Pros: The reception of the host was exemplary as well as the service given. Breakfast was good with a selection of meats, cheese an bread. Felt like staying with friends.
Cons: The window of our room was fairly small and the ventilation not that great during the heat wave but you can't have it all.
Pros: Very friendly staff, and nice and clean rooms. Traditional Danish breakfast with "rundstykke". Located in a small village so it is a good place to relax.
Pros: Very nice owner / staff! Very attentive and always with good recommendations about what to do.
Cons: Room was very warm, difficulties sleeping.
Pros: Loved this place. They took good care of the hole family. Nice surroundings. Really good breakfast. Definitely use this opportunity again sometime.
Pros: Easy access from Autobahn but very quiet village, very friendly and helpful staff, spacious family room, good breakfast.
Pros: Very friendly host super good breakfast and very peaceful location
Pros: The place was an excellent location to stay on the way down from Sweden. The price was right and more than worth it. All communication and help from the staff was way more than most hotels offer.
Pros: Nice breakfast, everything you want is there. It is the money wurth.
Pros: Easy to reach from Autobahn, quiet and cozy, very personal and warm welcome, good breakfast.
Located in Ascheffel, Panorama-Hotel Aschberg is in the mountains, within a 15-minute drive of Auguste Windmill and Meerwasser-Wellenbad. Featured amenities include multilingual staff, luggage storage, and a library. Free self parking is available onsite.
Pros: Friendly staff and excellent services.
Pros: Perfect location, super comfortable beds, friendly people, outstanding breakfast!
Pros: The rooms were well appointed & the fact that we had our own terrace with direct access to the beautiful surroundings was unexpected and very much appreciated. The hotel is well set-up and it was easy for our Labradoodle to join us for meals and coffees. Also, next to having hiking trails start right at the hotel, the Art show in Carl's Hütte in Büdelsdorf is just a couple of minutes drive away.
Cons: The restaurant and kitchen was understaffed. The reception telephone could be picked-up by the bartender as to not disturb the guests in the dining room. It would have been great if the outside terrace would have had service to bring food/drinks and clear empty dishes faster to prevent interest of bees. It was not advertised that the property has a sauna and we only found when we left. Too bad!
Pros: Great place in the middle of nowhere with great views.
Cons: Staff could be a little more friendly at the restaurant. cleaning of the rooms next door was very noisy, no chance to enjoy the silence of nature when you wake up
Pros: Perfect getaway in tranquil settings, quiet location in the middle of nature and beautiful rooms with fantastic views from the big windows. Probably our Sixt or seventh stay - and not the last!
Pros: Rooms are very nice. Great windows with lots of views. Very modern, upscale and clean interiror.
Cons: Never-seen-before incompetent management. Staff not qualified for a 4-Star hotel and is pretty unantentive. Remarks or questions taken personal and responses somewhat snappy (Question about breakfast times: "Well, can´t you read what is on the board written behind you?". Lack of service-orientation towards customer, staff rather tries to avoid you. (Very nice/upscale) rooms are in different building than reception, so you have to carry your luggage a long way and 3 stair cases down. No one even thinks to ask for help. As hotel carries the name of a famous outdoor retailer (Globetrotter) you would expect lots of gear free to test or rent or workshops lead by savvy staff. None of that to be found there. We found only a rotten collapsible wooden bench that apparantly is only frequently used by the staff to enjoy a smoke (based on the ton of cigarette buts in the grass). Restaurant is helplessly overpriced (breakfast mediocre) on top all meat courses we had (they specialise in game meat) were overkooked. When we rejected we only good rolling eyes from the waiter. Wine did not taste good, waiter said "no problem if you prefer a beer instead". Beer comes, waiter tells us that we still have to pay the wine though....on it goes, countless stories on a weekend. Though the biggest scandal shall not be untold: On Easter Weekend we read on the board breakfast only served till 10:00 (i.s.o.) 10:30 as usual. At 09:55 the hotel manager approaches our table and ask us to carry our breakfast ourselves on the outside terrace (16 degrees C in the shadow) as he expects "Guests" for Easter Brunch at 10:00. I asked "and what are we?" He: Pls remove your breakfast. I: I will finish my breakfast, you might have mismanaged the timing here. He: I have to ask you to leave. Me: I will finish my breakfast, you have to carry me away otherwise. All guests told the sames were in shock about this rude/unspeakable behaviour. Never again!
Pros: A quiet location with an outstanding view! Nice and friendly staff.
Cons: The beds were of different qualities - mine was good but the one of my husband was too soft - he woke up with a headache. It's pity that the staff's English wasn't sufficient to communicate with.
Pros: All the meals were very good, the staff were very friendly and helpful to an old woman. I hope to come back
Pros: Architecture. Closeness to nature. Tranquility.

Pros: Vey good food and huge portions for dinner and nice breakfast. New good rooms.
Cons: Hotel much focused on eldery people
Cons: The fact that the Hotel was quite expensive, and there was no Mini Bar or Coffee and Tea making facilities in the room. This tended to down grade our estimate of what otherwise was a very pleasant stay.

Pros: Perfect for a stopover. Lovely people - who cooked us a meal even if we arrived just before the closing of the kitchen. Delicious and served with a smile! The bed was good (even for me with severe back problems).
Pros: It was spacious.
Cons: There was a distinct overpowering sewer and dampness smell. The windows were open when we arrived and the rooms were cold. (The temp outside was +3C.) The floor was extremely cold even after the room warmed up. The air was so bad that we were forced to open the window in the middle of the night.
Pros: We had to leave without being able to pay and so far, we have not heard from the property - if it stays that way, at least we did not have to pay for this.
Cons: The entire place stank like smoke and marihuana. There was a dog in one of the rooms that barked at us and jumped up on us. The beds had dark hairs in them; the room had no toilet and the description had not mentioned it. The person greeting us was not able to tell us when the breakfast would be and the breakfast room also stank of cigarettes. The next morning, there was a huge pile of dogshit in the lobby, no breakfast anywhere and no one to be seen (at 7 am!). All this with small children is an absolute no-go!
Cons: Noisy road right outside the window.
Pros: excelent food at good cost comfortable bed quiet !
Cons: as above
Pros: Very good possibility for late arrival. Good room, good bed, easy to find.
Cons: A little disorganized. Could not find key at first, room next to renovation works, but quite even though. Breakfast was on bill When not ordered.
Pros: Personnel was nice, breakfast was ok, internet worked fine
Cons: Room was small but fine for one night. There was only one socket with electricity, we could either watch tv or charge one of our phones.
Pros: The staff were extremely helpful and courteous, they went out of their way to both welcome and accommodate us particularly my 5 year old granddaughter. .
Cons: I found the lack of En suite bathroom facilities very inconvenient.
