Pros: Very kind and helpful hosts! The accommodation is situated in a very nice and quiet environment. All we needed in the accommodation was there and it was clean and tidy. We would recommend this place to anyone!
Pros: This place is a hidden jewel, owned by Stevie and Steve, 2 lovely persons who've done all this beautiful work with the authentic wish (or mission) of making people as confortable and has happy as possible, to help them reconnecting to the nature (protected nature) and to themselves, with essential (and forgotten sometimes) pleasures, and also lots of possibilities to practice arts, relaxation and everything you could feel like doing in such a peaceful place... Its heaven and maybe Stevie an angel.... Don't miss that chance!
Pros: We were looking for somewhere to stay that's quite cozy, friendly and laid back and we picked the correct one here at La Tuilerie. It's run by a mature couple who are very welcoming and friendly, and, might I add, swift with communication, which was great because we arrived a lot later than when people would usually be checking in. The kitchenette is small but cute and has everything you need available for your short stay there. TV reception is great and has english freeview to watch if so desired. A BBQ is supplied and there is also a BBQ area next to the small lake which has a good fish stock if fishing takes your fancy. The nearest village is about 3 or 4 minutes away with car where there is a small supermarket which stocks pretty much everything you need and the surrounding roads are perfect for cycling. The house itself has a very nice charm, as indeed does the surrounding woodland, which is also detailed with walkways. The house also has a games room (billiards, mini snooker, etc) which has access through a connected door to the room we were staying in. Stevie and Steve are great hosts and we could not recommend them enough.
Cons: WiFi is a little slow but acceptable if you are not streaming.
Pros: During our stay, Stevie and her family made us feel so welcome and went out of their way to make sure we were comfortable and felt at home. The room was perfect, with everything we needed, we had one of the best nights sleep we'd had for ages. We had only intended to use it as a base whilst looking for properties in the area, but ended up really enjoying the gorgeous surroundings and hospitality and wished we had stayed longer.
With a stay at L'Ancien Presbytère in Le Dorat, you'll be 2.3 mi (3.7 km) from Collegiate Church Saint-Pierre du Dorat and 19.9 mi (32 km) from Lake Saint-Pardoux. For a surcharge, guests may use a roundtrip airport shuttle (available on request) and a train station pick-up service.
Pros: The owner was very welcoming. The property is charming and our room with the balcony was gorgeous.
Pros: Owners are lovely, breakfast is good.
Cons: Door of to the room doesn't fit and is wood planks meaning people can actually see into your room! There is a curtain, but that unfortunately still means you hear everything going on in the corridor (and people in the corridor hear whats going on in your room). Got woken up by loud guests around midnight who were arriving because of that... bathroom doesn't have a door either. Wifi does not work (were told to keep trying but gave up after two dozen of tries).
Pros: Very quiet place, great building, fabulous owners, loved it, and there was a fan in the room....
Cons: I am being picky, but personally ( woman travelling alone over 70) a lift upstairs would have been good, Lisa helped to take my bags up though, which was excellent, a grab handle to aid cocking my leg over the bath side would have been a help, am not disabled, just old!
Pros: Very comfy and quiet area
Pros: Rural, rustic and peaceful but near to town. Warmest welcome from Lisa and Tony, making us feel instantly at home. A welcome refuge for tired travellers. Comfortable beds, like sleeping on clouds and stunning, rustic authentic rooms with exposed beams. Amazing to meet the resident animals, Sapphire the European Eagle Owl, the turkeys, ducks, geese, pigs and others.. Peaceful evenings in a little piece of heaven with wildlife and quiet. Would definitely come here again and our stop over place of choice for breaking up the long drives to various destinations in France. 5* rating from us!
Pros: This was a perfect stop over for our big party of 11 (3 families) Tony and Lisa were so welcoming, our rooms were very comfortable and the views and peaceful environment were so welcome after a long days driving! Also a real bonus that Lisa cooked us the most amazing 3 course dinner, and also made our packed lunches for the next days travelling for a small price which was so worth it. Tony spent time showing us his European Eagle Owl the morning before we left. Kids loved it as did we learning all about these fascinating birds.
Cons: It was perfect!
Pros: A good family atmosphere
Pros: Freindlyness of owners, good food and especially show of owners eagle owl.
Pros: Hosts very accommodating.
Pros: The friendly hosts and their knowledge of the history of the local area. The quiet locality

Pros: Fantastic breakfast of orange juice, coffee, cereal, fruit salad, croissants etc. Couldn't have asked for more. An impeccable, little chambre d'hote.
Cons: Sadly, no restaurants open in the evening.
Pros: Everything lovely lovely people
Cons: So clean and welcomeing
Pros: This is a lovely little bed and breakfast in a lovely little town. Unfortunately it was only a stopover for us so we didn't have time to explore as much as we would have liked to. Colin made us very welcome and we had a comfortable stay
Pros: Good breakfast, welcoming friendly host.
Pros: We stayed on Le Dorat for a couple of days. The maison was very comfortable. Host very friendly and most helpful.
Pros: The breakfast was fabulous
Cons: A curtain that pulled all the way across the window
