Style and decor, nice bar, nice breakfast, very clean. One member of staff was a little dismissive, others were fine.
It was clean, comfortable, close to Chateau and domain of Versailles, quaiet, good parking, very nice staff.
Modern and comfortable with good facilities 10 minute walk from the Palace of Versailles. Good location if you want to see Versailles, but long ride on the train from Paris.
Clean and comfortable Novotel, as ever
The rooms are nice and the whole building is well designed. The employees could deliver more service towards clients.
Restaurant was good and people were friendly. Garage parking was difficult. Hotel advertised as air conditioned, but it is on a hotel-wide basis and cannot be controlled in the room. Our room was too warm and we were unable to cool it off. Also, the Mapquest directions to the hotel were incorrect. We drove around for at least an hour trying to find it, and it was very conveniently located for visiting Versailles.
a good position for touring and visiting the chateau provided you are prepared for a 20 minute walk restaurant was good but with a limited menu
We found the staff very helpfull. The asscess from the garage was very difficult, The garage.
The room was quiet and the beds were very comfortable. The window opened- unusual in modern hotels. The parking system was easy and secure.
The location - good for The Palace (15 min walk) yet far enough away for peace & quiet. Good car parking Bar was quiet and often un-manned.
It was near the event I was attending so few minures walk to return hotel which was good Everything was so so slow. Wait for food 30 minutes, wait to finish checking-in for 30 minutes.
Great location, comfortable bed, superb location. Did not like staying in the pavillion... Would prefer to be in the main building. Had to request baby cot and roll out bed twice!
Excellent service and comfort Desk was unclear about what was included in all-inclusive deal.
Really liked the relaxed atmosphere in the bar. The cleanliness of the bed linen and the bathroom. And the service by all staff was exceptional.
I loved the grounds and our little girl loved playing in there. The room was lovely and spacious and the staff were excellent.
Trianon Palace is a beautiful hotel in a beautiful location. The room we had was spacious and comfortable. The grounds are a pleasure to walk through. It is conveniently placed for the town and the Palace of Versailles. The staff are polite and attentive. One of the lifts was not working when we arrived and was still not working when we left. The one lift that was working was very slow. The hotel is very expensive. This is to be expected for a hotel of this quality, buIt is particularly noticeable when you add up the extras - parking is 20 euros per night, breakfast is 33 euros.
The rooms in the Pavilion where we stayed were tastefully decorated, the beds were extremely comfortable, and everything was spotless. Room service was great - prompt and tasty. The highlight was the spa, I had a really fantastic prenatal massage that got rid of all aches and pains. The air-conditioning unit in the room was impossible to figure out! Luckily the windows opened so when it was a little stuffy we were able to air the room.
The hotel was fantastic, I used to stay in good hotels, but I've never stayed in a hotel like Trianon. Bring nice clothes to get confortable. nothing
The distance to the castle and conference location
Great location. Very clean rooms. Nice decor. Lovely staff. Good wifi in our room. We bought our own breakfast and were told we could not eat the rooms. They were still so accommodating in the dining room while we ate our own stuff.
Nicely refdecorated hotel offering a great location for the Chateau de Versailles. Large comfortable room. Staff are very helpful. Internet very slow connection. Breakfast is quite expensive
You can't ask for a closer location to the Palace of Versailles and the parking is priceless. Cafes to the hotel nearby sell tickets to the Palace. We didn't take the breakfast but probably should have. Nearby cafes were very expensive.
Calm. Decoration. History (birthplace of Louis XIV). Restaurant closed in August
The fantastic view, both from our room and from the restaurant. The spacious room accomodations and excellent quality of both the Dinner and the Service. The only slight criticism would be the floor tiling in the bath room could stand to be updated/renewed.
surroundings, view, spacious rooms, parking limited service (lobby, terrace)
Lovely room and view Very expensive, €16 for a poor continental breakfast.
the view to Paris and the town of St Germain a little outworn
I spent one night at the hotel before going in the morning to airport. I had dinner at the hotel Hotel need some renovation
Wireless broadband internet. Spacious rooms. Ambiance and fabulous view over the city. Too few free power outlets in the room. The quality of the restaurant is good but prices are relatively high.
the lovely views, the helpful and courteous staff, and great food and stylish comfortable rooms.
The location is superb with open views over Paris, the Seine and a short journey to town, especially La Defense business district. Needs an upgrade of facilities. Problems with the door, internet access and plastic sheeting which had to be taken off the bed.
St. Germain en Laye is a stunning town on the outskirts of Paris. Pavillion Henri IV is a stunning historic palais, with marbled entry way, a five star restaurant, and an outside deck overlooking paris. The sense of elegance steeped in history is worth the visit. When you order a cab for the airport, specify a taxi, not a limo. I ended up with a 90 euro drive to the airport!
Recently renovated, modern and clean, very good value for money. Offstreet parking for €11. Would recommend.
convenient for markets and restaurants
Simple but effective! Tried to charge us 12 euro each for breakfast but no problem changing to 9.80 when we queried it
location, parking, efficient rooms, breakfast access from garage with luggage. elevator blocked with cars had to use stairs with luggage. not a small issue as we had been traveling for over a month.
The location of the hotel was very good. The staff at the reception was very nice and helpful. Breakfast facilities were poor. No, it was living up to my expectations.
The hotel was clean and the staff were lovely. The rooms were of a high standard, much better than the amount of stars that the hotel has ! The location was a bit hard to find, but was close to the chateau and the train stations. The nearby restaurants were also varied and very good. I would recommend this hotel highly.
The hotel was near the Versailles Chateau, about 7 min walking. The staff was friendly, there is a parking garage and it is near the RER station for Paris. The breakfast was in standard, also the room.
Location. The staff was very helpful. The room was a bit small, but you are there to see things not sit in a hotel room.
very small room and bed, medieval
the hotel was recently renewed. Room really small, the soap/shower gel never filled in in 5 days...
Location ideal for visiting the Palais de Versailles. Friendly and efficient staff at reception and conciergerie. Bathroom rather 'cramped'. Some attention to decoration (e.g. peeling paint) needed.
Very close to all facilities in Versailles Inability of the reception staff to properly recognise an Accor A-Club member
I really loved the atmosphere here and the close access to all the special areas in Versailles. They need to work on storage while staying for longer visits. They need draw space and a little bit newer furniture at this price level.
Very expensive as 4 stars hotel, with normal rooms and normal facilities charging for the internet Wi Fi connection is not necessary since they are charging high rates for the rooms, good hotels provids Wi Fi free as a facility,
Close to Versailles palace, quite hotel, friendly staff. Renovation overall is needed.
fitness and sauna The restaurant and the breakfast room were closed and we had to wait our turn for the brekfast
The whole experience was a great experienceN
Excellent loction near to Chateau de Versailles, very friendly and helpful staff, hotel very neat although somewhat impersonal, free wifi. Own covered garage None.
Location is perfect, near the Chateau. Interior is very modern, not inviting. Bathrooms need makeover: shower in bath etc. Very small and badly equiped wellness, turkish bath was out of order
The location of this hotel was excellent, just 200m walk from the front door of the Château - there is nothing better. The staff was excellent, helpfully pointing out the lovely square close by that was full of great restaurants. The breakfast was not worth the cost. We should have gone out for breakfast, but as we wanted to beat the crowds we had no easy choice.
location - cleanliness
the tranquility. perfect english language of the front desk staff. Proximity to the train station was a big advantage. didnt have to use the taxi room service lack of english language and have to pass info thru the front office desk
The staff were polite and attentive. The hotel was in an excellent location that made trips into Paris and the surrounding towns, via RER, very easy. The restaurants in Rueil 2000 were within easy walking distance and offered good service at reasonable prices. No.
You can reach la defense with taking rer trains. Better to look a hotel in downtown.
Breakfast The complaint is rather about the service between booking.com and the hotel: 2 hours later, the hotel still did not know about my booking ! And when I wanted to modify the booking from 2 days to 1 day, booking.com gave the not so funny answer that the hotel had no available room !!!
reduced price for week end, nice place near RER
Bed, TV, Internet Breakfast was extra to pay and not that good....
Fast, free wireless internet. Delicious breakfast, good restaurant. Fitness center. Less than 5 min from train station. Safe area with many good nearby restaurants.
Location is amazing. Right across street from Paris train and Starbucks next door!! Bathroom needs a little more work (cleanliness).
Great location. Within minutes of the chateau. Very small room even in EUROPEAN standards.
Personal was nice The hot water did not work the first night. After that it worked
The location, near Paris, is great. Within 10 minutes you are in Paris. I stay at this hotel every 2 or 4 weeks when i come from Holland by car. I took this hotel because of the value for money but after 5 months things are not the same as in the beginning. For example, every weekend they shut down the hot water and then tell you that 'you are the only one' - When you call back later (new shift started) the other person tells you that the entire building is using the exact same pipes. After 3 times without hot water in the weekend and the way the personal acts when we ask them about it i doubt that i will be coming back any time soon.
comfortable and spacious facilities . Nice view of the river and. location more fit as business hotel. alot of goog intensions without the final touch. Big shower heads with not enough water pressure. Automatic lights in rooms don't always shut or turn on when you need them to. Request for extra blanket or pillow were turned down.
The staff was very polite and helpful. The food was nice though a bit rich. The Spa and swimming pool facilities were perfect and very relaxing. The rooms are compact with everything one would expect in a French 3 stars hotel. The restaurant menu was a bit restricted in its choices, one would struggle to eat there everyday for more than 2 days without re-ordering the same dish. While a spa, the restaurant clearly focuses on heavy and rich traditional french cuisine wih no "healthy" choices.
The room was always clean neat and a pleasure to be in. With each room you have a large balcony with french doors. The room could be made as dark as night or filled with natural light. The automatic lights worked well for me. The lights of the room only work while your key is in the slot holder. The bed was a queen size bed with plenty of comfoters and pillows, you have your own control for the temp in the room. The bathroom is the shower and tub combo, the tub is a large tall tub, very nice to soak in. shower head and a detachable hand held also. Also with a large sink blow dryer and heated towel rack which helps heat up the bathroom. Hotel has gated entry located by the river&park in a nice area. The indoor pool, hot tubs were beautiful. I thought the breakfast buffet was a bit pricey, you can stop at a pasterie shop for some fresh products at a much resonable cost.
via booking.com we had a good deal, so we could enjoy the really clean rooms and spa. its a nice area as well, not to far away from the train. Well the bar prices etc;;all what you can not buy via booking.com is quite expensive
Spa, room equipment, lounge
Free Parking, Very Calm Hotel, about 15 mins walking to the train station (RER A), Very nice big room, very nice swimming pool and jacuzi, to be honest i just choose this hotel becuase of its location near to my training course centre there but am amazed of what i've seen. its not in a shopping area so that you have to take the train to any shopping area and its not that far.
Asbolutely Fabulous!!! Beautiful Location - great amenities and fantastic rooms - could not fault it. Nothing.
We stayed at this hotel in May and foound the rooms to be comfortable and modern+ the staff extremely friendly and helpful. Additional spa/recreation facilitiesa are a bonus that our children particularly enjoyed Laundry had a peculiar odour
Superb location just outside Paris yet very convenient to get there quickly.Breakfasts very good and the surroundings were a really nice park area next to the Seine.
We arrived quite late to the hotel for a night en route to Normandy from Alsace. The atmosphere of this small countryside maison with a luxury gourmet restaurant is very good, and its staff was friendly especially at dinner where despite being after formal closure hours, still offered us simpler dishes. The room was nicely decorated and comfortable, and also of good size. The hotel's location is good to explore nearby small villages just outside Paris, including lovely St-Germain-en-Laye. It really lived up to its reputation as a member of the Relais&Chateaux Hotel. Would not mention negatives as we did not come across any. However, coming through the Paris road network, this was the hotel most difficult and lengthy to find (but only until you do not reach St.-Germain) even late night. Use of GPS or very good map is recommended unless you are an insider to Paris traffic. We did not have breakfast here so cannot comment on that.
I liked everything...
Excellent ambience - good location - friendly, attentive, helpful staff Bed a bit hard
Quite environment, reminds us of our mountains in Lebanon Passages to the room
We had a beautiful meal in amazing garden with fantastic wines. The wine list had great range of half bottles at great prices. The price of breakfast
Nice hotel but restaurant closed on mondays. and no tea or coffee making facilities available in the rooms
the location and its grounds are the only good things i can say about this hotel the restaurant was bad the food over priced and the staff not pleasant
The restaurant was very good It was expensive for the amenities. trying to be more upmarket than it warranted
Good location, well appointed rooms, very quiet
The place is really beautiful, the flowers, the restaurant, the toilet products. The hotel could be renewed. Sunday morning there was a tennis tournment next to the hotel and we were woken up by the noise.
the location for the company am visiting , security and room size the staff , the air condition was not working and when we open the window the mosquitoes attacks us , the toilet was small
I real loved the room, it is very large and very well equipped, I also liked the food corner where you can buy some food to eat at your room, it is a bit expensive though, but for a late night bite in is perfect, and you can take it up stairs and heat it in the microwave and you have your hot meal. I just wish they had more English speaking tv channels, at the moment they only have skynews
Large rooms (above Paris std) Too expensive for the quality, strange breakfast formula
good thing is the location. The rooms itself are spacious but the bed and bathroom are IBIS like quality. I do not regard them as Novotel Quality. Still I choose the hotel because it is very close to a client of mine. At its full price of 200 eur the hotel is definetly overpriced in my book. At its rate of 139 (with no cancellation) it is fair.
Good sized room. Nice view over courtyard. No availability of table for evening meal in preferred dining room and for preferred menu, even though we arrived at 6.00 p.m. and the restaurants were not due to open until 7.30 p.m. Wedding party went on late into the night disturbing our sleep. Expensive charge for breakfast. Disinterested staff.
Bathrooms were very clean. Staff pleasant. No pool or tennis courts. Beds very saggy; bedding cheap - pillows infirm and blanket and sheet instead of a duvet is archaic. It is too far away from any amenities meaning you either have to spend every hour there or drive to anywhere you want to go and pay for parking, making sure you have change for all the car parks and parking meters in your purse - bring a huge bag of change with you! Ville d'Avray not particularly nice. Hotel should offer a minibus service to Versailles and Paris. There is no incentive to stay there when you could be in a city centre hotel. I am also unsure how it has four stars as it lacks leisure facilities.
The room was comfortable and spacious and the food in the Cafe restuarant was of a good standard The hotel were preparing for three functions and the staff were so engaged with these, we received rather poor service. To get pre dinner drinks we had to find the barman and we had the feeling that as ordinary guests we were not looked after. Additionally the Hotel itself is difficult to locate (even with Satnav} and also access to the underground car parkl is not easy. For a luxury hotel the bedding was sub-standard. The implication on the website was that the hotel stood in extensive grounds. This is not the case, it merely backs into a public park and lake.
Our room was large and had a view of the lake and trees. We saw another room which was much smaller but still very well furnished and with views to the lake. The food is very good but relatively expensive. The restaurant is by the lake, request a lakeside table if you want to enjoy the view. The restaurant is covered but open on the sides.
Charming Hotel, lovely decor, good food. Gardens and courtyards were particularly attractive being on different levels with interesting plants and flowers. We loved it. Nothing. Would definitely go again. Maybe the lack of lifts and the many steps would not be suitable for older and infirm people.
cleanliness, calm, environment not an hotel actually: it's a senior residency for elderly people which proposes a few rooms for visitors from the outside
This was great value for money don't worry about the shared shower it is facing the rooms very spacious and claen and saves you a bit of cash would highly recommmend. hotel is in a fantastic setting.
Rooms very clean, personnell very friendly, restaurant very good Very difficult to find, GPS coordinates on booking.com incorrect. IN fact the castel has been split up in 3 parts: 1 part is a home for the elderly, 1 part is for personal use and the third part is the hotel!! The neighborhood is a bit scary.
the only thing was fresh air and sorrounding nature (forest etc...) lack of electric cordless kettle in the room, shared showers, lack of pub/bar to get a drink in the evening or to eat some dinner, non-european type of breakfest, only jam, coffee, tea typical French way, no meat, nothing warm like sausages/hot dogs/mashed eggs ...., no wi-fi coverage in my room (3rd floor)
Excellent location with stunning views and good location for Paris and of course St Germain en laye. Good forest walks too Lack of service, run more on military lines, possibly just teething problems having been a retirement home. At breakfast we were left on our own with no-one in sight unless they were clearing tables at 9.30am sharpe. Would not recommend dinner at the hotel.
Very nice coutry side and former royal residence. Well kept. If you like a military life, this a hotel for you. Nice rooms with nests of insects, no reception with hall, no lobby bar, restaurant open ONLY for reservation 10 hours before (!!!), the gate closes at 9 PM, you can get in with a code but the car remains outside in the woods. Have nice stay there....
