Pros: This is a charming, first class Chambres D’hote. There is a lot of attention to details from the best shower in France, to the air conditioning if needed. The hosts were wonderful and provided a wonderful evening meal at a reasonable price. Petit dejeuner was excellent and included. We highly recommend!
Pros: We felt like home and very much welcomed even the fact that we booked the place in urgency ( we booked at 19.00 on that day and arrived the place with in 30 minutes ).
Pros: Very friendly owner Great breakfast Quiet location Wonderful and clean room
Pros: Its located peaceful, rustic and idyllic. We arrived in the Night and the were Received warmly. After a 6 hours ride we were quite hungry and despite the fact it was late the owner prepared us a wonderful and delicious dinner. The room is very clean and quiet. A very nice combination of modern equipment and rustical style. The breakfast very tasty and healthy. Very recommended
Located in Reuilly-Sauvigny, Auberge Le Relais is in a rural location, within a 5-minute drive of Champagne Alain Navare and Champagne Serveaux Pascal. The front desk is staffed during limited hours. Free self parking is available onsite.
Pros: Beautiful view over vineyards. Old world charm and fabulous gourmet restaurant.
Pros: Excellent restaurant and attentive staff. Dog friendly too!
Pros: Very good restaurant, secure parking, lovely garden, dog friendly
Pros: Great location, the restaurant is very good, rich flavours, good portions, a real treat. Good and friendly service as well and a great breakfast.
Pros: The location was in between some villages on a smaller road. We had a room upstairs, two flights up. It was raining when we got there for an overnight stay so we didn't see too the surroundings in the best possible way but we could see it would be very nice if the sun shines. The bed was very nice and comfortable, the shower good; just what we needed after a long day sightseeing :) We found a nice french restaurant in a nearby village (chez Nanou) as we didn't want to have dinner in the hotel.
Cons: This is not a cozy place, it feels a bit formal. Personally we prefer more intimate feeling hotels.
Pros: The room was really lovely, tastefully decorated, very comfortable beds with newly refurbished bathroom and separate WC. The restaurant was really good. Classic French cuisine with delightful service. Don’t miss the breakfast!
Pros: Nice view
Cons: Overpriced tasteless food served by waiters who refused to speak any English or would give a sigh and and a look of disgust as they explain. You better be fluent with your french !!! The rest of the hotel has seen better days , unlit hallway and stairs at night , curtain pole hanging off the wall and silicone sealant coming away in the shower.

When you stay at Château de la Marjolaine in Essomes-sur-Marne, you'll be 5 minutes by car from Musee Jean de Lafontaine. Featured amenities include multilingual staff and luggage storage. Free self parking is available onsite.
Pros: The chateau is set on a slope running down to the river Marne and has well tended and interesting gardens. It is full of interesting bric a brac. Our room was comfortable with a view over the gardens, as have all the rooms I believe. The bedroom was supplied with a small fridge and a kettle. The bathroom is modern and a large size. Jean Pierre our host is a delightful extrovert who kept us amused as well as providing for our needs. He runs an excellent restaurant which provided us with some of the best food and wine we had during our holiday.
Cons: There is a narrow and slightly rough road leading down to the parking area at the bottom of the property.
Pros: The owner of the hotel was very friendly and helpful. We had an upgraded bedroom. We had a good dinner which they cooked for us on a sunday although in the info it said no dinner on sundays
Cons: The bed was very hard
Pros: Very beautiful garden, super friendly owner, definitely recommend evening menu at the hotel restaurant. Charming interior with nice and clean room.
Pros: Lovely friendly property and the room was very pretty and comfortable
Pros: Lovely small Chateau. Very friendly staff, excellent evening meal.
Located in La Ferte-Gaucher, this vacation home is within a 5-minute drive of Church of Saint Romain and Saint-Martin-des-Champs Priory.
Pros: Kind and flexible owner. The apartment had room for six people. It had two good sized bedrooms, a small kitchen - with cutlery for four people. Was clean at check in and came with sheets and towels. Public parkingspace 70 meteres from the apt, supermarcets in walking diatance. Would stay again.
Cons: They could add an wine opener and fix the washing machine.

Pros: Friendly staff
Cons: parking place was not eaily accesible for cars, rating by booking.com too high
Pros: Isabella was extremely pleasant and made a very nice breakfast. Hotel was very clean, warm and welcoming.
Cons: Wish they had actual parking. Area is a little run down but being worked on.
Pros: Super nice owner. Cozy and warm place.
Cons: The breakfast was a bit too simple.
Pros: Lovely old house with a pleasant garden, providing a home-feel stay. The rural stay is 20 km away from the bustle of Epernay. Towards Troyes (other direction) it is a 50 minute drive. Baye, the village is small though has a cute church from the 12th to 14th century, as well as an old chateau turned into religious retreat center. The village had interesting historical events in 1814 and 1914
Cons: You need to go there by car, and visiting Reims, Epernay, or Troyes require drives of minimum 20 minutes through lovely landscapes
Pros: Really lovely location (quiet, peaceful, in a village with bakery and pub with food, nice walks) and the hostess was just so lovely and welcoming and made sure you felt at home. There were games in the sitting room for rainy days and constant cold water or tea/coffee making facilities also in the sitting room. Parking round the back v convenient. Hostess recommended somewhere to eat in another lovely village nearby, was excellent recommendation. Nice garden if you wanted to take tea there or sit out and read. Unsure if dogs are allowed but the countryside would be wonderful for dogs!
Cons: I was foot to the floor trying to get there in time for check-in after spending a day at Verdun. (Made it!) The associated champagne house wasn’t open (owing to early harvest I think) but I’d asked that at time of reservation. If you want somewhere within walking distance of champagne houses you’ll need to do your research first. The room I was in had only shower, no bath - no big deal but for expectation management .
Pros: Loved the location close to an amazing bakery and champagne tasting. Very charming old home with a beautiful garden in the back. Good breakfast!
Cons: Was a little difficult to locate as the address link and google maps took us to another home initially.
Pros: Very good value. Comfortable bed. Renovated bathroom. Generous breakfast. Good WiFi. Very friendly staff.
Cons: Older property. Clean and simple, but could benefit from some upgrades. But zero complaints.
Pros: Good breakfast, older but sufficient rooms, the owner is very nice, big parking place
Cons: The house is directly at the main street, so the rooms are a little bit noisy. Steep path to the parking place.

Pros: Kindness of the staff. He gave a lot of tips for eating and what to do when reception is closed and a problem occurs.
Cons: The site of booking.com was mentioning a room for 3 persons. I got a room for 2. As I was alone this is not an issue, but as a principle I got something different from the description.

Historically, It was very exciting to stay at the farm where Jean de la Fontaine wrote some of his fables. Nadège also recommended a restaurant in Chateau Thierry where we had an excellent meal.

Pros: Marie is a wonderful artist so the property is full of her artwork, including painted furniture. There is colour and interest everywhere. The room looks out over a quiet little square in front of the abbey, the only sound being the trickling rill that flows down the centre of the square. Plenty of historical interest in the abbey, convenient parking in front of the property, and the warmest of welcomes from this fascinating and friendly hostess. Marie provides an excellent breakfast, with a boiled egg if you wish, and Earl Grey tea served in the most pretty teapot. There was nothing that can fault La Chambre de la Tour. In fact we wanted to stay on our way back to England some days later but unfortunately she was already booked up - we can understand why! We will definitely return another time. A further added bonus is the exceptional little restaurant on the other side of the square, run by Valerie a talented and thoughtful chef who uses mostly organic produce a lot of which is from her own garden.
Pros: Wonderful owner in a typical house, located in charming village
Pros: Beautiful house in a beautiful location. Our hostess was wonderful and friendly. She really made us feel at home. Highly recommended and we will definitely come back! :)
Pros: Marie Collette was an incredibly warm hearted and helpful host. We enjoyed the conversations with her and the she had many helpful tips for the area. The place is really good and historic and so is the interior. We loved the old closets and paintings all over the place. Marie is an artist and that is what you see throughout the house. Orbais is a really small and charming medieval village, if you want to go out and eat you can only do this from Thursday till Sunday. It was a pleasure to meet you Marie! Thank you for everything!
Pros: I have traveled more than 30 countries and of course spends a lots of nights in hotels or someone’s home by Airbnb . I just want to say, no matter what hotels with 5 stars or somewhere else, La Chambre de la Tour is a place which I called as a wonder home. It’s just one of the best place I have been. I even don’t want to share this place with your guys. Just go there, and enjoy your stay. Talk with the elegance hostess, you will take the world is much better place than you thought. It’s a place more than accommodation, it’s also about good old time, arts und peacefulness. Just don’t waste your time to search somewhere else, booking and go La Chambre de la Tour!!!
Located in Baulne-en-Brie, L'Auberge de l'Omois is a 1-minute drive from Saint Barthelemy Church and 5 minutes from Chateau de Conde. Free self parking is available onsite.
Pros: Attentive but not intrusive owner. Quality breakfast and food. Nothing too much trouble.
Cons: Not much. A local bar would have been nice.
Pros: There were no air conditioners, ceilings fans or floor fans. The attic space rooms were much warmer than the interior hallways.
Cons: Lack of fans
Pros: The region was interesting.
Cons: the value for the price of the food. No choice of menu, we were just told " it is----?--tonight. There was only one person working there and he did not live on the premises.

Pros: Great apartment and awesome location.
Pros: I recommend to all!!!
Cons: Liked everything
Pros: We were greeted by the owner upon arrival and shown to our cozy and comfortable room. This spot has all the charm of a remodeled farmhouse. The beds were comfortable, shower warm, and breakfast/coffee delicious! It is not an overly fancy locale but perfect for passing through on the way to Paris!
When you stay at Le Jardin des Fables in Chateau-Thierry, you'll be 6 minutes by foot from Musee Jean de Lafontaine. Free self parking is available onsite.
Pros: I thought it was charming and original. My family particularly enjoyed the breakfast in the courtyard. A real unforgettable experience.
Cons: There wasn't anything I didn't like.
Pros: It was as French as you could get, the decor was fantastic and a very comfortable bed, the Host's Son in law gave us a real insight into the City and area.
Pros: Quirky, comfortable with a warm welcome. In the center of town but quiet
Pros: Friendly and helpfull welcome, delightful old house, good breakfast
Pros: The design and arrangement of the room and breakfast
Cons: All ok
Pros: Very clean, cozy and artistic home. We have stayed twice, each time was excellent in terms of owner, quiet, facility, location, breakfast and French press coffee. Breakfast in the garden was lovely! Public parking was close and easy but be careful if the square will host a market the following morning. Marrakesh restaurant 1" walk away was excellent. Enjoyed the beautiful town, market, and American Cemetery at Aisne-Marne (Belleau Wood). Steps could be difficult for mobility impaired, but fine otherwise.
Cons: The bed was a tad soft. We had difficulty locking the door but it was rather late to wake the host so we managed to secure it on our own. Next time I would review the door lock mechanism with the host at check-in. Enjoyed the beautiful town, market, and American Cemetery at Aisne-Marne (Belleau Wood).
Pros: It was a very cute inn. Good location. Nice town. Breakfast was very nice on the beautiful patio. The owner is very friendly.

With 55 rooms spread over two floors with e levator access, our hotel welcomes you for your business trips or vacations. Our hotel boasts two modular meeting rooms and a Lounge Bar where you can grab a bite to eat. Food lovers should try our buffet breakfast.
Cons: First of all they didnt find my booking even though I showed the confirmation. I was mixed up with a totally other person. Room small, one towel per person for hands and shower, terrible Traffic just outside and really disturbing, hot in the room, so you had to choose between bad sleep and opening the window or getting too warm A smell of to much cleanser when entering the hotel
Pros: Great location by the river bank, next to a mall. Quiet place. Good breakfast. Italian restaurant nearby. Free and convenient parking.
Pros: Helpful staff allowed us to put bikes indoors to keep them safe. Decent breakfast.
Cons: Bathroom was not clean and had a very nasty looking stain running down the door!
Pros: Breakfast was standard European (excellent breads); coffee was great. The bed was comfy and clean and the staff was fantastic as always. This is a very good hotel for the money and we will continue to book with them as we travel through the area
Cons: No real complaints. The toilet didn't have much power, so flushing was an adventure. Staff cleaned our room despite the "do not disturb sign" being up; could have been an incident had our dog been in the room alone. But like I said, no real complaints; we like this place
Pros: Good stopover, no restaurant at the Ibis but good Italian across the road
Cons: Nothing really
Pros: Good overnight stop. Good Italian restaurant near by.
Cons: No air conditioning! Very hot when we were there!
Pros: The hotel is very well located. The staff is nice.
Cons: The room, especially the bathroom, could have been cleaner. The room is quite small. There is no air conditioning in the room which made it unbearable (luckily there was a fan in the room, but it was noisy).
With a stay at Du Sauvage in La Ferte-Gaucher, you'll be steps from Church of Saint Romain and a 2-minute drive from Saint-Martin-des-Champs Priory. Featured amenities include complimentary newspapers in the lobby, dry cleaning/laundry services, and luggage storage.
Pros: We were a late arrival with a phone call to let us in with a key code. Room was nice temperature with the AC already on which we appreciated. The size of the room and bathroom exceeded our expectations and was clean and appeared recently updated. We did not physically interact with anyone as we had to get up early to go to the LFG track on our motorcycles for a track day. We would definitely stay here again and perhaps another day to unwind after a grueling day on the track to enjoy amenities we didn’t have time to enjoy.

We also provide you with a wide selection of programs for a seminar reception, ceremony, or a birthday. Parking available with the possibility of specific service. Enjoy your stay.
Pros: Our room was on the corner of the top floor. We were able to open all windows at night and let the cool night air of the Picardi Valley flow quietly through. Breakfast was outstanding! Matthieu is a Super Star. He runs the place whenever he’s there. He’s kind, knowledgeable and thoughtful.
Cons: That we could only stay 3 nights!!!
Pros: Swimmingpool and restaurant really good.
Cons: Cleaning was really really shitty. Hair left in the bathroom, and swimmingshorts from previous guest
Cons: Menu could be better
Pros: Excellent breakfast and dinner. Wifi in room. Two chairs
Cons: Location. It is far from any commerce.
Pros: Good location for easy access to charles de Gaulle airport. Comfortable room with balcony overlooking the valley. Some traffic noise but double glazed window meant not a problem. Great restaurant and helpful staff. Plenty of parking. Château Thierry village is interesting as birthplace of La Fontaine and only 5 minutes by car from the hotel.
Cons: We couldn’t work the aircon but not a problem as it was not too hot or cold.
Pros: Meals excellent and reasonably priced as were drinks. Staff friendly and helpful.
Pros: Pleasant staff and close to American WW1 monuments and cemetery at Belleau Wood
