Very cosy and picturesque hotel at nice countryside location. Friendly staff. Lacks some cleaning and maintenance.
Superb Breakfast - best hotel breakfast in 40yrs of travelling! Yes - the room (Durance) had no windows to look out on to the countryside, only skylights. So for an overnight stay it was great - but - because of that feature we would not stay more than 1 night.
I loved the rural location and smells that come with that (as I grew up on a farm). I was also pleasantly surprised at the space in our room, there was a lot more than I had anticipated.
Imaginative decor and excellent breakfast It needs a restaurant as there is no alternative within several kms
Excellent breakfast! Nice, English speaking lady (owner I suppose). There were sheep and goats almost next door. The room could have been more clean. Although the room had been cleaned better during the stay.
Two excellent, friendly, professional, hardworking and humoorous members of staff, who quckly built rapport with us.Loved the art work around the hotel, in particular the wonderful wooden roomdivider in the reception area - fabulous. Just a point about our toilet in the bedroom, - nice to have a separate loo, but getting in and out was a squash - I'm only 9stone 10lbs - the toilet roll holder ison the wrong side of the room - if it was on the other wall, it would have been easy to get in and out - as it was it was a definite squash!
Room was large and very clean, the hotel is new and modern, short drive to town. The parking was very good and safe. The name of the hotel was changed after we booked and no one advised us so it took us an hour to find the place even the locals couldn't tell us where it was. Now that we know the name of the hotel it is very easy to find.
We had a hard time to find it even using the GPS but once found it was just fine. They have done many renovations and are still at it. Once the first floor is done it will be wonderful. The toilet was skinny - too skinny for many. The carpet going into the breakfast room was not laid well and could trip someone. Need good signage coming into town - way up the hill.
Nice hotel with friendly staff. Situated on a large roundabout opposite Mc Donalds take away. Spotless room. Firm but comfortable bed. Flat screen tv. Nice bathroom. Great little restaurant behind Mc Donalds 200 metres from hotel. Less than 1 km from hotel large supermarket with cheap petrol station. Wc and bathroom should have been combined as wc is a bit on the small side. Table lamp had no wall socket to put plug into which was weird. My sat nav took me into town and had trouble finding the place. Second time i tried it took me there but best to print out map of Gap from booking.com directions. Cable tv but no english channels.
large flat screen tv , modern style room. toilet room was alitte on the small side.
The hotel itself is very beautiful, the rooms are very modern and pretty large. The view is superb from the eating room, but the hole hotel is placed at the edge of a business zone (a downer, but if you can forget it or if you have a room facing the open fields, it's no problem) You can see the owners do their maximum, but don't have much time for you. (business zone, see above)
Very nice, modern and quiet Hotel with very friendly staff members. Very good kitchen too! Nice view on the little village Chorges.
Location and surroundings. Very nice and welcoming staff. Not something to complain about, but the breakfast is typically french.
New hotel, struggling to get everything in place (only 1 menu in the restaurant, airco not yet working , directions to hotel not up to date).Has potential under professional staff.
A beautiful new hotel . Designed in a very special way. The scenery out the windows around is spectacular. There were some problems with the instructions to get there. Also, it is located in some industrial area so arrival is not very welcoming, but the hotel is nice ans so is the owner.
We liked the modern design of the hotel and the comfort and cleanliness of the rooms. We booked early and had a lovely view (but on the other side of the hotel you have a view onto a building firm). Nice looking tv but very few channels and poor quality.
Spotlessly clean. Would have liked a choice of meal on a Sunday night
very new hotel, centrally located to a few major mountains for ski. captivating views. highly recommend since the hotel is very new, the signs and directions nearby are not very well marked
We arrived late but nothing was too much trouble for the staff
Clean, good value, excellent restaurant (Logis de France 3 chimneys), good family room
For us it was an overnight stop on the way to Cannes, during the summer. The room for 4 was spacious and clean, as was the rest of the hotel. There was a jacuzzi and swimming pool for relaxing and beautiful walks on the doorstep The staff were polite but not over friendly. The breakfast (not included in the price) was adequate but basic, apart from the orange juice that you made yourself in the electric juicer.
Nice hotel in very small village, with good swimming pool. In our case (low season) good price- performance.
Far-far-away from crowded cities. We like the location! Really small village in the hills, quiet and nice hotel. Room is wooden, hi-tech bathroom. This is really a small village, no night clubs or shopping malls. Wonderful nature around. Perfect secret destination. Should be ski-popular in winter.
Very close to montain and walking tracks.
Everything about this place is simply unforgettable - the design, the staff, the location, the very reasonable price. The hotel is a great place to relax and enjoy peace and tranquility. The airfield next door adds a fascinating dimension, and it's hardly a disturbance. Would love to visit the place again and stay longer.
Passionate of aviation and aerial sports !!!
clean, modern room Food at restaurant average and prices reasonable. Check your bill on checkout because we were charged more for wine than advertised menu price.
Easy to find, good meal. Basic facilities but more than adequate for a one night stop-over to break a journey.
Despite the receptionist not being able to speak English very well she was very friendly and accommodating when I called to say we would be half an hour late and waited for our arrival. The room was lovely and spacious with aircon and a balcony. The DIY laundry facilities were good despite being a bit pricey (nearly €6 for a load in the washing machine).
very friendly and helpfulmanagement, they were new to this hotel and doing a good job.
a very boring surrounding. more the idea of a hotel for lorry drivers than tourists.
It is a little bit hard to find the hotel
A little out of the way and therefore quiet. The beds were extremely small. And the restaurant was closed despite the fact that they advertise it being open 7 days a week.
not much, good job I was only there for one night ! the smell of stale smoke in rooms, no food available even though I booked a meal
It was suitable for our family
Great to able to book online. Door security pin code for access to building. They had no pre knowledge of our booking, or that we had paid, no knowledge of our reservation, we were found a room.
Very friendly Restaurant was not operating when we were there
Good location, near city center.
The food was awful
Breakfast was stressful. Had to ask for cups, plates, spoons and bread.
good convenient free parking. restaurant in hotel was open and staff was friendly and spoke English. Breakfast was nothing special.
Localisation Un standing obsolete pour ce trois etoiles loin de remplir ces exigences Chambre vielliote odeur de tabac aucune climatisation bruit en fait l'horeur.
We only stopped one night on our way to the south of France. Good hotel room a little on the small size. Good continental breakfast. Ten minutes to the town.
the restaurant,food and excellent service
We arrived late (23:00 - 24:00) but the girl at the front desk was very pleasant and helpful. Her english was weak but she made a real effort to communicate. Romm was very small and very stuffy. We brought a portable fan with us. It made all the difference.
Nearby the city. Parking close to the hotel. Very small room. Dirty little bathroom (a lot of mould on showerglass)Doors where not painted.
not much lack of evening meal but staff tried their best to come up with some food as there was no local alternative. strong smell of smoke even in non smoking rooms. We had to try 3 different rooms because of the smell
Friendly staff and a nice restaurant
Best avoided in the future WE found this hotel impersonal and not up to the standard of the Inter hotel in Cambery.
Fantastic setting, alpine views all around.Easy and difficult walks straight from the hotel front door. Lots of facilities, gym, indoor swimming pool, internet, games etc. During my stay, the place was full of very elderly people, although with the facilities available, I am sure this was to do with the timing of my stay. There was only one choice, plus a vegetarian choice for the evening meal, and it was served rather like in a works canteen, although it was reasonably priced.
good inhouse pool and gym, breakfast buffet, majority of guest part of travel groups age 65+ very small room, bathroom needs renovation, long walking distance from parking to room with very slow elevator, WiFi only in reception area, hotel few kilometers outside the village
good location, good sized rooms. The staff were friendly and helpful. Good facilities for family the kitchen cupboards are all kept locked
Provided a comfortable, peaceful overnight stay while travelling between destinations. We enjoyed the views of the mountains and lake nearby. Buffet dinner was very basic and process not explained on arrival regarding purchasing voucher. Little information was provided on arrival about the hotel's facilities. The majority of the clientel age group was elderly. The distance from the main reception to room excessive especially when carrying luggage.
Fantastic views of mountains and ideal base for touring the alps. Would have no hesitation in recommending the hotel to our friends.
The pool, sauna and hammam free, the beautifull view of the mountain
The view. It really should be advertised as a hotel for seniors. There was not one person there under 60. The main activity was to play bingo. There appeared to be dance classes but it is beyond me how the people that I saw, who could hardly walk, would participate in a dance class. The hotel staff were aloof and unconcerned to the point of rudeness.
