bacon was gluten free but has contained in same hot tray that non gluten free items were hence my very gluten intolerant son could not risk eating it. Also no one knew at the hotel if the breakfast suasage was gluten free or not. No gluten free cereals on offer which again could be easily resolved by providing an extra ceral packet or gluten free porridge option. Apart from this everything at hotel was excellent.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: The staff were charming and helpful. Zoe even drove us to our event as we were unable to obtain a taxi! The bar is cosy and well stocked and the breakfast was superb. Our room was perfectly decorated and the bed was very comfortable. We shall certainly return for a walking weekend as this is an area of outstanding beauty.

9.3 Excellent
Pros: Hospitality, great service, lovely breakfast. A very comfortable and cosy place. Next time, we'll stay longer.
Cons: Actually, it was a wonderful stay. Only minor point was that we stayed on a Monday evening ... when their restaurant is closed. However, the owners gave us a ride into town and back. Great !
8.8 Excellent
Pros: The room was clean and the staff very friendly. The scenery around the area is beautiful
Cons: We had a room at the front and the main road is very busy

10.0 Excellent
Pros: The accommodation was clean and comfortable and provided with a TV and a good supply of tea and coffee. After our long walk during the day we decided to have an evening meal. I would certainly recommend the steak and ale pie, it was fantastic. The full English breakfast was good and we were provided with sandwiches for our walk that day.
Cons: Everything was fine, our only suggestion would be to provide some hooks in the bathroom to hang towels and clothes.

Pros: welcoming staff; generous food portions; quiet location; off-street parking
Cons: damaged shower nozzle holder
7.6 Good
Pros: Very friendly, country pub style. Excellent food, good beer
Cons: External steep stairs to bedrooms
4.8 Okay
Pros: The friendliness of the owners, staff and local customers. The food was excellent at both breakfast and evening meals. Bacon was the real thing!
Cons: The shower in the room was a little 'hit and miss'. The temperature control was not working so had to 'dance' around the shower.
8.0 Excellent
Pros: The cleanliness of the hotel rooms were fantastic. The beds were very comfortable and the bedlinen was superb. The staff at the hotel were very welcoming and attentive to all requests. Overall I would recommend it for anyone who wants an overnight stay.
Cons: There was only one bad point and that was some dog excrement in the hall from the rooms to the dinning room, which unfortunately I trod in. However the staff made sure my shoes were cleaned. It was an unfortunate incident for which I believe a one off, and the staff were very appologetic.
7.2 Good

Pros: The beds were so very comfy, with beautiful cotton linen - probably the most comfortable beds we've slept on away from home! The room was really nice, such a pretty, relaxing decor, with a lovely en suite, including a bath. A lot of thought has gone into the rooms - such attention to detail. I liked the fan in the room too. A nice touch. The staff were delightful - so helpful and kind and the breakfasts were excellent. We ate in the restaurant on one evening, and the meal was really good too, with a good choice of meals.
Cons: Nothing at all.

Cons: I was kept awake by drum and bass music emanating from the flat above the pub. Otherwise all was fine

Pros: Excellent place and excellent staff. Food excellent. Price too high, apparently we had a room for four when we only needed it for two. Felt like double the price!

9.5 Excellent
Pros: Bev was a wonderful host and the accommodation was suited to our needs. The room was clean and well equipped and Bev was Particularly helpful with her knowledge of the local area
Cons: Booking.com did not specify that the room was a room in someone's home which would have been useful to know- mainly due to the fact that we knew we were going to come back late and drunk.
9.3 Excellent
Pros: Bed was comfy and shower was also very good with plenty of room inside the cubicle Beverley was very friendly . This is a very quiet area day and night .You will have no problem sleeping here.
Cons: A few too many plantpots on the driveway for my liking but perhaps I am being too fussy
9.3 Excellent
Pros: The location with it's access to the village and countryside, the friendliness of the hostess, Beverley, and the community, was unsurpassed. The room, though quite small, had a lot of facilities sometimes not found in BnBs (fridge, microwave, toaster, electric jug, and a very diverse selection of cereals, teas and jams)
Cons: The room was a little cluttered, perhaps because so much was included, so that anyone with 1. mobility issues would have found it a little confining as the double bed was against the wall on one side, or 2. a lot of luggage as there would be no place put it, and 3. the toilet was immediately outside the room (but actually quite private from the rest of the house).
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Very nice B&B: nice location in the beautiful little town of Bucknell!
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Great location, quiet and easy to find, good base for walks and visiting Shropshire towns and villages. Super clean room with good facilities and all the things that make your stay more convenient and pleasant, everything was well thought of: there was a microwave, plates and cutlery, biscuits, cereals, food for breakfast in the fridge, bottles of water... Also there were books and brochures with maps and places to see which we found very useful for planning our walks. But most importantly Beverley was extremely helpful, gave us a lift to Knighton, answered all our questions, recommended places to visit, etc. Overall the stay exceeded our expectations and we would definitely go back.
10.0 Excellent

Cons: nothing
5.8 Okay
Pros: Nice host - bed and shower ok- exactely on John o groat's route the bookstore 1km away
Cons: the atmosphere, the decoration is really cheesy, ...
10.0 Excellent
Pros: This is one of the best places that I have ever stayed in. The landlady, Bev, is a perfect hostess and helped me in every way, especially in giving me lifts to Knighton to help me in my exploration of Offa's Dyke. Bucknell is a lovely little village with reliable bus and train connections; it also has two pubs and a shop/garage. The room was exactly as shown, extremely quiet and spotless. I cannot recommend this B and B highly enough, whether it be for solo travellers such as myself, or for couples. The house is on the edge of the village but very close to the station and two minutes' walk from the bus-stop. Everything was lovely! :-)
Cons: Everything was perfect!
