Pros: Great location, house full of charm and character
Cons: The views
Pros: The hotel is in a beautiful old style Manor House with really interesting decor and antiques. The gardens are beautiful with chickens and a goat. There was storage for our bikes which was handy as we were cycling across Brittany. Our host spoke English very well and was really friendly. We opted for dinner at the hotel as there’s not much around the rural area without a car, however we were glad we did as it was lovely and we met a French family and tried to practise our French! The breakfast was great with bread and fresh croissant and pastries. The beds were comfy and the facilities in the room were clean. We recommend the hotel to anyone travelling to Brain Sur Villaine. Cons: Staff not engaging at all, had to pay CASH as Credit Cards not excepted- in 2017!?!
Pros: Beautiful house, lovely owner, lovely evening meal and breakfast
Pros: We had a most comfortable stay in this very interesting large 16th century house. Very quiet room and some extra welcome treats (chocolate toffees!) friendly hostess and lovely breakfast. Would definitely visit again!
Cons: There was nothing we didn’t like! It was all good.
Pros: A lovely very old fashioned house, very clean and charming with large bedrooms. The breakfast was a superb large assortment of everything you could wish for in a continental breakfast
Cons: All good but miles from any restaurants
Pros: Beautiful traditional house. Very friendly host. Wonderful views out of the window onto the back garden. The elderflower marmalade at breakfast was to die for!
Pros: The ambiance was lovely. The room was very comfortable warm and spacious. The breakfast was perfect. The lady owner Cathy was very nice and friendly. I highly recommend this property to stay. I will stay here again in the future.
Pros: Everything delightful
Cons: Nothing to dislike
Pros: Beautiful house and welcoming friendly owner. The village is lovely and had a beautiful walk along the river watching the boats.
