Spa facilities were amazing, breakfast too.
Hotel Kaskady is a good choice when travelling to Slovakia. Its located near Banska Bystrica in a small village with nice mountain view. Hotel has spa facilities, so you can really relax after trip or buisiness day. Unfortunately stuff at restaurant doesn`t speek english well, but on the other hand they try to be helpful and you do not have to wait for service. So generally I reccomend this hotel for business trip.
Beautiful pools and spa facilities. Very friendly staff.
Swimming pool + sauna, food+ drinks I missed better sound insulation of rooms
Location was great, spa pools were amazing, food was great value
The facilities are very charming with scenic country views, great pool and relaxing spa.; Staff is very friendly. Rooms can be better soundproofed. Can clearly hear shower running next door.
I was the only guest & the chap at reception & the dining lady were very nice if not often around. Location was good as on the main square. If wanting to attract more international travellers the hotel needs to have qualified & experienced reception staff. The staff was very friendly though-no problems there. My room was pretty basic, smelt even though clean & had a problem with ants.
nice big room with good bed, clean place with charisma, no parking in front of hotel
On the day of our departure there was a minsunderstanding on our part regarding breakfast hours. Because we had an early train to catch before serving hours, the staff prepared coffee for us and fixed a gerenous, packaged breakfast to take with no advanced notice. These ladies and the entire staff were wonderfully gracious and understanding. No. We walked past the other options and this was clearly the right choice.
Beautiful town square and vuew Loud music until 2 am, staff indifferent, difficulty finding parking to hotel
Kind and helpful hosts, charming dogs, fine breakfast, excellent value for the money.s
Nice big room. Very friendly staff. Excellent value for money. Good location when driving from Poland/Krakow to Budapest. Some noise from the big main road next to hotel.
Nice, proper place, friendly staff. Mattresses are thin.
comfortable room could not pay by credit card
Very clean and quiet room. Sauna & hot tub (included in price) was excellent! Staff was friendly and helpful.
It was quiet, clean and nice. Staff was helpful and friendly.
Clean, comfort, good value. Little noisy, very close to main road. No internet service.
Location of the city. From here you can reach most Slovakia tourists attraction within hour or so. Breakfast and dinner are ok Near road. No tea-kettle, plates etc in room.
The Pension is on very good position close to the montains Velka Fatra. I went trekking there during weekend. You can find trekking rounts directly from the pension, you don't need to use a car during all the weekend. Staff was very nice, very flexible for example about food preparation at any time. There is a sauna you can use at any time.
Friendly and efficient service, good size room, good value
Everything about the hotel was nice, the restaurant was especially nice. The staff was pleasant, the room was small and the bathroom was quite small.
to be dowtown and easy access Except the nice looking Lobby the hotel has been poorly renovated years ago and room was not clean and very basic bed for the price compared to other hotels in Slovakia. The breakfast was very...very basic and light for 6 Euros.
This last one was probably the fourth time I was at Polana Hotel. It's conveniently located and easy to find for those who travel by car. Rooms are comfortable and neat and the restaurant is good to dine alone or with local businessmen. Next time I'll stay here again.
the staff were attentive and very helpful when asked, service with a smile rare these days. the hotel was well situated with plenty of nearby attractions and walk into town very easy.
Rooms are clean with wireless access, the food at the restaurant is excellent and the prize for the both affordable, very well located dowtown in a nice area
Easy access to city center and castle, but not much interesting. The staff didn't treat a guest (was not in the manner training). Too much heaps scattered of cigarette butts at parking site on the hotel front gate.
Very kind and flexible staff. Bed was to short
Hard to say...the receptionist at the check out time was very pleasant and apologetic... I travel a bit and this was the first hotel in which the TV did not work and was not fixed or changed in spite of 2 requests to do so. In the restaurant, a Caesar Salad (over 5 Euro charge), was a lettuce (hlavkovy salat) with boiled eggs in it which became uneatable when standard (on the table) dressings were applied. Dear Chef, romaine lettuce is used and the key ingrediet is a special dressing which makes romaine lettuce a Caesar salad. For extra child the receptionist at the checking time (2 pm) requested a charge beyond contractual 18 Euro, claiming that the amount does not include the breakfast. As a result we opted to have one breakfast less.
Restaurant in hotel is really good - excellent staff there. Rooms are comfortably designed. What made this trip wonderful was that there was an error on my bill - I didn't notice it until after it was paid and I left. By the time I was able to contact Hotel Polana, they had already fixed the error. Will certainly be back! Design of bathroom - especially placement of toilet - is too cramped.
Restaurant excellent with food out of this world Can be noisy in rooms on main roadside
friendly staff, all spoke good english, went out their way to help ,good breakfast,5 mins walk from centre
Excellent hotel with friendly staff, even though there were three days with a very early start the staff went out of their way to get up and provide breakfast for us. Couldn't fault the hotel at all.
Very friendly helpful staff
Very nice hotel. Rooms very tidy. Excellent value for money. The onsite parking is not at the front of the hotel and there is no where to stop outside the front. It would have been nice to know prior to arriving that the parking is accessed off a different street.
