Theo and his family could not have been nicer. The design and comfort were outstanding. The location, beautiful and peaceful, could not have been better. We can't wait to go again.
This hotel was Amazing and sits in a Cove in Itilo which is like being in a different world. Superb room & balcony, Amazing bathroom and a fridge! Wonderful breakfast aswell! Itilo is a tiny place with our huge luxury hotel built across the road from the beach, and a couple of other restaurants and that is it, but when you are driving around the Peloponnese for 2 weeks and spending 1-2 nights in each place, Itilo is a great stop to sit and chill and sunbathe, and thankfully we were here for 2 nights, so it was very relaxing. Definately go to the Diros Caves while you are here. Can't wait to return to the Peloponnese and this hotel. The only bad points to this hotel was that we had no hot water during our whole stay. We did mention to the manager after our first shower, and he did say that they had had some electrical fault, so he went to reset it??!!, but we still got no hot water?! Sunbeds need replacing aswell as a lot of them were broken.
Comfy bed, fluffy towels, nice toiletries and sophisticated bathroom decor. Our room was very spacious and had nice view of mountains and sea (with balcony). Local taverna a short walk away. Owner kindly arranged early breakfast (the full buffet) for us our last morning. Not the hotel's fault, and perhaps we timed the tides wrong, but there was only one small pile of ?man-delivered sand on the beach. Otherwise it consisted of large stones and a lot of driftwood/empty plastic bottles, etc so made for a rather soulless sea-front experience. . We also had problems with the water temp, luke warm in the evening (though cranked up when we asked); stone cold our last morning. Clearly an on-going problem.
The room was excellent, with very large balcony with a view to the sea. Even better, from the room we had, you could see the sea even when you were lying in bed. I also liked the fact that during breakfast they served home-baked bread, home made marmalade and eggs from their own chickens.
Good location,on the beach.Recently renovated. Not very clean ,there was mold odor in the room.Breakfast was poor. We did not see any other personel working ,just the owner and his 2 kids (about 10 years old!).The junior suite is as big as a normal room but with sea view, and still they charge that as junior suite. The area outside the hotel building is neglected.
This is a family-run hotel with the owner to be a strong and distinct personality. Very hospitable. I liked the room comfort and the seaview that is fantastic. The breakfast was typical of the area. The region is nice while there are a lot of restaurants serving fresh fish. We strongly recommend it for vacations. We we goo again there.
Everything is very comfortably and traditionally designed. The location and the view are superb! Luxury in affordable price. The breakfast although very delicious, did not had variety. The hot water was not hot enough...
The rooms are new and spacious. The beach in front of the hotel was ok. Nevertheless nobody seems to look after it. It was not completely clean.
This is a great brand new family hotel located not too far from the Diros caves & Mani. Theo is a great guy & hotel owner. Free parking, big rooms, good breakfast, great shower. Easy to find since its on the main road going from Aeropoli/Diros/Mani north to Kardamily / Kalamata. Almost nothing to do in the tiny Itilo village itself so you may consider a hotel in nearby Aeropoli or Gythio. Also Aeropoli is closer to the Diros caves and Mani-Vathia (which is BTW a total waste of your traveling time, don't bother with it). The only negative thing is that the dinner was totally overpriced for what we got and not that tasty. I recommend eating dinner elsewhere.
good seaview, friendly staff. breakfast a let down.
The location was perfect forthe activites that I did The night desk was not helpful
Easy access from the Ferry port, good size room, great view
View and location were good No wireless or other internet access in room and staff was unfamiliar how to get yjeir lobby wireless working
Staff rather helpful and friendly. Room was really clean and cosy and bathroom really perfect. Nice view from the balcony. We were very glad to use internet in our room. Brekfast was very poor. The nearest beach is located 2 km away.
The proximity to the port and the convenience of walking distance to local restaurants Total lack of parking - no parking facilities and the hotel is on main road out of town.
Very clean and functional hotel.Good bedding, thick towels and a good shower for a Greek hotel in this category. Good value for the money.Excellent hotel location and water views. Although the hotel has air conditioned rooms, these are not invidually controlled. Small TV screens.
The rooms were clean and well air-conditioned. The staff was wonderful and the breakfast was served with a smile...loved the fresh peaches!
It's location is great, although old, it is very clean. We stayed there as a transit to catch a boat to Kythera. It's lift needs an upgrade.
There are many reasons to recommend this quite superb hotel, but the one that stands out for me is the standard of personalised service. Our stay was made by the hospitality, care, taste and great conversation of the hosts. No, it is really an unrivalled experience in all details.
Excellent setting and atmosphere. Lovely family owned place, warm and friendly service. Perfect for relaxing and indulging the surrounding scenery.
Room nicely done out. Friendly welcome. Attractive grounds. Easy access to the town and to regional attractions. Fruit selection at breakfast looked tired (owners said apples needed dusting off!). Ground over which our verandah looked was mainly building rubble.
The most beautiful hotel we ever saw in Greece. The house, the garden and the room all are first class. the breakfast was amazing and the owners are very kind
Lovely room and appointments. Great breakfast and charming hosts. The pool was great. Overall, a lovely place and I highly recommend it. Definately a highlight of our trip to Greece and wish we could have stayed there longer. I think the air conditioning needed to be fixed. If I would have been staying longer, I would have said something. Probably a simple fix.
Pleasant, polite and attentive owners. Architecture of hotel, swimming pool, homemade breakfast, amazing suite room cosy and luxurious, private parking. room a bit dusty, slight problems with jacuzzi, no safebox, no hair dryer, no satellite TV, no rubbish bin in the room, area does not offer much to the visitor, problems with WIFI Internet connection, very weak signal
Lovely place. Lovely people. Excellent sized rooms. The hotel itself is lovely. The area is perhaps an acquired taste.
the design of the hotel, the very good breakfast and the politeness of the people
Excellent people.Very Hospitable . Food was Great. Rooms very luxurious and very comfortable.Close to town, walking distance. Just an excellent place to go and relax for a few days. I will be visiting again and again.
Accomodation - fantastic, hospitality - wonderful, breakfast - the best we've ever had! Cannot recommend highly enough! N/A
We loved the garden and the pool, even though it's not very big. Our room was comfortable and very clean. Breakfast was very nice, and we especially liked the fact that you didn't have to get there before 9 as some hotels request.
Excellent value for money. Spacious, well-maintained accomodation.Much better than many new and more expensive hotels in which I have stayed. No.
the staff were very kind and the breakfast were very well prepared. The room was big and close to the sea. The parking place available. It was very hard to find because there was no indication from the main street.
Clean spacious room, nice view from the enormous terrace, friendly staff. The wifi signal is very weak on the second floor, practically unusable.
Great location, almost on beach front. Good economical base for exploring the Mani Peninsular and Areopoli. Rooms big, loads of space. Our room had a big balcony, perfect for alfresco dinning. Breakfast (although not really "English") was excellent. Boiled eggs, muesli, yoghurt, huge basket of toast, , jam, honey, fruit, cheese, coffee, hot choc & cake! Great value for the price - we didn't need lunch! No lift, so not really suitable for elderly, as far as lugging suitcases up the stairs goes. Needs a new remote for TV, but that's all we can think of
I was there for job, but the hotel and the landscape made me feel like on holidays. Really nice.
situated in the centre of town, reasonable price foul smell in bathroom and poor breakfast
The staff and the service, both excellent. The bathroom lighting was not very good so it was a little dark and the shower was erratic - one minute good water flow, the next very little.
Really good value for money, excellent location, the balconies have an amazing view to the city of githeio, friendly and helpful staff the breakfast was not so rich
