Visit the Maginot Line
It was cheap and good. Nice location. No a/c - a minus when you travel with a small child
The lady at the front desk was very nice. Newer building. Requested non-smoking room but didn't receive one. I wish the room had a mini-refrigerator.
Easy access, ample parking.
The location of the hotel was ideal for visiting the area around Metz, and particularly the Maginot Line. It was a lovely quiet village, very French in character, with cafe, bakers and supermarket. The hotel itself was modern and well-maintained. The studio appartment we rented was perfect for a family, and comfortable enough. The kitchen facilities were very useful, although needed a bit of attention The ktichen facilities needed attention and could have been better equipped
The rooms were tired, the resteraunt gloomy but over priced and there was next to no facilities in the village. The rooms were un carpeted, there was a fridge and a cooker??? . It was just not pleasant.
The room was clean and basic requirements met. Quiet area with plenty of parking. The price was very reasonable, but you dont get much for the money. There was no one on reception during our stay you had to go into the resturant to check in and out. The staff spoke no english and made no attempt to communicate. Service in the bar was awful you had to go inside and order again language was a problem. The resturant was very expensive and there is no where locally to eat so take something with you if you dont want to pay ott. Also miles from the motorway if you are looking for a stopover dont bother.
Clean and comfy. Breakfast choice very limited.
The restaurant----excellent a la carte menu with our choices of dinner being excellent. Very good value: very good restaurant.
Excellent restaurant, friendly staff
Quiet for a hotel right off of the highway. Great for cross country transit. Address a bit misleading as google map showed it right in the center of the highway.
This a a good stop over if you are driving from any direction in this region directly off the autoroute, we were coming from Paris to Germany and just needed an easy claen stop.
access to road network and shops no indoor pool
The location suited my purpose €28 for a basic breakfast seems expensive
efficient operations, with good rooms and located near highway. food was not outstanding, although it looked promising.
Easy to find location and a spacious room. The air cone did not work even on full,so we spent a very sticky uncomfortable night indeed!
Excellent overnight stay - easy to find and excellent location for a stop-over on route, close to the motorway.
convenient close to major roads. Quiet. Restaurant food not great, but expensive. Not what I would call value for money. Location good for travel but not if you want to go out in the evening.
This is an older Novotel, but very well run by a good Manager and a happy staff. The restaurant is modern and pleasant. It's not gourmet standard, but the food is of good quality and well prepared. and presented. There are no Superior rooms at this Novotel.
Only the location This hotel is very badly run and of very poor Quality the food was dreadfull and extremely overpriced!!! Please feel free to contact me if you require more information
We made a bike trip on the river mosel and stayed in this hotel for 2 nights. It is located in the centre of a little town between Metz and Thionville. Some minutes from the hotel there's a huge park with swimming, golf, ski, etc. The room was very clean as we got it, but they didn't clean the room during our stay.
The Lady at reception was very nice and helpful and the gentleman serving breakfast was very nice too, nothing to say bad I felt comfortable and safe. none
Wifi/internet tv Showersytem was incomplete
The rooms were very basic and on the smaller side but very clean! In the double room the mattress was not very comfortable for sleeping.
very pleasant and helpful staff - very cheap - free parking
Nice owner, tries and works hard Old building and interior, no wifi, noisy (street and guests), 1960's french beds (too short for comfort), window shutters could not be secured to stay open.
A very enjoyable stay at this hotel with very friendly staff.I liked the newly decorated breakfast room, and the breakfast itself was very good. The window shutter, perhaps one not so heavy.
In a handy possion None
Bucolic and quiet setting. Hotel is located off a local highway far away and secluded enough to avoid distractions. Hotel staff were friendly and helpful. Rooms are very small and the beds need replacing. Wi-fi is a bit 'spotty' but available. The in-house restaurant is both pleasant and enjoyable but a little pricey for the experience. (75 Euro for a party of two)
A very good restaurant next door. Very friendly staff that spoke English.
The food in the restaurant was fantastic. Breakfast was a little disappointing in that there were not enough tables prepared and available for the number of guests wanting breakfast and only one member of staff was on breakfast duty
Easy to find from motorway - good traditional restaurant Minor critism - no hot water in morning but only stayed 1 night so may have been a one off
Very convenient location to break a journey. Pleasant building and grounds. Only a bath with handheld shower - I much prefer having a shower.
Excellent food, and very friendly and helpful staff. Even the groundsman helped me out!
Great value for the money, and the staff where helpful though we did not speak french well. I would love to stay there again. Also breakfast was included and was spectacular. No complaints.
Easy proximity to CDG airport Tiny room, but adequate. No other activities nearby. Location is in business office park which is lovely, but nothing going on at night.
I thought the time of departure of 12.00 noon was good, as there was no frantic rush on the morning of departure.
the room was not suitable for three adults as stated. the towels were grey. all facilities were only for two people, had to ask for 3rd towel. . breakfast was very poor, having to ask for more juice, rolls etc. have stayed in campaniles before and service been fine, this one wasn't.
It is right off the high way. room is kind of old and bed squicks.
Convenient for the motorway. Quality of food was very poor by Campanile standards.
We have stayed at Campanile Hotels many times. Usually excellent staff and facilities. The Woippy staff appeared disinterested the food was below average and the room heaters did not function. Tere were only 2 small pillows. We stayed twice on our outward and return journey and were told initially that we could not stay at the Campanile on our return trip, and we would be booked in at another Hotel. We were later told that we could stay at the Campanile. We asked to see the wine list (I speak reasonable French) and were brought a bottle of red and white without other choice Seemed to be in need of re decoration
Rooms spacious and the restaurant "sur place" I don't eat very much at breakfast, so I felt that 8 euros for breakfast was too much (for those of us who just want a coffee).
Friendly staff, resteraunt on site Nothing
Typically for a Campanille located out of a centre, but Woippy is within easy reach of motorways, supermarket and village of Woippy. Excellent value.
Perfect Airco not very strong
You know what you are getting when you stay at a Campanle Hotel. They are usually situated on the edge of a town which makes finding the location easier than at an Ibis which are usually located within a town/city and there is always a restaurant which makes for a pleasant ending after a long day of driving. The air-conditioning in the bedroom was super! During the day we had temperatures of 36 degrees c and the room would have been a furnace otherwise. The complimentary coffee in the room was awful, in fact, it was worse than awful, I have had some bad coffee in my time but it took the biscuit!!!! Talking of biscuits - why are there no packets of biscuits in the room as they once were? It was one of the things that we looked forward to when we arrived - a cup of reasonable coffee and a biscuit before a shower and a relaxing meal in the restaurant.
Easy to find, cheap and cheerful motel, room adeqaute with tv & kettle, restaurant handy. Restaurant meal of lamb a 'special' was too chewy but my friend's cheese omlette was excellent.
Situated directly in the center, nice surroundings, parking (public, some walk time away). Staff friendly. We got exactly that what was on the pictures. Spiral staircase, no elevator. Staff speaks only french. We had a lot of bags, so we had to carry it on foot to the parking lot, and then up a tight spiral staircase.
Nice, simple breakfast with quiet outside patio. Room was a nice size and very clean. Was bothered by church bells which rang through the night....not sure why they don't stop at 2200.
THE SILENCE. THE LOCATION IN TOWN'S CENTER. VERY NICE OWNERS. NICE BREAKFAST. WELCOMING. NO ELEVATOR
The location is central and on a pedestrian street. I was able to check in early (thus allowing me to leave my luggage and go to visit Fort Hackenberg). My room was clean, tidy and comfortable, overlooking the rear courtyard. The hotel provided storage space for my bicycle in a lockup garage (this is quite important as cycling along the Moselle valley is becoming quite popular). The breakfast is of the buffet 'all you can eat' type.
Town centre location convenient for restaurants, etc. Lack of hotel carpark. Public carparking nearby.
Very nice hotel, easy to find, free night parking nearby (Place du Republique). Breakfast is good value for money.
Clean, good facilities, hard working staff with high standards No parking
It's clean, value for money and well situated. Parking
close to sncf station
Location, cleaness Receptionist did not speek english almost at all, but eventually everything was sorted out.
Convenient for the the town centre and station, helpful staff . Secure storage for our bicycles.
Very friendly staff who looked fter us very well
The breakfast was alittle bit poor, but so was also the price
nice hotel and good food
Food was quite good but very pricey lack of air conditioning
The staff were all very helpful. We appreciated the antique furniture in the room and the views from the room.
The staff were extremely friendly and helpful
very peaceful, beautiful views and setting, helpful and attentive staff. excellent food.
Warm welcome, very friendly staff. the restaurant and quality of food was exceptionally good and it was nice to end the evening with a coffee on the terrace overlooking Thionville.
Nice new fine sauna, friendly serviceminded staff, pittoresque romantic french interior. Welltasting dinner. The breakfast was too French for me who want to have a large continental selection of the breakfast. The bed was a littlle bit hard, and the room could have been warmer.
The view Tired Looking
It was great to have a bath after driving up from Italy via Switzerland! What luxury! Very good dinner in the restaurant. No curtains at the window... Then I discovered the blind in the morning!
Very simple but nicely kept in a family way. Very good food in a nice dinning room and well serviced. We had a corner room and internet wifi was too weak. Had to go to bar to use it.
Clean and tidy. Good breakfast.
The meals were excellent and good value. Fully booked - so popular.
The rooms were large with a spacious bathroom and clean bedding and towels. There was a large carpark with ample parking space. There was a slight smell on entering my room. The base of the bed underneath the matress was worn with the contents spilling out. The bed was quite hard. The bathroom ceiling looked in need of redecorating. The carpet was also very stained and in need of replacement.
good size room, clean, comfortable, a good breakfast. They did not light the outside of the hotel well so it was difficult to find at night.
Friendly receptionist on arrival (younger girl) answered all questions. Rooms clean and had everything needed. Breakfast was adequate. Shower in one of the rooms was broken and there was no immediate way to fix it. Luckily we had two rooms so shuffled between them. Receptionist in morning (older dyed blonde lady) was a grumpy old mare. Unhelpful with the shower issue and got the hump with people who sat at certain tables depsite there being no signs to say where to sit and her not telling anyone. This wasn't just us she seemed to have an issue with everyone. I almost felt guiltyeating the food. Maybe her high heels were digging in! The bar was shut very early (9pm) and there is nothing (and I mean nothing) in the vicinity to walk to. On arrival I asked if there was somewhere to eat locally and this was greeted with surprise then a list of options about a mile away.
We booked the hotel because it had a locked garage. It didn't work. The room wasn't well cleaned.
Very nice reception staff. Helpful and pleasant. Triple room for our children opposite a double room for parents -- very convenient for a family. Restaurant was closed for the month.
Acceptable hotel for visiting Metz. A little difficult to find.
Friendly staff, basic but clean rooms, very fast free WiFi-connection
The restaurant...food was excellent Tea facilities in room would of been nice
Value for money Staff could not speak english adequately. No air conditioning,Menu not in English
The room was very quiet, the breakfast selection was very good and the receptionist was very helpful We were very disappointed after driving all day,we arrived at the hotel to find that the restaurant was closed and we then had to go hunting for a restaurant.
Very clean and tidy, room tidyed and cleaned daily. Sheets and towels spotlessly clean. Bathroom also clean. Was put on 5th floor with no lift and with 2 pushchairs including a disabled one for my son. We had to carry luggage for 6 people and 2 pushchairs up 5 flights of stairs with no offers of help. No security on high windows for my young children although this was corrected on the third day of my stay. Was put in the wrong room at first and we had to change room.
breakfast poor and overpriced
Central and staff helpfull Safe parking was requested, but was on the public street, no resteraunt. Hotel past its best
nice hotel, good location. room was small, but nice
Nothing Cleaning could be improved, Reception Staff attitude, could not supply a spare pillow, in general I would not recommend staying there. No Parking even though I did request parking on my reservation.
Great location and great town to visit!! I wish the hotel had parking.
Very central to the Restaurants etc. Easy to get to from the motorway etc. Parking is a bit hit and miss and you have to pay during daytime hours.
The staff ( from room cleaner to manager ) has been extremely polite and nice to us during our 4 nights stay . Room and bathroom very clean .
The location near the city centre and distance from the highway We stayed in room 103.However the bathroom was recently updated, we find some moisture in the bath/wall edges etc.The toilet was not solid mounted on the floor.
I had asked for, and was given, a good quiet room -- it was also comfortably air-conditioned. I was on a cycling holiday, and could keep my bicycle inside at night. Very close to the railway station. I think I would consider the hotel the best place to stay in Thionville There was not easy wi-fi access to Internet (required establishing a paid account).
Staff isn't friendly to say the least. No light curtains so basically, you have to close the big, dark curtains even during the day otherwise people are able to see what's going on in the room.
