Evening meal in the restaurant was excellent - compliments to the chef Have a severe draft in the room and requested a o change rooms. They obliged but unfortunately I was expected to move the cot provided by the hotel also. I would have thought they could have done this, it was difficult with a 7 month old in tow.
Excellent hotel / very friendly and helpful staff
the view is so good.. and they provide 24 hrs rectecption... so great... nothing...
The Pool and sauna facilities No hairdryer in bathroom
the view on the harbour, the friendly staff, the good beds that the breakfast was not included, you had to order and pay extra
Nice view over the water.
Good Service erry Nice staff A Lot of very old people where staying there looked liked a old people home, no real bar in the evening
Location, friendliness and flexibility of staff, comfy and spacious room, good breakfast, indoor pool open till 11pm. Hotel is located adjacent to a small yacht harbour which partially sets the (nautical) tone. Would also recommend for brainstorm sessions and the like. Golf nearby.
The restaurant was excellent and the service was very efficient and friendly.
Service was poor for a relatively expensive meal - 2.5 hours to serve dinner is far too long. We felt often ignored, and courses were not timely.
We loved our stay at the Pension Perruque. We were made very welcome by Janny & Nico, and looked after by Sita. Nothing to complain about everything was wonderful
The very warm welcome from tha host. The character and design of the pension + the cleaniness &comfort.
Friendly, efficient hosts. Nice rooms, good breakfasts. Quiet. Great location.
The owner was very friendly and helpful, the room was nice and clean, the breakfast was delicious.
The town of Workum is picturesque and worth exploring. The hotel caters to boaters. It is extremely clean. Breakfast of excellent. I would stay there again.
the owners were very kind and helpful. The room was homey and had a beautiful view. Breakfast had a great variety of local foods. I would highly recommend this hotel. workum is a beautiful town.
Great little hotel with an excellent location. It's perfect for exploring the town or exploring the coast. The rooms are nicely decorated, spacious, and clean. The hotel also offers a good breakfast. We would certainly stay here again.
Rooms adequate. Very nice and cosy dining area includes warm glasshouse. Nice view on local canal with boats passing by. Slanted roof prevents sitting up in bed. En suite has no bath, only shower/wash basin/toilet. Tea making facility in the corridoor.
Interesting property. Nice town. Very well kept. No tea and coffee making facility in the room.
Excellent hotel. Exceptionally nice and personable staff. Bathroom was the cleanest in the Netherlands. Buffet breakfast was delicious with fresh fruit, pastries and a good selection of cold-cut meats and cheeses. My room looked out on to peaceful fields of sheep and cows .The opposite side of the hotel overlooked a canal through which yachts passed on their way to the town's inner harbors. It was a very short and pleasant walk to the town center.I would very much like to stay here again sometime to explore Friesland by bicycle.Good value for the price. The room I had was very quiet, comfortable and cozy. I felt right at home.
The friendliness and helpfulness of the owners. The location of the town & area was lovely--we enjoyed biking the countryside and also enjoyed the Jopie Huisman Museum. Workum was also a town near where my mother was born--we were tracing our roots!
A friendly family guesthouse, very clean and comfortable accommodation. Excellent buffet breakfast (good variety)
The breakfast spread was fantastic. The motion lighting in the halls was helpful. The interesting shower doors were creative. It was a bit of a trek to get there from the train station.
It's wery nice and quiet hotel. The breakfast is good. Because absence of elevator, it was not comfortable to entrance to the room with suitcases.
clean, stylish, friendly, very good breakfast, central, good parking, nice room, very nice bathroom
Very good and clean hotel include de rooms
Literally everything: typical dutch house, large room, nice furniture, big Comfortable bed, likewise for bathroom, and with a view towards the central square of the city. Superb ! It is a family-run hotel, and people have been very welcoming. Nothing about the hotel. The train station though is a bit far away (15 min. walking outside the city limits)
clean tidy and friendly it would have been good to have tea & coffee making facilities in our rooms
It has a very nice location in the center of Workum Not really - maybe all the stairs
The quadruple room is extraordinarily fine and elegant. The breakfast is good (although not exceptional), in a room of the restaurant rich of marine-style objects. The hotel is located in the very centre of Workum but, despite of that, the room was absolutely silent. The stairway is incredibly steep! We laughed about it (especially when moving our luggage up and down), but this could be a problem for somebody.
Peace and quiet during evening and night lack of towel rails or hooks in bathroom (room 9)
good location, nice atmosphere, comfortable room floor was cracking a bit (old building), check out at 10am on a Sunday is quite early!
Nearness and bus service to Schipol Airport. Friendly, helpful staff. Internet computer made available. Excellent food. Bar service was very, very slow. Often left unattended.
clean; close to where I needed to be; no need to climb stairs to garden room; satisfying breakfast (included); friendly staff, lovely country side, nice warm bed covers!!! We liked it and would return even when the reason for close location is no longer needed.
Stairs not easy to use.
The restaurant was excellent Rooms were not very isolated. A lot of rumour during the night when late guests came up. Rather poor bathroom facilities.
gardenroom with own patio no
very friendly owners bedroom was freezing cold and the heathing makes lots of noise during the night. also difficult to get hot tab water.
very comfortable and great staff
the price and the service no
The little town is like in fairy tale and the pension also is on the canal closer seeside.Wonderful!!! ! recomand everybody. Thanks to host.
Very good and convinient kitchen for the guests. "Small double rooms" are not suitable for two persons.
A very welcoming host, location in a wonderfully peaceful village and a delicious breakfast. Definitely a great choice for a peaceful retreat or countryside exploration.
Having stayed there before I was not surprised at the wonderfully warm welcome and atmosphere I found but it was great to experience again. Highly recommended and thanks again to Ellie & Martin
The owners were very keen to make your stay as comfortable as possible. Nothing was too much trouble. The rooms and communal spaces were well decorated, equiped and spotlessly clean. Additionally the cost was very reasonable and the location beautiful.
The facilities and Staff were completly available to everything we needed They could improve bycicle parking at night
good value, good location, and it allowed dogs.
Friendly, good atmosphere I would like to see the toilet/shower block as non-smoking
Friendly welcome, quiet wth peaceful views over countryside, excellent breakfast.
Nice house, nice owner and good quality of furnishings and fittings. The location is a very well serviced and friendly town in Friesland - very rural. The house is located 3 or 4kms from the town. No clothes storage at all except for one rail of 6 hooks. No facility for a drink other than at breakfast - water or tea/coffee making would be a welcome addition. With the distance from town, this did become a problem.
No internet in hotel.
the accomodation offered to us was an old but two floors bulding (!) in a very quite and peaceful location. Excellent food and breakfast no options for bars or restaurants (only two) in walking distance
Very good food, nice clean rooms, helpful staff.
Safe, free parking. Friendly, helpful staff. Very satisfied with the rooom that faced street. Location is very central in Gaasterland. Restaurant across the road is sometimes too noisy til late at night.
Extremely friendly staff. Excellent restaurant downstairs. Free car park available on the spot. Local youth getting extremely loud at 4 a.m. (loud music played from their car). Hot/Cold water in the shower difficult to regulate - you either get water that is too cold or too hot. No internet available at all (contrary to what's advertised on the website).
Our room was quite spacious and very cosy. Very close to the harbour where we arrived. The hotel has a very pleasant atmosphere. For the price of the room we thought the breakfast could have done with a bit more variety.
Although we did not book a wine vat room, our friends did, and it was quite interesting. The place is run down, dated and dirty. We had a early departure, and were told they would leave us food (breakfast was included) to take with us, and they did not. Very disappointed.
Novelty of staying in a wine vat. Convenience and scenery of location tosuit our needs supporting the Solar Challenge race round the Netherlands canals in solar powered boats.
the location the booking
The wine cask rooms are beautiful!! Small but with a lot of Charm!! They have offered a free bottle of Red wine in the room and the Restaurant has view on the Harbor, which is directly outside the restaurant. The only remark I have is regarding the fact that they let park cars in front of the restaurant, which covers the open view on the harbor. It's a pity that for 4 people (cars) who doesn't want to walk a short distance to the Free Parking place, that they "punish" all other clients.
