Phi Phi Villa Resort

The location was awesome! Resort is right on the beach! The pool was also very good. Between the beach and the pool, we had a great time! The rooms however, were another story.

The staff was not friendly or responsive. 1. Issues while checkin: Though we were in front of the check in queue, staff kept ignoring us - we're Indian - and made us wait till they'd finished all the "white" people. One of our rooms was on the second floor - had to repeatedly call staff to help with the luggage. 2. Issues with Villa: we'd booked one Deluxe villa & one room. i) When we checked in, there were old mattresses drying right at the entrance to the villa door. Staff didn't remove them after repeated requests, until I moved them myself. ii) Also the geyser didn't work in both the villa and the other room and we all had to take cold showers while we were there - even tho staff supposedly "fixed" them twice. iii) Late night - electric sparks started around the fridge/TV area. After much ado, they got an electrician to fix it. Turns out the wires had been loosely connected beind the fridge, with tape - not a proper switchboard. iv) The AC and TV remote somehow have crossed signals. Every time you switch off the TV, the AC switched off too. And when you switch off the AC, the TV turns on. Yep, weird! 3. Breakfast had hardly anything for vegetarian/vegans. Our only options were to choose from a bowl of salad mix , one plate of mixed fruit and dry cereal since everything else had egg/meat. If you're vegan, make other arrangements for your meals.

The location is great. Very close the center of the town, but still far enough that the hustle and bustle and the noise won't bother you. The staff were very kind and helpful with everything we needed, and very quick to respond to any request we had.

the place is really nice altogether, but we were bothered by the construction on site which we were not informed of before hand. I think that guests should be informed of such scenarios during booking, and defiantly prior to arrival, so they can make an informed decision of whether they want to stay in a place where construction is held. They could have received an even better rate if it weren't for that.
