The hotel is very close to the town centre and has on site parking. The rooms are very modern and well appointed. Breakfast was good value for money.
It was a nice clean hotel, price very resoable but the breakfast, nothing special , I expected a bit better for the 8€pp The only remark I can make on the rooms is that the TV channels are all French, no BBC nor CNN I was happy clean fast and cheap
The staff were very friendly and helpful during our short stay.
Free parking. Right in the center.
Good location for overnight stay for car journey through France to and from Spain, Italy and South of France
The hotel is lovely and so is the village. The staff was kind and helpful. There is no elevator although the stairs are charming.
Great ambiance, clean, young,, friendly enthusiastic staff. Loved the food: excellent continental breakfast and the dinners were great too. Very French ( this is a compliment).
Great atmosphere and fabulously decorated and peaceful rooms. Lovely garden to have breakfast. Short walk to a dozen restaurants.
The pool was not built...
The hotel is nice and situated close to the little village Grignan, a very nice little place. Although the hotel restaurant was good, very nicely situated in the hotel garden, we certainly also enyoed dinner in a few other restaurants in Grignan.
Very friendly staff. Lovely room. Breakfast plentiful and served in a lovely white linen breakfast room with silver pots for tea and coffee. Very close to the village centre which has many places to eat to cover all budgets.
Very charming and authentic hotel. Very nicely decorated and furnished. Quiet. Great garden. In a agreable village
Excellent very helpful staff with good/very good english, good food, great room. Lovely setting no lift in 3 storey annex
The hotel was chic in a French country house style and the staff were very helpful. The village has narrow streets and restaurants. No complaints
Top hospitality; top atmosphere; top service; beautiful (non chloric) swimmingpool and terras; wonderful village!
Nice surroundings, excellent swimming pool area, room with charme, Breakfast for 11 € per person was much too expensive
We had a lovely stay and a happy time. Staff were extremely helpful and the dining facilities were very romantic In our room there was a steep stairway to sleeping area and this was difficult for older person.to climb. Otherwise bedroom very nice.
lovely old building in lovely grounds
The first room we were shown had a loft and awkward layout with no view. We asked if there was a room with a view available, and immediately were shown a beautiful room with a balcony and view of the mountains. The staff was very kind and made it feel like changing the room was no problem at all.
The hotel is located in a pretty and quiet park. The rooms were decorated in a mixture of old and new style giving a cosy feeling. Our room had an additional heating fuel stove which was smelling lightly.
Very nice hotel big room you also get what you paid for, very good location, very quiet. Service good would return in the future. Found the breakfast a little sparse. Would have been nice for a mini bar in the room.
location and beautiful building and friendly staff obilgotary breakfast for each guest significant extra cost
the historic value of the property and its contentc lack of individual televisions in the rooms.
rooms have been recently refresh, refurbished and they are very cosy, quiet and comfortable. Special mention to our bathroom with was huge the swimming pool was not very clean
Excellent facilities, superb food and drinks. Nothing
international TV stations need improvement (CNN, RAI, German stations), poor pictures
the ambiance, the food and the peacefullness were all very good. the staff was attnetive. when we opened our windows, we were invaded by flies, room 18. after i killed most of them, I complained to the front deask, only to be told that the hotel is near a farm and there are flies sometimes.
The location is magnificent. The restaurant is excellent. The room was comfortable and we would definitely stay here again. The breakfast was very basic for euro 12.50.
The setting was incredibly beautiful
The ambiance and location, we had a suite with a walk out garden, really good, access a little hard for less mobile people. Thought the breakfast was a little below standard.
This was our second visit - charming atmosphere, excellent food, nice swimming pool, wonderful view from roof top where breakfast and dinner are served in summer. Interesting pretty mediaeval village to explore. Very enjoyable stay.
Rooms individually furnished with antique French furniture. Superb meal in the restaurant and extensive wine list to suit all budgets. ( The sparkling wine was particularly good value )
Great Hotel. Wished we could have stayed longer. Our room opened out onto a patio overlooking the pool. Be sure to have dinner. Food was excellent. And breakfast served on the rooftop terrace was very tasty.
The location of the hotel is very picturesque and the staff were flexible with breakfast requests. Reception staff were very helpful. The room was very cramped with an additional bed, which was not of adequate size for a person in excess of 5'. There was no airconditioning and when the windows were opened we were joined by 2 bats(chauve souris) causing much mirth and anguish at the same time!!
Beautiful location, lovely village, excellent terrace restaurant. Very pleasant, helpful staff. As there was no a/c, probably rarely needed anyway, a fan would have been good on very hot night - none available.
We liked the quiet location and the ambience of the medieval village. It was relaxing to walk around the buildings and surrounding countryside as well as enjoy the fine dining at the restuarant in the evening. Only a small suggestion to improve the signage to the property as we found it difficult locating the place.
The drive to the location and arrival at the location and the walkout suite to the grassed garden. Breakfast a bit meager for Canadians
Good position, fair service for good money, easy out-of-working hours, good breakfast, familiar staff Bathroom has poor water protection mainly when using shower - plastic doors or waterproof curtain would improve the comfort a lot.Better air circulation in the bathroom would help as well.
It's a fair walk to the town centre but no problem with by car
The room was attended daily. Fresh towels and cleaning was daily and up to standard Nothing in particular
good price, good breakfast room quite basic, difficult to find hotel
Ok hotel if you really need a last minute shelter... dirty rooms but dirt cheap....
I enjoyed the fact that this hotel still accepts smokers. This hotel should not be in operation: rooms are in a terrible condition, dirty, floor destroyed by water, no maintenance. Reception closes @21hrs. Key stored in machine, but was not functioning. I arrived 21h05 and could not get the key. No phone response. Receptionist tried to leave @ 21h15 and had to check me in manually.
Convenient & cost was very reasonable. Breakfast good. Staff friendly and helpful. Clean towels in room every day - unnecessary really. A fan was avialable in my room but my friends had to ask for one. Room was very basic and cheerless and ws in urgen need of redecoration. No air-conditioning. The shower room smelt strongly of drains and was in need of refurbishment and the bad smell was the first thing noticed when I opened the door into the room. On a road which remained very busy throughout the night and becasue of the lack of air-conditioning in August the window had to be open.
LOw cost, convenient location on route to Cote d'Azur and proximity to centre of Montelimar. Poor maintenace of facility, no sink plug etc.
Easy reservation and check in. Hotel is very easy to find and very close to Geant (superstore) and centre of Montelimar. Free wireless internet. Towels were very thin and rooms could use a very deep cleaning exercise. The use of the shower created a complete mess in the bathroom.
the only saving grace was the friendly lady at reception i was expecting basic but this was beyond anything i expected - tiles missing from the bathroom - no hook to hold shower up on wall - thin very small towels - basic small fan in temperatures of over 40 degrees - not even a kettle, cup or anything for a drink - the maching downstairs that had drinks run out and was not filled - nowhere to sit with family other than in the room - worst hotel ever stayed in hence checking out early and finding a 4 star in Lyon
Location, pool, quietness The room was very clean indeed but smelt of tobacco...
very quiet, romantic country side
A nice small hotel in a quiet isolated location but very close to Grignan and direct access on the main Montélimar - Valreas road. Excellent breakfast and friendly hotel staff. Be aware that the "woods looking" rooms are in fact looking the hotel parking lot. This is however not such a problem as there aren't so many rooms and car movement.
Spacious room with great airco (no noise at all, just fresh air). Breakfast is good (but expensive). Lots of parkingspace. Breakfast is expensive. The whole hotel is a bit dated. We had a view on the parkinglot and there is only a bath with no possibility to take a shower in it. It's a bit to expensive for a 3 star hotel.
Clean, easy to find, parking, helpfull staff. More like a motel.Functional but no character and quite expensive.Need car to get into village which is stunning.
I highly appreciated the friendlyness of the management run by the owners of the hotel themselves. They always were friendly, committed, uncomplicated and reliable.
Clean modern rooms, very close to interesting old village and castle, exceptional restaurant at a reasonable price. No
The two brothers who run the hotel did not seem to like doing their job. They always seemed to be a "bad" mood. Maybe they did not like Americans. I stayed there three years ago and the front desk was run by college students who were always eager to help and enjoyed answering my questions. The rooms were clean and the property is very well maintained. The hotel is just outside Grignan (about a 10 minute walk). It is a good value and I would recommend it.
hotel is in a great location , excellent management and comfortable rooms. The gourmet restaurant is a bit of a joke , unless you like less than average cooking, many garnishes which looked like miniature trees, and a totally Basil Fawlty bar manager/ host.
Good atmosphere. Lovely views. Charming village.
On our way to the cote d'azur is was a marvelous location to relax .It is a very quiet village and very romantic. The dinner in the garden was very cosy. The view from the room was really marvelous. .
Very peaceful and lovely views - wonderful to have a room that is not a box on top of a box! Would go again.
Quite hard to find especially in the dark website said it was only 5 mins from motorway but it was much further than that Very pretty on arrival restaurant was busy which is always a good sign When we arrived we were told our room had been upgraded but what they did not tell us was a lampost outside our bedroom window was on all night and we had muslin for curtains pretty but useless.
Breakfast was OK. We were not charged for booking out early. Hotel was shut until 3pm when we arrived despite the confirmation stating we could check in at 1pm. No apology offered.Room was very small and bathroom was so small you could barely stand up. Bed uncomfortable, TV not working on many channels, restaurant menu sounded nice but was badly delivered. We checked out a day early.
Very comfortable, nice ambience, very quiet and felt welcome. The food was excellent.
Beautiful location but still convenient for autoroute Restaurant not open on Monday evenings !!
Charming village location excellent friendly staff Bathroom could have been a little better
evening dinner is superb, top cuisine, unexpexted in such a county location. Bed linen very clean and beds good quality. Homely not grand but stay again The swimming pool would have needed cleaning out leaves etc so we could not have a swim
Beautiful, nice atmosphere, friendly personnel, nice pool, very French breakfast.
Excellent location. Food good. Room and bathroom a little small; would benefit being air conditioned.
Dinner/breakfast on the terrace, friendly service and close enough to the Autoroute which makes it a great place to stop when heading down South. The room was very spacious, only the bathroom was rather small in comparison.
Extremely warm and flexible staff ready to help and be of assistance. Great location for wine lovers. Everything was perfect.
although it seems like a former formule1 it was much cleanier and brighter the direction for this hotel could be misleading as the hotel is situated on the village outskirts unfortunatly we did not approach from that direction the satnav took us to centre ville there were no signs as expected from other chains
Excellent experience, the chef & hostess were extremely friendly & helpful, food was delicious, my husband and I really had a great time!
Very good location and excellent food, nice people.
The Price of the breakfast, Did not take breakfast due to Cost when compared to similar hotels we have stayed in
Beautiful place. Very quiet among trees. Impressive swimming pool. The Google place marker is not quite right. The cliffs at Chantermerle-les-Grignan (close to the hotel) are of geological importance, a key location for the lower Myocene.
La tranquilidad. Un ruido de motor en una de las habitaciones durante toda la tarde y noche
We did not enjoy our stay at this hotel , it was not satisfying, interesting or special.. It was not a relaxed,, calm, tranquil or quality establishment. The bedroom was basic, hostel type, no curtains, no pictures, no flowers, no soft furnishings. The price was far in excess of value. It is a backpackers establishment charging luxury prices.
It is set amongst beautiful lavender fields and I felt I was staying in a provincial farmhouse. Good for exploring the area. The poor provisions for breakfast especially when taking into consideration the cost of this meal. We stayed in six different hotels in France and this was the poorest breakfast but the most expensive
