9.2 Excellent
Pros: This mansion has an incredible history and you get thrown back 130 years from the moment you walk in. The host was engaged and attentive and very welcoming. His transpires the passion for managing this place in spite of the hard work required to run it. Breakfast by the Chef was excellent!
Cons: The location (Reading PA) is no ideal. The neighborhood is occupied by "struggling" families living in old houses. Still, you would stay in this mansion regardless of the location because of its history and charisma. We met couples getting married there within few months; so if it is good for a wedding, the location is good enough. Plenty of safe parking inside the property; We used the car to drive 15 minutes to go to restaurants, not to mention there is the good option to dine at the mansion and go nowhere!
10.0 Excellent
Pros: I arrived in the evening very tired. The friendly owner Cezar cooked me a pasta so I did not get to go out again. The building was built in 1889 which all original furniture remaining. Magnificient manor with a nice garden. In the morning the battery of my PC mouse was dead and they replaced it without charge. Super service. Will return there again.

Pros: The owner, John, was there to greet us when we arrived, and showed us around the hotel. He was very friendly and approachable. Breakfast the next morning was top notch. It was a fun atmosphere as well as excellent food. Afterwards, we were able to walk around and tour the mansion. It was an excellent stay and I would definitely return.

Pros: The staff was friendly and remembered me since I had been there four weeks during the week. They made an effort to reserve me the room I liked.
Cons: The cleaning varied depending on your location, they are understaffed. The breakfast was average, pretty much the same every day, though the biscuits are good if you luck into them. Something was broken in every room I tried (5) Lighting dim and grungy.

Pros: Convenient location for our trip. We ran into the woman who cleaned our room - she was an absolute sweetheart. The bed was very comfortable.
Cons: The room smelled terrible- like cigarettes, urine, and mildew. The window did not open, so I bought Febreeze to try to remove and hide the smells. The combination of smells stayed with our luggage and clothes even after we left. There were three microwaves - two non-operational. There were nails in the wall where there had been pictures once. The end table looked like it had been chewed. We've stayed here before and it was great. It was a busy weekend with a car show, so this might have been an "overflow" pet room. I hope they fix it. In the meantime we'll probably spend more and go elsewhere.
6.0 Good
Pros: Breakfast was good. The room needed some updates. We over heated ourselves with the heating unit. The bed was perfect and comfortable.

5.0 Okay
Cons: There was a leak in the bathroom ceiling above the shower that had gotten worse when the room above would use their bathroom.
5.0 Okay
Pros: The hotel is now showing it's age. I lived in Reading and remember when it was built. The polish is waning, even though draws a lot of people. The front desk staff gets 5-stars. Pleasant and professional.
Cons: The Boom boom boom coming from the lounge almost every night. Shakes the walls and this goes on until 11:00 pm and 2:00 am. Do not let them assign you a room anywhere near that lounge if you're at the hotel to sleep. Complaints were greatly ignored.
9.0 Excellent
Pros: The room was clean and the bed was comfy!
Cons: We were unaware we had to pay for breakfast until we were sitting down midway through breakfast and then the eggs were slimy. If we knew we had to pay as much as we did for the subpar food we would have gone out to eat.

Cons: I can't remember the last time I was in a hotel that didn't have a fridge and microwave. No vending machine and you charge $3.00 for a soda. The New York corridor needs to be brighter. Felt like something was going to jump out at me. Felt like I was in the dungeon. Had two big bushes outside my room, blocking everything. Not good. Someone could be hiding in those bushes, waiting. You never know what's on a persons mind.
