9.2 Excellent
Pros: The views . The hosts. The area. It is only 10 minutes from Lascaux 2 ( prehistoric cave paintings better than the big artificial Lascaux 4 ) and 15 minutes from Le Toth Cro-Magnon man exhibit .Both are must sees. Given enough notice you can dine there
Cons: tricky to find dont rely on Google maps get a local map and some advice from one of the friendly people in the delightful village of Miracourt only 8 minutes away. Also the night stands in our room need to be a bit more stable
9.6 Excellent
Pros: The owners were super helpful. We followed Google Maps which took us down a dirt road and nearly got bogged. We called from a small town nearby and the owner came out to meet us. They are so warm and friendly hosts. Food was amazing and the room was very comfortable. Loved our brief stay.
Cons: Google Maps directing us the wrong way. Make sure you follow signs to the property and don't go down any roads or driveways which aren't marked with their signs.
8.3 Excellent
Cons: Surprised to find that beds were not made and rooms not tidied. Also croissants could have been warm.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: This is an excellent, family-run inn and restaurant in the middle of a delightfully peaceful countryside. The room was well-done and comfortable. We were struck by the silence, even with neighbors. The 1-foot-thick walls stone ensure near silence. There is a court to play pétanque/boules, and a nice forest path. You will be surrounded by peace and nature and then have coffee, croissant, and fresh clotted cream for breakfast. It is easy to find and well-marked. Our only regret is that we only stayed one night.
Cons: Nothing to say here, it was a delight.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Wonderful, peaceful location. So quiet. A warm welcome from Alex and Marion and an evening meal to die for.

Cons: Everything was above expectations
10.0 Excellent
Pros: The views of the valley are jaw-dropping , the hosts are very friendly and helpful and the breakfast is delicious.
9.2 Excellent
Pros: The owner provided an excellent continental breakfast. The location was pretty remote, which suited us, but the whole region is very much countryside with the odd property. If you want peace and quiet this is the place for you.
Cons: It would have been nice to have had a little fridge in the room as, because you were miles from anywhere, it would have been nice to have been able to keep some refrigerated snacks/milk etc.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Gilles en Sylvie make you feel at home from the first moment. Great view, nice rooms, fantastisch food. They knows a lot about all the things you can do in the area. Absolut great.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Modern design, very comfortable rooms, great pool with a backdrop of the valley, hospitality and an awesome breakfast. This place is a hidden gem and would definitely recommend it.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: The property is absolutely gorgeous. Gilles keeps the lawn perfectly manicured, the seats moved into the shade and the pool and hot tub immaculate. The hotel is a very modern build, and the large plate glass windows look over the most gorgeous, serene rolling French countryside. It’s paradise. If you enjoy dinner at the property (and you should), Sylvie is an amazing cook. She is also a lovey hostess that greets you kindly at the door and explains everything you need to know about the property. Both Gilles and Sylvie are happy to help if you need something or have questions. They are very knowledgeable about the surrounding area as well.
Cons: Nothing!
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Everything! This property was a real find... Completely tranquil and restful, the house is stunning with real attention to detail, beautiful paintings and contemporary decor. Our room was luxurious, with a lovely balcony which had wonderful views across open countryside and the use of the pool and jacuzzi were fantastic. Our hosts were so warm and welcoming and the breakfasts and evening meal shared with them, a highlight of our trip. We literally loved every minute of our stay there and would love to return.... No wonder it has just been rated one of the best places to stay in France by ‘The Times’ ... Thank you for a truly wonderful stay.
Cons: Nothing! It was all amazing!
10.0 Excellent

9.6 Excellent
Pros: The property was beautiful with extraordinary view out the window every morning over the valley. The owners were delightful and always helpful. Very informative about things to do and see in this area. Enjoyed breakfast with them and other guests each morning. Also enjoyed the pre arranged dinner prepared by our hosts.

Pros: Second visit to the Chateau. Prior 3 years ago. New female owner lovely and very welcoming. Breakfast good although included in room cost on the previous visit. Room tidy and a good sleep.
Cons: Male owner not so welcoming, said hello but otherwise not wanting to engage in conversation. The opposite of his lovely wife. The once beautiful gardens are run down and in need of maintenance. The male owner needs to put some gardening clothes on and start trimming hedges. The chateau is beautiful but has lost the special feeling that brought us back for a second visit.
8.8 Excellent

Cons: Nothing
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Meticulously kept grounds in a beautiful location overlooking the Lac du Causse, the Chateau itself is a wonderful medium that combines the old-world charm of a castle with modern amenities and chic decor. The surrounding attractions in the area, including Sarlat, Domme, Rocamadour, and Turenne were easily accessible, and close by was Brive, allowing for quick access to a larger town if you’re feeling a bit isolated. The property owners, along with their three beautiful children, welcomed us graciously and we were made to feel like family. If you’re searching for a getaway to Dordogne with the charm of a welcoming family yet still retaining the option for access to a large town with shops & restaurants, then this place is perfect. It certainly was for us.
