We found the food and price's were excellent with a special 'Thank you' to Dominique and his team who looked after us very well on Sunday (26/09/2010) evening for Dinner. Just one word to say, perhaps the menus could be bilingual?
Location, the food in the restaurant, helpful staff there, relaxed atmosphere, museum was interesting Pillows were hard and tracking down the receptionist
The view of the suspended houses and stream was wonderful. I recommend the corner room with the view. The hotel is not new or modern, but it is clean and the view is gorgeous. The breakfast was adequate.
What a great view from our hotel! Although the room was sparsley decorated, the cleanliness of the room and the surroundings made it a great value. A great stopover hotel on our drive through France.
Great location by the waterfall / river and at the heart of Pont en Royans, a great little village in the Vercors mountains The rooms were rather basic but good enough for an overnight stay. The village itself was the real attraction and the Musee by the hotel is worth a visit.
The hotel is located in a lovely village/small town, with stunning mountain scenery, and is an excellent base for visiting the Vercors National Park. The hotel was very comfortable and the owner was very helpful and friendly.
Exellent hotel host! Never experienced such a real hospitality and interest in the guests. Also very good touristic advice - and thus it was a great region to visit! Small room, not well isotated (noise from neigbours)
Good breakfast. Quick walk to town centre. Bathroom was tiny with chemical toilet
The scenery was beautiful.NIce restruant was attached with the hotel with wonderful food.
Very helpful staff.
Very comfortable hotel with free parking. Location was good near centre of town.Mountain views at the back were nice to wake up to. Nothing
Very nice hotel and service. It is clean .le dauphin is in the centre of villard de lans and easy to go
The room was very clean and the stuff were very nice. It's a nice small hotel, with small rooms, That have very small bath rooms, and small dinning room and the smallest Elavator I have ever seen. Nice though!!!
We were made very welcome by the staff.
It was charming and full of character. The rooms were spacious, with nice high ceilings, the separate bathrooms had good showers and sturdy fittings. It is old and so is not luxurious. The views are lovely and it is near everything in the small town. The dining room is big and has dim overhead lighting, so is really lacking in atmosphere and cosiness. A few lamps and candles on the tables would make a huge difference. The breakfast rooms were better. Breakfast was good for continental. Nice fresh bread and croissants even on Sunday.
Breakfast - although no museli on final morning. 24Hr reception Not sign posted from main road/ village road.
Room very clean, staff very friendly Restaurant closed, no seperate shower, bit expensive for a room 96 euro, especially when there was no chance of hot food in the evening. The reception was closed in the morning when I went to pay it opened at 7:45am I left the hotel at 7:15am for a business meeting.
Very pleasant personnel, quiet, comfortable, french breakfast, sufficient parking, 100 m from centre, No balconies
stayed for seven nights, very good for touring the Rhone and the Alps the family at this B&B were wonderfull in all the help they gave us plenty of maps and guids on hand. when we returned after a hard days sightseeing a excellent meal was provided all local produce at modest cost. the family went out of their way for our comfort.Thank you.
The room was simple but practicle and the owners were friendly and helpful. The hotel was advertised as a b&b, but the madame cooked us a 3 course evening meal for 10 euros each which was very pleasant. no
Position of hotel. Room and bathroom too small.
The two swimming pools were very nice and breakfast was included in the price (off season offer). Very friendly atmosphere at breakfast. Staff friendliness was somewhat heterogeneous.
The view from the bedroom widow & the location in the breathtaking village of St Nazaire-en-Royans
Very basic, not very clean, sturdy staff
The town was gorgeous, so location was fantastic - the restaurant was very good Not open during the day, breakfast was expensive and very limited and the credit card facility was not working
Comfortable rooms, all away from roadside, dining room overlooking lake/river. Very helpful staff and heating that was adjustable. The breakfast should have offered more than bread, croissant, butter and jam.
We needed at bed on the way from Spain to Denmark and found it on this hotel. Further the view from window was very good, beside the caves Staff did not understand anything but French and didnot understand that I had paid and booked on the net. Whole town died out at 22
typical small basic french hotel with lovely views of the river and aqueduct. It had everything we needed, and helpful staff.
Personnel went out of their way to more than satisfy my expectations No aircondition in room so it got hot
The staff at this hotel was wonderful. The proprietor was very hospitable, and was willing to stay late so that we could enjoy our evening on her terrace bar. I would return again to this hotel, without hestitation. It was a little out of our way, but the charm and hospitality made this side trip one of the most memorable of our trip.
Location was great, Room small but clean & bed comfortable. Hotel staff were non-existent. Waited 30 minutes just to get served a drink having been persuaded to eat in the restaurant that evening. Meal & wine expensive. Breakfast -waited ages to even be acknowledged - all for a croissant, bread & drink. Paid the bill previous night, understood why as when left the next day there was still no one around - the hotel seemed almost closed! Would recommend for location and price only.
Very helpful staff, lovely dining area, amazing setting, relaxing, quiet, water sports nearby, private parking
