Fantastic location on this beautiful island. The young woman in charge, Cheetha, couldn’t have been more helpful and polite. Such a lovely girl who helped us a lot.
Extremely overpriced. Room not particularly clean. The whole place felt abandoned. Loved the island but very disappointed with the guesthouse.
The grounds are beautiful and it is wonderfully silent. The staff is sweet and friendly. I really love this Island.
I really wanted to experience the ambiance of the wooden bungalows but I was given a room with 2 beds when I'd specifically booked for one. I didn't enjoy the room at all. There was no floor space left and it was difficult to even move around the room. Wooden huts tend to be dark but the lighting in the huts was poor and some of the bulbs were burned out. There seemed to be only one staff person and she was difficult to find. Overall it's a beautiful property but feels abandoned and uncared forr. They would not refill my water bottle so I was forced to buy a plastic bottle which I don't do. The bottle was $2 which explains why I was told "no, we only have for sell". This is an outdated way of doing things. I traveled one month in Cambodia and most places I stayed were using some sort of refillable system to provide water for guests.
The garden and the animal noises are nice.
An expensive room with no hot water, no air conditioner, no wifi, bathroom not clean, water infiltrated in the room...almost nothing available at the bar or in the kitchen...Staff did not come to tell us when they saw we were in late with the tuktuk which arrived...
Quiet place in a clean and nice garden on Koh Treng Island. No traffic. Friendly and helpful staff. Good offer where to go and what to do. We booked a boattrip to see the irrawaddy dolohins and we actually saw a lot. I was absolutely gorgeous. The only offer to reach the guesthouse was to take the motercycle taxi. Together with the luggage quite an adventurous ride - but it works.
We found a nest of a rodent in the cupboard. It seemed to be there since a long time.
If you want wifi, hot water or a wide selection on the menu then this is not for you. If you want a really quirky experience in the middle of no where then enjoy. The couple that were managing the guest house while we were there were exceedingly helpful happy to oblige. They organised a boat trip up the Mekong to view the Irrawaddy dolphins and bikes for us to ride around the island and a Tuk Tuk to take us to Chhlong from Kratie when we left. The food in the restaurant was excellent albeit from a limited number of options. It was all authentic Khmer and good. Stay 1 night or max of 2.
I hate cold water showers.
