Very clean, beautiful place with the best place for the swimming on beach on the island. Beautiful view from the restaurant, what is directly on the beach. Very nice bungalows , new and fresh. If you want to go on the family vacation and not have a pool area but nice beach, view and restaurant - it is the best place on the island. It’s a bit expensive in Thai standard. But food is good and freshly made. We went the boat tour for the whole day and looking to other places realized - our beach was just as great. No need to search more. Maybe a bit too heavy traffic sometimes with the long tail boats. Generally a real paradise feeling! Beautiful garden, very well maintained. The other beach on the other side of the hotel (looks amazing in the pictures) was having amazing water but beach was too dirty.
The taxi boat is 100B - per person! Not per taxi. Count 400Bone way if you go with 4 people in the family. And 800 both ways. Meaning - want do go to eat in the city - prepare to pay extra 800B. The hotel staff was not helpful. When we tried to book the day trip on the boat - the women in the reception literally lied about the national park fee and going on the Maja beach, what we had to prepay before going. The hotel is in a great location right on the beach. Our first room had an issue with the air conditioning and was quickly replaced with no issues. One of the guests in our party had stepped on a sea urchin and was quickly attended to by the staff. The hotel restaurant serves decent food for lunch and dinner.
The hotel reception was at times a bit impatient and seemed uninterested in helping us out. The breakfast was not as good as we had hoped. There are a lot of mosquitoes. This may be due to the large-ish water treatment next to the back of the hotel.
